Honestly, what on earth did i just watched?!?!
The film starts off with our 3 MLs without even exploring their characters for viewers to get invested in them, all we know is that they are a film club and they are out on Club Vacation because after this they are gonna be out in the Adultworld. They teased us in the beginning this will probably turn into a killer film. Then we got introduced to our FL and the dialogue interaction with our 3 MLs towards her was soo bad, it's soo unnatural, it looked like the scriptwriter never had a real interaction with a woman, i think it's because our 3 MLs are those virgin boys who never had a girlfriend before, that's probably why. Then the filmed turn into a mystery for a bit then turned into a killer horror film, i don't even know what is happening and those old actors are bad at acting as killers too, everyone in this film is acting like anime characters, except they are not that why its soo bad, but whoever is the actress of Tasaki yuki, she's really cute thooo, i think i like her, she looks like a combination of Chuu and Kanna Hashimoto.
After this whole ordeal of chasing, killing then there's blood and shit, we found out that this whole situation was a big misunderstanding which was so OBVIOUS!!! because of what granny said when she was introduced and then they rewind back to where grandpa was introduced which is early in the film, just to show the other side of this movie how the misunderstandings happened.
Then we cut back where the film left off and all of the characters are sitting down for a hot pot, it's chill, nice, and cozy, they are eating and talking, getting to know each other, and then we get hinted at something, then sleep. Moments later, they finally revealed a plot twist with who's the real antagonist which was obvious as well, and what the motives are and connected the dots that were hinted at in the beginning, shit is happening, gore everywhere, police came and the movie ended with an open ending and our Main Male lead finally reunited with her crush happily.
To be honest, this was a bad film it looked like it was filmed by a bunch of amateurs that had a wacky idea and tried to turn it into a reality, and even though it came out really dumb, it was still fun, like dumb-fun, it's soo bad that it's good, that you can't even take it seriously, i don't even know if you're supposed to take this movie seriously and you're just having a good time laughing for how bad this movie was. That is my biggest compliment, yet the biggest diss for this film.

I feel like I just got baited
I feel like I just got baited. The actors, the script their acting everything about this film is almost perfect super cute and fluffy, I would have given this a higher rating but I feel like I got tricked by the film's genre tags. This feels like a bromance rather than a romantic film between two friends. I do not sense any romance between them I mean it's obvious that there is something between them and the whole time "I'm like so where is it wheres the romance"? I felt like I just spent an hour + watching two childhood friends just live together, discovering what they want to do as a career and getting to know each other differently cuz they are now living together and you get to see them enjoy food like a lot but the whole time I was just waiting to see if they would verbally make it known if they where dating or like each other romanticly especially cuz of that one girl at the start of the movie who was trying to date haru but got rejected and even at the beach scene cuz aki and haru are so hardcore playful with each other aka flirting I was just waiting for someone to say it but they didn't. Even the male leads don't even confirm it not really. I even had to confirm it was supposed to be a gay romantic film off of the GagaOOLala website from where I watched it to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I'm sure they are more open about their feeling in the sequel from what I noticed they have one but this film is the hugest slow burn ever. It was taking away from the film for me. I'm sure others who watched this didn't mind but when you go in knowing anything Japanese will have you waiting until the end to give you the ending you have been waiting for and not getting it is frustrating. I sure hope this is not like Manitos Laundromat which was a huge disappointment cuz they make you wait 2 seasons to give you a rushed happy ending while being such an annoying slow burn. Was this review helpful to you?
same same but different
i watched this after watching triage the series and I am so happy for them that this was a successful project. but as for this movie the story felt a bit unsaid and empty it's direction need an improvement. The plot is same but different it felt a bit cheaper and jinta was missing. Was this review helpful to you?
Touchy love story. Perfect for Christmas/New year MOVIE TIME
I loved every bit of this movie, not only the actor Chen Fei Yu is my favourite. His couple with the lead actress deserves recognition. Both played their roles really well. After really long watched such a good chinese movie. The lovestory of Yuxian and Shuyan unfolds in a very beautiful way. I won’t give any kinda spoiler as it will disclose the story line but it revolves around Time Travel. I have seen movie called Love You Forever in 2020 which resembles it a lot and both movies are worth watching and make you emotional. Music was soothing and so does the scenes, I would rate everything 10/10. We all love time travel movies even though we know we can’t do it in real life (ONLY IF WE REAAALLYY COULD =D ). Who doesn’t want it?P.S: So if you want to watch a romantic movie, like the actors and fan of time travel. Go for it <3

wow that was unnecessary and very long for no reason
I really thought I was too harsh on the movie when I watched for the first time so today I gave it another chance to maybe to prove to myself that I was very uncharitable with my one star rating but as always I was right and my rating has changed to .5 star, and if there are negative rating on mdl, I will give it allmy problem is that the editing was so fucking terrible that I keep rewarding back to try and failing to understand wtf is the chain of events but it's was a waste of my time and I don't mind a minimum plot when I watch or read anything cuz I'm character driven type person and in the department of development of them it was bleh these movie remained me of the river of the tomb that movie was also a drag and a chore to finish I should have avoided it cuz who is the person who did the poster it's so busy and unremarkable
I started watching back because I saw the pictures of
kwon yool character sitting there with his tits out, and it's a couple of seconds . Even after seeing them, the rest of the movie worked so hard to ruin my mood 🙃
so yeah, I don't recommend it .

Frustrating
The recipe for this film: induce random conflicts for the sole purpose of setting up meaningless plot twist after plot twist, a sprinkle of symbolism here and there, various graphic acts with a touch of unusual characters in equally bizarre costumes, and all neatly packaged with a final comical, voyeuristic homoerotic act. With some reflection, it is clear to us that each ingredient was tactfully manufactured to artificially arouse the audience with shock value. And perhaps it is only these scenes, and not the story as a whole, that the audience will remember. Yet, keener eyes will not succumb to such parlor tricks. Despite the tight script, the screenplay itself was contrived and unnatural. The movie was a boisterous performance to posturize Park's chops as an experienced director and a film enthusiast, but not as a storyteller. The film had every element of becoming great story but resorts to tawdry gimmicks. All in all, The Handmaiden, although technically better filmed, is a far cry from Park Chan Wook's earlier notable works, which seamlessly showed originality and a honest exploration of life's gravitas.

Good Short Film
Some may want it to be a series or a longer movie, but I personally think that would ruin it. The length of this film is almost perfect for its plot. If it was longer, then everything would seem slow-paced and boring. 14 minutes may be very short, but I'd think 10-30 minutes is the best for this type of production. Now the reason my rewatch value is very low is because it's so short, you'd probably remember everything that happened and it wouldn't be fun to rewatch unless you're just watching for the cast. I think the chemistry is pretty good considering they're in the same group. There weren't many scenes where the actors could show off their acting, the difficulty of it is pretty low. Plot is pretty ordinary so I gave it a 7 for that. I like the soundtrack and the production + cinematography. Definitely recommend. Was this review helpful to you?

The bystander dilemma
If you like psychological films, where the weight of the story resides in the character portrayals and their complex relationships, this is a very good film among the genre.Although I have seen a lot of people argue about if it is a "BL":
It is not a BL in the sense there is no gay relationship portrayed. This is not a romance film, period. But it is a "BL" in the sense there is a very obvious love from one of the boys to the other; an unrequited love that is the "seed of all chaos", we could say. Warning: lot of spoilers in this review
Our ML, Yeong Jae, transfers school. Since the first moment he attracts the attention of Se Joon, who befriends him quite enthusiastic. YJ is in need of money to pay for his mother hospital bills, so asks SJ for help getting the job where SJ works, that is incredibly well payed...but it is a shady awful business (drugging women to let clients rap* them). Also, YJ begins to develop a crush on In Yong, who is head over heels for Se Joon.
Both of the main characters (YJ and SJ) are human trash, but their characters are really interesting and appealing. SJ actor is absolutely extraordinary in his character of SJ, a bully at school who dominates over other boys with his fighting skills and makes girls swoon over him with his good looks; who works a really immoral job to get plenty of money. Although there is an instance when we see him look stricken and guilty by what he has done to the girl at the end of the film, throughout the rest of the story we can see he has very little morals and does not care about any other human being, apart from our other ML, Yeong Jae. I really don't know what first made him so interested in YJ (his good looks, maybe??) but it is pretty obvious he really cares for him and loves him dearly. He is constantly looking out for him, protecting him and in fact that scene and the hotel room where YJ blames him for introducing him to the job made me feel indignant. SJ is really trash, but he only got YJ in that job because he begged him; and SJ tries to spare him the dirty side of the job (when he began working at the club, and SJ is there, YJ only has to sweet talking women, it is when the two guys begin to contact him without the knowledge of SJ when the criminal side of the job is revealed to him). SJ took the risk to go to that hotel room to clean the mess YJ left behind, but there was YJ saying "you and those 2 guys are monsters". And he was right, but he is so hypocritical; he is just as bad as him, a monster. He should have gone to the police since the first moment he realised what they really did to women there. But no, he chose to play victim and remain silent, even being an active collaborator of their crimes. And he can't even use the excuse of an ill mother, because he knew his father would give them all the monet they needed, but no, it is best to let women be harassed and evil run free than feel humilliated and less dignified asking your rich daddy money because you have issues with him.
What SJ did to In Yong is heartbreaking and has no forgiveness, and I am glad he ended up in prison paying for his crimes, but if there is someone in this story who has no right to condemn him is YJ. I am pretty sure YJ KNEW (or at least deeply suspected) SJ's feelings for him, that's why he hides him all the time his meetings with IY, and the fact he gave her a gift. So at the jail scene he seems sorrowful because deep down he knows SJ did that to IY because he was jealous and was in love with him (which he basically confess to over and over during their conversation at jail: "you really liked her, right?" "you gifted her that parfum", "please tell me the truth just for once"). and YJ more or less conciously took advantage of SJ's love for him, even to the point where after proclaiming he was going to turn himself in he NEVER did it, the f**cking coward. And SJ never snitched on him, which he should have imo lol.
The story depicts very sensitive harsh topics: rape, human trafficking, blackmailing minors... but I really liked the message (or at least that was the one I got from this movie), that BYSTANDERS (YJ) are just as bad as the ones commiting evil, that having some conscience and feeling bad doesn't make you any less guilty that people without any morals, if both of you harm others or let others be hurt and you just turned a blind eye.
We have 2 "evils" represented in the MC: SJ, the straightforward evil, who doesn't give a damn about others but he is honest to a fault and wears his heart in his sleeve, and YJ, who does not say a single truth, who goes all about rightneousness but allows and even commits bad deeds but plays the victim. The worst of them is YJ, who doesn't even pay for anything and has the chance to begin anew in a new setting. I guess he will spend all his life repeating to himself he was just another victim because he didn't want to hurt other people, but deep down is aware he is just a pathethic coward and a monster .

Invisible Fist (2019) - 8/10 cmovieLets start where to find it - I had to visit Chinese site to watch it luckily it got eng subtitles
http://www.videochina.org.cn/2022/0407/8344.shtml
unless you want wait for weirdly long video loadings every 15 min, install some downloaded[jdownloader etc] and download whole video from site.
Since its boxing type movie I am comparing it mostly to western production. And in such case 8 as average or [B rating] is about right.
Story of this movie is great and it had great potential. Sadly if I use allegory this story is as big tree with alot of branches which are all trimmed and cut short very early.
If they focused on few of these branches more rather than just showing little of everything. This movie would be great.
Shortly they try to affect emotionally watchers, but they show too little and too clumsily[maybe actors fault] to really pull watcher into story.
Mike Tyson cameo etc is nice bonus.
plot- Good boxer lost his pregnant wife and ended up with retarded son without hand[ML]. As single father he raises his son as best he can and teaches him little of his old art[boxing]. ML as adult he disregarded his father’s opposition to the boxing and becomes professional boxer even with his handicap.
genre - boxing, disability, life stories

Very over-rated. The movie seems to have one theme that it repeats over and over again: Assassins are people with ordinary issues. Yawn. It is not as original and definitely not as clever as the writer, director, and actors seemed to think it is. Much of the humor and all of the potential shock value from the multiple violent scenes fall flat because there is no compelling story and little character development. I never thought that a movie about a bunch of assassins could be this boring! Was this review helpful to you?
A Punk Rock Band Saves the World!
"Fish Story" is about a punk rock band who unwittingly wrote a song that would save the world decades after they split up -- and split up because that very song, and the album on which it appeared, were utter flops. Hence, it's not merely a movie about a punk rock band who saved the world, but a FAILED punk rock band who saved the world! And the movie is just as clever, witty, and fun as that premise would lead you to expect. Hell, there's a reason this movie lands on so many different critics' lists for, "The 100 Best Japanese Movies of All Time." The reason is that it is perfection.Consider the opening scene, which depicts a meteor on its way to destroy the earth in a couple of hours. Corporate buildings are deserted; cars abandoned in the middle of the street; and litter strewn everywhere in the wake of a public panic. It's an apocalyptic scene of the sort we got in Stephen King's horror-fantasy, "The Stand." Only we quickly learn that unlike "The Stand," this apocalyptic plot is comedic.
Because there, in a vintage record store, two dudes are blithely unconcerned with the comet hurtling toward planet earth preferring, instead, to discuss why a particular band qualifies as authentic punk rock. It's funny as hell because it evokes how society ridicules certain communities with the aphorism: "Those people think such-and-such is more important than the end of the world!" Well, music nerds truly do think a precise distinction between "rock" and "punk rock" is more important than the end of the world. And so it is that with this we have a perfect opening scene that aptly sets the tone for what continues to be a perfect movie every second of its duration.
Now, one must be patient, because it's one of those movies wherein multiple narrative threads with multiple sets of characters from different eras are being woven together as we go; and you won't recognize just how intricately they'd been woven until the very end. But you'll have fun with the characters and the dialogue even when you don't know how the hell these various narrative threads can possibly come together. Then, man-oh-man, when they do come together you'll find it was well worth the wait. Indeed, it was spectacular!

beautiful!
This movie follows the journey of Mitsuomi, who decides to leave his office job in bustling Tokyo and return to his hometown. Upon his arrival, he encounters the warm and friendly Yamato, whose bright personality leaves a lasting impression. The storyline is light and enjoyable, offering a well-thought-out plot that leaves a heartwarming impact. Unlike many films, it doesn't rely on unnecessary sex scenes to captivate viewers. Instead, it beautifully portrays the tale of two individuals seeking to mend their emotional scars and discover healing within themselves.

Unexpected cult comedy
An unexpected cult comedy that is way too excessive up till a point that the whole theme is actually trying to be as excessive as possible, and somehow it turns out to be fun enough. It was metaphorically accurate about lovers' quarrel although most of the situations are obviously exaggerated, but sometimes absurdity indeed does not need much logical sense. Well, the closing part is still oddly satisfying, which is super weird because the plot is something that should be taken with a grain of salt. Was this review helpful to you?

2 parts. Review for One Night only.
2 parts! Night Bug and One Night. I watched One Night. *My rating is for that only. Watched on GagaOOLala (Dec 2023).General Spoilers below.
The theme of expectations vs reality came up repeatedly throughout, in big and little things, though in a way that was intrinsically part of the storytelling (not hit over the head with it). It was a well done 35min film. It is not a happy ending but it's not tragic either, and it IS a realistic young adult gay experience. The feelings can be relatable for others too- the ease and naivete of young crushes, especially when sex is involved, and disappointments from realities.
The bond and playfulness between the three young friends is great and often humorous. I loved them. For two of them, their experiences from their visit to Seoul will leave an emotional wound but they will continue on with their lives. The acting felt natural, especially from the three boys, as did the intimate scene between Geun Ho and Joon.

Film mírně nadprůměrný a ne moc typický na taiwanskou produkci byl po všech stránkách solidní, ale jakoby nebyl dostatečně okořeněný, dochucený a já si nakonec přál, aby dopadl tak, jak dopadl. I přesto snímek spíše doporučuji oku LGBT diváka.
