Definiton of Failed Potential
Before anyone gets upset at my review please understand that this review is coming from a place of no bias. I haven't watched anything from this director before, I have not read the manga, and I have no attachment to any of the actors. Full disclosure I have an attachment to 2 actors in this movie but they played (borderline) nameless characters that die within the first 10 minutes of them first appearing on screen. That being said, this movie is just wasted potential. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it but it could've been so much better if it WASN'T a movie. It's already hard in nature to make a written piece of media, into a visual form of entertainment, but to try to cram it all into one 2-hour long movie...wild. I'm a very sensitive person who cries easily at movies...not once did I cry in this movie. Not a single thing affected me deeply because I wasn't given enough to time to form attachments to that character. I wish I could've gotten to see these characters get fleshed out more. The entire movie was just running from one game to another. There should've been gaps in-between for us to learn more about each character. This would've made the deaths in this movie a lot more impactful. But then again, there's only so much they can do with such little time. That's why a show adaptation would've been a much better decision for movie.In conclusion, it was an enjoyable movie but it's hard to form attachments due to how rushed the movie is in moving from point A to point B.

Must watch
This movie is the best movie of 2022 for me, a must watch movie trust me you won't regret watching it the story development is so good and it's well written, it's so emotional . Few things I didn't like the start was kinda long for me also they a little bit rushed the last 3~5 mins to end the story, but also the villain they didn't show his back story well.Its 2 hours and 20 mins but you won't notice and you won't get bored watching. they could have made a k-drama with this story I bet it will be a hit.

Just under an hour of absolutely nothing happening
This was on TV in my country (I'm from northern Europe) so I got curious and watched it because there aren't a lot of Asian movies on TV here. It was so boring that it's actually almost impressive. The black and white filming and essentially no music were, uh, interesting choices that did nothing for this movie. In fact they maybe even made it worse.The story goes nowhere, and you learn almost nothing about the characters. Their personalities and goals are pretty much all unknown. I literally just finished this movie like 5 minutes ago and I probably couldn't name any of the characters other than the "main character" Jongho. Though even calling him a main character is kind of reaching in my opinion. There is no real substance in any of the roles.
On top of all this, the dialogue and interactions between the characters feel extremely stiff and awkward. I think this is supposed to be some kind of art film, but I honestly don't see what the writers and directors were going for. The cinematography could have had potential to be very beautiful, but it suffers from the black and white colour scheme, and the relationships between the characters are not in any way deep or meaningful enough to be considered art.
So yeah anyway, it's a no from me, dawg.

Idiot in Love makes a bunch of stupid decisions
Well this movie is depressing, slice of life romance about a guy who may have a kind heart but is a complete fool and does not know how to communicate, handle liquor and thinks buying a woman's body to blow off some steam is a reasonable way of doing things...The female lead is kind of cool, I do not really get what made her fall in love with the fool but I do feel for her. I also feel for the fool as his way of buying women and making stupid probably is a reflection of the environment he is in rather his true self, whatever that is... So I did find myself shedding a small tear.
So if you are in the mood for some ugly clothing, depressing lighting and a not so happy story of fool falls in love... this is indeed a place to find it.

It is what it is...
What do you get when you mix "She's All That" and "10 things I Hate About You" and add a bunch of words in Tagalog?Well this, definitely this a lovely teen drama with cliches and things you have seen as far as the eyes can see with a few fun takes, entertaining, cringey, predictable... Oh so predictable, honestly I could probably say their lines before they said them even though it was my first time watching this movie.
However I was entertained and at the moment in desperate need of mindless, bad boy goes soft so it hit just the right spot. So a part of me loved it.
Do I recommend it? Probably not, but if you are in the mood for exactly this (as I was) then yes go for it, as it will deliver exactly what it promises. For those who want substance, or quality of any kind this is not the place you will find it (no offence).

Aahhhh Iâm crying
I loved the story all the actors and actresses. The setting the screen time the plot twist but the ending had me in tears . Itâs 11:55 in Scotland and I just finished watching it and Iâm in tears also the female lead is my favourite actress so it was a win win. I loved it .if you like her then I would totally recommend you watch young actors retreat itâs so nice and funny and of course I had to watch that cause all my favourite actors were there ( ji Chang wook, park bo gum, hwang in youp, park seo joon) like chefs kiss to all of them.Was this review helpful to you?
not that deep
everybody keeps on claiming that it has depth, a background or a solid logical base. no my lads, it doesn't. a doctor tries ro implement will to live thru r@pe. it feels lije somebody wrote smut and then tried to add some plot or a base to it. theres no match, pacing sucks, holes in the plot timeline... there was no real shift to affection, no post trauma behavioral disorders or any legit reaction- even stocholm syndrome would make sense in this unimportant piece of work but no, they skipped it for the sake of "good mutual fixed love ending". nobody needed a happy ending, nobody even expected it. they could stick to a effed storyline and make it all about ass@ult or whatever but no, they have to establish all them cute tropes.sometimes i write last minute essays on my phone- but even them have a better plot structure than this thing. if any of you dig into this movie and find something of value- it is not because of the movie, but it is your own productive and logical thinking skills. Superficial and boring, but yea hornyjail.

Life, Lust, Cancer an a whole lot of bad relationships
There may be a gay relationship in this drama but this is definitely not a romance, or a very pleasurable watch it is more of an artistic, raw depiction of relationships, cancer and figuring out life around it.To be honest some of the editing will make your head spin being a little bit too artistic and the nudity is pretty much in your face with a lot of heavy breathing and sexual content this is not the typical movie about cancer, having it start of with in loving memory of the writer of it makes it feel just a little bit more real as you know there will not really be a happy well anything in this.
Though there are a few moments of love and support (very few) most of this movie is pain, being taken advantage of and more pain. I love how they show us that contrary to what people often believe or is shown in other movies getting diagnosed with cancer does not automatically cure the broken relationships of the past. This movie even had me thinking who the h*** wrote loving memory when nobody around him seems to care.
Turning this otherwise oddly paced, a bit to artistic feel to it movie in to something worth so much more than most movies out there that show illness. Making me want to recommend it to any one in the mature audience as it has some pretty extreme shots of both sexual content and other situations that are definitely not appropriate to watch without proper guidance of a mature adult. As it is 18 + for a bunch of reasons.
There are also a bunch of pretty shots of scenery and some beautiful artistic nudity too, as not all are raw and in your face... + it does seem to show life with a stoma in a sad but beautiful way.
So watch this for its story when you are up for an artistic yet probably realistic depiction of Life, Lust, Cancer... And a whole lot of bad relationships.
P.S: What takes away points it the too artistic at times, a bit too much nudity and the odd pacing.

People do seem to feel attraction
This short film is oddly slow paced, and most of the attraction is shown by use of gaze. There is not a lot of dialog and I found myself going back to see if I missed something in there, as I find myself confused at the end.What actually happened?
Why did it happen?
Was it all just attraction?
Or was there more action between the lines that I just did not really get?
So this review may be completely meaningless but for you watching this thinking you will get a 14 minute romance, this is not the place to go but if you want to watch people feeling attraction in situations that they probably should not act upon this is a good place to look for it. Maybe my confusion is that the gazes seemed to show me longing more than attraction...

Well It's a Movie
This movie could have been pretty interesting if it focused on one concept, but the layering they tried made for a clunky off-putting movie and the twist at the end felt empty and like it was thought of at the last minute. The movie relies on sound to scare you more than anything and there is a scene when they tried to up the volume so loud that the sound just starts to cut out. The sfxs makeup was probably the only interesting part of the movie and most of it also had CGI elements that brought it down.The movie isn't scary and just uncomfortable.

Wonderfully Stupid
Is it a masterpiece? No.But was it the perfect comedy to unwind on a Sunday evening? Absolutely.
Iâm not a big horror person, but I love objectively silly zombie films âShaun of the Deadâ and âwarm bodiesâ; there were parts in this movie that reminded me of both, so I was sold. If you like these movies and Korean media, I think youâll like this one. I watched it on Amazon prime uk, which it is free on at the time of writing this, under the regional name of âzombie for saleâ rather than the one listed here.
I saw a clip of it online that made me laugh, and Iâm glad it made me watch. The ending was perfect. Definitely give it a chance if youâre not sure what to watch this evening.

Pretty ocean and then ...
Well, I did not really want to watch this but it somehow popped up on my viki search so I decided to give it a go since it is so short!I do not regret watching this though I would not go as far as recommending this either!
What I liked:
- beautiful shots of the winter sea and beaches covered in snow
- Han Gi Chan who plays Ba Da (ocean) a shy & innocent fool of a chef
- surprisingly good chemistry between the leads
- udon! I want some! Now!
- short episodes edited together into a movie (what's with Koreans and 10min episodes bls?)
- music; there are a couple of really nice songs
- the title
What I did not like:
- director who seemed to have high school level skills: it was all over the place!
- Holland who can't act (but sings beautifully)
- the annoying girl and the even more annoying kids (why do Koreans treat all the children as little emperors? Low natality issue?)
- unnecessary time skip
- ugly poster
Ba Da a skilled chef comes to a seaside town in order to recover from a bad breakup. He opens a udon restaurant on the beachfront but is unsuccessful until Tommy comes to his rescue. A month later BaDa's ex shows up creating a bit of drama.
Ocean Likes Me had a lot of potential which was not realized. The best is Han Gi Chan! He is handsome, talented and charismatic and I wish he would get bigger and better roles outside BL as well!

One last dance <3
First of all, this movie needs to be separated from the drama. Itâs not a continuation, the filmâs inspired/adapted from it. Nonetheless, they managed to create another masterpiece thatâll be another great hit. When I first finished watching the series, I fell into a rabbit hole and couldnât get out. I kept watching the bts and all the stuff I could find. It took some time to finally be able to get out lol.I had the opportunity to see this in Taiwan hehe. It has all the surprise elements and keeps you on your toes. Although itâs a fantasy plot, the characters are extremely detailed and makes it all feel real. The story feels like youâre playing connect the dots, clues will be given, but youâll not realize it after everythingâs revealed, and your mindâs blown off to the moon lmao. All your attention is needed (like the series) and pls donât blink as youâll miss important stuff lol. Acting is amazing as ever as we already know :)
Donât get me started on the music. I have downloaded every single song, itâs soo good!! It contains many that were used before but they added 3 new ones (I think) and theyâre great. Theyâre all available on Spotify.
Now I wanna rewatch the series again though I already watched it 2 times haha. This movie is a rly good closure and the best way to say goodbye. Like the drama, itâs a film Iâll remember and cherish foreverâŚ

For those who know the book or watched the series, they can make some connections, but those who don't, see just a bunch of disconnected scenes. Obviously, it is not possible to present all the details of a book in a series, still less, in a film. The screenwriter of a film has to prioritize the best parts of the book, however, he must maintain a sequence that synthesizes the logic of the plot. The screenwriter chose random scenes and hindered the understanding of the plot.
The director started by making a mistake in choosing the female lead, as the actress has no facial expression and her voice is just the reading of a text without any feeling. He chose a sequence of scenes for editing that made the film nonsensical. The special effects are a roller coaster ride, some good and some bordering on 'special defects'.
The performances are poor. Yang Yang was all smiles and charm, but he had no one to play with. There was not the slightest chemistry between him and the female lead, so, as much as he had emotions expressed in his face, the scene was not round, as there was no cooperation from the other party.
The costumes were well crafted and pleasing to the eye.
The soundtrack chosen was well below expectations.
