This was the most realistic drama i’ve watched even with just 2 EP released

The drama was so good. The acting, the dialogue, the casting, the delivery of each emotions even with micro-expressions. I loveeeeee it. The story is being served at a right pace. It is fun to watch. I think this series and the perfect casts makes others jealous, i just know that this series will be successful not only in the queer community but the general audience. The director made a good decision on how to deliver the story from the novel to a series without making it so explicit but at the same time not far from the original. This will make the general audience tune in.

Great ML and cool premise/concept but wasted on corny acting from certain cast members.

Writing this in 2026 might not seem fair, but this drama aged terribly. I love games and I watched this show because I love the premise, and I think the story delivered. There were a lot of sweet moments but the acting from the female cast is quite terrible which breaks my immersion. Both Zheng Shuang and Mao Xiao Tong are gorgeous, but Yang yang's passionate kisses are totally wasted on Zheng Shuang given that she acts with the open eye shock and zero response during their alone-scenes.
The wardrobe team also doesn't do a great job but I will not fault them on this since fashion and drama style changes.
Production quality is pretty ok, and cinematography is a pass. The acting at times are sometimes over the top (especially from the females), and it's a bit cheesy and corny to watch since no one in real live acts like this.

From a pacing perspective, the earlier episodes were more interesting and the last 10 were a drag, I watched them in 1.5x speed. Not interesting and no story.

This is a personal take, but I also was quite uncomfortable with how emaciated the FL looks :(

It's hard to give this drama more than a 7. I found myself struggling to get past the next 10 eps. I still think the pacing and plot is not too bad, but this has unfortunately not aged well for a 2026 watch.

One of Those Rare Dramas..

I started watching this with zero expectations, and it completely delivered. Every episode kept me hooked. I was so curious to see their relationship grow, and I found myself constantly thinking about what life must have been like back then and trying to understand things from their perspective. That's how well-written the characters are.
At first, I thought it would be about a court lady falling in love with the king, but as the story unfolds, it feels much more like the king's story and everything he had to endure.
The moment that dream scene happened for the second time absolutely blew my mind. And the way the show ends makes everything click into place.
This is such a beautiful drama, and it's officially joined my list of shows I wish I could erase from my memory just so I could experience it for the first time all over again. ✨

Musical Noona Romance Hits Some Good Notes

The couple met in an e-game which allowed for fantasy locations, fun visuals (leaping from a building in formal dress into pastel balloons), and wardrobe. This, and the music angle (the FL was a singer), differentiated Love Scenery from other romance dramas.

The cast was good. I liked the leads; they had chemistry when the script allowed, and I enjoyed their interactions. If all the ML's friends were supposed to be irritating idiots, the actors did their job superbly. The FL had an irritating idiot of an assistant; the actress played her part well, as I cringed every time she opened her mouth. The secondary romance was a trial to get through: a persistent stalker and a woman who stopped living meaningfully because of betrayal. I don't have much patience for either of those, so their screen time was something of an endurance test, and it went on seemingly forever.

It was a relief all the parents and grandparents were supportive of the older woman celebrity/younger man college student romance. One trope averted! The OST was enjoyable. And I liked the cat and dog. That cat looked like she was living her best life. So often in dramas, cats looked stressed and unhappy.

Recommended for those who don't mind the ML and FL almost connecting but missing one another for about the first ten episodes. It's not a slow burn—it's a never-ignited romance for too long. Once again, I'll remind the reader that I am missing a strong romance gene, and MDL's rating of 8.3 shows that many would disagree with my assessment that this is an average drama.

I've added a half star for the cat's obvious enjoyment of being cuddled and for Lin Yi's crooked little fingers (my husband's fingers are crooked, too).

SUKAAA

Teach You a Lesson wajib masuk watchlist lu!

A Page-Turning Kdrama that You Can't Put Down

It's a Kdrama that's delivered like a thrilling, page-turning, can't-put-down novel.

Take one dull, burnt-out college professor with a selfish, self-serving, carmudgeonly personality who teaches Writing to college students who could care less, can barely write, and he makes sure they know this....add in a college student who can write which catches the eye of said-professor, mix these two together with a story rife with plot twists and turns, betrayal, possible murder, revenge, and you've got the makings of an excellent drama.

This will take you on a wild ride while you are hanging on the edge of your seat only to be left with "to be continued" at the end of the episode that you vowed would be the last as its way past bedtime, but your mind keeps saying, "One more episode...one more episode."

One thing that especially stood out was the art on the wall in the restaurant scene. Purposely placed as a part of the storyline being played out. I thought this was brilliant.

Another LingOrm Masterpiece

In Love Forever is honestly such an enjoyable watch from start to finish. Everything feels so well made, from the production quality to the directing. You can really see the amount of care and effort that went into every detail.

The entire cast did an amazing job, but LingLing Kwong as Runch and Orm Kornnaphat as Neen were definitely the standouts for me. Their chemistry is as amazing as ever, and they portray their characters so naturally that it’s impossible not to get invested in Runch and Neen’s story.

I also loved the dynamic between Neen and Kingkamol. The mother-in-law and daughter-in-law clashes were so entertaining and added a lot of humor and charm to the series. Their interactions made every scene even more enjoyable to watch.

The flashback scene in the post-credits was such a beautiful touch as well. It added so much more depth to the story and perfectly showed how deeply Runch and Neen loved each other before everything happened. It made the emotional moments hit even harder.

Overall, In Love Forever, LingOrm’s third series, delivers on every aspect: production, direction, storytelling, and acting. It’s heartwarming, emotional, and incredibly enjoyable to watch.

A solid 10/10. 💖

Not a 10/10

To be honest, a 10 out of 10 rating is not enough because this series exceeds everything I expected. If you ask me what one word can describe this show, I can only say ✨perfection✨. The acting is outstanding, and even the other cast members perform their parts so well. The costumes, the lighting, and every detail of the series are just right. Great work to all the actors, crew, and director. It is only just beginning, but I am already fully invested, along with most viewers. I cannot wait for the next episodes 💜💜💜

DIFFERS FROM THE ORIGINAL WORK. WORKS GREAT AS A STAND ALONE!

Objectively this is a really nice drama to pass time however base on the original work/ source material it’s falling flat to most viewers who has seen the original.

I cannot directly speak in regards to that or make the comparison since I’ve yet to see the anime; however in my personal opinion I believe that though it differs a lot from the original work, People should give it a watch as a standalone.

It seems some scenes were cut due to copyright. But i strongly believe outside of that, the acting is solid, there’s chemistry between the leads and the comedy is on point. The politics aspect is just a tad bit draggy but nothing too bad.

Final verdict, if you’ve seen the original work and go in expecting a “live adaptation” then you’ll probably be disappointed. However if you’re able to treat this as a stand alone show then there’s a high chance you may enjoy this a bit. In my opinion it’s not very heavy and all the different parts are balanced enough to me. We also have a side couple that also has a funny dynamic.

Not that much of a story

Story
•Affair drama more on revenge and identity change such as plastic surgery
•The main character got what she wants and deserves. The antagonist was punished in the end and the ending was unexpected.
•Makjang elements but some of them are questionable.

Acting / Cast
•Visuals are good
•Hori Miona’s first main lead in a drama like this is amazing and good acting skills. She should do more main lead in revenge dramas but not affair drama.
•Ishikawa Ren she has the visual but villain role doesn’t suit her. I can’t help but laugh at her every time she does silly things. Sorry but I cannot hate her she is only suitable in main lead role because she has a face of a classic heroine. Don’t make her villain anymore because it’s 100% fail

Comment:
This drama should be adapted to Korean drama.

How to turn a biting satire into a farcical pipe dream

Edit: Upon reflection I realise I got more and more snarky as I wrote this. You have been warned. ;)

Paraphrasing Mel Brooks, "satire must walk a fine line and take risk". This drama took that to heart in the first half.

It was packed with absurd moments that genuinely made me LoL. I binged a dozen eps in 2 days. Then the rest happened.

The initial setup was simple and delicious. An angel investor will provide the ML with funds to go into business. The twist is that he will only earn a stipend if he makes a profit, but he can take home a portion of the loss as bonus.

So he came up with a bunch of silly loss making ideas and go hard. What he didn't take into account is his anti-trend products started new trends. People love his generous, loss making deals rather than the usual money grabbing ones.

His collection of seemingly hapless, "unemployable" staff are talented and they repay his kindness and trust with an undying loyalty.

So far so good. The first half is deliciously anti-establishment and sets a cracking pace. The whole 996, nay, crunch work culture is laid bare. His cohort of goofballs are more creative and productive in a 40 hours week than those salaried slaves. Huzzah!

The wheels start to fall off when the original and whacky projects start to run dry. The show shifts focus onto the ML and his personal challenges in the second half.

It is obvious from the start that he is not a business wunderkind. He is earnest and hardworking. He has a heart of gold and he put fairness above all else. This means he is a lamb to the slaughter in the cutthroat business world. By focusing on him for several eps, it really pops the bubble that he has the Midas touch.

This also brought the high flying plot back down to Earth. We crash lands with a thud in midst of mundane stuff like making ends meet and paying off a big mortgage. The satire has lost its edge and became a blunt instrument.

Is this some kind of hidden chapter in the playbook? We are talking about an industry that gave us xianxia and wuxia dramas! What is this obsession with RL and the daily grind?

There are many plotholes by this stage, but the whole subplot about the ML working in a rival company is plain stupid. How can this work? Non-disclosure? Trade secrets? It might have worked if they frame it as a clever subterfuge, but alas, the ML is really trying to work there and earn a honest wage. It would be like Elon showing up as an intern at Toyota. Inconceivable!

For me, this series truly jumped the shark when it parachuted the 4 Sima brothers into the plot. Ye gods! That is so cringey and largely pointless. The show is now an aimless farce. Not a particularly funny one either. Just give me a psycho stalker, tyvm.

To seal the deal, the show totally stuffed up the OTP's romance.

The two female screenwriters made it clear who is the OTP from the start. They have been set up many times. Their coworkers are shipping them. Web novel has been written about their "office romance". Yet it all comes to nought.

Seriously, I would have forgiven half of this show's sins if there is even a spark. Why bother if we don't even get one confession. One hug? NOTHING.

As if to rub salt into the wound, people were teasing the FL in a staff meeting towards the end. She said "if I'm the female lead then who is the male lead?" The ML walks in on cue . . of course. I wish you can hear my teeth gnashing.

Do you know what really got my goat? There is more chemistry between two female co-workers than the OTP! I'll let you guess the pairing.

The HEA ending happened right on time. It is totally expected, yet nonsensical. How did the ML come up with enough funding to restart a whole business empire by selling just ONE unrenovated flat with a substantial mortgage. Does the writers not understand the concept of discharging a loan?

Then the business went ballistic while he is on an extended holiday? I missed the memo telling us the how and the why (or maybe I don't care anymore).

Normally, this is where I would use my "ask no questions, chingu" catchphrase, but I'm sick of not asking questions while watching this series. I want answers, dammit!

The final scenes are like a glossy real estate sales brochure and has about as much substance. It really is like a pipe dream. I don't know whether I'm angry, sad, confused or just numb.

Balanced against that are decent performances from the large ensemble. They are mostly second tier actors. Sadly, most of the roles are one dimensional. They played hard, but in a small sandbox.

The ML has the world on his shoulders and it shows. He was a live wire early on, but he just got more and more despondent as the show progressed.

We know his growth must be a pillar of this drama, yet it feels inconsistent. He shuffles back and fore. He stays true to his better qualities, but did he becomes better where it counts?

Production value is A tier. OST is inoffensive.

In the end, I'm torn about this show. This series is watchable. The show can be very funny at times and it has merits. It can be sharp as a pin and give you paper cuts. Then it settles into a hyperbolic business drama and ends on an artificial sweetener high.

I am disappointed that it couldn't sustain its initial trajectory to the end. Maybe 26 eps is a bridge too far. Mayhaps 16 eps will keep it tight and focused. Alas, that answer awaits in an alternate universe. Peace.
