The battle for Bosi continues. I would like PengYu to get his justice but he still comes across more as a petulant child. LiangLiang has shattered him. While he waits for his ace, Liang Liang has a press conference saying Bai stock will support Bosi. She and Gma are trying to force PengYu to give his shares to them. He is highly encouraged to back down. Pengyu finally sees the B side of LiangLiang. He saw her the most clearly, but even he overestimated having a 1% interest in her heart. She has successfully burned this bridge and for the first time, might have even harbored a few seconds of regret. Since she saved the tearful look til after she departed, it might even have been genuine. Mr Li has game. He is not as cowed by Jiang as everybody thinks. He knew what would happen with his money. He funded YuCi’s projects and Jiang diverted the funds. YuCi confronts him directly. Jiang and LiangLiang always expect their stepping stones to be too shattered to retaliate. They always make sure to have the upper hand to prevent that possibility. When she confronted Jiang about diverting the funds from her project, she told him bluntly he just used her to get the funds he needed for Bosi acquisition. He didn’t bother to deny it but he was on the defensive to justify his ‘diversion’ of funds and promised her projects after Bosi purchase. YuCi reminds him that since his faith is only in numbers not people, she is now aware of his real position and that no faith in him is possible. She leaves for plan B. Unlike most others he conducts business with, Li is probably pleasantly surprised when YuCi apologizes and admits Jiang took his backing for Bosi. She lets him know that her next move may be harmful to Lysen and apologizes. The one thing she has never wavered on is that her only interest is funding these two projects. She has no interest in the company’s machinations for Bosi. Here I was pleasantly surprised when he knew what would happen when he promised her the funding. He accepted that loss to have YuCi see Jiang’s dealings clearly. He is satisfied that this will bring YuCi to his side. This was his win/win scenario that LiangLiang thought she was providing. The Mastermind has a hidden fund that he gives to YuCi. Mr Zhou let her know of its existence and she has asked mastermind to give it to her. I mocked the existence of these three for conveniently existing to help her, but I have to confess they are becoming my favorite sidekicks. Beauty Pearl society approach PengYu with 4% shares and tells him a woman will further assist. YuCi is ready to have a chat with him. They are aligning to help him avenge his father. Mr Jiang gave two letters to an aid if he didn’t make it out of the building. One to his wife and one to his lawyer. For the first time he might recognize his match or better in a business deal and he is staying prepared. What I found interesting is his cobra chair did not seem so impressive or dominant when she was in the room with him. She quietly deflects his power and reminds him of his place in the scheme of things when she exits the room. I am sure she will toss some numbers his way since that’s what he values. PengYu is surprised that YuCi has an ace. She reminds him that good people are just more careful in using them. That does not mean they don’t have them. They are getting ready to have a chat when the episode ends.

Episode 3 of Girl Rules is where things finally shift—first kisses, messy choices, and tension that actually means something. From Min and Praew’s turning-point moment to the rising push and pull between Sasha and Gorya, this story is starting to serve. And we have thoughts.👉 Read the review: https://bit.ly/40QI2F3

Episode 34 of Pursuit of Jade honestly feels like a tale of two halves, and not in a “best of both worlds” way at first. The opening leans heavily into palace politics and intrigue, and while I get that it’s important, it kind of hits like a surprise exam you didn’t study for. I really wish the drama had sprinkled these elements earlier instead of info-dumping them now, because it does drag the pacing down quite a bit. I was this close to giving the episode a low rating… until the second half swooped in like a hero in shining armor and said “plot twist!” Chang Yu, General of the 4th rank, enters the capital in what can only be described as the most extra, flower-powered entrance ever. The Pig Butcher Squad, Li Huai An, the soldiers, even the horses all decked out like they’re attending a royal spring festival parade, and honestly, I was living for it. It’s bold, it’s pretty, it’s very her. Then we get that déjà vu moment of Xie Zheng watching Chang Yu from above, instantly throwing us back to Xigu Lane days, and his proud look? Sir, you are not beating the “number one Chang Yu fanboy” allegations. And then comes the real showstopper: Chang Yu in court. I knew she was blunt, but wow, she went full savage mode in the most satisfying way possible. Watching her casually dismantle those officials who tried to corner her felt like watching someone speedrun shutting down nonsense. The way she kept checking in with Li Huai An about when to kneel or what to say was both adorable and hilarious, like a “first day at court but make it chaotic” tutorial. She even managed to silence heavyweights like Grand Tutor Li and Wei Yan, and the reactions across the room were priceless. The emperor’s face alone deserves an award because you can practically see him thinking, “finally, someone said it for me.” I won’t lie, I replayed that whole sequence more times than I’d like to admit because Chang Yu was absolutely aura farming there. On the softer side, the Xie Zheng and Chang Yu moments were a treat, giving us that cozy, married couple energy that just feels right. And look at growth, no slapping this time when he sneaks in a kiss, we love to see character development. Jin Yuan Bao’s reaction to them together quietly broke and healed my heart at the same time. He really radiates big brother energy, like he might have feelings but ultimately knows Chang Yu is where she belongs, and that kind of quiet acceptance hits different. I also have to give a shoutout to Guan Yu Peng as Qi Sheng, the Emperor of Yin, because wow, the man delivered. His portrayal of a puppet emperor juggling fear, restraint, and hidden frustration is already impressive, but the way he injects a bit of comedic realism into it makes the character feel even more alive. And that crying scene? Painfully convincing. The gasping, the pent-up emotion, the sheer exhaustion of it all, it genuinely made me feel for him and everything he’s been bottling up. So yes, this episode starts off a bit meh but ends on such a high note that it completely redeems itself. With only six episodes left, I’m both excited and emotionally unprepared to say goodbye to this absolute jade of a drama.

it’s enjoyable because i generally like this show. it does not satisfy me as a new start after the last season. i do like the story+line of being betrayed by odagiri being something that seriously hits her. the shirokin class was their own people & the kurokin class are their own people who have different complexities. i think she did an okay job with asserting herself to these new kids. she doesn’t resort to a fist immediately that is just her character & it was handled okay. i am saying this because i don’t really see her growth from shirokin shine that bright but like i said that’s okay. it will be an issue if this happens in the third season like c’mon now you see what fate the cards have given you. i think they did a great job i also think this production knows how to handle circumstances really well like kuma was a great return. it also makes me emotional because he was the first kid she ever fought for in this show

But all the bad feeling are ended due to XZ and CY drunken 💋 and Easter egg 🥚🫠🫠🫠Meanwhile, chaos are awaiting in the capital as old friction between Wei and Li.

This episode exceeded all my expectations... amazing! It’s a shame it’s the last one for this part, but I can’t wait for more. I really hope to see this couple in other projects too. Great job! Congrats!!!

Stellar acting from Takeuchi Ryoma, my heart broke for him. But I'm kinda over this whole mystery and all the secrets and lies.

Gongsun Yin's imagination of Chengyu as a butcher is wild and funny before meeting her. His mind went crazy over several scenarios protraying how his friend the Marquis is suffering. This episode had me laughing so much.

Bad Acting. Bad script. Bad directing.Totally not worth watching. They should have asked the leads to attend workshop before they taped this series. Feel bad for the author.

Nothing change. Acting of both the male and female leads are lousy. It seems your watching a low budget play from agrade schoolers

Episode 2 really elevated the story. The emotions felt deeper, especially with the characters’ struggles and hidden pain. You can clearly see how past trauma is affecting their actions, which makes everything more meaningful and heartbreaking. The chemistry between the leads is natural and comforting, even in quiet moments. What I loved the most is how the episode balances soft, warm scenes with emotional tension—it keeps you fully invested. The details, like the small gestures and dialogues, add so much depth to the story.Overall, this episode proves the series has strong storytelling and emotional impact. Definitely a 10/10—can’t wait for the next episode!
