Learn to know the difference between hope and obsession !!!
Felt disappointed . I started this drama with a lot of enthusiasm and interest as i admire ju jing yi a lot. The ost is perfect, the acting is perfect and the cuteness present in the story is also perfect, and we can rewatch those cute scenes again and again but the plot is so complicated and the way of taking this drama has been the worst part. A lot of unecessary characters were introduced in the middle just to prolong the drama. What i don't understand is that the plot which they have taken is somewhat confusing and they should be very careful in taking it but i feel that they have just given up in the middle. The first 15 or 18 episodes have been perfect but after those it is just dragging and boring and i feel bad to give a review like this for the drama of ju jing yi but we have to accept the fact and should not be obsessed. The funny thing is the last fight of this drama, i think this is a low budget drama as the last fight is a war between two countries but there are not even 50 soldiers fighting the war and the actual comedy is that, in a war between two countries it is more like some wrestling competition and duels because one from each side are fighting once. I have never seen this kind of war before. Finally i hope the directors can make some good dramas in the future unlike this and i look forward to see the next drama of ju jing yi and wish her all the best for her next dramaWas this review helpful to you?

40 episodes are truly too long.
I recently completed watching this drama, it's not a romcom drama but it has all elements like humor, romance, life lessons, awareness about mental and physical health, cuteness and many more. This only has about 10% of love scene in it. This drama is more like family drama who continue to practice Traditional Chinese Medicine. The chemistry with M.L, it became quite good towards the middle Because they used to fight in the beginning.Acting & Chemistry:-
The acting is solid, with Luo Yizhou and Zhao Lusi leading the cast. The lead actors Luo Yizhou and Zhao Lusi deliver standout performances with remarkable chemistry, making their on-screen romance both compelling and heartfelt. There are two more side couple stories. Their characters represents ‘ Yin and Yang ‘ thru the episodes. Supporting roles are seamlessly integrated into the storyline, adding a layer of realism and energy. These moments also serve as a backdrop for character development, highlighting personal growth and resilience.
Humor:-
Humor is a strong suit of "Gen Z," with the series featuring a number of funny moments that provide much-needed levity. The comedic elements are well-placed and add a light-hearted touch, though they occasionally feel inconsistent with the more serious tones of the drama. For me humor is a plus point of this drama.
Why 7.0 stars?
My overall impression of the drama is quite good. Still, there are some issues which I disliked. There were few frustrating episodes towards the end and some of the stories weren’t necessary to be included in the drama.
Some characters had extremely problematic personality traits that could not be overlooked, no matter how much they tried to redeem them at one point or another.
40 episodes are truly too long. It's dragging in general and forced plot would pop up from time to time.
Serious issues were also glossed over, ignored and not concluded. There was so much “side issues” going on that at one point I really didn't know what the actual story was.
overall If you like medical drama, family drama, funny/serious/romances then don’t miss it!

When it boils down to how much you can sacrifice for your people
Wow, wow personally having not found a cdrama that I have thoroughly enjoyed without skipping some parts this year... This has just been a surprise.I really don't like stories with sad endings but there are usually expectations, and this...this was one of them
Love Ren Jialun in historical dramas, like under the power , one and only and now this!!! Aaah what a topping on the ice-cream 🤗.
The story was really well written, of course the slow burn romance was great but the mind games and twists and turns were well done... Of course there were some wth moments like the master ( one of the Yan sisters, not trying to see the picture even after Wei Zhao asked some really interesting stories.. but oh well, some people could be that stubborn.
The characters... Every one of them did their best! From main to supporting actors like the new young city lord, the personal guards of the two main characters Wei Zhao and shaojun, the eunuchs the maids the mother, the sister etc every one who got a chance at being shown did well love it... For someone to act and give rise to emotions even though it's just but a fictional story and to boot it's the whole cast... It's not easy so kudos... Cui ziming has really grown as an actor and I do believe he can grow more ...
Overall after being disappointed with most cdramas this year, this has actually saved it for me !!! Love it... Watch it guys .

Voicing out an unpopular opinion on a popular drama is always risky but I am going to take that risk and do it anyways: CLOY is nice but it's not a masterpiece. The biggest problem I have with this drama is that there are too many unnecessary elements, scenes and I dare to say even characters. It's not that I don't enjoy a good subplot but in this drama we were presented with so many of them that it felt overwhelming:
- the drama within YSR's family
- the drama between YSR and her stepmother
- the drama between GSJ and YSR's family
- the love story between GSJ and SD
- SD's unrequited love to RJH
- the mysterious murder of RJH's brother
- JMB's involvement in the murder and his guilty conscience
- the lives of the ahjummas in the North Korean village
- the North Korean soldiers entering and discovering the luxuries in South Korea
Many of these could almost be material for a new drama but they decided to squeeze it all in CLOY and I am asking myself WHY? Is the main plot not interesting enough? IT IS (at least I think so). Two people from enemy countries crossing paths and falling in love, dealing with the hardships of a harsh political regime that doesn't allow them to be together, breaking national laws in order to protect each other - that sounds enormous to me! I am not saying that I didn't like the supporting cast and their characters. In fact they were amazing and very likeable (hence my highest rating goes to the acting/cast of this drama) but a little bit more compactness would have made CLOY MUCH more enjoyable. Dragging out each episode to almost 1,5 could have been avoided if they had toned it down with the subplot and focused more on the main couple.
Speaking of: RJH and YSR definitely have chemistry. You can see that both actors enjoy working with each other. Nothing feels awkward or forced, it's all very natural. I liked that. However just like with the plot, the producers have great material but don't know what to do with it. RJH and YSR are supposedly very much in love but it takes a bit more for me than deep stares, endless tears and cheesy lines for me to believe that. We have two people who are in their late twenties or thirties but they barely hug, kiss or do anything that makes me believe that they long for each other. They were sweet, yes but where was the fire? The passion? And no, I am not necessarily talking about sex here. When I say "longing" I don't mean it only in the physical sense but the emotional, too. It's only when they say goodbye for the 10th time that we see them acting as real lovers - and they do that well, no doubt! But most of the time they only have this subtle push and pull thing going on, denying things even after they have confessed to each other already like? To put it in a nutshell, they had good chemistry but it didn't go beyond "Aw they are sweet together!" for me. Imo they could have (should have maybe) scratched the whole super cheesy "fated lovers" thing that happened in Switzerland and focused more on creating more moments between them that make us believe that they are established lovers who are past the flirting stage.
What I really liked About CLOY was the cinematography and the way the differences between the North and the South were being portrayed. While watching the episodes set in North Korea (the best ones imo, after that it went kind of downhill) I actually believed that they were filming there. They did a fantastic job and it felt very realistic although I am aware that it's probably not. I was so fascinated that the sudden easiness of Seri getting to South Korea and RJH not facing any consequences after all he did was something I could swallow. The final … was loaded with clichés and overdramatic scenes but it satisfied most viewers I guess. Me not so much but I want to stop here so this review won't get any longer …
To say it briefly: CLOY has a great main plot and catches your attention very quickly in the first episodes but as soon as the setting changes to South Korea, the writers seem lost and lose their focus, only to slightly gain it back in the last two episodes and topping it all with a fairy-tale like ending everyone expected. It is worth watching for the comedic way the differences between NK and SK are being potrayed and the good acting from everyone included in the cast.

Needs Work
I'm late to the party, though in this case isnt a bad thing.Let me start by saying hazing is a fucking attrocious act and it should not ne treated as anything less.
The homophobia is something ill comment on later.
You can definitely tell this is an earlier BL drama due to how subject matter presented and how topics are poorly handled. Like how this show ia trying to make hazing seem like a trivial thing...i shit you not.
Three or more odd moments stick out were characters are like 'oh i met my wife' or 'it heloe appreciate...', 'and i made friends...'. that is just glossing over an act that is very problematic. Its not an after school event were people ocassionally get abused by others, its a problem and it is poorly handled, i cant helo but think the head writer was very disillusioned.
Now onto the homophobia...i dont know what its like im Thailand so i have to right to throw american homophobia into their culture, but the "i don't like men just Arhit..." ruined that moment when they openly admited they are dating. Yhis isnt the first bl to do this, but as high as it is rated youd think they set a golden standard and they go below what is stated.
It has no rewatch value. Its not even good fluff, the story is more "serious" with the hazing, but the lack of using the material to have a better story was completely wasted

The second lead couple ARE SO CUTE OML their fights and bickering always make me laugh. Ok let’s talk about the ANTAGONISTS YES I SAID THAT QIAO XIN AND MI YA GIRL STAY IN UR LANE OMG YALL AINT SHIT SORRY. If y’all have high blood pressure please don’t watch this drama because I think my veins exploded already;”)
But overall the acting was great, especially Qui Ying’s given the fact that she’s fairly new in the acting industry but tbh the crying scenes were trash. The competition scenes were INTENSE OMG I don’t even game but that shit got me sitting on the edge of my seat. The songs/osts were amazing and overall I would recommend this drama!

Unnecessarily confusing
This is going to piss some people off so if you like the series and have no complaints about it then don't read, if you disagree I don't care, keep it to yourself it's"my" review and "my" opinion, also I'm going to vent a little, with some curses ahead ~~All good? ... Perfect.
Now, what the fuck was that 😂
I binge watched this so it wasn't as confusing to me as - I imagine - to whoever watched it while it was on air, and I have to say I still ended up with too many questions, unnecessary questions about what was real and wasn't, specially for Tonkla-korn relationship.
Direction was all over the place, making everything confusing, story by itself is good, even great and acting was on point even with the questionable characters' morals and behaviours, and sadly that's the only thing I liked about the series, also Den, he was adorable !!! I LOVE HIM!!! MUAH!! He was the best and I loved his interaction with Tyme, cough-even more than with great-cough 😂😂
What I didn't like was somehow all the characters maybe lol I mean they were written in a weird way the only person I felt sorry for was Tyme, Great? Not so much....
I mean Great literally did a hit and run then later they kinda forgot to show his confessing to it IRL and just showed his regret in the 4mins, I know he is sorry and the lady actually committed suicide by jumping in front of him but how would we know now if she actually wanted to die???huh how?? This was all in his 4mins which was led by his feelings and regrets.
so, um, lady, you died, sorry about that I'll just imagine you jumped on purpose and then forget all about it, ok? 👍
Now Tonkla revenge? Logically this part was sci-fi lmao I mean anyone with evidences just shows them to anyone, police is big a joke! I mean who in his right mind share sensitive information in the investigation with Normal citizens? Moreover a relative to the dead person? Bitch, please!
What I hated the most was the way the direction went, specially the part where they intentionally showed the real life for Tonkla-korn-Win DURING Great's 4mins, confusing AF unnecessarily!!
Also the reference that the lady who died was the reason for Greats mum death and magically when he let her die he saved his mum but WHAT IS THE PROOF YOU F*CKERS!!!! You just put random connections just like that? Good lord!! 🤦🤦🤦
Lady, yes you who I killed a few moments ago, hello again, now you would have been the reason to kill my mum so I really am relieved you died!! To save my mum you know🤷 completely logical ~
You see, after everything settles in, and I know it's just a series and fictional and bla bla bla, I just don't like illogical stuff, but ..BUT!! I still think the story was amazing needs some polishing but nonetheless
I know my review doesn't show that, seriously, the story was amazing it could have been much much better, cinematography was Fantastic!! But sadly that doesn't help much when the final product is full of flaws ~

A remarkable film portrays well the hard life of homosexuals of whom they are still relatively few in number. Fortunately, where others choose not to go, writer-director Palatpol Mingpornpichit takes pride in launching himself into the extreme film, showing the emotional ups and downs of homosexual parents by raising a child in an environment that is often far from acceptable by the society. However, it is only the backdrop to a film that deals specifically with the father's reaction to his son's always inquisitive mind about his biological mother and, moreover, as an unexpected visit by Miss Rattiya of the Organization for the Protection of the Rights of the Child.
The film beautifully portrays what genuinely conveys the deep love that both parents hold for each other and for their child, who clearly crave only the best, being sweet, albeit somewhat simplistic, but equally thrilling, while the narrative is not afraid of playing homophobia in a country where same-sex couples still have to fight for the right to marry and where gay parenting is viewed by many as a social stigma. Great movie!

"My sister, my friend, my bride, have all left. As always I'm left alone" I'd say, this was one of the most unique stories I've seen yet, with the most gorgeous cinematography.
One of the best thing about it were the actors, especially the male lead and the second male lead, they were totally mesmerizing (No Homo), one could actually feel their sorrow and grief.
Another thing about this show were it's OSTs, each track perfectly fits with whatever situation was given, and that track that played during the goblin and reaper walk <3.
Fav track from the show: Lasse Lindh - Hush/Stay With Me - Chanyeol & Punch
There's one thing I agree with those who bitch about it... that cringe, the age gap... Ig 19 and 39(By his looks) (938 if you consider his real age) isn't much of a difference in Pakistan xD. At sometimes he looked like her father, especially that moment when he pats her head. If compared with the second couple, I'd definitely choose the latter.
Was Goblin: The Lonely and Great god good?.. yes. Was is it great?... definitely yesss. Should I recommend it?.. yes if you can bear with its slow pace
Personal Ratings: 9/10
Sauce: Goblin: The Lonely and Great god

Iconic...flawed but lovable characters grapple with what is means to live and die and be reborn
This is just the total package: well-developed storyline and character development, iconic cinematography and set/fashion design, flawed but lovable characters who find reconciliation and redemption, funny and touching dialogue, and deep themes of what it means to live and die and be reborn. Chemistry and cuteness of leads is off the chart. And the soundtrack is also A . Buckwheat :)Was this review helpful to you?
Did not like it
All the scenes felt so jumbled up most of the time, I was very confused. It's like trying to put together a missing-piece puzzle lmao. I admit there was good chemistry between the actors in some moments! Their touching interactions brought sparks that made it just a little more bearable during all that chaos. But I think this is just really not my vibe; at one point, I started scrolling through my phone instead of watching. That being said, though, I did very much appreciate the cultural exchange and artistic collaboration behind it. Even though the execution of it all was not done well in my opinion but it's cool to see different styles and perspectives coming together.

NJH is so cute and hot, SSK is so amazing here too.
At first, I hate this drama but then I slowly loved this drama. I can't miss any of the 16 episodes.
I'm a little bit unsatisfied with the ending but still, I loved it.........
I'LL ABSOLUTELY REWATCHED IT AGAIN......
I miss them so much.
I wished to have a season 2 or a movie after what happened to them in the end.
How was there life after that?
How about Habaek? let him use his powers once without limitation in the human world.
Well, thanks to our very talented writer for writing this drama
And also to the directors and actors to fill our imagination not by just reading it or seeing it in unmoving pictures (manga).

B oldly D iving into S omething M emorable
Please bear with me. There are exciting aspects to Hua Yong and Mr Sheng´s story that extend beyond X. However, I am not that convinced by the series overall, despite agreeing that it´s impressive that they actually opened a wild door like this in 2025. I think it´s understandable why this series is hyped so much: It´s bold, it´s fresh -- It´s a lot of things that lovely viewers out there have yearned for. I mean, Omegaverse live action? In my younger years, I would not have thought this could ever be filmed. Yet here we are. What a journey ....So what bothered me?
Where should I start? There are too many confusing, unspoken facts, almost as if some parts were purposely left unfinished. Completely leaving aside how toxic the whole omegaversa is in general ...... Additionally, I think the way they handled the music scores was sort of boring and predictable. Very repetitive. Besides Huang Xing´s (Hua Yong) performance for most parts, the acting was not convincing to me, even a bit frustrating at times. I admit there are some actors new to the industry, and everyone should have the chance to cultivate their skills -- and yet, I have to consider this when reviewing. Overall, the editing and acting were a bit too messy and anticlimactic.
Nonetheless, I was intrigued by the non-conventional take and idea of the story and what they did with it as the first "players in this genre" (Even though there were more coherent elements they could´ve added, especially to the plot of the side couple). I´m hoping to see similarly bold concepts and scripts like ABO Desire in the future.
