New journeys

Rui gets info that helps provide evidence against Wei. He is still Mr Teflon so his wife was brought in. She saw the baby pictures and heard his family speech to ZhenZhen. When she tricked him about bug and getting paid he used a similar argument with her about going to Australia and being one big happy family. 😝 This man has no shame. Auntie was finally convinced when she saw and heard his actions with her own eyes and ears. But I have to give her blame for indulging him and covering for him. She is far from guiltless about what happened to Purong. Her laissez faire approach with his handling of Purong has no excuse. It is a wonder Ji and MiYu could rescue it. There was entirely too much time giving ZhenZhen’s backstory to gain sympathy for her bad choices. This wasn’t wanted or needed for story. We see the last two get hauled off in handcuffs but they didn’t say what happened to the baby which is the only part of ZhenZhen’s story I was curious about. MiYu gets in at EHL and is heading off to Switzerland to study abroad. Mr Tan is heading back to HongKong. Diva Duan will be vacationing in the Maldives and Rui is heading for places unknown. It is not specifically clear that chef is staying but I am pretty sure she and Ji will be the ones left in the new and improved Purong. Ji is waiting a year and half and if she doesn’t come back, he will fly to her. So why didn’t we get an epilogue with that instead of a young ZhenZhen deserted by her mother and standing in the rain? Even Nie more healthy and starting new would have had more relevance than her history. It was nice seeing MiYu’s mom running the kitchen and bossing the family around. MiYu did a good thing there. I really wasn’t needing the romance in the first place. But if we had to deal with the push and pull of that, why have EVERYBODY amicably go their own way with the if the fates allow speeches given at the end. We could have had more hotel adventures a visit to Switzerland included or less episodes of romance that may never be. I love her character and that she wants to see how far she can go, but as I sit here thinking about the episode I just watched I have to ask Why? They all agreed their story stopped there but it was open ended for everybody, which I would have been perfectly happy with had they not pushed romance and then left it for fate if their paths ever crossed again. Would I recommend? With a warning label😂 In spite of how they ended things I still love her character and cheer for her to go far and fly high.

The bond grows

My favorite part of this episode was definitely Wen Kexing's reaction to Zhou Zishu's tactics! Earlier on, Zhou was obviously being extra friendly to Cao Weining—using many of the same lines Wen had used on him—just to make him jealous! The look Zhou gave made it clear that it was super-intentional. 🤭😏Later, when Zhou tells him he's treating him as a friend, Wen quietly says to himself, "You're my soulmate", while watching him walk away. I love their dynamic and how the show is building the relationship between the two male leads. ❤️On top of all that, Zhou finally showed parts of his true identity to Wen during that encounter with the Window of Heaven guy. I really hope we see Wen’s identity revealed very soon. I am practically 100% sure he’s the Ghost Valley Master! 🤨👆

Afterwards, they were about to leave the museum but it started raining, so Hioki said that the four of the, could go and he could go later, since Hioki didn’t want to overstep, so the four of them left with the two umbrellas they were sharing, but as Hioki was waiting for the rain to end, HIS CONTACTS FALL OUT, so as he was struggling to see, WARATAI COMES BACK RUNNING TO HIOKI SINCE HE WAS WORRIED FOR HIM AND WARATAI HELPS HIOKI BACK TO THE HOTEL, HOLDING HANDS MIND YOU, PROBABLY SO HIOKI “DOESNT HURT HIMSELF”, SO AS HIOKI GET HIS GLASSES FROM SUITCASE THAT WAS LEFT AT HIS HOTEL ROOM THAT HE WAS SHARING WITH THE FOUR GUYS, HE TRIPS FROM THE CORNER OF THE TABLE THAT WAS PLACED IN THE ROOM AND LANDS ON WARATAI. Drama at its finest!

I couldn't really understand which sect was behind that whole "Hunger Games" situation at the beginning with the wedding! I saw people who had deals with the Scorpion Sect and others with Ghost Valley... so what the heck was happening there? 🤔As for our main guys, it seems like whatever Wen Kexing’s plan is, it's starting to come into motion. He is still flirting with Zhou Zishu, and he gets so jealous and protective whenever anyone else tries to touch his "precious friend". 🤔😏🤭Also, Gu Xiang met the young hero, Cao Weining, and it really seems like the guy might be romantically interested in our girl. We'll see! 🤭Overall a nice episode, though it didn't feel like the plot moved forward much, and I was still quite confused by a few parts. Let’s see if the next episode brings some more clarity... 🤔

The masks removed and the ones still on

This episode was so good! Zhou Zishu’s mask finally came off when he fell into the water, only for Wen Kexing to pine over him even more. The mystery around the Glazed Armor is definitely growing, and Wen Kexing is clearly a major player in this game. 🤭🤨I still suspect him to be the Leader of Ghost Valley, but this episode made me wonder—could there be multiple sects within the Valley, with Master Wen leading only one of them? And then there is the Scorpion King. He also looks like someone leading an outcast sect; could he be from the Valley too? I’m still not quite sure how the whole system of sects, clans, and valleys works, but I hope I'll get there eventually. 😔Now we know the Window of Heaven is involved and heading to the Heroes Summit. If Zhou is there with his real face showing, won’t they recognise him? Either way, I love seeing the bond between the two leads growing. Zhou is finally smiling, joking, and even being playful at times! And I have to wonder... what exactly are Master Wen's plans with those fake Glazed Armor pieces? 🤔

Eui Ju is freakin hilarious & i know others might not like her brother, but i do - he's annoyingly adorable & yeah he is blackmailing her - but she could've found another way to give Ga U Su his glasses back & yet she chose to turn to her brother, that was already making her life miserable.... who's at fault? also the garbage collector is one hell of a dude, not only did he stop but he was helping her? not many would -

Is Ghost Valley getting framed?

I am a little confused now!I still believe that Wen Kexing is the Leader of Ghost Valley, but from the look on his face, it really seemed like they weren't the guilty ones this time. I might be mistaken, but could it be that someone is trying to frame Ghost Valley for their own gain? Also, childlike Wen Kexing was quite cute! But it makes me wonder... how did he already know Zhou Zishu’s real name? 🤔

Are we getting clues on Wen Kexing's true identity?

I am quite sure now that Wen Kexing is the same guy we saw in episode 1 wearing the red robe. The walnuts and the way he squeezed that beggar's throat—it all lines up. He probably needs that "variable" he mentioned earlier for the Glazed Armor he’s looking for. Of course, I could always be wrong, but at the moment I am more than 100% sure this is it. 👆As for the rest—that Backfire Music Skill (or whatever the name was) means that Zhou Zishu is way stronger than many in the world even with the seven nails in his body. I wonder what will happen when they learn each other's secrets. And my question remains: can the seven nail punishment be reversed? Can they be taken out? 🤔

More questions and some flirting

It looks like there are multiple sects after the boy in Zhou's care. I wonder why he's so special? Is it just because he's the son of the Mirror Lake sect's leader, or is there something more to him? 🤔Wen Kexing is proving to be quite the stalker and a major flirt. I honestly wonder if Zhou secretly likes the attention or not. It would definitely make me feel uneasy to be followed and stared at that way! 🤭During the night, Zhou had those black veins running again, so I’m convinced now that it's tied to the specific time of day. I'm waiting to see an explanation of how this works, if there will be any, of course. 🤨

More questions

I am still very confused about what's happening, but at least I’ve gathered that the nails are "eating" Zhou Zishu's body at midnight. It seems the wine, mixed with about 15 minutes of meditation, helps him manage the pain... maybe? I am not entirely sure yet. 🤔However, Wen Kexing's interest in Zhou Zishu is still a mystery to me. What does he mean when he calls him a "variable"? Is he planning to use Zhou Zishu for something specific? It definitely looks like a solitary, drunken life isn't going to work for Zhou Zishu, as he keeps getting followed by Wen Kexing—who always has that intense stare and flirty smile on him! 🤔😏

Blind curiosity

Starting this show was a bit of a whim because I've heard so many stories about how good it is. I’m going in completely blind, with no idea what to expect, other than it being a story about a deep bond between two men in the martial arts world. 🙂The concept of the "Seven Nails" seems like an interesting plot driver. So far, I have no real clue what’s happening—except that the main guy wants to die and has chosen a slow, painful way to do it. I don't quite understand his reasons for this particular choice yet, though I suspect it might be related to the death of his younger brother. 🤔😔I also discovered that this was apparently Zhou Ye's first role! I’ve only seen her as Yanhui in Back From the Brink, and comparing the two, this character seems somewhat similar—lots of energy and personality. 😏After just one episode I still know very little, but it is definitely interesting enough to keep me watching! 😏

Brutal ending for this episode.

The ending of this episode was a bit shocking and it certainly can be criticized as the writer using a pretty blatant plot trope. Some commenters on Viki didn't understand why it hits Yao Zhiming so hard. I think the reason it just floors him is that he had just bounced back from one moment being typically mad at his dad to suddenly seeing a glimmer of light: That maybe, maybe he could have a normal healthy relationship with his Dad, like he had never dared dream possible. And then just like that, the chance was gone.

I jsut wanna say that this hits hard!!

if i could have given a rating higher than 9.5 i would have given it....everything is just perfect....every one of the characters seem to come alive even better due to the precise acting and execution of each and every actors...Of course the storyline needs no intro...Though we all know that we cannot dream of living a kdrama life...but we can't stop dreaming about it and this story truely brings out this dream...Hats off to everyone who worked hard to create this masterpiece ....Hoping to see more of these shows in the future

I LOVE KDRAMAS MADE IN 2010s

ITS ABOUT a woman named bong soon who’s super strength passed over generations, however if used unjustly you would experience the consequences, like her mother losing her powers due to using the power and fame she gained as a weightlifter to mistreat others, however if she uses it right, like when she saved her and her brother, bonggi, now a medical student, from a kidnapper. And so bongsoon is an unemployed woman going on her day, when she witnessing a bus driver being beaten up form some thugs and bongsoon saved the driver from the thugs by beating them up, and all this was witness by min hyeok, the ceo of ainsoft, the company that produced bongsoon’s favourite game, who was getting blackmailed by someone, and he needed a bodyguard which gave him the idea to hire bongsoon. So at the police station bongsoon was getting questioned by gukdu, bongsoon’s crush and old classmate from school EVEN THOUGH THE GUY HAS A GIRLFRIEND, POOR BONGSOON and he got transferred to the worst performing police team as punishment for arresting a politician that was caught paying for a prostitute. None of the officers believed she beat the thugs up, min hyeok stepped in and said that as he was a witness, it wasn’t bongsoon that beat up the thugs, but the thugs that beat up each other, due to the “chaos” of the situation, which led to bongsoon being acquitted. So now bongsoon decided to take on the job of being minhyeok’s bodyguard and find out who was blackmailing and threatening him, INKY TO FIND IUT NEXT DAY, JUST NEARBY HER HOUSE A MURDER HAPPENED DURING THE NIGHT AND IT WAS LOWKEY SCARY. I LOVE THE MIXTURE OF COMEDY ROMANCE AND MYSTERY.
