Didn't expect camp

What a start. From the reaction about Tong cutting a piece of cake, the vibe was announced. I'm expecting full melodramatic, telenovelas's style. The soundtrack reminded me of Unforgotten night. Okay, hear me out. It's the ambiance it created where it was supposed to be dark, serious, dangerous but in a way that was ill-fitted with the scene in front of us. Of course, I don't mean this in a bad way. I'm really enjoying this. From the synopsis and the trailer, I was afraid the show would be so seriously taken, with all the realism possible, more like a action drama. So, I am pleasantly surprise that they had chosen to go full camp ( ...... To be completely honest, even if action stuff aren't really my thing, with Joss presence, I'd be watching it all ....shhhh......). I don't believe anybody was surprised how Mark was introduce to us. But I didn't thought it would be that long (no pun intended), like the amount of time on Joss with so little fabric was something I didn't think I could hope for, especially this soon in the show.As of right now, I can't really tell what I think of Joss and Gawin's chemistry. It's is good but too soon for me to be able forming a confirmed opinion. Also for the side's characters, I can't say much either. We didn't get much from that. Maybe, I think the setup of Tong's story was too long. I felt like the side's characters wasn't truly connected with the main storyline. Or maybe it's something I can't figured out yet but I do have an issue about the first part of the episode. But it got real better real soon after. I mentioned it earlier, so I wont repeat myself, to get it tho ... wink, wink. But I didn't mention the hotel room scene. It wasn't a surprise that Tong was going to cut his finger on a piece of that glass of bloody marry. I remembered a bloody marry to be way thicker than that tho. Any way, the actual drinking of the blood was hot. What the hell was they trying to do with bitting the hears? I was clutching on my inexistent pearls. ( Not complaining tho ). The moment I, a hundred percent, lost it, was when to full camp showed itself. I burst out laughing the moment Mark backed into that glass window to the landing in the back sit of his car . It gave me a mix of Bollywood action's movies and Twilight. And again not complaining at all, I loved it. That, to me, is camp in the best way. All the little funny moments that shouldn't be on paper but is in action, is camp to me. Like, come on, the way that kid vampire run away was hilarious. Even the big revelation moment was so camp with in the Twilight way, i was screaming in front of my screen " You know what he is, Tong... Say it ! Out loud !".So good, I really had a good time. I'm hoping it would stay in that direction. I feel like I should mention the villain of the story but it's just not enough to form an opinion yet. It was a bit extreme to take away the reporter but it goes with the vibe. They're others that i will mention later, like Tonkla or the florist. But as for now, there is nothing much to say about them. I can't tell yet who would be a side character that would stick around. I would like for the guy that told Tong he could be a prosperous hooker to comeback, he was kind of funny. In conclusion, I have a good feeling about the episodes to come. The preview for next week said something about Mark protecting Tong until he turns 21, I really curious about that. Maybe after that, Tong's blood become normal, or if a vampire drinks it before then he'll become more powerful, or he would become human. I always have lot's of theory but I am also often wrong (if you read the book, would you ming spoiling me, I don't mind at all). Anyway, I am really exited for next week's episode.
