Finished episode 1 and yeah⦠this is definitely not for me šI went in with an open mind because I thought maybe Iād finally click with Yim and Tutor here, but it just reminded me why their previous projects never really worked for me either.A lot of the dialogue felt super unnatural and awkward, and at times honestly just ridiculous. I kept thinking: āwho talks like this???ā š The cheating scene at the beginning especially completely threw me off.Thatās really the core issue for me ā nothing just fits. Dialogue, acting, and character writing donāt line up, so it feels more like a sketch than a proper scene. And honestly, the acting from both of them just doesnāt feel strong either ā everything comes across quite stiff and forced. The script itself also just isnāt very strong overall, which makes everything even less convincing. In BLs, chemistry can save a lot for me ā weaker scripts, messy pacing, even average acting ā but here I just donāt feel any real tension or connection between them. And those intimate scenes near the end⦠yeah š The fruit/peach licking, bottle stuff, tongue scenes ā yeah no. Maybe itās just me, but scenes like that only work when the actors can really sell the tension naturally. Here it just felt so staged and awkward that I physically cringed watching it.Instead of feeling sensual, it felt uncomfortable and kind of weird to sit through. Especially the peach scene at the end⦠Iām sorry but I just could not take it seriously at all.So yeah. I really did try to give it a chance, but episode 1 completely confirmed that this series just isnāt for me.

So the dead exes look alike sister makes a showing, and sheās never met the person her dead twin was dating AND did not bother to attend the funeral. Of her twin. Can that whole plot point get creamed by the white truck of death, please? AND she not only comes back to hit on her dead twinās ex boyfriend, but also confronts his new girlfriend. What kind of trash does that? This is makjang AF. I know thatās a Korean term but, still.

I'm really interested in finding out more about Wine's experience before Lal joined. It seemed to have really traumatized her to such an extent that she became very closed off.

My Girlfriend Is an Alien Episode 21

Just when you though it was safe for our two leads to FINALLY actually start an actual romantic relationship, after having endured 20 episodes of constant attraction/pursuit/misunderstandings/avoidance/reconcilliation cycles again and again ...we just go on repeat. This time the writers reach into the lazy writer's toolkit and throw a stupid, completely unnecessary 'love triangle' at us by having the stupid man-child Fang Lie decide he simply HAS to pursue Xiaoqi despite her giving him EVERY POSSIBLE CLEAR MESSAGE that she is not interested in him romantically.. His motivations for pursuing her stem completely from his own personal issues of insecurity and sibling rivalry and have nothing to do with the girl he is pursuing - a real great recipe for romance, right? This is on top of the FL being (actually, understandably) afraid that she'll get hurt by Fang Leng again. She merely wants a little space and time to consider her relationship with Leng. But the idiot Lie is diving into that gap and forcing the issue which of course results in some really contrived stupid rivalry scenes. The Fang Lie character is really exasperating at this point. He is such a stupid, emotionally infantile character that he makes zero sense as a romantic match for anyone, let alone the FL, and so it all feels like a waste of time.

The ritual scene in EP3 honestly showed another level of Naniās acting. His expressions and the tension he delivered made the entire scene feel so intense and immersive. You could truly feel every emotion through the screen. Such an impressive performance from Nani.

The chemistry between Sky and Nani in EP2 was honestly one of the best parts of the episode. Every interaction and moment between them felt so natural. Their acting and chemistry really make the story even more immersive.

WU The Series EP1 perfectly balanced action, suspense, fantasy, and emotional moments. The pacing never felt boring, and every scene kept me interested. The ending especially made me want EP2 immediately.
