Very disappointed
This series should’ve just been called Chan Yeong in class 2 and it’s nothing more than an adaption in name and characters ; Heesu and Seung Won got so little time to develop they’re relationship and feelings for each other and while understand that we aren’t gonna get any kissing scene (the rating plus Ahn Ji Ho was still a minor at the time of filming) the real crimes were the terrible writing, pacing, straight washed scenes taking over, the massive amounts of time the tennis scenes took over, the massive amounts of misunderstandings/miscommunications, and the fact that they’re confessions to each other is sidelined to the last ten mins of the finale episode.Don’t even try to defend this show the only thing that helped it was the actor’s performances but even then so much wasted time and potential

I want to go through that feeling again and again and again.
I feel like this drama numbed me from the world. Yes, that’s the expression. My head, my brain, all become numb, and time stops when I watch it.One of a kind. I can’t believe it’s over. I am crying because I will miss them. I am the fangirl Baek Da Hye is here.
This show is recommended for non-diabetics. It may contain too much sugar sometimes.
Some may consider the story plain. But the execution was very good. Something that was consistent in the drama: Warmth.

All pairings looked good together. Everyone’s chemistry is so good, couples and non-couples. Amazing cast. Very nice drama. I loved every moment. I never liked any ‘famous stars’ portrayals in drama but Tae Sung is the best (can’t believe it is the same too flowery, cheesy Oh Nam Joo from Extraordinary You). Jung Yeol-i is the cutest. And “Yuuuuuuuu Naaaa -yaaa” is one of my favourite lines. Ki-ppeum was a great friend. Han Byeol was the loveliest. Every single character is something amazing. The noteworthy lovely cute moments are uncountable.
Every scene ensured me of how good the directing is. Watching it felt soft.
The story is precious. The meaning behind it is beautiful. It is very informative. I laughed out loud so many times. And I sympathized so much with them. The writing was really clever at times. It was alive.
I don’t deny that the first 7 episodes were a 🌟☆ starry ☆ 🦋 butterfly dream ‿︵εϊз . Those 7 episodes pulled me hard. And after that it because closer to regular kdrama. The drama became more about events and less about characters, but it was still lovely and meaningful. I was expecting more angst in the beginning; that was my only complain. But then it picked up again. The end episodes made up for it. It swiped me off me feet again. Finally, it closed with the vibe it started off with; the best way. What a perfect way to end the drama.
I forget how good this drama manages to make me feel. Then I start an episode, the numbing starts. It makes me feel something new every time.
The music was just good enough to give you drama feels. The ost slowly infiltrated me. One song sounded noisy at first, but it took its effect on me. And in another song the singers' voices resonated. When the drama ended, I cried listening to it because I didn’t want to leave.
Honestly, I was hesitant about the cast when it was announced, but I was sold for their visuals in the promo photoshoot. That manicure picture. It screamed chemistry. They were visually perfect for each other.
And beginning from the first episode, I could feel the not-yet-tangible, in-the-drama-air chemistry. It was already amazing and very entertaining! The directing was so good at showing invisible things. I had a feeling I would love their dynamics. By the second episode I was already in love (with their relationship).
Watching it, I experienced so many sweet feelings. Warmth took over my body from head to toe. After binging a few episodes my face was burning hot and felt red from the feelings simmering in my stomach, and from the pumps of blood my heart fired. I wanted to stop but I couldn’t allow the feeling to go. I woke up with music pieces playing, and their voices talking in my head. Their energy took an effect on me. I was becoming light and bubbly like Tae Sung and Han Byeol. They are holding my heart currently
I JUST LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. And I love how it feels like romance dramas from around 2017. I guess that’s even more why I was pulled.

Story: There isn't really an exciting plot so if that’s what your looking for don’t even bother. Instead, you’ll find a realistic portrayal of what couples in different stages of their relationship go through ie. engagement/planning wedding, marriage on the rocks/divorce, long term relationship/commitment problems. I loved the ending so much because each couple got their ending that suited them (not everyone reconciles or marries).
Acting/Cast: If this wasn't casted the way it was, I don’t think I would have been as obsessed with this show. All the actors (Main & supporting) portrayed their roles perfectly making their character seem like they could be a real person living out their situations. There are some characters that might seem annoying like the girls’ mom and JSM’s character but if you come to accept who they are you’ll find them likable in their own way. The thing that made the casting so perfect is the chemistry. The chemistry between the all the families was perfect, each family felt like they were related in real life, not just acting. Each couple had amazing chemistry that made you root for them. There are so many characters in this drama and I loved each one because even smaller characters got their time to shine. Oh and what makes them so interesting is most of the characters in this drama are flawed like you wont believe which is something you don’t see in Korean dramas.
Music: Not anything to get excited over but it did fit the drama well.
Rewatch: I already want to watch this again because I miss the characters and also the pacing is so well done its easy to rewatch over and over again.
Overall Can We Get Married is one of those realistic dramas with flawed but interesting characters that will make you root for them.

Secret is not your typical drama. It's very dark sometimes and these characters are dark as well too. None of these characters are perfect and have battles to face with some of the decisions they decide to make. So if your expecting a drama with a whole bunch of cutsy mushy romance then this might not be for you. Not saying there isn't any romance at all. The main couple has a great chemistry that will make you swoon.
I also loved the questions that this drama posed. Is it okay to sacrifice yourself for the one you love? Is love more important than family? How far should you go for love? Should you sacrifice your own happiness for someone else? And by the end of the drama I think each of these questions were answered very well. Which makes me love the drama ten times more.
The cast is amazing. I remember seeing Ji Sung on Protect The Boss as the goofy and immature rich son but to see him portray Min Hyuk was amazing. Ji Sung is great and now has made his way into my top actors list. I think he brought this character to life and had an amazing chemistry with Hwang Jung Eum. I didn't know what to expect from her thinking about the role she played in Full House Take 2 but she's really a great actress and knows exactly how to pull emotions from her viewers. They weren't the only great ones in the drama either. Bae Soo Bin and Lee Da Hee were too. Bae Soo Bin takes on the role as Ahn Do Hoon who has spiraled out of control and really becomes the definition of someone who isn't human anymore. He really does a great job! I can't wait to see more from each of these people.
The cast is amazing but I think one of the greatest things about this show is the development of each character. They might have not become a better person but each character developed into someone different from who they are. Each character changed and it was amazing to watch.
No, this drama isn't perfect. I do think the last episode was a tad bit rushed but this drama was so good that I thought it very much deserved a 10. But taking my personal satisfaction aside I gave it a 9 on here because I wanted to be honest. But taking some of those little problems away it's still very much a great drama.
I never pay much attention to OSTs but this one is really good and I ended up downloading the music as well. It always went perfect with every scene and found myself singing along.
This drama took me on a roller coaster ride and I loved every minute of it. It's very addictive and the perfect drama to marathon. As you you can see I said amazing a least five times so it must be amazing. So if you're looking for something like this then this is the perfect drama for you.

Dream A 40 Year Dream
Only watched this for Xiao Zhan as I'm not a fan of heavy propaganda dramas usually from any country. I also have seen both LQ and LRL in other dramas and knew they were good actors and could handle pretty much any role. When I do these reviews, it's always from not just an audience member standpoint, but also as a writer/author. So I am impartial to everyone and everything. I don't like the new title of the drama so to me it's always been "Where Dreams Began" and here XZ aka XCS dreamed a 40 year dream.Pros: This series had a great flowing storyline where you didn't have any filler feeling episodes except for maybe the final 2. Favorite characters were tied with the leads; XCS and TXM or LQ. But at the same time they were also in the cons which I'll explain below. XCS was a man who unwaveringly followed his ideals even when more experienced in life people told him that his ideals would make him lose and regret those who felt inferior to him. After he overcame his physical disability post war, he was even stronger mentally. TXM was the epitome of quiet strength. She was his rock, his anchor even when they weren't yet together, before he realized any of it. Women like her are incredibly inspirational. Not only did she push him but herself.
Many people didn't like YGH and HHL due to their selfishness and cowardice but I did because they were the two morally gray ones in this story. Characters can't just be black or white, they need layers, to be able to evolve in whichever direction. We wouldn't necessarily want them in our lives but as characters on the screen, they were fascinating. The rest of the crew of QT, YQ, YF, DL, Amao, the other guy whose name I don't recall, plus certain parents, uncle Dong were all very awesome characters and all of the actors whether I found their characters necessary or should have left sooner, did a superb job. CHJ was actually the best antagonist out of the batch because you saw his corruption over time as opposed to Heizi, who though I liked as a greedy, money hungry character was too repetitive in his crimes and just came off as downright stupid.
Sets, costumes, OSTs, accents all of that was appropriate for whichever time period you were in.
Cons: Though they were trying to portray the 70s and onward over there as best as they could, much was unrealistic. Though I loved both XCS and TXM, as someone else mentioned in the comments, these characters don't exist in real life. They are too perfect in their ideology and no one on earth is flawless. They came off as their own versions of Gandhi and Mother Teresa. Trying to portray that in a slice of life type of story, essentially takes away from that slice of life. LSY was just there for too long and got away with too much. The actor did well but to have him constantly let go or wriggle out of the law while other people like QT who did legal work lost everything wasn't fair. It made the law look useless especially in such a high propaganda filled series. Those two just didn't jive. The constant nepotism became nauseating.
I will speak about the propaganda; I knew what I was going to watch but what--as someone who was also born in a socialist/communist country which no longer exists so I actually know what I'm talking about--kept throwing me off and having the scenes take a hit, was not that it was used but WHERE. In all of the military, government related and whatnot scenes, totally understandable. But when the characters are just having fun together shooting the breeze or being romantic with their significant others and the speechifying starts, it is eye roll worthy because literally no one did that ever in any country. When there are family gatherings or two neighbors meet up or something everyday, propaganda speeches do not happen. You'd sooner ask about a child's health or if they went to the movies, so that's where it was way too much.
The fact that there were multiple time jumps and we never knew where we were. It could be anywhere from a few months to a few years. One viewer had to research and write out a timeline in the comments. People shouldn't have to do that when watching a series; a small note on the screen would have sufficed. The SARS epidemic in the final two episodes was also unnecessary. They could've wrapped it all up nicely around the CNY episodes because otherwise it felt like this plot was just chucked in there last minute and was quite rushed.
Would I recommend it? If you are a fan of any of the actors and like a nice flowing storyline until that end. I think all of the actors did a superb job; very pleased with that.

Acting/Cast: I knew all of the actors before I saw this movie, which is part of the reason why I wanted to see it. The acting in this movie is fantastic, every single character was acted out very well, whether they be 'good' characters or 'evil' characters, you can honestly feel the characters that the actors are trying to portray.
Music: There are only instrumental songs throughout the movie, but I think it's placed in the movie quite well that it feels part of the movie. It's nicely done.
Rewatch Value: I would definitely watch this again. There are so many good things about this movie (storyline, acting, etc.) that I'd re-watch it.
Overall: I enjoyed everything about this movie, from the storyline, to the acting, to the music, etc. I'd definitely recommend this movie to other people, even if they usually don't watch historical-type films. It's worth it.

TRIAGE IS A MASTER PIECE
Everything in this Bl series is perfect the acting, the background music 🎶 played at the end of each episode fits the series. The story is perfect and I won't like to spoil it for you but just to let you know episode 4 and 11 are deeply connected by timeline. Remember Triage is not about sex scenes but of true genuine love 💕 and sacrifices . Triage will go down in history like "Not me" an unexpected,underated but excellent 👌 Bl series! Just watch it . Prepare your pillows, your popcorns, your tissues for some highly emotional 😭 scenes( I have cried on three different occasions ) as a fantasy this story will be remembered lovingly like the chronicles of Narnia. Author Sammon has once again presented us with a novel which like Manner of death ( Triage outshines manner of death ) is realistic and relates to our struggle in this world! Triage is a bl series that I will be sitting down to rewatch again and again! Triage is definitely in my top 5 Thai Bl series this year1,Dr Tin: In the beginning I viewed him as a lazy doctor who didn't care about his patients especially after how he causally announced Tol's death and even Yawned when professor Sadka reprimanded him. However I have grown to love him! Yes he rose perfectly to the occasion, his resolve to save Tol at all cost is heart warming. Despite being ignored by Tol, being punched by Tol, being rejected by Tol he stays by his side through out all the loops and finally he wins his trust and heart! That he's determined to save Mia's mummy,Ritt from sucide, Tol from heart attack and to become his boyfriend is cute and noble! When he gets stabbed I cried 😭 out my eyes not because he was going to die ( I knew he wasn't) but because he risked his life to prevent harm to his fellow doctors. His death left me in shock he laid down his life for Tol unconditionally and lovingly and fulfilled his promise to protect Tol!
2, Tol: my first impression of him was a paranoid,rich boy who suspects everyone around him of being a threat to him. His love life with Mia was to me a facade, a forced relationship and a one sided obsession.The way he punched Tin without waiting for him to finish explaining boiled my blood! To me he treated Ritt to shabbily.However as I progressed I find him to actually feel insecure. When Tin delivers his first kiss, Tol is flabbergasted and pretends to be angry though he liked it. His love for a lone cat he found got me.( I'm a cat lover ) Tol is a true friend standing by Ritt despite their quarrel,he saves Ritt from the assassin,saves him from repeating his last year in university and goes ahead to even apologize at the party. For me Tol redeemed himself.
3, Art: a friend in need is a friend indeed. This describes Art completely who like Samwise Gamgee in the Lord of the rings has remained completely faithful to his friends. He risk his eye for Ritt, his life for Tol when he accompanied him in his car to go after Mia and her boyfriend. He exposes the green snakes {Lupakatir and Win} to Ritt. He accepts Tin unconditionally,he tries to mend the broken relationship between Tol and Ritt, he prevents Tol from drinking alcohol and he's totally honest!
4, Ritt: To me Ritt is easily manipulated, his weak, always depressed and a coward. He can't see the handwriting on the wall! He's scared of being killed so he doesn't go to the police (that didn't stop the assassin from trying to kill him) he believes that Tol hates him that he's being oppressed for being poor. Luckily for him Tin has come to save him
5, Lupakatir and Win: who needs enemies when you have such friends. That aptly describes the duo who are jealous of Tol and Ritt and destroys their relationship by sowing lies, hatred and malice between Tol,Art and Ritt. They got what they deserve for cheating in the examination hall.
6, Gap: he's a lovely doctor,who jokes around but is serious with his duties. His friendship with Tin is rock solid as he dances and plays with him. He loves Sing and cares about him. However don't be deceived by his lovely, cute puppy face he's not weak,as he takes on Dio who welds a loaded gun. And he's also brutally honest telling Ritt that he can leave a perfect life with one kidney.
7,Sing: here's a doctor who believes in hardwork, who's strict and looks merciless but he has a soft heart which he hides beneath an exterior of a frowning face. He dislikes professor Sadka and works hard to expose him! His love for Tin was shown when he uses an extreme bloody method to try and revive Tin ( can get that bloody scene out of my head )
8, Mia: She's a good example of a girl who wants it all! She wants Heart's love, Tol's money and her mother being given cosy treatment. She is indirectly responsible for Tol's death and rather than tell Tol her true feelings for him she plays him around her fingers. Tol has however ratified that part thanks 😊 to Mia he meets his true soulmate and love.
9, Professor Sadka and Dio: my first impression of the above mentioned professor didn't last. At first I thought him an upright learned man not knowing he was a beast in human flesh. Him and Dio works together to reap what they have not planted, they're both filled with greed and covetousness. They kill innocent patients as to harvest their organs. Dio is Sadka's lackey who carries out the heinous acts in collaboration with some Nazi nurses and doctors who euthanize their victims and harvest their organs. Dio carries out the dirty jobs while professor Sadka remains and looks innocent in his immaculate white. And as a someone stated in this group Dio owing student loans doesn't excuse his evil!
10, Jinta: Dear me Jinta and Tol makes a comical pair and you will surely laugh when you watch them both in episode 12

Mix of comedy and deep characters
It seems that a lot of people thought The Heart Killers would be a lot more thought provoking and serious than it actually is. For me I expected it to be a little comedic in GMMTV fashion, so I ended up liking it a lot.I think it brings a perfect amount of plot, comedy and character depth together.
If you're expecting a piece of work that will go in depth about crime and mafia in Thailand this is not it.
However, I liked that the story was more focused on character development, especially with these 4. It feels like, for the first time, at the beginning of a BL, we already get 4 characters that have their own personalities ans then they meet their future boyfriends, instead of the entirety of a character revolving around the relationship itself.
Fadel
I'll start off with Fadel, because he absolutely stole the show for me. I followed Joong very casually before the show, but he made me fall in love with Fadel's character by episode 2. Fadel is a very damaged character, that keeps people, even his brother, at a distance, because of his bad past experiences and the fear that he'll hurt them. He has such an intense and even scary presence, furrowed brows, dark eyes, but we see him softening as he falls for Style. He's also repressed, the way he keeps rejecting Style, but then thinks of him when he's not around was addictive. The garage scene when he says his car broke down ???? crazy... The scene where he finds out Style is a snitch absolutely broke me. I loved how he still protected and indulged Style, even while pointing a gun at him. Also, Fadel breaking down and crying while Style comforts him, him saying that he wants to spend more time living to be with Style....
Every scene, featuring Fadel had me hooked.
Style
Style is such a unique character, I love how he has a somewhat "uniform" (crop top, tank top/cropped shirt and baggy pants) and we just see tons of variations of that same outfit, it brings out even more personality. I love the fact that they ended up changing up his hairstyle for the show, from the pilot trailer, because a car mechanic with his hair down makes a lot more sense. Style, on the oustide is such a typical rom-com character, with his snarky faces and funny lines, but he uses that to conceal the fact that he's actually very vulnerable, e. g. when he breaks down because he's scared of death, but before that he's been putting up a front of not being scared at all. Also, the fact that he uses his handsomeness and the fact that people hit on him to boost his confidence, but later on admits Fadel is his first boyfriend was so crazy to me. Concluding, I also like Fadel's rough romantic side, Style.
Onto FadelStyle, as a couple they also surprised me. I watched both of their previous dramas, I enjoyed them, but FadelStyle brought out the feral in me. I know JD's chemistry off-screen is amazing so, I didn't expect any less on-screen from them, but they totally exceeded my expectations. The sexual tension was so intense, the transition between sexual attraction to love was done perfectly. Style being intrigued by Fadel, and forgetting about the car, because he starts wanting Fadel to actually let him in got me. Their kisses were so intense, especially the one on the beach, after they reconcile and personal favorite: Style in Fadel's lap at the therapy group room. The parallel of Style saying that one day he'll be Fadels 100% percent, and then Fadel saying he loves Style a 100% - absolutely finished me. The couple, even though their relationship progressed were quickly and was very intense, felt very well paced, they brought the chemistry, the angst, the kisses and I absolutely ate it up.
All in all, if you're looking for characters with personality, comedic characters, backstories, chemistry, realistic couples THK is absolutely the show for you.

Hard core gore.
This review covers both Season 1 and Season 2 as it does not make sense to review them separately.This is a gripping and fast paced psychological crime thriller that explores the dark side of justice and how the road to perdition is paved with just intentions. In a desperate race against time with few promising leads, Captain Tan's investigative team are under intense pressure to put a stop to a bunch of brutal serial killings. Prison inmate and gifted former profiler and attorney Liang Yandong, is on trial for murder and is convinced that his case is linked to the serial killings. He persuades hungry young rookie cop Ren Fei to share information in the case with him in exchange for his assistance with profiling the serial murderer. The first season solves the first case only to reveal a larger conspiracy that intertwines with a devastating unsolved cold case.
I really enjoyed Vic Zhou's performance as the inscrutable Liang Yandong, especially in the beginning when he teases us with the question of whether his motives are benign. Among the big name cast, his performance pulls the production together as his rapport with each of the main characters seems the most natural. Sandrine Pinna also pleasantly surprised me in her ability to pull off a complex role although some of her scenes in the latter half could have been more nuanced and less forced. Although I like Christopher Lee, his Captain Tan did not really connect with me or with the other members of his investigative team. Part of the problem is that Zhu Tingdian's performance as Ren Fei is hit or miss and his character interacts the most with Captain Tan. His Ren Fei "clicks" with Liang Yandong and Teresa Daley's Ji Siqi but not so much with Captain Tan and the rest of his team. The broader investigative team's dynamics is also not convincing enough to inspire me to root hard for the "good guys" and feel pulled into their mission. To some extent, the cops in this show are dumbed down a little bit too much so that Liang Yandong can look really smart.
The plot overall is fairly tight and it fast paced, full of good twists including a hidden antagonist that reveals themselves a tad on the early side. There are some holes and some suspension of disbelief is needed but it moves so fast and is so action packed you won't have time to dwell too much on on them, which is fantastic. The ultimate villain is known fairly early on and their motives are not that convincing or well explained but there are enough other interesting characters. By pretty much the same team as the highly acclaimed and more memorable Victim's Game, I like this better as a pure suspense thriller for its better focus on a well explored big case that ties everything together and its lack of digression into social issues.
My main problem and reservation with this drama however is that it goes far beyond hard core gore. In general I am fine with dark themes and I don't get triggered that easily but what I found deeply disturbing about this drama is its heavily in your face misogyny. You will be repeatedly treated with gratuitous, extended gore images of women being tortured and mutilated. It is completely unnecessary to the plot or the exploration of the killers' psyches. To give the production the benefit of the doubt, I can tell from The Victim's Game that this team overly delights in showing off their technical prowess at detailed, realistic and almost pornographic gruesome scenes. However I cannot help but be offended and put off by the almost exclusive focus on abusing women and in such loving and repeated detail. So I am really struggling with this review and avoided writing it for quite some time. If they had toned things down (a lot), I would be tempted to give this an 8.0/8.5 but my anger at the extreme misogyny makes me think 6.0/6.5. I am just going to make life easy for myself and call this a 7.0 while acknowledging that is maybe a bit unfair. If you can get past the hard core gore, this is a very enjoyable thriller for fans of the genre.

A slice of police life with the past
I can only write this after watching 10 episodes, because I just feel like this drama is worth watching, not just because my bias, Gong Jun, plays the role.This drama offers a glimpse into the daily lives of police officers with all its problems. The three police officers each have their own dark stories. We're invited to delve deeper into them as we follow them as they solve cases.
In total, out of 30 episodes, there will reportedly be 11 cases explored. So far, the case resolutions are quite brief, about 3 episodes per case. They're not overly lengthy. But if you're into gore or bloody forensics, this won't do; the forensics are more lighthearted here. And that's not the point; the emphasis is more on the investigation, the pursuit of criminals, and the theories.
This drama also offers a slice of life, the hustle and bustle of police life, to the point where they're told to disperse even while eating because of a case. Or those who were trying to get close but were suddenly told to get together, or even those who divorced because they were busy. What's touching is that this division even had time to cook food for the cleaning staff who worked until night or dawn during their hectic case-solving schedules.
It's a police story, but there's a love story, apparently, that doesn't make it in. Wait a minute, the love story is related to the reason the woman chose to become a police officer, so it had to be included. The love story isn't just a romantic kissing scene, either. It's more about an internal conflict due to a misunderstanding in their past. So now they have to face it in their respective professions.
If you're curious, give it a try. There's also the added bonus of Jun2 riding a motorcycle and racing, which is quite eye-opening. Oh well, just watch it. I'd say it's good and very addictive, and I can't wait for the next episode.

TL:DR It's a good DRAMA movie, but it's not a thriller.Just a little note that I watched it raw and I am not a fluent Korean speaker, so I may be wrong on certain occasions.
The things I loved:
- Character portrayal. I loved how this movie took its time to show what the characters thought of each other using actions and glances rather than just words. I believe that it creates a certain tension of the viewer thinking whether the characters mean what they do, or whether it is simple over analyzation. This gives credit to the amazing casts and storyline.
- The suspense. Yes I said that this is not a thriller, and I mean it, but there is some level of suspense (or tension) throughout the movie, and I credit the music for that. It's not your dramatic movie suspense but those everyday suspense that normal people feel because of human relations.
The things I didn't quite like:
- The trailer vs the movie. I came for a thriller movie and so I had certain expectations when I started watching. Therefore I am not going to lie. I was a bit disappointed when I watched it (but that added the element of surprise, which is always nice) Don't get me wrong though. I thoroughly enjoyed and was indulged in this movie.
- The last scene of the movie. No spoilers, I know. But when you finish watching, tell me that if I am wrong when I say that the crew/director kind of miss the point of something and maybe thought we didn't notice something. Idk, might just have been me.
Anyway, Choi Taejoon is in here and I love him, so this movie is borderline BOMB.

The cast is amazing! The two main leads express themselves so beautifully without any use of words. I would recommend it to everyone. One of the finest Korean movies I have watched till date.

Just What you Want it to Be!
Oh heck! I loved this. Some people complain about the pacing being too slow, but that's expressly because one of the main characters has never been in a relationship before and the other main character is coming from a traumatic past. Anything but slow pacing and it would have felt rushed and weird. That being said, the episodes are 25 minutes a piece, so the pace isn't THAT slow. And the evolution of all the relationships is what we come for, yes?The music in this was very, very pretty. The theme song was sweet and the song that played when they are dealing with hard moments was just so bittersweet that it perfectly reflected the mood.
I loved the setting. As an artist myself, seeing a BL set in a designer jewelry studio was so fun. And I also got a kick because when I first saw Aaron on screen, I was pointing and yelling "He looks like an East Asian Superman". And then came the Kryptonian jokes in the plot itself! Ha!
There was a shocking moment for me when I saw Aaron topless I stopped and paused the video because I used to work in the medical profession and I immediately said "That is the best, most realistic scar makeup I have ever witnessed". As the show went on and I got to see the scars from more than one angle, got to see how they pulled, I began to suspect they were real scars. So I looked Aaron up and was amazed to find that prior to the filming of this show he had been in a car accident that nearly killed him. He was in a coma for months. Then rehab. And straight into the filming of this project. In an interview he said that the actor who played Shi Lei was the first person outside of his doctors to ever see his scars and he had been very self conscious about it. So yeah. Wow.
As for the relationship between the main 2 characters, it's awkward and sweet and careful in all the achingly tender ways you might want it to be, without being gooey. Their chemistry is magnetic and immediate. And poor Shi Lei coming out to his mom was the best coming out scene ever. It was so well acted! And really, Aaron did a superb job bringing a quiet, very wounded guardedness to Jin Yu Zhen.
Everyone did a great job. Kudos to the secondary pairings and support cast too. They rounded out the plot and drove it forward at useful moments in a seamless way.
This just took a spot in my top 5 favorites! It does NOT disappoint. Loved the pace. Loved the actors. Loved the story. My only complaint is that there just wasn't enough of it. I would have loved the episodes to have a longer format or for there to have been more of them.

- no depressing misunderstandings, we had a few but they get resolved in the cutest way
- ml being the greenest red flag, this gege with ulterior motive has used every single means to seduce our fl
- beautiful styling (loved all the outfits of fl, so big appreciation to the styling artist who was responsible for deciding and pairing outfits, absolutely loved them)
Tbh, in terms of story, it probably felt like one of those ordinary stories to me, I won't say we had anything new on radar. It was sweet, cute, beautiful, and would be relish to green flag sweet story suckers. So if you are the one who falls in this category of viewers, I would definitely be recommending this!
