Broken of Love Episode 1

Ep. 1 - “Before It Breaks” has introduced each important character and laid out the foundation of the series. The pacing of the story is just right even if the EP included a lot and already covered the bases. The acting is really superb! Both Faye and Atom, playing as Arisa and Lyla/Lalin respectively, really did a splendid job. Their chemistry is through the roof and their acting skills are just top notch and felt so natural. The rest of the cast are also amazing! As for the cinematography and production, I felt like I was watching a Hollywood/Blockbuster movie by the quality of this series. It’s truly amazing! Let’s not forget about their musical/sound scoring and the Original Sound Track sang by their own actresses (in EP. 1 the OST is sang by Faye and more OSTs to come in the next episodes!). The scoring was timed and placed perfectly, not too much and definitely not lacking, just the right amount that adds to the depth and intensity of the scenes being played.Overall, EP. 1 for Broken (Of) Love is a great base to kick off this series. It leaves you wanting to rewatch the episode again and again, and also already craving for the next episode because you’d want to know what’s next. There was tensions, suspense, drama and definitely romance in this episode with a sprinkle of just the right amount and timing of comedy. I loved it! Can’t wait for EP. 2 next Saturday!

Things continue to escalate. The fascination with guns continues to soar and the problem is escalating. It is a stand off with no pleasant end.

Things continue to get more and more intense. The crisis at the high school gets worst as more and more guns become accessible.

This episode finally got most of the main characters to clarity on who loves who. Only Lishu remains still a little uncertain of where she should be going romantically now, though the episode closed with a pretty direct sign post for her.

Nothing likewatching the bad guys get what theydeserve. The way the scenes are developing is really adding an extra layer.

Qi Yi and YueXin are a lovely couple. He tells her what’s on his heart and she understands he is not a smooth talker to other girls. He is so smitten and his care for her is obvious. He is willing to step back and be friends, her response, ask me again. 😁First kiss in a beautiful setting. Xu Xiao has been let into the inner circle of the claw machine.😂 These two are equally sweet as they enjoy together the one fun thing she allows for herself. Her mom hovers over her too much. But we don’t know XiaoCen’s history and how severe it might have been healthwise. Old habits do die hard. I just really wish she had a better means of delivery for her care than her incessant nagging and micromanaging. Her love is appreciated but also very stifling. There is a reason every time Xiao Cen is asked a question about preferences they all lead back to mom. She oversees everything. 😝 Maybe her little sister can mellow her out a bit. The kiln master grudgingly admits the workmanship was good on the porcelain his assistant made. He is annoyed that it was fired in a modern kiln and doesn’t forgive him for that. Xiao Cen quietly shows him some books and reminds him that there was a day when this kiln was considered new and innovative. The kiln master stubbornly agrees to an order and his assistant is worried that his mentor is in poor health and it is a lot of work for a small order. They load up what looks like a forest full of wood and monitor the kiln and kiln master carefully. Sometime right before breakfast the kiln master collapsed and it was not caught immediately. He is rushed to the hospital where they learn he had cancer and was pushing through its final stages. His apprentice is monitoring the heat at the kiln because it cannot be left unattended. This may be what his master had in mind. His apprentice will now have to make all judgments for himself in a trial by fire. This episode has a lot of beautiful scenery and sweet couples. But for as much as the mom gets on my nerves, it’s like her spidey sense of danger is up and Xiao Cen is getting weaker as she gets more stubborn about participating. I am glad Xu Xiao is monitoring her closely and hope things stay on a smooth course for Xiao Cen’s health.

WOAH. GREAT. MYEONGIL IS THE BAD BOY he starts off seeming like a great, kind, innocent loaner but he lends 100m won to some big hotel company heir so he can build a hotel, and his only conditions was that he adds a casino and bar and a place for people to quarantine in the future if another crisis like covid occurs. But basically myeongil exploits small business owners by giving them a loan and paying all their debt, only to come back the next day and say you didn't pay “this, this, this and this” fee so now your interest has gone up. Myeongil, the CEO of smile capital his loan shark company, bribes people like assemblyma park (some big mp) so that the police would turn a blind eye to what he was doing LIKE U EXPLOITING OLD ELDERLEY PEOPLE LIKE WHAT. BUT MYEONGIL MAKES THE MISTAKE OF EXPLOITING A MOTHER OF A PROFFESIONAL BOXER, GUNWOO so he finds out, comes to his mothers cafe where the loan sharks and myeongil are pressuring her about the debt and THEY DESTORYED HER CAFE AS WELL LIKE I FELT BAD WATCHING THAT but gunwoo saves the day only to be stopped by myeongil’s big man, beom who beats him up, but since he had grit and still didn't give up the fight, myeongil wanted to recruit him, only for gunwoo to spit at his face, which make myeongil carve a deep wound into gunwoo’s face. BUT GUNWOO SO CUTE AND BADDIE at the start of the ep he beats woojin a successful boxer and ex marine and they start to become besties and they so cute like their friendship makes me jealous.

well this went from bad to worse... & ironically the person i am pissed at is Hae Jun - think even if the 1st season i thought he was "slow" maybe it's his acting, but his behavior given what Jae Hun is doing to him is absurd. he's acting like he's drugged, who willingly lets someone cuff them???? he is infuriating to me - well at least now his disgust at being kissed is justified. *******also didn't get his going to met Su Hyeok, who he doesn't know at all, yet he is meeting with him to find out about Jae Hun - ok i guess. *********************************************************************************************************************************not angry or even shocked by Jae Hun, cause the dude was, is & will forever be crazy. he showed us this in the 1st season. what he is doing here isn't that different - the only thing different is Hae Jun's not on contract & isn't getting paid. he treated Hae Jun like a thing to be used & not a human in season 1. they fact he fell for him & then eased it with the crazy, might have deluded Hae Jun into thinking Jae Hun (cause of love) has become a better man. nothing can cure crazy -

i am so confused about so many things, 1st off i might have missed this in the previous ep, cause i looked away... but every time Hae Jun get's kissed he looks revolted - EVERYTIME! it's like he is being forced - as in the actor, not the character & then i ask 'why did u agree to a 2nd BL?!?' cause his character is supposed to be into Jae Hun & as they in a relationship, he should want to get kissed. but throughout this ep every kiss, his face was scrunched up in revulsion - what gives?!???? was the director holding a gun to his head?!?? given his behavior i wouldn't be surprised. ***********************************************************2ndly Jae Hun is supposedly obsessed & in-love with Hae Jun, yet there i time that i wonder, given the fact he called him fat, doesn't like him eating this & that, tells him he is making a mess. i get that this also a very fitting for an abusive partner. but he sometimes talks to Hae Jun like he hates him. & lastly Su Hyeok - what is he trying to achieve? cause given everything he does i don't get a clear objective. how does going to Jae Hun's childhood home & awakening those memories make him break-up with Hae Jun & return to his fiancé?!? don't get the thought process of that whole scene with Su Hyeok
