Episode 15 is all about tough decisions, and you can feel the walls closing in on the ML. The Rival Lead (RL) blocks his supply route, forcing the ML into a corner where collaboration becomes the only viable option for the project they’ve just won. And you can tell the ML doesn’t make this choice lightly — he’s weighing consequences, timing, and the bigger picture.Unfortunately for the FL, she spends the episode running around trying to prevent exactly that outcome, even finding a supplier so the ML won’t be forced into a compromise. Plot twist though: at the celebration banquet, the ML publicly announces the collaboration with the RL’s company anyway. The FL is disappointed and doesn’t fully understand the decision, but she can sense there’s a reason he isn’t saying out loud yet.The RL continues with his smug behaviour… until the FL beautifully puts him in his place. A genuinely satisfying moment.When New Year arrives, the FL wants to invite the ML to stay and be part of their celebration, but before she can, he starts distancing himself. He’s stuck at a fork in the road: one path leads to clearing his father’s name, the other leads to a bright future with the FL. He’s spent so long trying to prove his father’s innocence that letting go feels almost impossible.The dinner scene where they exchange well-wishes is quietly heartbreaking. All the ML wants for the FL is a trouble-free future — and he doesn’t believe that’s something he can give her. Worse, he doesn’t believe he deserves happiness. We’re in for a rocky ride from here.Side note: the best friend’s husband is still flashing red flags. He misses their anniversary and doesn’t tell her he’s quit. He also makes a comment implying she doesn’t ask questions about his work, and her response is telling — she avoids asking too much because she doesn’t want to stress him out. She can feel something isn’t right, not because he quit (she’s told him before she wouldn’t be upset), but because he shuts her out and tells her after the fact.Honestly, it’s giving insecurity. He talks about wanting the “big house, big coffee shop, big dog” life, but the best friend doesn’t seem desperate for any of that — she’s happy as they are. Her career is doing well while he’s still trying to get his start-up off the ground. It’s clear this is building toward more drama.The RL is applying pressure on the outside, but the ML’s real battle is internal — he’s convinced love has to come second to justice, and that belief is about to cost him.

Intertwined Past — anniversaries, doubts, and connections tightening

Episode 14 really leans into the “intertwined past” theme, and I’ve never wanted to bop someone as much as the Rival Lead (RL). His smugness is honestly exhausting, and he clearly enjoys planting seeds and walking away like he’s done something clever.It becomes even more obvious that the ML and his mother aren’t close. It’s the anniversary of the ML’s father’s death, and she refuses to go — largely because she firmly believes he committed suicide to escape the building issue. But I can’t help feeling there’s more to it. Personally, I’m not convinced it was suicide, and if I’m putting my two cents anywhere, my suspicion lands on the stepfather. After all, once the ML’s father died, the business became his — and that alone is motive enough to silence someone.The RL also plants a nasty little doubt in the ML’s mind: would the FL stick around if she knew his real name? It’s a subtle jab, but it hits because it taps into the ML’s deepest insecurity — that he has to be chosen even when he’s fully seen.We also get a glimpse of the FL and her relatives paying respects to an uncle who passed away at the building site, which strongly suggests there’s more to the story — and that the father’s death is somehow connected to the FL’s family as well. The web is tightening, but I won’t lie, the timeline still confuses me a bit — especially around the father’s injury and the FL giving up studying abroad for three years. I’m not sure whether it was an existing issue or something new, and it still feels slightly unclear.What is clear is the relationship between the FL and ML. They’re getting closer and closer, and the feelings are starting to feel impossible to hide.The more the past resurfaces, the more it feels like the ML and FL aren’t just falling in love — they’re walking straight into a truth that ties their families together.

When she finally entered the room in that dress, walking straight toward him and pulling him away from the crowd with ease, the moment was effortless and striking. Even Pei Zhen couldn’t hide his reaction.The tension that followed — Xiu’s awkward dance with Pei Zhen and Zhi Yu’s unmistakable jealousy — added light drama, but it never overshadowed the emotional core. Learning about the collaboration between Forma and Dynamism unsettled Xiu briefly, yet Zhi Yu’s reassurance grounded her again.The Spring Festival scenes were warm and intimate. When his steps unknowingly led him to Xiu’s home, the warmth of her family dinner, her quiet gestures, and the tangyuan tradition created a moment filled with hope. Episode 13 is a whole mix of chaos and feels — from broken facilities to a family reunion that drops major truth bombs, all while the FL is quietly falling in love in real time.The biggest reveal? The Rival Lead (RL) is actually the ML’s older stepbrother. It was hinted before, but now it’s confirmed — and he announces it after purposely entering the ML’s mystery game. The FL tries to warn the ML, but only ends up getting herself in trouble because she’s snuck in without a ticket. Classic “trying to help” backfiring moment.We also get another important clue: after the ML’s father died and his mother remarried, the ML tried to break into his stepfather’s safe. He was caught, and the RL — still not fully aware of all the connections — assumes the ML is just a thief. It’s clear the RL doesn’t have all the facts yet, which makes his confidence feel… premature.What really stings is the glimpse we get of the ML’s relationship with his mother. She’s been more of a mother to her stepson than to her actual son, and the ML has been forced into the outsider role in his own family. I’m genuinely questioning her “mother card” here, because she didn’t step up for him when he went to America to study either.On the softer side, the FL is clearly falling in love with the ML little by little — not because of big declarations, but because of his actions, his care, and the way he consistently shows up for her. And then, under the influence of alcohol, she swoops in for their first kiss. Honestly? Whatever she was drinking, I’d like some.With the stepbrother reveal and the safe incident resurfacing, it feels like we’re circling the real truth about the ML’s father’s death — and not everyone in that family is ready for what’s coming.

Starting projects

I want to slap Yu upside the head for being in I don’t deserve happiness mode. Xiu sweetly wants to start off the new year with mulled wine and a kiss which Yu rejects without explanation. He just goes with ending lease early.😝 I knew he was going to send Gong to pack up and I knew she was going to return the dress. The one quiet aside is he did strike a cooperation with the 3D place Xiu found. The only condition is it had to be confidential. This is another Darcy stunt at doing for her while being distant and minimally communicating. 🙄Zhao checks hubby’s phone and finds Jr’s messages. He has been pegged a cheater since he showed up on drama but this still feels off. I think he originally saw her as the means to get his project approved through whatever work she is doing for him. But she opportunely gave him a kiss that he didn’t rebuff immediately. I am waiting til his reaction next episode before I decide if this is work or work with benefits. 😝😡The really sad thing is Zhao saw it. I want her to confront him directly and for the air to be cleared. Since he deceived yet again, she has every right to determine how this plays out for them as a couple. The one lesson he still hasn’t managed to learn is to be completely up front with her. His idiocy in this regard may just have cost him the love of his life. If it does, I can’t say he doesn’t deserve it. Zhao was the innocent party supporting him no matter what. She deserved that same respect from him. If he can’t see that, he needs to be out of her life. His desire to have all the bigger and better things in life weighed more value than his wife’s partnership. His ego to be the provider rather than the partner got him into this. He has a long way to crawl up just to get to basement level.😝He didn’t even recognize his wedding anniversary gifts were the same. I wanted him to be the good guy for her and he just wasn’t. I am as sad as Zhao that he appears the cheater even if he really isn’t. Whether he planned it or was trapped by a conniving young woman doesn’t matter now. Zhao gets to decide if it is forgivable or if he is forgettable. 😝 It is for sure Xiu will be there for her like Zhao was for Xiu after breakup. I was completely mistaken that she was the nightmare one sided crush from college days he wanted to forget, but she sure as hell will be his nightmare now. Pei has shown up with gifts in hand trying to garner the favor of the Dynamism staff. The team teases that the gift of chocolate was much more personal. Xiu is given the job to work with Zhuling on worksite to help oversee things. She has busted her ass working on the design and truly is the best one to do it. I like that Ms Zhou gave Yu a heads up to ok Pei’s request for Xiu. He respected Xiu’s capabilities and knew she deserved the job more than the differences he had with Pei. On the way to the site she forthrightly lets Pei have it what her stance is with work. That she wants things professional and not be used in any fashion to assist in their family squabbles. She outlined his maneuvering specifically and called it for what it was. That set him back. At the worksite she sees Pei on the job and surprised he can get out of his custom designed suits to work side by side with the contractors. It is a side she has never seen of him. I hate that he liked her favorite sleep song….but even a snake can be charmed.🙄 I liked that she wanted to start things fresh on a professional level and stuck out her hand with a smile. She is determined to go forward with this project with her usual optimism and straightforwardness. This is the career she loves in spite of these two ‘brothers’ interference. I want her to shine. Yu is on to something that will show Pei uses lesser materials. He has requested their financials for the previous year and elder Pei and Mr Shen are sweating a bit at the specific request. Pei has noticed the reaction of his dad and the need for a few days to adjust things. This goes back to Yu’s remark that is niggling the back of his brain. Yu knows or suspects something and waiting for the chips to fall.

i don’t like your tone

i think the biggest problem yhis show has is tone & delivery ，& performance ，because to be honest it’s not really lacking much. it is trope–y but like I’m okay with that ，besides the entire premise being clichés for gay people ，it’s the point & look it’s nice to have it for whatever queer person wants it ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ yeah the acting sucks i think kodai omly makes one expression & doesn’t have the heart for this ；i also genuinely think he’d do better at being more comedic because his awkward★ness act is already half+way there but that also means he’s stuck half+way nowhere ；the f4 also are all not charismatic enough to sell their fantasies ，now watarai ；i think watarai would come off a lot better if they treated him like a paychological thruller threat i genuinely think that’d be more interesting because that,’s also how hipki would most likely feel in that situation watarai comes off horrifying & i love the line of beauty & allure & terror & fear ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆　　 ｡･:*:･ﾟ★,｡･:*:･ﾟ☆ there’s a lot of small directing i really like like how watarai is the first to hear hioki mouse jis voice up to say something & when watarai turns the rest notice his action & follow ，hioki also comes back to the group sniffling. i enjoyed the really intimate & imperfect the camera was when hioki woke up to watarai. that was a really good scene to be gonest i like when the show gets a lot more serious & hioki gets a lot more silent & lets the natural shock take over of anxiety. it gets better when hioki gets quiet i think his dialogue & kodai’s performance undercut so much. my suggestion of playing up hioki’s social ineption with comedy & translating watarai’s archetype into a chill thrill ，i think it could be a greater way to interpet hioki’s unpopular archerype & then we can have more serious moments speak for themselves. one more thing also their chemistry kind’ve sucks ，i think kan could do more like neither of them are at their best when they’re together ，which sucks for romance. it sucks really fucking abd. i think that’s it really

After coming home Yu wakes up to find Xiu gone. Xiu has been canvassing unknown turf determined to find the 3D tech they need not manipulated by Zhuling. She happily comes back with contract in hand to find out she is late for Lyman banquet and needs to hurry there. She is dressed more like game reporter than elegant lady. She really doesn’t care as she spars with Pei on the way in. I love her confidence and the fact she’s not the least bit impressed by Pei because of how he does business. She has no fear putting him in his place and letting him know the low estimation she has of him at every opportunity. Ms Zhou tells her to hurry up and glam up before she goes out to the masses. She is told she needs to dress to impress. Inside the package is the elegant gown Yu admired in the window. It is perfect for her. 😍As she strides in, Pei is impressed at the change and even salutes Yu and Xiu with his glsss. Not so they can see. She walks right up to Yu and rescues him from the circling debutantes determined to get Yu’s attention. She doesn’t profess to be anything other than who she is, an architect colleague. But she nicely puts them in place like schoolgirls attending a rally. She assures them they will be most pleased in what Yu has to say. She is telling him all about the company she has found and ready to sign a contract with when he breaks the news they are teaming with Zhuling. She is stunned by this news and can’t quite take it in. She decides to return the news by accepting a dance with Pei. I wish she would have stomped on his feet harder while stumbling.😝 Yu broke up the dance by making Pei come up and give a speech for Zhuling. Here is where Ms Zhou lets Xiu know that it was all Yu’s doing about the dress. She ponders that while she is out on the balcony away from the crowd. Yu apologizes for not telling her earlier and now understands all her absences. She forgives him because bottom line it is his call and she has accepted his beautiful dress. She also realizes that it was absolutely necessary and not last resort because Yu doesn’t work any other way. This makes him give another full smile. She wanted to invite him to spend the new year with her family but he was too busy evading her with other plans. We are led to believe he is going to his mother’s home but she is greeted by a phone call and delivery person. Pei is hiding upstairs. He doesn’t want any more of this forced socializing than Yu does. I am glad he is not there but visiting the uncle that has always supported him. He reveals that he is just about ready to clear his dad’s name and that things are in place. He finds himself in the lane looking up at Xiu’s house where he is caught staring and invited in. He gets to see what home really is looking at Xiu’s loving family. It is so opposite of all that he knows. It is bittersweet as he wishes her a new year with no troubles. Zhao finds out her hubby quit his job five mins after a new contract is signed. He is exhausted and she is annoyed but they work it out being spinning tops.😂🤣I am hoping he finally keeps her in the loop and has total transparency with work now. These two greet Xiu from her family’s house and everybody seems to be in high spirits with one exception. Yu is on the path to revenge and will let himself see no other option. He has even turned his new project over to Zhuling to set his plan in motion. He needs to have his name cleared especially because of his line of work. But what will it cost him to accomplish this?
