My Grumpy Secretary Episode 4

I thought this episode would be a miss but it’s not. Also it’s the actor from My Dearest. She’s really cheerful. I realize one thing, for the episode to succeed and to be to my liking, the guest has to be younger than the 2 secretaries, has experience in being a variety show, gives good reaction and knows how to start when things get quiet or the secretaries has nothing in mind. Anyways, this episode is one of a gem. My favourite part was when Jang Ki-Young vibes really well with Ahn Eun-Jin, they’re very friendly with one another and they sometimes act like mischievous like looking at each other before slowly turning to seo-jin and kwang-kyu. They wanted to do a group run. Another favourite moment was when eun-jin asks for feedback on her acting and seo-jin gave her actual advice. That must be a learning moment for her to get acting advice from a veteran like seo-jin. Another favourite part of mine is obviously the filming of cameo scene. I couldn’t stop laughing at it.

This show have the potential to be great. I thought Kim Kwang-Kyu is a comedian but turns out he’s an actor. The first episode is already great, I laughed out loud quite several times. Maybe it’s the guest Lee Suji, but her reactions just made it so much better. There were times that I realized, wow, both managers are really bad at reacting that somehow I felt sorry for her to the point that at the interview it’s best to think you have no manager for the day.

Why did he force her to get so drunk? Why did he kiss her but then accuse her of pursuing him? What was the meaning of his accusation of her being a traitor? Is all this some problem with the translation? Or is the intention of the script writers that Feng Teng is just that confusing of a character? Because I sure as heck can't figure him out and I don't blame the FL for being totally confused. I can't blame her for wanting to back away from someone who is so confusing to her.

You Are My Fateful Love Episode 1

First ImpressionSuch a strong and intriguing opening—already messy, emotional, and full of drama.Episode ThoughtsWe start with RY, a successful writer stuck in a year-long creative slump. Hoping to find inspiration, she returns home and revisits her old school diaries, where she rediscovers memories of her secret crush. This sparks a new story—but believing it ended sadly, she rewrites it with a happier twist, imagining that he liked her back.Things quickly spiral when she’s accused of plagiarism. Her story is almost identical to another one posted online, and no one can understand why. The truth? That “other story” is actually her crush’s real feelings—recorded on an old phone and unknowingly published online by his younger sister. The situation snowballs fast. The sister tries to fix things by claiming she bought the outline, but it only makes things worse—especially with another author at RY’s agency using the scandal to try and push her out of the industry. Amid online hate and pressure, RY decides to fight back legally. And then comes the twist… her mum sets her up on a blind date with a lawyer—who just so happens to work at her crush’s firm. When she goes to the law firm, she unexpectedly runs into HXS himself. The tension, the timing, the shock—everything hits perfectly.Character Notes • RY (FL): Determined and emotionally driven. I like that she keeps a cool head despite everything blowing up around her. • HXS (ML): Already giving that calm, capable lawyer energy. The fact he has no idea about the situation makes this even more interesting. • Younger Sister: Her mistake really sets everything in motion—messy but kind of understandable. • Agency Rival: Already shady… clearly going to be a problem.Final ThoughtsThis is such a solid start for a modern romance—mixing nostalgia, misunderstandings, and a legal twist. The setup is chaotic in the best way, and I’m already invested in how everything will unfold.Favourite MomentRY walking into the law firm and unexpectedly coming face-to-face with HXS—THE tension.Trope Check • Childhood crush • Misunderstanding / false accusation • Hidden feelings revealed • Coincidental reunion • Lawyer x writer • Public scandal • Workplace rivalry

I am still not a fan of Mr Zhou, but I adore his mother. He is not meanspirited but he likes to hedge his bets with deals rather than sincerity. This puts everybody that works with him in a bad light. Their petty arguments led to him being carted around on his wife’s car hood. They are most concerned about scaring each other into compliance than what works for their family. His mom has a facial injury due to an accident and her scars scared the boy. That started all this showboating. When Shen threatens to call the police and has Qin play along, the Gma overhears and comes in to plead for her daughter in law. I was crying with her and for her as she made her case to include never seeing her grandson again if they would not take the mom to jail. The actress playing the wife did a phenomenal job of changing her persona from the wealthy non caring ex to the bawling daughter embracing her mom in law for the first time in a long while. The scene was very moving. I also loved the scene with them eating the sesame snacks on the stairs with the dad looking on from a distance. This is who they really are when they stop being idiots to manipulate each other. The poor old man with the three vultures was dragged into court when it’s obvious he should have been in hospital. His family is a trio of argumentative self serving vampires sucking the very life out of him while grasping for his cash and estate. They are disgustingly reprehensible and should have been charged with public disturbance and elderly abuse. 🤬 I really think he did disconnect the tube to assist his breathing and chose to peacefully die while they argued out in the hall. Judge Shen is now being sued by this motley crew because they see a cash cow through the court. His mentor stuck up for him and did a damn good job, but now she is being chastised for it told this will put Shen in a worse light. I am not convinced of that. They were all set to settle and throw him under the bus. At the end of episode his dad is told about it thinks he should be held accountable. He tells his wife their son is busy. I don’t like the dad. It’s not that he’s really in the wrong, he just has to be a know it all ass when he admonishes his son. The mom should meet Shen out of the house instead of trying to get him to come home. She would get better results and actually be able to have a conversation. I don’t think it’s too late for the men in her life to make peace, but she is going to have to accept it will have to be on their terms rather than her machinations to force them together. The pretentious brother that sucked all the benevolence from his family he could and now says sorry I’m out when the family needs his help is a piece of work. He should have at least had the grace to look sheepish rather than entitled. Shen has been benched for now waiting for the outcome of the investigation. When all of them watched and heard from the sidelines. It is incredible they think they have the right to cast stones. This episode was touching and annoying. They definitely show the best and worst of family dynamics. The jobs dealing with them in their worst moments are definitely not for the faint of heart.

Myunghee’s dad tries to get his son and myunghee to go naju but he fails and so only his son and himself go on to return to naju only to be spotted by soilders and then HE LEAVES MYUNGSOO AND IT WAS SO SAD and heetae’s father finds out abt heetae being in Gwangju instead of Seoul so he kidnaps his son (the car accident last ep) and traps him in his home, and eventually jungtae’s mum comes into the room, feeds him water, and then heetae asks jungtae’s mum to call the hospital and tell myunghee he’s okay but she said she couldn’t do it since she’s powerless in the house, and he then asked for jungtae and her to escape their home and that she should know that heetae never resented jungtae’s mum which emotionally moves jungtae’s mum and then she frees him and he goes to myunghee and they both escape to myunghee’s local church where they both temporarily stay and they start talking in their room to which myunghee brings up the idea of marriage to which heetae says yes.

am glad the whole Shone thing didn't become a big issue, Kang didn't string him along - but told him he already has feelings for someone else & to seal that deal, Shone walked in on Moo & Kang being all lovey dovey. idk why he needed to clue Moo in to the fact that the guy he started to develop feelings for was Kang. but as it was resolved in a blink i don't care. *******************also am happy that Kang was the one to ask Moo for him to be his bf. as if Kang was being to evasive for my liking & given what an open book Moo is, he didn't deserve anyone playing game with him - so am happy. ********************************************* regarding the 2nd couple, ironically i feel bad for both guys - for different reasons. Yos is so understanding & supportive of Tae, sometime at his own expanse. Tae on his end - was sad cause this is his dream & for his bff to get in while he was rejected (when Yos told him that that wasn't his dream he was just going along cause it was Tae's dream & he was just being a supportive friend, would be like salt on his wounds. bummer

I love how this storyline is set up. The acting is so good. The naviete of the new recruit against the reality of the seadoned veteran. We know we are in for a lot of twists and turns. Loved the slow build up to the guy who just wanted to study and pass his test.

Pursuit of Jade Episode 40

First ImpressionA heavy finale where the truth finally comes out… and no one walks away untouched.Episode ThoughtsThe episode dives straight into the truth about what happened 17 years ago, centring on the Prime Minister. While he didn’t directly cause the massacre, his actions led to devastating consequences — including the male lead’s mother’s suicide and everything that followed. It really reframes his character; you can understand parts of his past, but the damage he caused is undeniable. Then we see the fallout with Qi Min, whose ending feels like the true bittersweet conclusion. Imprisoned and ultimately poisoned by Manager Yu, it’s a quiet but powerful end. After everything — the obsession, the destruction, the chaos — it feels like justice, but there’s still something tragic about how far he fell. The episode also reveals that the grand tutor was deeply involved alongside the old emperor, showing that this entire situation was built on years of manipulation and power struggles, not just one person’s actions. The return to Lian Village is such an emotional highlight. After everything, seeing the female lead come back to where it all began — welcomed by familiar faces — feels grounding and full circle. We then get a time skip, showing a more peaceful future, and that mirrored moment of the leads riding out together again is just perfect. Her repeating his words about protection? Full circle in the best way.The alternative ending is interesting, showing what life could have been like without all the tragedy, but I’m still unsure about it. I think I would’ve preferred more time spent on the actual ending and side character closures.Character Notes • Female Lead: Strong until the very end. She carries the truth, the pain, and still moves forward. • Male Lead: Knowing what happened to his mother makes his story hit even harder. Loyal and steady throughout. • Prime Minister: A complex character — not the direct cause, but responsible for consequences that changed everything. • Qi Min: A tragic figure. His ending feels deserved, but still quietly sad. • Grand Tutor: Far more involved than expected, adding another layer to the political chaos.Final ThoughtsA powerful and emotional ending that ties up the main story while leaving a few mixed feelings. Not perfect, but still satisfying — especially with that full-circle journey. No matter what, they were always meant to end up together.Favourite MomentThe return to Lian Village — emotional, warm, and the perfect full-circle moment.Trope Check • Fate / destined lovers • Bittersweet justice • Revenge & consequences • Political conspiracy • Full circle ending • Alternate timeline / what-if

ITS SO SAD STOP WDYM SOUTH KOREA’S OWN SOLDIERS ARE SHOOTING, GUN-SHOOTING AT CIVILIANS, NO MORE BATONS, IT’S GUNS INSTEAD. Myungsoo and jungtae decide to go to the comic book store by escaping their training camp since it was their teammate/friend’s birthday but the store was raided by soldiers who wanted to find “rebels” (beat up anyone they could find) but they were lucky to escape but they got in the middle of an anti-martial law protest when the soldiers thats were on stand by in case the protest went overboard started shooting, and so jungtae and Myungsoo started running away and whilst doing so Myungsoo tripped and hurt his ankle, when jungtae went to pick him up, he saw his dad since he was the anti-communist head for the military, which was jungtae clocked that these soliders were south korea’s not north korea’s and he realised his father was a criminal, and myunghee found out myungsoo escaped and so rushed with the ambulance with heetae and two other doctors to the shooting scene where the soldiers with guns were still there and myunghee didn't find myungsoo since he got back to the camp safe, but heetae met with kyungsoo since he was about to arrest myunghee whilst he was on the scene but didn't since kyungsoo was in shock for seeing heetae and so didn't arrest them and let them escape on the ambulance and heetae told kyungsoo that sookchul was alive and safe and in Gwangju, which made kyungsoo drop his gun in shock. And now myunghee dad walked all the way from NAJU to get myungsoo and myunghee way a from the chaos and in order to give them space to talk, heetae goes with another doctor to get blood transplant bags from another hospital, even though they planned to leave Gwangju at that time only for heetae and the other doctor to be crashed into another military truck who ran into them PURPOSELY. LIKE WHAT
