How much did Cha Mu-hui bribe her doctors?
‼️Major spoiler alert‼️It was honestly an amazing experience, I didn’t even realize I reached episode 10 by the time the flashback was done. However, in today’s episode of “Dramas Leaving Unnecessary Plotholes”, we have Cha Mu-hui’s psychiatrist’s malpractice case! But let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
The story line is great (although it was quite strange starting first episode with the plot from the tenth, not even the last episode, but maybe it couldn’t be helped, since most of the series is a flashback), the actors did a great job and even the kisses were quite lovely! I truly loved some of the kissing scenes (especially on the side pair).
Now, Mu-hui had her moments that gave me second hand embarrassment, but she played them along so nicely that I almost didn’t feel it. Now let’s get to my main point: how did this girl not get diagnosed?? I understand that they didn’t know where the hallucinations came from, but she showed both signs of dementia and multiple personalities disorder! And she got away with this by magically getting rid of the “hater in her head”? No doctor would believe that. Honestly, if they simply said “the doctors diagnosed her with PTSD (from the incident with her mom) and she managed to get better by visiting a psychiatrist a few times a month” it would’ve been perfect! More realistic, to say the least.
Now my second problem: her mom. She killed her husband’s brother, almost killed her daughter and got away with it? They wanted to say she lived? Fine. But did she not get caught, if everyone knew that she killed that man? Or did his family just help her get away from jail out of the goodness of their hearts? Maybe she got away from jail by being mentally ill? I could live with that as well, but then why isn’t she in a psych ward? And Mu-hui straight up went to see her? Where? How did it go? How was she, if she was not in a psych ward? Why add this whole situation if you’re not going to answer these questions? The only thing needed, when Ho-jin told Mu-hui the story was a “they caught your mom when she tried to run and shot her”.
Overall I loved it, glad it all worked out for everyone, although I would’ve loved someone for Hiro as well, but since he hasn’t gotten over Mu-hui, maybe it was better that way.
As a Translation student, this was a very funny little story to take my mind off exams, so I recommend you watch it 100%!!!

worth watching again
Its been awhile but went back to watch this. So worth it! The cast so young, and about to be future stars. Its so cinema verite, and sweet and honest. Drake deserves so much more. No wonder he left GMMTV. What GMMTV used to do in the early days before they became bloated, rich and all about their bottom line anus and gave up tellling good stories and all about skinship. And before they became the evil empire. Okay Last Twilight was their last real one.But lets not go there tonight. Sorry. They piss me off. But watch this and savor the early days ofBL. So sweet. And true.

A completely different show from what I expected
So basically, what I imagined how this show would be was as follows:FL is shooting a reality show with a Japanese actor and in order to understand each other ML has to translate. However, SML slowly falls in love with her and tries to swoon her over while ML has to watch. We did get a few scenes like that but I wanted more. Also I wanted the FL to be more swayed between the two men. I wanted Hiro to be bolder and clumsier to create funny moments and ML to be more tsundere but caring to catch FL’s attention. And I was hoping to see this kind of rom-com style in the form of an adventure across cultures.
Instead we got a psychological-romance 🤯 And no it was not done very well! Here are the reasons why I didn’t like it:
1. It irked me how a very serious mental health condition was treated in such a lighthearted, comedic way. It seriously gave me the ick! Well luckily they ended it well in the last episode, clarifying the reasons etc but throughout the whole drama I was just so confused and it was such a pain to watch.
2. The main couple’s banter was NOT CUTE NOR FUNNY! the constant push and pull was giving me so much unnecessary stress!!! In just ONE EPISODE they would go from fighting to making up and even promising to stay together and back to fighting and breaking up again!!!! I was so frustrated!!! People who find this romantic have a serious problem istg!
3. I didn’t understand why Hiro reacted so extremely negative towards Mu-hee, just because she didn’t know who he was 🙄
Other than his good looks his character was rather annoying…
4. Some scenes were SO CRINGE to me I was getting goosebumps 😖 For example when Hiro and Mu-hee were on a tv-show date in Canada and there was a musician playing music or sth and they were both acting “funny” but I was just getting second hand embarrassment it was so cringe how obviously fake it all was. There were some other scenes like that…
So basically the only things I liked about this drama were the beautiful travel locations that were filmed so beautifully, so props to the cinematographer, they literally saved this drama.
And I really liked the second couple a lot! They had much more chemistry than the main couple 🥲🥲🥲
This is it! I hope the rest of the upcoming netflix dramas will be better…

Watched it for JoongDunk.
First of all, aI loved how Dunk kept wearing them cropped tshirts throughout the series. Just the perfect cunty outfit for his shameless cocky character.Secondly loved the power bottom dynamic in FadelStyle. However, in KantBison it felt weird. Idk if it was because of Khao’s acting or expressions. It just felt forced or awkward most of the time. Their story was also so disappointing that I skipped most of it and yet didn’t miss anything important.
Now for the plot.. it was nice for the first few episodes. I loved the FadelStyle’s build up over the time and enjoyed Style’s shameless ass more than I thought I would. But it went downhill pretty quick because wtf? The villain didn’t get a bitter ending as she deserved and she makes a freaking comeback as well???. Plus two hitmen who killed countless people for living got 5 years prison time just cause one of their little boyfies had a video of the captain bribing the school. It’s insane like make it make sense gmmtv.
Idk why they’re wasting such good chemistry on these shitty ass scripts like ffs give them stories that are worth their chemistry. I’m just so angry and pissed at the ending of this series that I feel like I wasted so much time watching this when i could have watched something better.
Waste of potential. I really hope they get shows that could actually make good use of their talent.

The plot lines are complex . All casts are a great job . Especially Tan Song Yun she’s such an amazing actress.

It's so funny to me because I was literally just waxing poetic about the merits of J-dramas, and how they are capable of telling good stories while not being afforded the same budgets as blockbuster C and K dramas…But Bruh…
This show was straight CHEEKS.
I can barely think of anything I liked aside from some parts of the story and side characters.
FL was pretty likable, her tenacity and work ethic REALLY made her grow on me. BUT she's got terrible taste in men and friends and it's not funny.
I'm not exactly sure what was going on with her family either? How are y'all doing all that with a little girl doing homework at the bar???
ML was baffling. I think they were trying to make him a tortured soul with unwarranted self destructive tendencies… BUT his backstory is REALLY stupid if you think about it for 5 seconds, so it makes his spiraling behavior stupid too.
I liked the boxing bits tho, its like watching a sports anime but worse. I'm not that picky.
Cast was great and the music was alright. Cinematography was okay, nothing on screen ever made me open my eyes to see more.
I will never watch this again.

It's not that impressive.
Where to even start. Let start with the acting. I, unlike some of the others in their reviews actually think the acting is great. FL's acting is good however there is a BUT that I'll get to later. Also I really like the ML, I personally like him in other dramas too. So he does go back and forth between being nice and a psycho. However, lets put this into perspective. He has suffered a lot (per the story) therefor any human would have PTSD and angry problems. So I can see where he would be a bit unhinged. Especially since he technically didn't do anything wrong to the FL and she is an absolute B****. Her acting is great but gezz, I could not stand her.Lets get into the FL's role. She wants revenge, ok I get that, but she was kinda stupid about it. First she didn't have to treat the ML like trash, wasn't he also kinda of a victim? Why couldn't she see the big picture. She supposedly was doing everthing for her son but kinda sucked at it because she was stupid. Not to mention the fact the her son is the ML's son and she doesn't tell him, that alone is just cruel. She was just the villian in my option regardless. She wouldn't let the ML go but she wouldn't be honest with him either which is why in my option he acted like that. She led him on but was just mean to him. Also at first I felt sorry for the 2ML. He took in the FL when he didn't have too and claimed her child as his but she just used him. In no world does any person man or women stay with someone they truly love, just to be ignored and not get anything out of it. Personally she deserved everthing she got. I don't the whole thing. It was too unrealistic with the way the characters and the story was played out. However, i wound not recommended someone to not watch it. Again the acting was surprisingly good for a crap story line. Anyway that was my take to each their own.

Its not that good
Writing this review for the first time. Ive been hearing mixed reviews about this drama. I personally did not enjoy it very well at all. I love mostly all kdramas but this one went wrong. The story is really messed up and so is the plot. The main characters don't really get to be romantic until the very end and it's gets very boring when the main lead goes back and forth with her multiple personality disorder 😐 😕 🤔 it just went wrong somewhere.... I'm just dragging myself to finish this one.... don't waste you time... don't get me wrong the actors did a great job and the cinematography of the locations is nice and all but the story is horrendous... only one time watch ⏳️ ⌚️Was this review helpful to you?

Dare You to Death (2025) – EP.10 Final
The final episode reveals that Fai, who was believed to be dead, is actually alive and behind the entire revenge plot together with her doctor boyfriend. Her motivation is undeniably tragic, and the confrontation scene forces Jay into an impossible moral choice. The emotional weight of Fai’s backstory adds depth, and the hostage sequence carries genuine tension.
However, the “Fai is alive” twist, while shocking, feels somewhat abrupt. A bit more foreshadowing would have strengthened the reveal and made the suspense feel more earned. The mystery elements — especially the “Truth or Dare” envelopes and the masked figure — had strong potential, but the overall structure feels slightly uneven toward the end.
After the case is resolved, the tonal shift to Kamon and Jade enjoying a romantic vacation feels very GMMTV — comforting for fans, though somewhat detached from the emotional aftermath, particularly for Jay.
As always, the chemistry between Joong and Dunk remains the highlight of the series. Dunk’s screen presence is undeniably strong — he looks effortlessly charismatic in this role. While some emotional scenes could have carried more nuance, his visual impact and natural pairing with Joong continue to anchor the show.
Overall, a decent finale with solid chemistry, though the suspense writing could have been tighter.

I Will Always Talk About This Ending
If I had to describe this drama in just one word, I would choose *painful*.Watching this drama hurts—deeply. From the very first episodes, I found myself crying over Han Yan’s life. Through this story, I could truly see how difficult it was for women in the past just to survive. How they were forced to hurt other women simply to feel safe under the so-called “protection” of men.
From the beginning, I knew this story would strongly highlight feminism—but it does so in a balanced way, never excessive. At the end of the day, humans are meant to support one another. Yes, there are many terrible men like Han Yan’s father. But perhaps, at the right time, we may also encounter men like Fu Yun Xi—men who respect people regardless of gender. In that era, Fu Yun Xi feels like an outlier. He believes intelligence isn’t something only sons can inherit; women are just as capable of possessing it.
In my opinion, even though Fu Yun Xi is portrayed as a rather harsh character, he is also deeply responsible. After losing his wife and later his father, he does everything he can to shoulder his role as the head of the family. He even prepares provisions for his family for a future where he might no longer be there. It’s heartbreaking because it feels like none of the characters in this drama are granted a true “happily ever after.”
The writer is cruel—in the most honest way. This story shows that happiness and sorrow always walk side by side. There is no happiness without sadness.
This drama also contains many plot twists, some of which may feel excessive if we imagine them in real life. But perhaps that’s the purpose of drama itself. Through exaggeration, the writer makes the message easier for viewers like me to grasp.
This story reminds us that no human is free from sin. Everyone carries their own sins—and chooses which sins they are willing to bear. This applies even to our main characters. They all have reasons for their actions. In the end, it all depends on perspective.
That said, I still refuse to understand Han Yan’s father’s perspective. What he did is unforgivable, no matter the reason.
This is one of the slowest dramas for me to finish, because watching it feels like reopening wounds. Too painful. Too cruel. Too heartbreaking. It’s a good drama—but definitely not for everyone.
And with an ending like 'that'?
I guarantee I’ll be talking about it forever.
Dear writer, you are truly cruel :’(

This Is How You Should Learn to Respect Yourself
This drama experienced a significant delay before it was finally aired. Thankfully, it turned out to be worth the wait—my anticipation didn’t feel wasted at all. It gained massive popularity, and I think the timing of its release, along with a premise that’s easy to digest, played a big role in that success. From You Are My Glory, I’ve always loved how Gu Man writes her male characters. Yu Tu remains my all-time favorite. In Shine On Me, Yu Sen may not feel as realistic as Yu Tu, but you can still sense his humanity. He feels real in his own way.
One thing I truly appreciate is how this drama demonstrates that not every tragedy leads to trauma. Sometimes, it simply becomes something we regret. I also love how Gu Man portrays the age gap between Yu Sen and Xi Guang—not through numbers, but through maturity and attitude.
Because of that, Xi Guang can fully grow into her potential when she’s with Yu Sen. This contrasts sharply with her relationship with Zhuang Xu, where what gets triggered instead is the unresolved wound left by her father.
We all know Xi Guang was initially drawn to Zhuang Xu because of his looks. But what kept her there was familiarity—his personality resembled her father’s. With Zhuang Xu, Xi Guang felt comfortable because she was used to handling men like him. With Yu Sen, however, she felt comfortable because she could simply be herself.
Xi Guang is the kind of character who easily absorbs the energy around her. That’s why someone like her must be in the right environment. When surrounded by the wrong people—like her college friends—her potential gets suppressed instead of nurtured.
As for Yu Sen, he’s one of the best portrayals of a mature man who actually acts his age. The way he handles problems, faces obstacles, and socializes with others reflects a mindset shaped over many years. Everyone may have a difficult childhood, but choosing what kind of adult you become is still a choice. Yu Sen could have stayed traumatized, but instead, he chose to move forward. He used his wounds as motivation, allowing himself to see the world from many perspectives—not just as a “victim.” That’s why he ends up becoming a winner in his own life.
Zhuang Xu, on the other hand, perfectly represents an insecure man who constantly sees himself as the victim. It’s exhausting. He only cares about himself. I would definitely avoid someone like Zhuang Xu—not just as a romantic partner, but even as a friend or coworker. People like him always do what they think is right, regardless of whether it hurts others or not.
What I like about this drama is that the “annoying” characters aren’t corrected through lectures. Instead, they’re confronted in the same way they hurt others. Personally, I find that much more effective—and fair.
The pacing is quite slow, so I think this drama works better when watched while it’s ongoing rather than binged in one go.
As for acting, all the actors did an excellent job. There’s really nothing to criticize—they fully delivered their roles.
However, the editing deserves serious criticism. I noticed weak CGI before in Song Wei Long’s Seven Relics of Ill Omen, but since that’s a fantasy drama, I could understand it from a budget perspective. This drama, however, is not fantasy—and it was delayed multiple times. With that much time, the CGI quality was honestly disappointing and distracting. On top of that, there were noticeable audio issues: sound leakage and muffled dialogue in several scenes. Technically, the drama felt inconsistent.
If it weren’t for the enjoyable story—despite its slow pace—I would’ve given this drama a score below 6 because the editing was that distracting. But because the actors performed so well and the story carries many meaningful messages, I’m giving it an 8 out of 10.

EPIC MASTERPIECE
I started to watch this because I discovered the ost on Spotify. It is so fkkkn good that makes me curious to watch the drama. It was my best decision ever 😭😭😭. I'm glad I discover this masterpiece in this lifetime. I haven't watched the regular version completely yet, but some people said that this Director's Cut version makes the audience could understand many parts of the story better (and I think they were right, bcs I was trying to watch the regular version and it kinda feel rushed and the music direction isn't kinda nailed imo). So, I highly reccomend to watch this Director's Cut version rather than the regular ver.Was this review helpful to you?
A puzzle
I must confess, the story is a bit of a puzzle—rather disjointed and wandering, as is often the whim of the Hong Sisters. I fear the fault lies in the introductions; we were promised one sort of acquaintance, only to find the show had a different character entirely. It left many of us in quite a whirl! An unexpected story is no crime, but this one does feel a trifle scattered. However, what the narrative lacks in order, the production gains in splendid scenery. The cinematography is truly elegant, and Kim Seon Ho possesses such a natural charm that he could likely persuade any audience to follow him anywhere. Paired with a lead actress of such remarkable beauty, the screen is never dull to look upon.
It is clearly a "big budget" affair, and those who prize high quality and visual luster will find much to enjoy. For my part, however, the overall substance was not quite as captivating as the finery surrounding it.
