Definitely still a BL but definitely coulda made it gayer ahah

I think the other reviews are a little harsh but I definitely do understand the disappointment. It is objectively still definitely a BL because the show is about two guys liking each other. and it was such a sweet story. but so slowly paced it’s like they we’re avoiding putting anything actually gay into the show. A bit off putting and slightly dull for that. The ending in particular was so sweet and fulfilling, I was happy seeing the ending we got eventually. But I understand and am with everyone’s disappointment at how the show was laid out, I get it. Still an overall lovely show and BRILLIANT casting. I think ahn ji ho is a cracker of an actor having seen him in other shows like move to heaven. I hope he had a wildly successful career to match his acting talents.

Daily Life Before Armageddon

If you're looking for an exciting "action/disaster" drama, this isn't it. It's not about a cast of characters attempting to save Earth from an imminent asteroid strike that is certain to occur within 200 days nor is it about surviving the aftermath of that strike. The asteroid cannot be diverted from its path and Armageddon is certain. Rather, this drama is about how a group of people live their lives knowing that their time is limited. The first three episodes have many flashbacks and flashforwards from "real time," that are confusing. But if you can get past that, the series can be lovely, violent, disheartening, hopeful, sad, funny, and filled with joy. Just don't expect any superheroes to soar in and save the day! This story of how ordinary people face extraordinary challenges is most satisfying and the acting is marvelous.

This GARO special is very good. I would even say it’s essential for fans of the original series. The main issue is finding it in the quality it deserves. Unfortunately, I watched it in DVD quality, which in no way does justice to the level of visual effects this work deserves to be fully appreciated.

The plot explores Ryōga’s life and brings back some fan-favorite characters. The fight scenes are, as always, well choreographed, and the action sequences are very engaging. Highly recommended.

Prmoising story but not executed well

character development was unnatural, hge shifts, rushed story lines. very promising plot but was disappointing. there's something lacking in their chemistry at times too. if you're coming to watch this after Somewhere somehow then don't expect something good. it was good early on but the story progression wasn't done well. not written ell, maybe not directed well. idk it just wasn't good as it progressed.

it was a gl where i wasn't even rooting for the main couple.

i had to play last 2 eps on times 2 speed cuz i just wanted it to end. wasn't enjoyable anymore

Childish behavior, red flag ml, puppy clingy princess

I could barely finish the drama, started it 3 times and could finish it only on 3rd try with skips at the last 10 episodes. The female lead is just a clingy like puppy to a guy who is always hurting her, lack of proper communication and emotional intelligence:) She is always sacrificing something for him and supporting, while he at the beginning especially was so selfish, the way how he acted with his “friends “/teammates, like yeah, you are smart, but you also think about others’ feelings.
Overhyped c-drama for sure. The only good thing - the main leads’ facecards

“I Planned to Watch 2 Episodes… I Finished Moon River in 2 Days” ?

At first, I didn’t want to watch Moon River because it’s a historical drama—it wasn’t really my preference. But when I found out that it won Best Actress and Best Actor, I started questioning why I hadn’t watched it sooner.

I decided to give it a try and planned to watch just two episodes, but I ended up finishing the entire series in just two days.

Every episode has funny moments that balance the story, and when drama is needed, it helps you understand the plot and the characters more deeply. The emotional scenes feel natural and not forced. The first episode really requires your full attention—once you understand it, you’ll definitely love the episodes that follow.

The only reason it’s not a perfect 10 is because there’s a lot of drama involving soul swapping, which may feel overwhelming at times. That’s why the remaining 0.5 was deducted.

Overall, Moon River is an excellent drama that deserves a 9.5/10, and it’s highly recommended—even for those who usually avoid historical dramas. 🌙✨

Love keeps ringing

Overall, it's an enjoyable rom-com.

I like Dylan & Bai Lu, but the main couple’s storyline drags a lot 😮‍💨, especially in the middle. Luckily, their pacing does start to pick up again towards the end.

One great thing about this drama is that it has multiple couples and honestly, the third couple (Qin Shi Yue & Yu You) saved the slow middle part for me - they were my favorites!
Qin Shi Yue is funny, honest, decisive, and easily the most emotionally mature character... I honestly wished we had more scenes of her and Yu You.

Now, the most annoying issue (and I never thought I’d write this😅): did the writer ban every other way of interrupting a couple except phone calls?? They might have a thing for ringing phones… Seriously, the phone rings constantly from start to finish, always to interrupt the couple, and it becomes absurd. Add to that an excessive number of misunderstandings, and it gets a bit frustrating.

Despite its flaws, it still entertaining and offers a good amount of romance.

Learn to respect the different ways of love

I truly loved the miniseries. I sincerely believe it effectively portrays, within the production's time constraints, how the diverse paths people take in life, their upbringing, learning experiences, and life events generate countless ways in which attachments and affections arise—attachments and feelings that, under more general or standard conditions, might not be perceived as normal or at least as more natural in terms of their developmental pace. The landscapes and nature also reflect this and the rhythms of life they create, which ties in very closely with the plot.

The best high school drama with the sweetest love

If you like high school dramas, this is. MUST WATCH!! This is my favorite high school drama!! Our Secret is one of those rare dramas that doesn’t try to be loud, dramatic, or artificially intense and that’s precisely why it works so beautifully.

Zhou Si Yue is one of my all-time favorite male lead. He’s intelligent, confident, and effortlessly charming but never arrogant. What makes him special is how clear and intentional he is with Ding Xian, being such a green flag but with his own swagger and charm. From early on, his interest isn’t vague or confusing. It’s steady. Protective. Gentle. He is soo swoon worthy!!
He teases her, supports her, notices her in ways that feel deeply personal.

Ding Xian is soft-spoken but never weak. She’s thoughtful, disciplined, and emotionally sincere. What’s beautiful is how her love unfolds naturally, not through dramatic realizations, but through shared moments, trust, and emotional safety.

The chemistry between Zhou Si Yue and Ding Xian is understated but powerful. It’s in:
the glances that linger half a second too long.
the way he always shows up when she needs him.
Nothing feels forced. Nothing feels rushed. Their bond feels earned.

The high school portion is the soul of this drama. It’s pure, sweet, and quietly unique, the kind of first love that feels innocent without being naive.
There’s no cheap angst, no love triangles dragging things down but instead spices things up and steadies Zhou si yue's feelings for ding Xian! I love his cute jealous scenes.

What makes Our Secret special is its emotional honesty. It trusts the audience to notice small things. It doesn’t over-explain. It lets love unfold naturally, calmly, and sincerely. This drama isn’t just perfection, but also a picture of comfort, nostalgia, and first love bottled perfectly.

Hidden gem of 2025/ Highly underrated

This drama was amazing from beginning to end. If you want to watch a sweet, funny, heart warming story, with insightful lessons of family, independence ( not always feeling sorry about yourself when you can do something to change your situation or if you can’t at least try, than just throwing a pity party and blaming or envying others), with a an adorable hint of romance then you shouldn’t miss this masterpiece.

1. Storyline
It was perfect. No unnecessary misunderstandings just simply beautiful. A girl who has worked so hard for her family business was about to lose everything due to her useless brother who wanted to sell it and she couldn’t do anything because family rules stated only males could inherit ownership of the business. She wishes she could meet the ancestor who made such a stupid rule and her wish is granted. Then the drama begins to make sure such a rule would never be made.

2. Acting
The actors were simply amazing, from the mains to the supporting cast everyone carried their roles perfectly, even the child actors. The characters were also well written.

I’m not one to write reviews but I did on this incase it can encourage anyone to watch the show. It was soo beautiful and I think it deserves more flowers than it received. So instead of wasting time go and watch it NOW!!! 😊

Boring, monotonous

At first, I found it very interesting; it's a blend of classic historical drama with humor, but then it becomes monotonous, with boring dialogue.
The father and son characters, in particular, are incredibly silly and dull.
They're the worst part of the story.

I've seen Chang Long act in better comedies, playing very funny characters, but this isn't one of them.

Wang Ying Lu and Li Yun Rui seemed like a good pairing that would elevate the series, but their lead characters simply fizzled out, becoming secondary characters.
Watching it is a waste of time.

Breathtaking in every way...

I love everything about this story, I am a massive fan of both the lead actors and they did a phenomenal job with these lead characters. Their chemistry was natural, and brought the story to life in a way I feel like only they could. I haven't felt this attached to a Wuxia Fantasy in a while, one of like 3 in all of 2025 that really crept into my heart and nested there. I am so sad it is over, but I would rewatch this one just for the beautiful storytelling, believable acting, amazing chemistry, and the magic and creatures in this story were so well done. I Love the concept of this unwinding love that transcends through thousands of years over and over again, no matter how our leads met. It was thrilling to watch them fall in love three times over, and in unique ways each time. The story itself just worked for me in ways not many do.

It was literally shaping up to be one of my all time favorite cdramas before the last two episodes completely decimated me. I am actually crying over this one. It hurts my soul that it ended this way. I don't even know what to do with myself in this moment. If you want to see a happy ending, stop before you get too far into ep 39 and you can live in la la land. I almost wish I had held off on the ending now but I also love that I did them justice in seeing it through despite my heart break, because even in the ending we get to see the depth of such a love.

Was more captivated by Wang Xing Yue, haha.

For the most part, ML and FL were sweet enough, but what really caught my attention was Wang Xing Yue as Meng Xiao Dong. For such a young actor, he brought out the presence of a mature man. WXY in a suit is simply captivating. And in this drama, he’s in a suit most of the time.

Meng Xiao Dong is so awkwardly cute when he likes someone, haha.

I also enjoyed all the snooker bits.

Chemistry Not as Magical as Cherry Magic

Being a HUGE fan of Cherry Magic (I’ve watched the J drama, movie, and anime versions multiple times), I can’t help but compare this BL office romance with it. Honestly even if they come up with 10 more with this exact same story, I’m here for it. It was refreshing that this series only has 5 episodes, so it leaves the rest up to imagination. I didn’t like the fact that they keep harping on the older guy’s age as if 40 is on your deathbed. Carl Jung has said that 40 is when the true life really starts. Anyway I actually liked the younger guy’s acting much better. The protagonist Nozue (the 40 year old) seemed lackluster till the end, and even when he said he liked Togawa (the 30 year old), I didn’t quite believe him. He looked a bit constipated in his emotions, but Togawa was really into it. He was the “Kurosawa” character from Cherry Magic, but the protagonist- the one who feels stuck, unworthy, uninspired (the counterpart of Adachi) was neither as cute or interesting as Adachi was. I think if they had cast someone else as the lead, the chemistry could have been much better. This is what was lacking- the chemistry. Nevertheless, I still liked it, and perhaps my favorite part of the series was the intro/outro song Blue Blur" (feat. Mabanua) by Ryu Matsuyama really set the vibe- it was super romantic.
