Beauty is as beauty does

The first thing I liked about this was SM holding the phone out of the reach of Vendai guy🤣 Have to say it is fun to see a gal do that 😂Making her way back she sees policemen ready to take him away and TQ takes the phone from her as evidence. She now knows he can see. It’s very awkward and before she can make up yet another lie he lets her know he’s aware they were all fake. So she then accepts her fate and apologizes in every form to include the alpaca. TQ jumps a bit at that change and says he knew it wasn’t his alpaca at the zoo. He accepts her combined apologies and says it is all now over. One thing about TQ as he analyzes situations is that he considers the part he played in them and evaluates himself truthfully. He critiques himself often and combines that with the actions of others. She kinda ruins the moment when asking about her job.🤣 but I know that part of it is she is feeling very light after all the guilt she’s been toting and wanting assurance that things are still ok. Mean girl is out and GY stops further gossip. But for this, I really wish they would give all the gory details. SCC is in the elevator and TQ notices she has a button missing and offers his jacket. She is appreciative but notes in mind that for SM he put it over her shoulders. So this puts further proof in her mind he’s not interested in her. The reaction of the seniors with the pictures just makes your heart full. SCC and WY use tech to take their photos back to their 20’s so they can refresh their memories of their youthful splendor. There was one exception. This sweet woman had been a widow for a very long time. Her husband had died young and she opted to never remarry. SCC took their youthful picture and aged it for her. Her tears of joy seeing him age will stay with me a very long time. This writer can frustrate the crap out of me with things like QST death and thoughtless girls and then 2 episodes later use those same girls in scenes that give me great joy and long term memories. TQ arrives and gives a bouquet to the widow and learns that her husband had given her flowers in place of a ring. The smell of the bouquet brings up memories from others and now they are ready to accept the perfume samples after a nudge from SCC. As TQ listens to SCC encourage the ladies that beauty is timeless and perfume is good for young and old, he is reminded of the various things her disguises had said. He is completely entranced again and can’t take his eyes off of her. This drama is so special. It makes you feel deeply whether it’s good or bad feelings and it has people talking whether they love or hate it. The pure number of animated conversations makes this a success regardless of numbers😁

I had some revelation about something very very basic. Maybe it's not even the first time I am realising this? But feels like it is.Started watching Cherry Magic (Thai ver). Even though I am super biased to the Japanese live adaptation, I decided I can only give the Thai version a fair-ish shot if I considered it as something new and do my best not to compare. I'm only in one episode and while I appreciate the cultural difference incorporated, I wish they kept Karan's character closer to Kurosawa. No, it doesn't make the series better or worse if I think about it, it's just a preference. Because Kurosawa's cute thoughts were what endeared me to the character - even when madly in love, until he is actually closer to Adachi's even his fantasies are just his crush looking cute, adorable or sexy after a shower wearing PJs. That's only the extent he lets himself even fantasize, and that's the defining point which made me realise how these two versions are different for me. Thai version is a fun, romantic watch; Japanese is my comfort series. Just like comfort food you look for when you are sick - something you are attached to, something that will make you feel better - varies with people. Mine is simple, sweet, without much complications, and the (unreal) purity of Japanese series made me very attached to it. Like incredibly biased.That said, the first episode was a fun watch, with difference in persona, living and working situations reminding me this is an adaptation - all these points were wonderful. I guess I can say it's no "30-sai made Dotei Da to Mahotsukai ni Nareru rashii" but I do like it in a different way.(There is one thing I am biased to here and it's Tae Tawan's smile so.. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️..first episode ended in a very satisfying note)

so much happening, still kinda shocked that everyone was planning Jang Uk's wedding without even thinking about informing him. thank f*ck for Master Lee. ***********************************************************************************************************************************************after that ending i am starting to wonder is Mu Deok isn't the lost eldest daughter of the Jin clan. would ask what that mirror is & where it dragged Mu Deok too - but i guess we will find out in the next ep. maybe that is why her body is special & why Naksu entering her body didn't cause the usual side effects. *******************************************************************************************************************************************also the rat's henchman who's after Naksu, does he want to make sure & get rid of her cause he lied to his master - am guessing.*******************************************************************************************************************************************also Park Dang Gu is a sweetheart but he got bad tastes in women. Jin Cho Yeon is a spoilt brat & a headache not worth having IMO. & wonder why the crown prince was invited cause Mu Deok supposedly stole something from the Jin clan & disappeared. why he involved?

Terungkap!

Episode 4 ini menurutku berfokus pada pengisian latar belakang cerita yang sebelumnya tidak dijelaskan di episode sebelumnya. Walaupun begitu, menurutku ceritanya cukup menarik. tapi, tidak terlalu excited, entah kenapa mungkin saya sedang (sambil) mengantuk karena baru saja menonton series 9-1-1 episode 9 season 8 - atau mungkin saya berada di fase kelelahan karena ini memang bulan puasa ramadhan dan saya memiliki banyak tugas hari ini. Dari segi vibes, mungkin ryu dan arm memang ngangkat menurutku, namun porsinya menurutku lebih sedikit dari episode sebelumnya, selain itu romansa yang ditampilkan sangat ordinary, terasa membosankan. Tokoh lain di episode kali ini punya peran yang lebih banyak dari sebelumnya, walaupun memajukan jalan cerita yang pendek bagi mereka, namun sangat berimpact pada tokoh utama series ini, terutama tentang adiknya ryu, "run"/. Dari segi dialog mudah difahami, walaupun versi weTV punya timing subtitle yang agak berantakan terutama dibeberapa scene penting, sub muncul durasinya terlalu pendek. Episode kali ini menurutku berfokus pada orientasi konflik, mungkin episode selanjutnya mulai resolusi. Saya tidak sabar ingin segera menontonnya.

Whack a mole

GY and LY are my happy pills. That sweet granny just made my morning with her toast🤣 she is gonna be one of GY’s favorite people forever. His compromise of just being together with her on her terms was an offer she could not refuse. That first hug🥰 I am still grieved with her over the QST debacle. She had fun sharing SCC’s new toy and thought it a joke to literally play dead. It was not ok to talk SCC out of listening to her conscience. When I saw TQ set up the scene for SCC and LY I thought he was doing phase one of getting SCC to admit what she did. I thought it was funny making them run through their QST death scene and that he was simply collecting as much data as possible to test the limits of what she could do and making them sorry for what they had done. When he yelled for them to get out I just thought he was prepping for phase two. I was expecting him and GY to have a chuckle and continue plan for catching the company mole. When TQ was literally surrounded by all the disguises laughing at him I was shocked and very glad GY gave him fresh perspective. I thought he had recovered more than he had. I like GY’s response to LY asking if SCC and TQ would be ok…one is smart and the other strong. Someone else will be in trouble. TQ takes a walk outside with SCC and Vandai sneaks accompanying him. SCC is adept at whacking away the goon trying to injure TQ and get his blindness caught on camera. I am so glad they released this and next episode together so no waiting to see this part resolved.
