Ticket to Heaven is one of the most emotionally powerful BLs I've watched. It doesn't rely on typical romance tropes instead, it tells a deeply personal story about faith, identity, grief, and love. The relationship between Tanrak and Barth develops naturally, making every emotional moment feel genuine and meaningful.Gemini and Fourth deliver some of their strongest performances to date. Their chemistry is subtle yet incredibly moving, and they capture the characters' inner conflicts with remarkable depth.
What impressed me most is how the series handles difficult themes with care. Rather than presenting simple answers, it explores the struggle between personal beliefs and the courage to accept yourself. It's a story that stays with you long after the final episode.
Ticket to Heaven isn't just another BL—it's a beautifully crafted coming-of-age drama that happens to center on a queer love story. It's thoughtful, heartbreaking, hopeful, and easily one of the standout BL series of the year.

Brought to you by the Korean Liquor Industry
This BL was one of those cute stories. It definitely wasn’t rushed, and while it didn’t have too many intriguing moments, it honestly felt like an 8‑episode alcohol advertisement disguised as a BL serie.I enjoyed their chemistry, they looked good together, but the kiss scenes were anything but real. Where was the passion? What really bothered me was how poorly constructed and inconsistent the plot was, It seemed to want to be a food drama, but the food aspect wasn’t enough to compensate the huge promotion of alcoholic beverages. Ji Yu and his friend needs to be sent to AA lol
Overall, it was pretty enjoyable, even though the whole thing felt like a liquor ad.
What I Liked
*Story simplicity: Easy to follow, not overloaded with unnecessary drama.
*Pacing: The progression from strangers to lovers felt natural, not rushed, not dragged out.
*Food and culture: I love BLs that showcase their country’s culture and cuisine, and this one had plenty of that, but unfortunately offset by the alcohol thing.
*Attractive cast: Good‑looking leads, and Korea never disappoints in this department.
*Soft humor: Light jokes sprinkled throughout made it worth watching.
What I Did Not Like
*Alcohol‑heavy script: It felt like a 8 chapters long alcohol ad. Ji Yu and his friend seemed to need drinks with every meal, which came across as extremely unhealthy and unnecessary to promote.
*Inconsistency: Tried to be food‑themed but failed to deliver.
*Weak ending: Beginnings and endings matter most, and this series dropped the ball on both. The start was confusing, and the ending was way too flat.
Did I regret watching it? Not at all.
Would I watch it again? Nope. The alcohol vibe killed the rewatch value for me.

Hands down the best GL of 2026
If you want some nice RomCom GL, this is a must-watch. I usually dislike Thai romcom because they can be quite cringe but this one is a real solid 10/10 on acting, production, good storyline, visually appealing.JanJingJing acting are really really good and believable, they have embodied their characters so well. You can feel that you've entered their world. Super cute and fun that you just want more and more! The OST is so GOOOOOOD! It's super fitting and addicting that you really going to enjoy it a lot especially after you see their performance.

The series of the year
Without spoilers, all I need to say after having finished the series is that it is a masterpiece. From the amazing soundtrack, having five great original songs, to the acting being phenomenal, the story handling important topics the way they should be handled, the way it shows a real- life relationship that is so relatable, and lastly, the undeniable chemistry between Jan and JingJing... That is it, that is the review. I do not need to say much because the series speaks on its own. Simply put, it would be the definition of perfection if perfection existed. I do not want to spoil stuff about the story, but I do need to mention how beautiful, emotional, and pure Lal's and Wine's relationship is. The way you can notice in their eyes how much they love and care for each other, the fact that they are both mature enough to realize when they have made mistakes, and therefore apologize to each other, the way they always try to communicate, and the fact that their love for each other was never the problem, it was the outside world that, with their misoginy ended up making it harder for them to be together, but them fighting through it and choosing themselves and each other in the end, is what makes this series so spectacular. Was this review helpful to you?
TIDE OF LOVE S2 - REVIEW
Story: Tide of Love Season 2 delivers a slight improvement over its predecessor by providing long-awaited context for Haejun's past and explaining why he resorted to contractual relationships. This added layer of character development gave the story more emotional grounding and addressed one of Season 1's biggest shortcomings. However, despite this improvement, the overall narrative still lacked the depth needed to be truly compelling. Several storylines felt incomplete, most notably the unresolved situation involving Jaehun's mother and the strained relationship between them, which had the potential to add greater emotional weight but was left largely unexplored. The introduction of new characters brought a fresh dynamic to the series, yet they were not developed enough to leave a lasting impression or significantly strengthen the plot.
One aspect that noticeably elevated the season was its visual setting. Filming during the winter season added a refreshing atmosphere and gave the series a more cinematic feel. The snowy landscapes and outdoor locations provided welcome variety, moving beyond the repetitive indoor settings of the decorated house and sake bar that dominated the first season. While Season 2 offered more context and a more appealing visual backdrop, its underdeveloped subplots and lack of narrative impact ultimately prevented it from reaching its full potential.
Acting/Cast: The acting in Tide of Love Season 2 remained a mixed but generally solid aspect of the series. Jung Myeong Cheol once again delivered the stronger performance, fully committing to his character's emotional complexity and domineering personality. His most impressive asset was his expressive eyes, which conveyed vulnerability, anger, longing, and affection with remarkable conviction. Even in quieter scenes, he was able to communicate emotions that elevated the material beyond what was written on the page.
In contrast, Kim Hyeon Seo's performance continued to feel restrained. While his reserved demeanor suited certain moments, there were several emotionally charged scenes where a stronger reaction was needed. During confrontations—particularly when his character was berated and humiliated by Myeong Cheol's character—his responses often came across as too passive or emotionally detached. Instead of matching the intensity of the moment, his performance felt understated to the point of diminishing the dramatic impact.
The supporting cast also delivered uneven performances. One of the new characters convincingly embraced the antagonist role with enough presence to make the conflict engaging, while another struggled to bring emotional depth to the role, resulting in monologues that felt flat and lacked the necessary intensity.
Despite these inconsistencies, the season concluded on a high note. The final episode, where the two leads openly expressed their love for one another, showcased some of the strongest acting in the series. It was a heartfelt and emotionally satisfying conclusion that highlighted the chemistry between the protagonists and provided a beautiful ending to an otherwise average series.
Music: The soundtrack in Tide of Love Season 2 effectively embraced its winter setting, with its Christmas-inspired music adding warmth and charm to many of the scenes. The festive melodies complemented the seasonal atmosphere beautifully, creating a sense of nostalgia and evoking the comforting feeling of spending time with loved ones during the holidays. This musical direction helped distinguish the second season from its predecessor and enhanced its overall ambiance.
However, the soundtrack remained inconsistent in its execution. While the holiday-themed tracks were a welcome addition, some of the background music still felt forced or misplaced, occasionally overpowering scenes instead of naturally complementing them. In several moments, the music failed to match the emotional tone, making certain sequences feel less impactful than intended.
Overall, the soundtrack successfully captured the spirit of the season and elevated the visual experience, but its occasional misuse prevented it from becoming a truly memorable aspect of the series.
Rewatch Value: Tide of Love Season 2 has a higher rewatch value than the first season, but it's still not a series I'd revisit in its entirety. There are several scenes I'd likely skip because they feel mediocre, overly contrived, or fail to add much to the overall narrative. The inconsistent pacing and underdeveloped subplots make a full rewatch less engaging than it could have been.
That said, the final episode is absolutely worth revisiting. The heartfelt confession and emotional resolution between the two leads deliver the romantic payoff the series had been building toward, making it the season's strongest and most memorable chapter. It's the one episode that genuinely captures the butterflies and emotional satisfaction expected from a romance.
Overall, I prefer Season 2 over Season 1 because of its improved storytelling, stronger emotional moments, and more polished presentation. However, despite these improvements, the series as a whole still lacks the narrative consistency and emotional grip needed to make every episode an easy or compelling rewatch.

A Masterclass in Crime, Suspense and Bromance That Had Me Hooked
Sometimes a 20 minute episode can be far more powerful than an hour long one, and Cases Between Us proves exactly that.Set during China's Republican era, the story follows Zhao Shao Shang, a young man with a deep appreciation for traditional culture, who unexpectedly teams up with the talented police officer Yuan Hong. Coming from completely different worlds, the two constantly bicker and clash, but as they investigate a series of mysterious murder cases, they slowly develop an unbreakable partnership. With political unrest growing around them, every investigation pushes them closer to dangerous truths while testing their courage, loyalty, and sense of justice.
The bromance between the two male leads, Zilu as Zhao Shao Shang and Si Chao as Yuan Hong, is absolutely perfect. Their chemistry feels natural, their banter is entertaining, and their contrasting personalities make every scene together enjoyable. They are true polar opposites, but that's exactly what makes their teamwork so satisfying to watch.
I love crime, detective, murder mystery, and investigation dramas, and this series delivers everything I look for. Every episode is thrilling, suspenseful, and keeps the tension high from beginning to end. The storytelling is well paced, the mysteries are engaging, the acting is excellent, and the soundtrack adds even more intensity to every investigation. Chinese dramas have a way of pulling you into their world, and this one had me hooked from the very first episode.
I'm currently 11 episodes in with 25 more to go, and so far this is easily one of my favourite dramas of the year. If the remaining episodes maintain this quality, I can already see this becoming one of my favourite bromance crime dramas ever.

the GOAT
When I watched this for the first time it was released that opening scene blew me away. was I watching a Japanese movie by Kurosawa? the cinematography was way ahead of its time, the scenery in Quebec made so many people visit the location, and the music. The OST is the GOAT! It may have been copied but never overshadowed. it’s one of the series I do rewatch just to reminisce. The acting and the romance wants to pull you into their story, though one thinks how a Goblin could truly fall in love with a mortal being but the romance blooms. And the supporting actors played their roles so well I never looked at death the same way.

35 Episodes In, Then It Panicked
The First Jasmine is like a song with a great hook. It has captivating verses, a pre-chorus that builds anticipation, but right when it should hit a crescendo, it crashes into awkward silence instead. That silence outweighs the rest of the brilliance. To be clear: beyond vague character outlines and names, the drama has no relation to the novel. It borrows the concept, then carves its own path. Fair enough; the novel would need 100-200 episodes to do justice, and 40 isn't doing anything. If you've read the novel first, forget it. If you plan to read it after, just treat it as a different story.
Strengths
Performances, visuals, music, costumes, production - all strong.
Bai Lu makes Ye Li intriguing in her usual effortless style - artless scheming, cleverness, vulnerability, will to survive. She's pretty to begin with; the costumes just make her prettier.
Chang Lei plays Prince Ding Mo Xiuyao, and I'm slowly becoming obsessed with his performances. I went in expecting the larger-than-life Xiuyao from the book, so it was hard at first to reconcile him with this depressed, beaten-down version. But once I got past that, his understated Prince Ding held my interest like a marching band. Depression, hopelessness, careful hope, steadfastness, quiet love, all beautifully done. Shout out to his voice actor too; that deliberate tone adds real depth.
Supporting cast does a decent job. Visuals and music are a treat throughout.
Relationships between women: healthy. No other word. No catty fights over the hero. Stepmother, sister-in-law, step-sisters.. all handled with maturity. It's heartening to see mature female characters actually act mature.
Weaknesses
The last 5-6 episodes. OMG. Once the Lishan mystery resolves, the show has nowhere to go, but still needs 40 episodes, so it hits every costume-drama cliché: coup, spitting blood, gravity-defying jumps, a closing scene for everyone (even if you don’t care about some of them), forced sympathy-backstories for the villains. Check, check, check.
The narrative loses its grip. At the climax, we get a prolonged fight between villains and random extras and some NPCs, while the actual hero/villain showdown lasts 5.25 seconds. Why put Chang Lei in a full suit of armor if he's not going to fight?
Some suspension of disbelief needed too. A few too many "why does that happen" moments the drama can't answer since it insists on ignoring the book.
And the lovesick-puppy energy of the SML - yikes.
The two dowagers cause a mountain of grief with barely any consequences. My bloodthirstiness needed a better outlet. Didn't get it.
Overall
Overall, it's a good drama that forgot it was a drama for the last five episodes. Watch it, love it, and then gaslight yourself into forgetting the finale ever happened.

Expected more....But got Disappointed
I would say this is the Series that everyone, not only FreenBecky fans waited for. I expected a lot for this, not just because of the cast, but mainly because of the story line as well as it is the 3rd series of the 4 Elements. I found Rebecca as a real world princess, God man! She herself looks like a princess, but for Freen, I must say she looks slay in the bodyguard look and her cloths are Fine as Wine, but something still stops me from accepting that she is not the right one for this role. I couldn't feel the Strong Famine with her, this is a series where the main lead must look strong but her fights and gun fights seems so dull without any range of power pack actions. I even felt like romance were being forces between them. I expect Lom to be more strong especially for this role, but all I got is disappointment, I thought I am the one, but I could hear from lots of people about the flaws, review and ratings are fine, but apart from Earth, Water and Fire...We all know Air is the most awaited one, but surprisingly I found Earth and Water more engaging and good to watch.I'm completely okay with Becky's role, but had a huge disappointment on Freen, the cousins I'll never blame them, the way Rose looks mature, Din's down bad nature for wife, Lada's glow insane glow after her marriage and Nam being focused on only her wife and work made me enjoy those scenes, tbh I loved watching them as a married couple more than focusing on the main leads. One thing I'm still enjoying is Fai's relationship with her cousin, I loved her in every elements, here too the way she gave her Heart and Soul to help Lom is beyond Everything.
If anyone want's too see the Air, give it a try but I won't suggest it for the re-watch thing, as Air is Kinda bore in my knowledge, but you will all love The Earth and Water...both the Cousins are hell Green Forest and do watch Fire, cuz apart from all her cousins she's gonna fall harder for her wify a lot😂😂

Great actors just a bad storyline
Obviously they were some issues with how the story was told behind the scenes. I wish they would kept the leads married once they divorced went downhill i do like strong female cast. The love triangle was not needed. The ending made no sense i honestly only gave this drama a chance cause of deng wei. I give actors props they all did great with a horrible storyline the actors deserved better. both couples had chemistry in the drama . I would not recommend this drama the storyline is too all over the place just make you annoyed dont waste your time. Was this review helpful to you?

Best 2026 drama for me
I haven't done a proper review in so long. Couldn't get myself to finish a lot of series this year , but this one got me hooked !!! I am glad i finished it before coming here to see the rating because let me tell you THIS IS A MASTERPIECE (BUT WITH SOME GLARING FLAWS) the female lead is a complete chess player , she is always wise and 10 times ahead of her enemies ..despite her being always ahead it happens that some things are out of her control or some variable changes the plan which made to an interesting and tense watching! It all begins with the fl being betrayed by lover turned emperor who uses her then kills her along with her dad.. After achieving his goal of securing and stabilizing his regency. She then goes back in time with revenge in mind and tho goes a long journey of mental and physical battles. I loved the chemistry between the FL and ml ... The way she looked at him as if she truly desired him and their mutual and unconditional trust in each other .. My only qualms with the pair is the skinship scenes who were far too tame (i wonder if its because of censorship) . like you would have a very intense staring in the eyes scene then you would have a peck or a proper kiss with a zoom out . Also the fl in my opinion has chemistry with all three of the men mr.deng , mr xie and our beautiful ml yanlai so i would like to see her with any of the other actors in another drama too. so if you are here expecting a full on romance .. You might get disappointed this is a revenge story with some romance (more than "the double" tho) what i mean is its there but it not the sole focus. Everything about this drama is a 10 but there was one or two episode in the middle where i almost dropped the drama. there were scenes where the leads couldn't quite sell an emotional or angry scene instead the fl looked like a spoiled brat ..thankfully tho once you get through these couple of episodes the drama picks up the good stuff and finishes it with a bang . a very solid 9 and i would absolutely rewatch ! Seeing this drama at 7.8 is again honestly such a joke ..no wonder i cant take this site seriously . like seriously ?!?! This is at the very least a 8.5 let alone 7.8 . anyway i am glad i picked it up because the red of the poster reminded me of my all time favorite Chinese drama "the double"Was this review helpful to you?
