A great irony that father and son are in hospital being resuscitated for alcohol poisoning. Lin is with the father and editor with He Han. The dad told He Han he didn’t want to see him but left a final message with Lin. He Han’s mother is alive. This was unexpected news for everybody. He Han will always regret not seeing him before he passed, but I think his dad wanted it that way. Surprisingly, assistant and GuYan had a civil conversation and he is reading what HeHan wrote for his chapter. He wants to learn from him but is it for writing or because his deluded mind thinks that will be key to get Lin? Only crazy author knows for sure. Assistant’s dad showed up at Lin’s and was a calm voice in the storm. I did not expect that. His daughter has moved out and I am happy, but only briefly, by episode end she is invited back. He Han is depressed and his editor gave him a week off. Assistant was stopped at his door by his editor and I was glad. She needs to have boundaries where boss and idol are concerned. Zhao and Ling are discussing GuYan and how he will react to the chapter. Here Ling recognizes what Zhao does as safety net maker for everyone and noticed that she makes no safety net for herself. When he asked her she simply said she will get it all or be broken in pieces. She is forcing his hand to a wedding banquet for the holiday. I would feel sorrier for him but if she waited ten years he would still be this reluctant. Lin is planning to press GuYan hype during He Han’s absence. Fan is stepping it up by having a live show discussing the Phantom Knight. This one is the legend of web authors and no one knows who it is. I would crack up if it turns out Fan is the long lost author.😂🤣 It is not likely but it is fun speculating. He Han is still looking and acting clinically depressed but he sends his editor out on an unexpected mission—to find his mother.

i kind’ve figured he’d be some part demon. him being adopted with an affinity & apprehension to the resentful woman. & i like it here. we’f have just gone in circles if he just speculates miao miao’s motive & i think her learning about him after he technically learns about her feels right. he was just put into a very specific position of authority over her but she has now seen him at his lowedt. i am really intrerested to see how they go from here. it could be worse it could be better. but i trust the writers to do something competent & not waste our times.

Everybody was happy with He Han’s chapter except his editor. She is asking him how he will help bail Lin out next time? Whose name is he going to use? Fan is holding up the contract. He is so close to see the pair he really wants to do business with. But right before update, GuYan submits his own work. After a lot of deliberation, Lin chooses his chapter over He Han’s. Once he hears the news he is put out and sulking. He invested a lot of time, but I see it as karma for the way he demoralized the younger author. He just got to remember what that feels like. As for the assistant, if they booted her out entirely I would not miss her. She is shrieking, moaning, whining, or asking stupid questions to her roomies. I want her fired and out of Lin’s house. He Han feels sorry for her, but he helped create her with his indulgent behavior. He keeps her just close enough to bask in her idol’s presence and he gets some serious hero worship. She had no right to inform GuYan about who wrote the chapter, and even less her comparison opinion. She can get off her damn pedestal and find a new job. GuYan is just as annoying. His test over who appreciates him more caused a lot of people serious grief. He still puts his relationship with Lin at a personal rather than employer level. He Han needed taken down a peg but would Lin have kept GuYan thinking she wrote the chapter? GuYan is creepy because he wants a redo of HeHan’s early career. That’s just bizarre. In spite of his preferences, Ms Zhao has been the only one honest and up front with him. She really is his best option. Then we go to Zhou Mei and Bei where she basically wants to know if he has more companies. She still wants to hang on to him while it is clear he wants to manipulate her under the guise of being the great benefactor. If she loves him, is it simply because he is unavailable? He covets her, but like a trophy. He wants her on his shelf at his pleasure and no one else can admire her. She should just give up men entirely until she figures herself out and cuts ties with her mom. Her young lawyer loves her warts and all but I have no idea if she can accept a love that is pure and for her alone without being a stolen moment from someone else. I hope he succeeds in breaking her tie to Bei and I hope he finds love whether or not with Zhou Mei. GuYan is in full tantrum mode in Lin’s office. She finally tells him to shut the hell up and get writing. Her recollection of awards night is selective because she was too busy trying to save her ass with Fan’s contract. Where she fails GuYan is not being open and honest with him. She skirts the He Han issue without really addressing it and being sure he understands. He needs it in juvenile language where it is not subject to interpretation. He Han is now his father with the booze. He sticks up for assistant but Lin has the right of it. She was an employee for a different editor and company. Because she lives with Lin she was privy to too much and went far beyond the scope of her job to try to fix things. She is young and allowed to be immature to a degree, but as a top editor assistant, she wasn’t following company guidelines but her own. She needs to get far away from Lin and HeHan and work for a completely different company where she does the job and not insert her opinions or extra missions to assist in matters she is not responsible for. He Han and Lin finally have it out and while my adrenaline is up because of the yelling match, I am beyond caring about any of them. It is one big playground fighting match with all of them. The only grown ups of the group are the assistant lawyer and Zhao. These two have objective eyes and see the lay of the land for what it is and fight for it unapologetically. Lin is in her office depressed over HeHan. She should be hovering her prodigy and focusing on her company. He Han is a man child but no longer her responsibility. As much as he loves her he can’t stand her meticulous ways. He is trying to down a fifth and will most likely pass out or poison himself before he accomplishes it. There are still way too many episodes to go to be this fed up with these characters. For now, the assistant lawyer is the one that has my attention.

This episode showed us that there is so much more going on with the King. I'm not sure if I read it right, but it looked like he intentionally plays much dumber and easy to manipulate to hide his true night activities. 🤔The Queen flirting with all the ladies on her radar was quite fun to watch... and very, very unusual for that time, I believe. No wonder many women there felt alerted! 😂I am quite sure that the guy in the restroom definitely recognized the Queen! I wonder if he's friend or foe, but he looked quite shocked to see her there! And OMG, her walking into that secret meeting with the King and those other two guys... 😯😂😬The show is picking up nicely, giving us just enough bits to maintain interest, and I must say, I am enjoying it a lot so far! 😉👍

This episode was so hilarious that it made me laugh to tears! The queen-to-be's actions and her desperate attempts to get back to modern times were such entertainment to watch. 😂At the moment, there’s not much to theorize about yet, but I do wonder if the man inside the queen's body will eventually accept being a woman and everything that comes with it—including intimacy with her husband. 🤨😏Also, I believe when her period comes, it’s going to be quite funny! In body-swap plots, men usually have a lot of trouble dealing with that. 😄

The starting point helped to understand the characters better, and went straight into storytelling without slow tracking it making me want to know more about the plot

It was an incredible episode, one of my favorites, and the acting captured my heart forever. I cried so much, it was amazing and deserves respect, they deserve an Oscar. So clearly and correctly convey all the emotions, your fatigue, fear, confusion, fear for the future, panic attack, but at the same time stay strong no matter what, how much I love them. 🥹🥰🔥

This episode has JinZhao meeting her paternal gma. She made a favorable impression tho the granddaughter quickly teamed up with step sis to talk down to her. JinZhao is forced to take the eldest daughter position to rebut and admonish the gossiping girls about Liu family. There is one missing from the party and it turns out to be YeXian’s sister. She is late because he has invited himself to go along. JinZhao is far from happy with this development. The family goes to see an opera and YeXian manages to get himself seated by JinZhao. She finally has enough of his chatting and leaves to change. He finds her handkerchief and there is an argument over it. She claims it isn’t hers. There is a very cute exchange with a kitten and YeXian’s better side is revealed. At the embroidery session, JinZhao deliberately does a bad job because she doesn’t want to reveal the handkerchief is hers. She is mocked by the two girls and YeXian gives the handkerchief to step sis who shows it to everybody there. This backfires a bit when the older sis recognizes the handkerchief JinZhao and her brother fighting about. She later goes to her brother and tells him neither Gu girl is acceptable as bride material and tells his servant to pack his things. She is sending him home. The one good development is YeXian and JinZhao both learned about the invitation step sis swiped. JinZhao confronts her and agrees to let this slide, but to bear in mind she wasn’t the sort to return evil with kindness. 😝The new girl mocks JinZhao’s mom for being a merchant. JinZhao got the upper hand by telling her her hairpin was a fake. She even told her the test she could do on it to find out.😂🤣 While JinZhao is choosing gifts to send to Chen, her brother shows up and hints of blackmail about her bridge meeting with XuanQing. She counters with the 200 taels he wanted. There is a pawn slip but she doesn’t believe his story. She does learn he works for the gambling hall as a frontman. He entices young men to try their luck. Chen has received the gifts and his servant opens the boxes. The first is a set of binoculars which he liked. The second was a pair of glasses which he was not enthused with. Did JinZhao send them because he would look good with them on or because she considered him old and needing them? Guess we will find out next episode. 😂🤣 I completely missed the nod to his character in The Shadow’s Edge with the glasses. 😂😂 Had to come back and correct this. The changes they made to the sibling characters make this less fun to watch. I keep grumbling during their scenes. What happened to the brother that stood up for her and the sis that helped her sneak out of the house? I still like JinZhao’s character and want to see how things progress with Lord Chen, but I am a lot less enthused with the family machinations. They are tiring. 😝🙄 The palace politics are better than the Gu family interactions. If the nanny kills the mother, they better kill her off too.😡

Ye Xian challenged Chen about his job but Chen made it clear that a desperate man was not fit to be near the crown prince. Later his aide revealed Chen was keeping Ye Xian away from the clash of military and nobles. Ye Xian left some gifts for the crown prince and was rewarded with a token that would allow him access to the eastern part of the palace. XuanQing did not want to accept the marriage arrangement Lord Chen and mother arranged for him with Yu Wan Xue. He was brought to a memorial site where his father’s name was remembered. He was a criminal that had caused the deaths of many and his mother committed suicide shortly after. Chen adopted him and made him 5th son. He encouraged him to accept the marriage because he and WanXue’s father were the only two that knew of his father’s crime. If he became an official in the future, his family secret could be kept if his father in law was the only one that knew. JinZhao is so hopeful on the bridge with her kite. She is declaring her affection for XuanQing openly. He wants to accept, but lacks the courage to handle any investigation into his family. So he sends his aide with her notes and refuses her confession. She is very sad but knows she put herself out there and refuses to have regrets. The step sis has been made into the typical mean girl now trying to include the brother with her meanspirited intentions. Surprisingly he stands up for JinZhao, but he also understands that trashing JinZhao’s reputation doesn’t help their status so he gets the step sis to agree to keep her mouth shut about XuanQing. The mother’s cough has returned thanks to nanny😡 She is on my last nerve. I am not a fan of rhubarb, but I am not understanding how that works as a poison with her medicine. The mom shouldn’t be trusting them and have a third party physician. She has sent JinZhso out to enjoy the fireworks and is now coughing blood. This plot was to get the concubine back in charge of the house. That whole meal was almost a complete disaster, but the mother did remember to mention gma and the meatballs to give JinZhaoa small keepsake memory of her family home in Tongzhou. Chen worked to get the iron fireworks at the celebration with JinZhao in mind. JinZhao climbs for a good view of the fireworks and slips. Again Chen rescues her, and tho wearing a mask she now recalls he is the one that saved her in TongZhou. Her maid points out that he has saved her three times and she wonders how she can repay such a debt. YeXian recognizes Chen and knows he is not going to get the girl. XuanQing has a melancholy look as well. Chen’s painting is very like JinZhao and he is startled and pleased as he recognizes he is starting to have feelings for her. He sends his servant to invite her over. He started to add something to the invitation and changed mind so now I am not sure if that meant he also changed mind about invitation. The concubine and nanny were looking pleased. The nanny doesn’t refrain from physical harm to get her way. I really want to see her kicked out and jailed.😡 I am still enjoying JinZhao’s character, but I am absolutely hating that they have completely flipped the step sis’ actions at beginning of story and have made her the typical mean girl. They were so much better as a united pair. The three siblings should be getting along nicely and enjoying the fireworks together but they are all split up instead. This was missed opportunity to have more unique family ties.

05.MAY.2026VITAMINYOONGI3_Fate. Earth. Humanity.I was locked in from this moment😅Pete is definitely a character that still needs some unraveling. He seems quite guarded but at the same time, so full of life in a way...I am still amazed at how Nani portrays these sorts of characters so well. It's a full 180 from his real life personality😭He really depicts how someone guarded would act and even his mannerisms, words, and body language scream that ‘that’s not the Nani you know and love, that’s Phi Pete.’Amazing portrayal from Nani so far. I’m very impressed💕WHY ARE WE DEALT BAD CARDS IN LIFE?Niran, if you could answer that question, I’d be amazed.Or should I say, Master Niran😆Sky has given a great performance as Niran, if my intuition is right, this might be his best role yet😅He’s never played the same character twice and I can see all the work from doing so many workshops being paid off. Well done Sky!-I was curious so I looked the following up.Feng shui => is a Chinese practice of arranging objects, furniture etc to build good kiThings like decluttering and incorporating the five elements balances things out5 E => Water, Fire, Earth, Wood, MetalYao is a spiritual force that defies heaven and earth, quite interesting. I’m already intrigued👀😳Niran is so funny. He’s very serious about his craft but his dynamic with Pete shows us that these two will bicker more often than not.Still upset about it being eight episodes long, wish it was longer so that we get to see more of these amazing characters. Now my supporting characters ARE EATING.SEA. OMFGSea, you are one fine man and an even better actor. You blew my socks away🤯The granny in this episode also surprised me a lot. She said so much with her eyes alone. Kudos to the WU cast, y’all are doing amazing!!“And don’t worry about a thing.”“As long as you’re with me,”“I’ll look after you.”VERY CUTE NIRAN. I don’t want to say more about these lines in case I’m wrong, but the 'destiny/fate' element of the story is really intriguing and as a fan of both Sky and Nani, I can’t wait to see more of their on screen chemistry with each other as well as the rest of the cast.Okay EP 2, next week!

Ha Ran finally knows the whole truth but Chan is nowhere to be found after she cast him aside. This whole episode was her looking for him. What a waste of an episode. They literally waited 12 episodes to let Ha Yeong and Tae Seok get together. So everyone get's a happy ending. That's fine. I don't mind that but I wish these melodrama's could be written better and less treacle at the end.
