after finding out where Mac "disappeared" too & how he is being treated, i am sorry but everyone in this can go f*ck themselves (& not talking about the character's but the crew & writers that came up with this depravity). the fact that he tried to force Itt, doesn't justify him being turned into Nan's sex slave/pet like r u frekin kidding me? & no one bat an eyelid at what they were witnessing? the fact Itt stood there like a moron, isn't shocking as he is Day's slave. but the fact that viewer's salivating over this, as some romance u gotta watch is sick. i can't sit through this - let alone watch the whole drama. this is revolting! & in real life everyone in that friend group, belongs in jail - including Itt! f*ck this sh*t.

Wonderful historical and psychological rom-com thriller

This kdrama is funny :) The acting is great. Learning about Korean history and food is amazing. The story is really good and so fun. Hey this is not a fast paced thriller but it is an amazing story and acting and... it is REAL. This kind of stuff is happening right now as we speak. This kdrama is about you and me and everyone else... Yeah maybe it is an old trope time travel, but this one has twists that you haven't seen before :) One thing that makes it great is good acting of the FL, ML and the villain, esp FL. It is hard to find a good FL actress. This FL actress is an excellent actress, so she made the FL character very complex and fun to watch. FL is sarcastic, insecure. poor-trying-to-be-tough but really feeling desperate and lost,... - and also warm and righteous, typically when nobody is looking ... She is a little girl, hurt and failing, and trying to trudge on, and also smart enough to seize the opportunity and kind enough to teach the Josean guy about things he does not know.. She is a little stupid and rude, calls the dude Mr. Homeless in public.... She is a little rebel angry desperate girl and hopefully will grow up soon. I am writing this after ep. 6 :) where she exhibited her smarts and asked some tough questions but fell back into her insecurity and swallowed the lies :) FL is an amazing comedian and really makes it real. That actress is excellent. Her role is really complex and deep as she has layers of opposites that she keeps toggling between LOL and her acting skills are amazing.FL is a perfect match to the bubbly, overly optimistic, overly confident, overly righteous, very warm and generous, and VERY NAIVE Josean ML. ML is really a nice guy and he has trouble understanding that there ARE bad guys out there.... ML is an amazing comedian too. He is an idol, I think, but he is a great actor. Many models or idols are good-looking but cannot act. This guy CAN act well. His role is not all that complex though because he is a typical oblivious male who just cannot read the room and he is socially ZERO, he really cannot read people nor the room LOL He is not a politician at all... He is a healer. He sees what people truly need. He never ever plays games and it does not occur to him that other people do LOL but he is smart enough to study it and understand, and adjust. But he is nobble and at this point useless noble bc he is so naive. I am writing this review after ep 6. He has NOT grown up yet :) He has not even started to ask questions nor to take note of his own feelings of imminent danger or his memories of the villain trying to kill him. He SEES IT, he FEELS IT, and his brain is stuck on "hey that Villain dude is such a nice guy." That's how dumb he was in Josean and today... eons of being stupid... and now being healed in this kdrama :) And the villain is an amazing actor too as a villain. The Villain actor really conveys a MONSTER. A monster a lot more scary than anything you could find anywhere. He is subtle but powerful and gets you goose bumps how SCARY he is, he is scarier than Godzilla..... a smooth-talking, praising you, pretending he cares for you, pretending he has an interest in your well-being, you-feel-good-while-he-backstabs-you kind of person, a CHRONIC LIAR in a way that is impossible to detect... he makes YOU feel like you are going crazy as he convinces you that blue is red. and takes your life. He is like ... you know that Disney movie about Moglie? When the big python wraps around Moglie and hypnotizes him with his eyes and is just about to eat him? Well the villain character, Chef, is worse than that. HE IS SLIMEY and DANGEROUS. The actor who acts the Villain makes it really really SCARY bc he really conveys the Vilan character so well. And the script is great to show the important details that really showcase that he is so cruel, evil, scheming, lying, and he is soooo good looking and nice and successful, so socially engaged and so political, always in positions of power and dolling it over others, he is A RESPECTED PUBLIC FIGURE OF GREAT STANDING , he is soooo smooth and always says the perfect thing ... AND LIES AND CHEATS NON STOP.... and DESTROYS other people non stop ........ bc HE has to be on the top..... and the scary part is, .nobody suspects him. He is a successful social and political figure.... So he goes around doing all kinds of bad stuff... he really knows how to lie. He is calm, composed, lying and killing machine with a pretty and COLD face. This is not your typucal psychopath cheabol who kills others to get to the top. This dude is a sociopath. He is UNDERCOVER. His devil's tale is well hidden under his polite, smooth, handsome, PLEASING, SUCCESSFUL appearance and demeanor. One value of this kdrama is just to watch him and find out what kind of facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, and your own intuition are RED FLAGS that you should RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!! run for your life before this monster eats you alive. The villain is a classic sociopath, in a very very very bad flavor, an extreme case. Read "The Empathy Trap" article online to learn what that is like. The scary part is that ppl like that are all around us. The villain character is a monster, truly monster, in Joseaon and today. This kdrama is about building karma. That dude was building bad karma since Joseaon and probably before... he was just PERFECTLY EVIL. and... FL and ML are totally smitten with his nice face and lying... FL is so insecure, a few nice words bought her 100% unquestioned trust... and the ML is too naive and did not acknowledge that the Villain back then in Joseon actually tortured him and killed him. ML is that typical confident PRIVILEGED male who is just OBLIVIOUS. He meets all kinds of people who he recognized as ppl who did him bad and he still does not connect the dots bc to him ... the world is a great place. The ML is too naive and trusts the villain blindly bc ML is a very good guy. I AM SURE you will find yourself in some of those three characters. Each one is an exaggarated character flow and character strengths... This kdrama has karma and magical figures and time travel... but the issues are eternal. I love it. It is real life, for real. Everything in this kdrama is definitely happening right now to you or me. Maybe not in a kitchen LOL like for them, but in life.

watching this makes me think that this is how an abusive owner, abuses it's pet... & Itt is like an abused dog - he is terrified but has no one else to turn too, & sorry but not one person around him is watching the disastrously situation unfold & advising him to just leave! **************************************************************************************************************************i am starting to develop an allergy to the words "soul mate" - as if that word justifies Day walking all over Itt. it gets so infuriating, watching how Day is playing with Itt, like a cat would play with it's prey. Gear called it teasing - no it isn't, he is intentionally doing sh*t that will cause him distress & pain, cause it makes him happy - as this f*cker is a sadist & a narcissist to boot. **********************************************************************************************************************************idk how many times i've wished Itt put his foot down - finally have enough of all this mistreatment & manipulation. but dude has been broken a long time ago & for him to find it within himself, to say "no" let alone "stop" - would take a freakin miracle.*********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************this also shows u how an abusive spouse can get away with murder, let alone abuse(!) & when they lose it & murder the subjugated partner, everyone is shocked cause they "couldn't see the signs" plz - **************************************************if anything this BL is proof how people (& i aint talking just about the other character's, but the Audience!!!) sees exactly what is going on, but is focused on everything but what is truly important - & the only thing that's important is the abusive relationship & how Itt needs help, help to not only to get out of it & far away from Day. but to start learning that he is worthy of better treatment, that he is a good person that can stand on his own two feet, that he isn't stupid(!!!) & with a bit of work could succeed his father.... he is capable of anything he sets his mind too. but this will take so much work - to unlearn all the conditioning he has been put through - this genuinely sad. as this a serious topic, but will be brushed off & painted over with revolting pink paint called love.

Fate

Sunny and Rain get together. He was quite sneaky in how he became soulmate for her. What had me laughing was his techie brain telling her how they could improve app to prevent cheating like ‘they’ had done.🤣 He explains via txt what happened with colleague and resolved that decently, with both women. He definitely writes better than speaks.. 🤣The mom is cutting the strings and giving them apartment ads. 😁 Their truth or dare game reacquainted them with what they appreciated most. His willingness to just be there for her where she was at won her over. This episode made up for many bad ones. It put a smile on my face and warmed my grouchy heart that was annoyed at the distractions put in the forefront. Here I am finally pleased with everybody even tho there is no real logic for everything to end well. I don’t care. They enjoy the rain and the sun together and we finally know they should be together because they really are better people together. It just took a very long time for me to see it that way. Here everything was as it should be, the actors, the writers, the film crew, et al. They are free with each other and finally come into their own as a real couple with no distractions

if i didn't read another commenters comment, mentioning Unforgotten Night, i wouldn't know to connect between Kim & Kamol that came to surprise Day, to that BL. & considering Kamol (Day's ex Mob-boss), my head went down a dark path, that he heard Day lost his memory & came to take advantage of this fact. but the sec i understood that Kim & Kamol r the character's from that BL (Unforgotten Night) the penny dropped & remembered the main plot of how the mains there hooked-up. ************************************************************************************************************************************what i can say is that Day there, didn't come off as toxic as the Day here. & Itt there was more like a naïve school boy, he looked underage & was sweet, innocent then broken & turned into an immature man-child like the Itt here. (but will admit that i couldn't stomach that BL & had to drop it, so maybe there was more about both these character's, that would paint a similar picture, idk). ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************what i know is that it will take a hell of a lot for Itt to give-up on Day, heck maybe he is so far gone he will never give-up no matter what Day does to him. that is the scary bit about being this broken. Day can say & do anything to him & he will bow-down & say thank u, just so he can be near him. the fact that Day is taking full advantage of this situation & Itt's subservience isn't shocking, as that is who he is. ***************************************************************************************************everyone has made the fact that Day has No feelings for anyone, very clear. the only one he cares for is his brother. that wont stop him from using & abusing anyone that is happily enabling it. i am really sad for Itt cause i don't know how this can end good for him (& sorry but Day remembering doesn't mean good ending IMO). *****************************************************now if Itt had enough & cut his losses, moved on to anyone else (like Ball), now that would be the beginning of a happy ending - but alas that not to be ********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: i am really weirded out that they chose an actor that is 50 to play Kamol, while his love interest is a guy that looks like a baby in comparison to him. which is very yucky & also not accurate to the OG BL as there they were similar in age. why not get the same actors to make a short cameo ＼（〇_ｏ）／

Ships keep passing

I Ling is waiting for You You at movies but he is held up. She kills time in karaoke machine and is found by cute pharmacy guy. They have the chat she should be having with You You. 😝 She gets another txt that You You can’t make it. While there, she see’s her ‘prince’ is Prince to all damsels in distress. While her prince is off his pedestal, her hubby is being gallant Prince for co worker. I hate this bit of drunken meetings for CEO to take advantage of female colleagues. It was a vehicle to get them in same cab, but it wasn’t a good look for either of them. She should have made excuse to leave early for son and avoided all this mess. The one thing I liked about this episode was I Ling cutting loose at karaoke after hubby said not gonna make it. I think this is the first time she has been her real self in a very long time. You You finally tells the truth so that his family will quit trying to ‘cure’ I Ling. He let her go through a lot before his spine strengthened enough to be of use for her. This gave his mom some time for reflection and we get her back story as a new mom. You You was sickly so she developed a rigid routine to keep him healthy and safe. But it did have consequences in how dependent he became staying in her home.The other thing that deserves mention is when ma-in-law actually listened to I Ling’s past travels and realized, even if only for that minute😝, how important it was for I Ling to have her own home. That it was something circumstances had always kept from her. I can only hope she feels a bit guilty at her depriving I Ling the freedom of her own home since married to her son. That was hopefully a moment of true clarity for her. You You gets in cab with co worker and passes out. She wakes him at her place and wants him to txt her when he gets home. As the cab starts to leave he circles back to her place.

Colleague has to challenge I Ling with what ifs. This again is a sidebar that won’t do anything with the growth of anybody. She reminds him that there were no good points to start from that would have any better results. That his odds would be 50/50. They complete project and head for home. Xue You is there to greet her. His evening had been playing dad with his colleague’s son and dropping them off. Again to the writer….to what end? They come home to a circus of family and predictor of best spot for fertility. It is so out of hand that this mom took zero time to actually talk to them, encourage them, and ask what they wanted to do. This ‘I know what’s best for you’ crap is wearing thin. Especially since the ones she is ‘helping’ have least say in the matter. I Ling should have grabbed his hand and run out the door to leave them all to their own devices. Will he man up and tell mom the truth? He was ready to til mom brought the zoo home.😝

Xue You’s mom finds the surgery discharge bill and assumes it’s for an abortion. When he struggles with explanation, I Ling lies to take the blame thinking she is helping him out. He turns around and gets mad at her. I think he is mad because he thinks she is giving herself excuse to not try to have children with him. I would like to think it’s more about telling his mom the truth, but he’s still the baby living at home indulged by her. If he were truthful he would be wanting his wife happy in her own home and he has yet to reach that point. She was finally stepping up to take the heat from him as a concerned wife and got crap in return. It is no wonder these two don’t progress. It is always one step forward two back with them. I like the casual friendliness between I Ling and colleague. It is so clear they are better suited. His roving eye is more to tease her than him actually being interested. His gaze following her and him getting her comfortable sandals as well as getting her to eat show how he really feels. He has matured enough to realize it has to now be unrequited because of his past immaturity, but he takes it on the chin and keeps looking after her. The single mom is also better suited for Xue You. She is calmer and kinder. Her child would be a good ballast between him and his mom. He would get his priorities settled much quicker with her. But she should not try to weave her and child into his life just because he is unhappy in marriage. With a child involved she should have kept better distance unless his circumstances changed. It is selfish and harmful to get him and her son so attached if he can not be a true father figure in his life. It is too confusing and misleading. While exploring distractions that can lead to infidelity, it neither strengthens the couple nor makes two stronger separate couples. The writer just keeps everything murky. While slices of life are often that way, it is unclear what point the writer is trying to make.

Nice work, Gun & Pond!

After a solid opener, ep. 2 surprises with an unexpected venture into the past of the main characters. While I applauded the lack of comedy in ep. 1, I'm not entirely against using it in this show - hence I'm fine with what ep. 2 did in this regard. Dew and Pahn keep annoying me and their story doesn't interest me in the slightest. Gun and - surprisingly - Pond were both the strong points of this episode. Day's and Ozone's relationship is more complex than I expected it to be, also presented in a skillful way - thanks to both the writing of the episode and the performances of both actors. This is by far the best I've seen of Pond - ever. Well done, gentlemen.

OMG where to start - 1st off the way this opened like WTF, Day not just punching Itt - but then we get a flashback where he is abusing the sh*t out of him - like WTH am i watching...then we proceed to that fight in the pool bar, where Day sees his bf bruised & bloody, but proceeds to play while beating the bad-guys asses - what?!? ************************************************************************************************************ & sorry, the dude with the long hair (that tried to hit on Itt) saying he knows those "teens" & would take care of them - took me out - teens?? they teens? i gotta get my eyesight checked ヾ(≧▽≦*)o****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************can't take this BL serious or maybe this supposed to be a romcom - cause i've been laughing non-stop at the absurdity of things.********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************both the mains r crazy toxic & i don't get why everyone just annoyed at Itt for being a spoilt brat, when Day in his own words told us that he wants him this way(!) so he can control him, as he's totally dependent on Day for everything. *********************know everyone gonna blame Itt for the accident, even if he doesn't blame himself - but i can't forget the start or his behavior throughout this ep. *******************************************************************************************************************it might come off as a spoilt brat throwing a temper tantrum, cause he is addicted to cake. but to me it's looks like conditioning / grooming / brainwashing where Day has broken Itt & made him into this crazily, obsessive spoilt brat that needs constant handholding & affirmation, cause he doesn't exist without Day. ********************************************************************even if it isn't clear to the eye, Day has taken over Itt in every aspect & he is a true psychopath in how he has alienated Itt while physically not removing them from his life. **********************************************************************************************************this hella toxic, i feel bad for Itt cause everyone else doesn't get this & enables Day's constant control over Itt - strengthening his hold on him, this way he will never be free. let alone suffer anything, as is sure he deserves it.

Fertility clinic

It is usually assumed to be a female problem, but in this case it isn’t. The humor they attempted in sample room I could have done without. It was just weird and unnecessary. 😝 Xue You is undergoing various tests and instead of comforting each other they curl up facing opposite walls. The crux of it is they don’t seem to know how to be a united front for each other. They can support similar efforts in career and in wanting a child, but it is still like each individually going through their own trial rather than growing together to rely on each other and become a single family unit. They can’t be truthful with his mom and barely with each other as they struggle through this experience. They have no tacit or verbal understanding between them. They are closer to their work colleagues than each other. And while this is supposed to be addressing serious matters with humor, it is just even sadder because the humor falls flat with the chasm between them. The actors are not at fault as they can act well. This is just told poorly via the writing. The script has little compassion for the actual couple and focuses on the peripherals. There are so many distractions that the couple gets lost in the background. They are never allowed to be each others main focus. So far in 8 episodes, there was only the one scene where they were truly together and in sync. After four years of marriage this isn’t cute or funny. We should have seen them in therapy, or couple seminars working together. Not him still at home with his mom and her still not in wife mode in her own home. They still have no real private time and are undermined as a couple by interested third parties causing distractions. They should be forging together to become stronger or saying their goodbyes and start really living apart. I am not even rooting for these two to become parents. They aren’t even a couple yet.
