The Beginning of Nunew & Zee's pairing and a Plea for LGBT Marriage

A year ago, Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia to legalize same-sex marriage, thanks in part to the influence of TV series :) It was still a battle to be fought in 2022 when this drama aired.

PLOT: Lian, a serious and strict businessman, has been engaged since childhood to Kuea, an overprotected child from an aristocratic family. When Kuea returns to Thailand, he puts on a facade of being the perfect fiancé for Lian. Convinced that Lian doesn't love him, Kuea wants to break off the engagement. Lian eventually takes him under his wing and tries to break down the facade.
Second romance: Hia Yi - Kondhia (for me, uninteresting). Third romance among the students: Syn - Nuer (quite funny but underdeveloped).

+++ The Nunew/Zee CL is fantastic, with great chemistry (they're a couple in real life and it shows) (´ ▽｀).。ｏ♡
The OSTs sung by Nunew are excellent.
+++ Good plea for the LGBT+ cause
+++ The initial context is a bit "twisted" (fans have to be forgiving) but well-developed, with a supportive family environment. The story is fairly coherent and the production quality is good.

### Misunderstandings and lies that go on for WAY too long, it's frustrating!!

=> Good BL, now I'm going to watch the other BLs featuring the Nunew/Zee couple :)

Il y a un an, la Thailande devenait le 1e pays d'Asie du Sud-Est à légaliser le mariage pour tous, en partie grâce à l'influence des séries :)
C'était encore un combat à mener en 2022 qd ce drama a été diffusé.

PLOT: Lian, hommes d'affaires sérieux et strict, est fiancé depuis l'enfance à Kuea, gamin surprotégé d'1 famille aristocratique. Qd Kuea revient en Thailande, il érige une façade de fiancé parfait pour Lian. Persuadé que Lian ne l'aime pas, Kuea veut annuler les fiançailles. Lian le prend finalement sous son aile et essaie de casser la façade.
2nde romance Hia Yi - Kondhia (pr moi, sans intérêt). 3e romance parmi les étudiants Syn - Nuer (assez drôle mais peu dvlpée).

+++ Le CL Nunew/Zee est fantastique, avec une belle alchimie (en couple IRL et ça se voit) (´ ▽｀).。ｏ♡
Les OSTs chantées par Nunew sont excellentes.
+++ Bon plaidoyer pr la cause LGBT+
+++ Contexte de départ un peu "tordu" (il faut être indulgent) mais bien exploité, avec un contexte familial favorable. Story à peu près cohérente et réalis° de qualité.

### Malentendus et mensonges qui durent TROP longtps, c'est frustrant !!

Well crafted, sweet and steady romance

I truly recommend this drama — give it a try. It’s high quality, very well written, and you can feel that every step of the story was carefully thought out. Nothing feels rushed or dragged; everything flows naturally.
It’s sweet, with many cute and tender moments, but still mature and balanced. There are no stupid misunderstandings, no unnecessary overreactions, and nothing shocking just to surprise the audience. The emotional tone stays steady and sincere throughout.
The couples are special and unique in their interactions. Each relationship brings something different to the story, adding diversity and depth rather than feeling like filler. Their dynamics feel distinct and thoughtfully developed.
I didn’t skip a single scene, which is rare for me. It’s the kind of romance I would gladly rewatch anytime — comforting, well-crafted, and genuinely heartfelt.

So anoyed!

I was so anoyed the first 3 episodes of this drama by Ha Ram who just can't take no for an answer and kept invading the personal space of I Jun and kept touching him without permission. I was very surprised I Jun let everything just happen and didn't really do anything against it..
And it was so unlogical that in episode 3, I Jun hated Ha Ram at the beginning of the day, but on the same day willingly end up in bed with him... and be completely in love the next day..
Then his ex comes in the picture and he stops communicating wit Ha Ram and hire his ex?
Sorry, but this whole script is just a big mess.

The visuals and the music are beautiful and the acting was good too.
There was a bit chemistry and the kisses were ok, but not great.

Overall i didn't compltely hated it, there were good parts, so it won't be a commplete waste of your time to watch this, but be prepared to be anoyed.

The Need for Compassion

The first time Gil Gu came across the Seon Ji's early morning devilish persona; I got a bit scared and don't want to continue. I really do not like watching horror movies, so I stopped.

After a few months, I tried again. This time with a hope of redemption for the Seon Ji. And this movie gave me that.
Korean dramas reflect their culture - if not about shamans, or demons, then it is about reincarnation or bodily possession. The last is what it is. Just like Gil Gu, there is a belief that she might be possessed by a demon, yet as she conversed with him, there seems to be some logic. Demons do not negotiate or just possess a person for a certain time.

As Seon Ji learns to trust Gil Gu, the crazy part of Seon Ji revealed her past. Seon Ji may not have the memory of Moon's possession, but with Gil Gu, Moon found someone who help her be at peace. Gil Gu's compassion touched Moon.

I like how Gil Gu's character developed in this encounter with her. He started off afraid, but later on as he said he is a good listener, had compassion towards her. It was not exorcism that she needed. It was her peaceful abode. Gil Gu is such a gentle and kind person; however, he doesn't seem to have any direction in life. This sort of a job of watching over Seon Ji had shaped him and found his purpose

I applaud Yoon-A for doing two opposite characters in this movie. Ahn Bo Hyun is such a nice guy, and I think his real self is somehow reflected in Gil Gu. I am ok that the story didn't rush to make their character fall in love but gave us hope.

Would I watch this any time soon? maybe not as the whole story is still fresh in my mind. This movie is adorable.

Feels Real and Moving

Remembrance of Things Past is about three women who have just lost one of their best friends to suicide. From there, we follow their journey to move on and survive in the big city of Beijing, balancing their careers, friendships, and love lives.

I didn't expected it to be such a heavy watch. The early episodes deal with quite dark topics, but they're presented in a surprisingly light and gentle way. Overall, the drama takes a very realistic approach, which shows through its cinematography and natural camera movements.

The story itself is solid and highly relatable. The plot feels grounded in real life, with every character facing their own struggles and flaws. Their decisions all make sense and feel reasonable. The ending is great, it's honestly the best possible outcome for all of them.

The friendship chemistry among the women is oustanding, the bond is so warm and genuine. It's a truly heartwarming yet deeply relatable series.

Short but Impactful

To the Wonder follows Li Wenxiu as she returns to her hometown in the small city of Altay, on the border between China and Kazakhstan. There, she rediscovers life and figures out the dreams she truly wants to pursue.

What makes To the Wonder truly stand out is its breathtaking cinematography and rich cultural portrayal. The way they capture the beauty of northern Xinjiang's countryside is absolutely amazing. Mountains, rivers, forests, and summer ranch all look so pleasant to the eyes. The series also beautifully incorporates Kazakh culture and traditions, especially the nomadic lifestyle. Set in 2001, it really captures that authentic traditional vibe.

Beyond the visuals, the story is quite solid. We follow each character's decisions about their lives from chasing love, fighting for their dreams, navigating the tension between human emotions and tradition, and ultimately choosing their own best path. It's sometimes heartbreaking but also heartwarming. All the actors deliver strong, and heartfelt performances.

Overall, To the Wonder is a beautiful 8-episode miniseries. It's short but impactful. The feelings it leaves behind linger in your heart long after it ends.

Is It Really Worth It?

The Long Night follows a detective team in 2010 as they investigate a murder case that uncovers a much bigger cold case from the year 2000.

The drama presents three parallel timelines: the crime's origin in 2000, a determined group's attempt to reopen the case in 2003, and the present day (2010) when murder of one character from that earlier effort in 2003 happen. This non-linear structure peels back layers of the mystery one by one, keeping the suspense intense and make me hooked.

The core case is incredibly intriguing, and the storytelling builds curiosity perfectly. The script is solid, though some of the plot are unrealistic. Acting is top-notch all around, but it's a shame the woman detective gets so little screen time, her character could have been amazing with more development. Unfortunately, the finale feels rushed and wraps things up too quickly.

Overall, it's still worth to watch.

POLAR WARMTH

It was a beautiful reality show showing us:
- the struggles to get to Antarctica - it took them so many days waiting to fly
- the shortage of ingredients - almost end of the year and the resources are only brought once a year, where can you find fresh fruits and vegetables?
- the harsh weather - Antarctica is more unpredictable than our own weather system.
- the scientists and engineers who stayed a year to help this world a better place
- the different nations coming together for a common good, In Antarctica, no one owns the land. They work together, help each other, regardless of nationality. Even as the 37.8 crew served the Argentinians, Uruguayans and Chinese aside from their own, there are exchange of gifts as part of appreciating one another. This show is overflowing with much warmth and love.

This reality show hits home because the people they served missed home. By cooking for them, they are bringing them to what they miss the most. Beyond the food they tasted, they felt the love, the friendship and compassion. I believe these four celebrities came out changed, a better appreciate of life and the people who serve wholeheartedly.

I love that Suho made a particular song for this travel. As he was narrating about their experience walking on the snowing slopes, they were instructed to step where others stepped. I feel like this is philosophical in a way - others came there ahead of them, and they are following into their footsteps. It is a recognition of the other crews who came before them and contributed to science.

A Gripping yet Frustating Watch

Doubt is about a top profiler father who starts suspecting that his high school daughter might be involved in a mysterious murder case.

Doubt is quite slow paced, and the very dark lighting makes it really hard for me to watch sometimes. But aside from that, the case itself is super intriguing. The acting between the father and daughter is outstanding, and the tension between them is amazing.

At its core, the drama wants to show how deeply parents love their children and will go to any lengths to protect them even when they think the kids make serious mistakes. But the real message seems to be that the most important thing parents should do first is actually listen to and believe their own children.

NOT believable, but worth watching for lads

Cahoot’s most prominent use in series is crying, but scenarists are overdoing it.

And yes, this is mostly “nothing happens” type of series that was made for people who like the lads. SantaEarth was a big couple back in the day before the agencies switching has split them, so people have watched this just for the sake of the couple as there is not much else to the series.

I am not a turbo fan of anyone in any series, but I am watching BL for the lads in general (for stories we can go to Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Wired, Rome), so I got through this series anyway. Just seeing Santa here is bringing me pleasure.

The scenario, however, is the tired trope about, by all accounts, a straight lad that has all of a sudden turned gay (or bi) at the age that it too late for such discovery, so it is not that believable for the situation that this series has been showing.
