MatchaGrnTLatte okay glad they're kinda happy for now with Sang Qi's dad back. Zhuo still ruining shit, i kinda have a theory as well for the whole Deputy missing thing going on rn before I continue. So Deputy was acting very odd before he left Sang Qi, no doubt because he was lying to her and was gonna go that night to see Zhuo, and I know he didn't fall off the cliff on purpose, but what if during this he decided it'd be beneficial somehow if people thought he was dead/missing? Honestky idk I'm high asf rn and locked in. Let's see what happens. LMAOAOAO ok ofc Deputy was gonna get framed (idk how that officer dude is still alive) but I'm dying at how Deputy grabbed his ponytail in the fake flash back. So cute. OFMBFGE OKAY I have to laugh at the fact that Sang Qi's first conjecture is literally just, "Deputy didn't talk like that, he was more shy," is HILARIOUS. And of course Zhuo has to be here. They should've checked that "official's" neck for a Xizhao tattoo. It's okay though because Official Yan is gonna wake up, Yan Yun Zhi is gonna come back AND Zhuo is gonna be implicated too for tryna falsely accuse Deputy. Awe deputy... i knew it was a dream. Also why THE FUCK IS ZHUO HERE?!! I know Lian Pian would not call this mf, he probably poisoned her and started following her to see when she'd collapse. AGHH so much is happening!!! I was freaking right Zhuo is a PSYCHOPATH!!! He put the poison in her pouch!! It's, "If I can't have her noone can," hour. Summoning the worst for Zhuo đź’–

This episode hits all the silly contrived hijinks you expect to kick off a romantic comedy. The clingy Gou Gou is a bit much ("Clingy Self-Proclaimed Love Interest" trope), but all the other tropes are handled smoothly without pretending they aren't what they are. In fact, at one point in the episode they almost break the fourth wall with some foreshadowing that is clearly intended to make fun of the plot for including a variation of the "Secret One-night-Stand' trope (in this case, via the sperm donation). So it's refreshing that the writers so far are cognizant of the tropes, not afraid to use them, but not leaning into them to the point of annoyance.

I just finished watching episode 17. And it was so cool to connect the dots with the previous drama (A Moment But Forever). This drama really shows the connections, it's not like other dramas that seem fake when they say (it's part of the same universe).PS: When they talk about the flying boat, the goddess Wushuang, the war between gods and demons.But I wonder if Meshan sword is a younger Mesha Jun (because they live for hundreds of years), or if it's another character.

So far, this series has been incredibly promising. But this particular episode pissed me off, majorly. Without giving away the whole plot, it has made me despise the ML and his companions by showing their willingness to use unjustifiable means.

cjspock The kidnapping case was brought to a close in 2015, with He Xiao He bringing out the truth. In 2002, a pipe burst led Ran to discover that all may not be as they seem in the June 30th case, and it opens up more questions. Back in 2015, He Yuan Hang gets texts from Ran's phone, where he discovers that Ran uncovered something big. The timelines are now in parallel with a reinvestigation into the June 30th case. It seems like we take two steps forward, and now we are back to square one. It feels like momentum is building with more truths to be discovered soon.

nafisa We start off with teacher Kim coming in from the casino with the burn victims and we find out teacher Kim saved the kitchen staff burn victims from the casino THE SAME ONES THAT WERE ABOUT TO CUT OFF DONGJU’S HAND OFF IN EP 2,and the chairman of casino saw how teacher Kim would regularly go to the casino and help others, yet as a fee teacher Kim would take some of their money BUT LMAO THAT’S VALID HE SAVED YOU SO MIGHT AS WELL, and afterwards the chairman gave teacher Kim the offer if he could operate on the chairman since he felt that he could trust teacher Kim since he was a “real” and sincere doctor after all the times he helped save the people, and teacher Kim agreed if the chairman bought the hospital new equipment and 1 billion dollars USD. Afterwards, geosan hospital’s director, the one that USED DONGJU AS A SCAPEGOAT AND UNFAIRLY KICKED HIM OUT, found out and AND TEACHER KIM USED TO WORK AT GEOSAN HOSPITAL UNTIL HE QUIT??? AND HE WAS THE ONE THAT INSPIRED DONGJU TO BECOME A DOCTOR, AND AFTERWARDS TEACHER KIM WAS CRASHING OUT ON DONGJU AFTER DONGJU TRIED TO COVERUP FOR SEOJUNG HELPING HIM TREAT A BURN VICTIM EVEN THOUGH SHE SHOULDN’T EVEN BE WORKING. BUT TEACHER KIM RETALIATED THAT DONGJU WAS SCARED HE’D HUMILIATE HIMSELF IF HE FAILED TO TREAT THE PATIENT WHICH IS WHY HE ASKED FOR SEOJUNG’S HELP AND HE SHOULDN’T MAKE HIMSELF SEEM HEROIC FOR DOING SO. BUT THEN DONGJU SAID BACK THAT HE SHOULDN’T ACT ALL KNOWING SINCE HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT DONGJU WENT THROUGH TO GET TO WHERE HE WAS TODAY, AND SO DONGJU HANDS IN HIS RESIGNATION LETTER, BUT THEN MYEONGSIM TRICKS HIM INTO TREATING ONE MORE PATIENT AND STAYING FOR LONGER. And afterwards whilst dongju was shadowing teacher Kim who was treating a patient with a dislocation, he asks him if teacher Kim was a good or the best doctor, which teacher Kim replies with that instead of being the good or best, be a doctor that someone needs, “If you don’t change yourself, then nothing will change.” AND THE SAME THING WAS SAID TO HIM BY THE DOCTOR WHO INSPIRED HIM AFTER HIS FATHER’S DEATH. AND DONGJU CONFRONTS TEACHER KIM AND HE DENIES IT, BUT IT WAS OBVIOUS IT WAS HIMMMM.
