The slight romance is with Yoon Su, he is second lead because his character is less important than Choi Daniel's. This is not a romance focused drama so the arrangements of the casts aren't based on romance.
The whole step sibling troupe is so weird to me. I don’t care if they’re blood or not—they’ve been “siblings”…
They have never been “siblings” when they were toddlers/young children. They were just friends when they were child, they were neighbors. The ML went abroad when he was in school and had no contact with the fl and her families. And their mom and dad are probably married recently, not when they were child but when the ML was in abroad. So all the memories they have for each other is only as friends. the difference between her biological brother and step brother is that she considers one is her mom's son and the other one is her aunt, who was a neighbor, 's son. You didn't feel weird in Go Ahead even tho the FL literally considered and saw them as her own brothers and never think about them in other way but you feel weird here just because they are tagged as a step brother - sister legal way even tho they don't or never consider themselves as brother - sister, also they never had the chance to consider it as they never grow up together and got separated.😶
As a mystery lover, I think rating is about right. Plot development and pacing were unbalanced, too much focus…
Actually for a Chinese drama, 7.7 means average, Not bad, not good. Kdramas tend to get the high ratings but for cdramas, it's not. I think the ratings is ok for it. I'm not sure if you are new in cdrama (im sorry if it sounds rude, i didn't mean anything rude actually) but if you notice carefully then you will get to see in cdramas, 7.7 - 7.8 = average, 7.9 - 8.0 = just ok, pretty good. 8.1 - 8.3 = really good 8.4 - 8.6 = it can be wow and great (so it can be boring) 8.7 - 9.0 = really really great and it's actually rare cases for modern dramas and only historical dramas get this type of ratings.
7.7 doesn't mean it's most hated drama, you probably mixed it up with kdrama's ratings. It just means average and ppl can enjoy it and so they can't as well. The drama wasn't that great, only the leads had good chemistry and a few things were good, other than that i personally found it pretty boring plus the direction were kinda bad but to each their own, everyone has different perspective, so let's respect each other , to those who likes it and to those who doesn't ;)

Nope, both are same. 40 is for DVD/online version and 46 is for TV version. The tv version has a lot of ads and time duration of each episodes is shorter than the online version hence the episode number is high.
not me thinking it again that why in most of the cdramas either the main leads know each other from childhood…
They remember each others's names so you can't say they don't remember each other but they just don't know how they look like in the present time after so many years so they didn't recognize each other. They were kids when they last met and now they are grown ass adults so it's not that unbelievable that they couldn't recognize each other's face.
