A love story of Trials,Rebond and pure Attraction!

so this is my first time,writing a review in a long while,and also my third modern Cdrama after a long time and I just want to say I'm very much grateful for this series. It is a well curated series with so much depth,Dramaatic side characters(in a good way) and very natural chemistry. Gu man who personally handpicked the both lead actors have done a great job and her writing has yet entered the best idol literary works in her history of great novel curation.

I especially want to Commend the Lead actors Song weilong and Zhao jinmai for doing such a great job holding the Story together from ep1-36,although the CGI was not so great,and the makeup sometimes was distracting and also the 2Ml had more screen time than the Male lead in some situations,it didn't take away the beauty of this drama in any form,and the storyline is perfect from beginning to the end!!

it's safe to say that Lin yusen the Green forest ML is nowhere to be found in person! but I hope that more men after tuning into this drama will Learn to treat women differently and show them that love is worth it from all angles!

Lastly,I want to say a Big thank you to SOM family who sticked through this drama and ensured a happy viewer ship and coordination throughout despite the few harsh criticisms and straight up hate on both actors. Big congratulations to the success of this drama and I hope new viewers get to enjoy all the happiness,suspense and butterflies we felt while watching this show!! My best drama yet!!😍

Episodes 1+2 ?then Misunderstanding Central

The first 2 episodes had me HOOKED. Then the dragged out misunderstandings had me like -_-

It felt like misunderstanding after misunderstanding which had me following along to see resolution but more so out of curiosity than sincere enjoyment. I feel like if they stuck with the plot of the first 2 episodes with them in Jeju, fake marriage, bummy tech ex and MIA sister that would’ve been a perfect plot in itself. Everything after that was cute but it felt like so much was going on that some things just didn’t matter despite being major reasons as to why certain things are happening in the story ex. THE MISSING DEBT RIDDEN SISTER.

It was a fun watch for the most part I’d say but I stopped caring about the plot and just enjoyed the exceptional acting, select sequences (ex. stone shoes, Juns’ talent show, Ha-yeong and her mom) and subplots like the In-ae, Gyeong-min and Go-eun even at some points Ji-Hye. Also Seon-u had 20, TWENTY years and he chose now when Da-rim is finally with a good man and in love? I wept. Ha-yeong stand up babe please because what do you mean “a few years later” and you’re out here saying “girlfriend, soon?” NO! 😔
As long as you don’t have high expectations, this drama is nice. Eps 1 and 2 raised the bar so high that everything after didn’t quite meet it.

The end credits brought it back for me though tbh, was very very sweet and the lil Christmas messsge, so cute. I feel like I’ll be nostalgic and rewatch this one day (probably Christmas) and I’ll enjoy it more, now knowing not to let the first two eps blind me to what I thought it was going to be. Also the soundtrack was nice, every time ‘Face to Face’ came on I was cheesing.

The CP biggest peak plot.

When I watch this on last year, i was quite satisfying with this.

For the plot it was quite nutritious with comedy, heart-warming and heart-wrenching moment with depth about ex couple met again FL want to start her life anew and ex still want to amend their relationship. Female Lead are quite logical and Male Lead are not to scumbag. The chemistry? guaranteed.

Han Yutong acting is on point as always. I see Zeng Hui potential on melodrama since almost of his drama lean to romance and his face on the end is hilarious. I hope he breaks his cool image and goes all-out again.

One of the CP best work. Recommended to watch.

This wasn't good I fear

I went into this with decently high hopes. The first couple of episodes were great, in my opinion. The character establishment was fun. But I do think their first mistake was making a direct reference to MGB - which was a much better vampire drama.

This was my first BounPrem fronted show and I didn't walk away with glowing reviews for them. I didn't feel like I had any reason to be all that invested in Ramil and Punn's romance and the love scenes were entirely lacking spark.

The storyline literally went nowhere. There was all this buildup to discovering Feratu and then all it took was one swift stab and we're done? We also see no real discussions after between the Hunters and Ramil's family unpacking all that spilled blood and trauma. Jett literally doesn't even get to bring up being possessed, he's just like ✨️la la la gonna work at the orphanage✨️.

Dynamite cliche

This show is like watching a series of rom com and kdrama cliches stitched together as one show . Depending solely on the leads chemistry to make up for lack of creativity . It’s not like we are expecting some path breaking concept for these kind of shows . But some bare minimum effort is required. What’s the point in this day and age if ChatGPT can also generate the storyline for this show and it’s now all up to the actors to make up for everything and their fan base to make it successful. And don’t even get me started on the second ML character . If anyone is suffering from second ML syndrome please watch this show . It will kill that emotion in you . Not blaming the actor though. So so disappointed . It even begins with a classic rich CEO ML and poor af FL trope. It would have atleast been a bit more fun if they were trying to spoof these kind of shows from the 90’s and 2000’s . But no way.

This one is for the lonely souls.

A very kind and thoughtful stranger recommended Our Unwritten Seoul to me last year, but like so many other dramas, it sat on my PTW list collecting dust until I eventually forgot all about it. Then, during the 2025 MDL challenge, I kept seeing it mentioned again and again. That piqued my interest and got me wondering, did I actually miss out on a gem of a story? Out of curiosity, I decided to take it out of its cold prison and make it my first kdrama of 2026 — and what a fantastic choice that was. This is a story for the burnouts, the aimless wanderers, the dreamers, the brokenhearted, and the lonely souls.

You need an exceptionally capable cast in order to bring a character-driven drama like this to life — and this production delivered exactly that. Every single actor gave an outstanding performance, but Park Bo-young was in a league of her own. She was essentially playing four different roles all at once: Miji, Mirae, Miji cosplaying as Mirae, and Mirae pretending to be Miji. Some of the other characters might have had difficulty telling the sisters apart, but as a viewer, I always knew who was who because each version was convincingly distinct. Miji carried an insecurity hidden behind a wall of defensive fire and Mirae possessed a quiet exhaustion that made it feel as though she was suffocating under the crushing weight of her life’s burdens. Park Bo-young's ability to create chemistry with every single one of her costars? Chef's kiss. She had to sell two different love stories as two different characters and she was so good that she made both feel equally important. This woman deserves her flowers, and then so much more.

Healing and self-discovery were the heart of the story, but the bond of love and family was what truly gave it a pulse. Our Unwritten Seoul doesn't just rely on the typical family structure that many of us are familiar with in kdramas — a man, a woman, and their child — it goes above and beyond. It shows us that sometimes family is a widow and her son clinging onto each other in the aftermath of loss. Sometimes it is just a woman taking her daughter away from a toxic and abusive household because that is the only way to protect them both. Sometimes it's two sisters refusing to let go of each other's hand even if it means they both fall. Sometimes it is two women creating a life together despite societal norms. The drama's exploration into unconventional yet vital family dynamics is what makes this story so brilliant. As the drama put me in the characters' shoes, I became an accomplice to their mischievous schemes and ended up on an intimate journey through their lives. Each character and relationship felt as beautifully written and complex as the next.

What could've been just a cliché identity-swapping trope turned into a deep dive on how different people react to hardship. Do you walk away to avoid the sting of failure like Miji? Do you bottle it all inside like Mirae? Do you fake it until you make it like Hosu? Do you hide behind humor like Sejin? Do you wear harshness as a shield like Ok-hui? Do you turn your pain into wisdom for others like Wol-sun? Or do you ignore your troubles entirely in fear of making things worse like Ro-sa? I love that this drama never judges the choices the characters make. In a world where we are afraid of how society perceives us — something our protagonists Miji and Mirae understand all too well — the writers gently remind us "it’s okay." It’s okay to hide when you are feeling overwhelmed. It’s okay to start over if life isn't what it is supposed to be. It’s okay to start later than never starting at all. It’s okay to try, and fail, and try again. Our fate isn't set in stone; it is unwritten. And Grandma Wol-sun said it best: "No matter how pathetic or messy it looks, anything you do to survive is brave."

I adore this drama to pieces and there are only two drawbacks if I am to nitpick. For starters, the episodes are quite long — about 80 to 90 minutes each — making it more emotionally draining to sit through than it needs to be. Each time I completed an episode, instead of hopping onto the next, I had to take a break to recharge my energy. The upside to this is my time never felt wasted. For those who have the patience to stay with the characters from beginning until end, the drama generously rewards them with heartfelt moments (that feel wholesome and earned!) My other minor gripe was the cinematography. I read so many praises for it, but for me, it was nothing special. Just okay. Although, I will give it credit for the way certain scenes were shot based on their locations. For instance, Seoul — the place that caused Mirae's depression — looked and felt sterile and cold; meanwhile Miji and Mirae's hometown — the place where their loved ones are — was bathed in warmth and coziness. It was a nice touch.

With that said, I'm so glad I finally gave Our Unwritten Seoul a chance. It is everything that everyone said it would be — relatable, healing, and inspirational. It didn't just consume my time; it occupied my mind, leaving me to ponder how survival is often messy, progress isn't always linear, and growth requires a lot of patience. It made me feel seen in a way I didn't expect, and even though I watched it later than most, I think it found me exactly when I needed it. This story will stay with me for a very long time and that is more than I could ever ask for.

Fun watch . Rom con vibe

It’s probably what dynamite kiss should have been . It’s just a fun light show. But it has a basic storyline atleast . And the characters are a little bit more funny and endearing . Nothing too deep here . So manage your expectations . Don’t expect a masterpiece coz it’s not that type of a show. Read the WEBTOON also by the way . They have made a shows but in a good way. Enjoyed it so far and if they continue to adapt it as per the WEBTOON it might end up being a show I can easily recommend if you just wanna chill and watch a kdrama that’s not too heavy .

A Polished Romance That Never Truly Resonates

This is a slow-burn, feel-good series — neither particularly good nor truly bad.
It follows protagonists from wealthy, divorced families. Writer Chen Zhou Fei (You Are My Triumph) explores choosing between a first love from university and a mature, stable suitor who patiently courts the heroine.

The writing is highly realistic. The author carefully depicts character profiles, of ML and FL, workplace dynamics, and professional stakes. While this focus on everyday simplicity could be a strength, it ultimately lacks emotional warmth and a distinctive charm. Despite fresh ideas and the avoidance of overt clichés, the story failed to move me.

Director Finn Han (Whispers of Fate), known for his strong aesthetic sensibility, delivers visually beautiful, highly “Instagrammable” imagery. However, the visuals often feel more suited to advertising than cinema. Combined with the minimal plot and restrained writing, the series sometimes feels like watching a beautifully curated Instagram feed rather than a compelling narrative.

Song Wei Long shines as a former doctor turned ideal suitor — the perfect son-in-law every parent would approve of.
Zhao Jin Mai, though talented and promising, still struggles with romantic and emotionally expressive roles, often appearing distant. The casting choice seems clearly inspired by Song Wei Long’s resemblance to Zhang Ling He, perhaps aiming to recreate the atmosphere of "The Best Thing", a series that suffered from similar shortcomings.

The central couple is realistic and logically written, but precisely for that reason, too ordinary. Their relationship feels familiar rather than cinematic. The line “Think carefully and make your choice calmly” perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the series.

The second male lead, initially given narrative importance, abruptly " falls off a cliff "vwithout proper development, both in the writing and the performance.
A notable bright spot is the heroine’s younger brother, whose fresh energy and natural acting stand out.

There is also a gentle touch of renewable-energy promotion :), but beyond that, the series lacks a true plot.

Overall, it is a pleasant, unpretentious watch with mature, realistic relationships. If you enjoyed "The Best Thing", this series offers the same quiet vibe — perfect for cozy winter evenings.
If you seek intensity, depth, memorable characters, or a strong storyline, this may not be for you.

The ending ruined it

From the beginning, i already expected a bittersweet ending because the core conflict of the story, ending the dispute between Demons and Humans, felt almost impossible to resolve without sacrifice. So if they succeeded, i knew it wouldn’t come with a fully happy ending.
That said, episode 38 still raised my hopes, especially when Ao Hen nearly defeated Lord Bing Zhu, the main antagonist. For a moment, it really felt like things might turn out better. By episode 39, the sadness started sinking in, and by the first half of episode 40, my heart was already aching. The second half of the finale completely broke me. I tried convincing myself that this ending was expected, and still failed to hold back tears.
The CP in this drama unfortunately didn’t work and they failed to create chemistry so the romance here is off and disappointed because in xianxia dramas if the plot is messed the romance and chemistry is what saves the show...
That said, there are things also i didn’t like:
Dali’s character was disappointing. She had the potential to be a true friend to Xiao Yao, but instead chose betrayal just to be “perfectly beautiful” in the Realm of Mist and Void. I honestly expected Dali and Xiao Yao to reunite at the end, and it was sad that they never did.
The bittersweet and open ending left me conflicted. It was emotional, and the behind-the-scenes clips helped ease the pain a little, but I’m still confused about why Xiao Yao chose that specific memory to return to. Since she mentioned having another request, I assume she had her reasons, but the ending still felt unsatisfying and has no sense. It was also clearly rushed. The sudden handling of Pianpian’s fate, and Tan’er ending up in Pianpian’s body all felt abrupt and poorly explained...
The things i liked are solely the cgi and beautiful clothes.

Fun to Work, Shop, Cook and Eat Together

Had been watching lots of kdrama series and thought of diving into variety shows.
This show is a great way to promote what are the fresh produce of Korea, both in the field and at sea. I like the concept of these four "siblings" work their butts off and then cooking the produce given to them. It is so nice to see them take on the challenge to work at sea and at field even it is so difficult. They get a deeper appreciation of the hard work of the people who harvest the fresh produce.
I love the camaraderie of these four, how their personalities may be different from each other, but never showed any pride or arrogance. Each of them has their own strengths and weaknesses, but they complement each other.
I like that they are of different ages. Having Dex and Eun Jin as the extroverted and energetic younger siblings, while Jun Myung and Jung Ah as the expert cooks. Eun Jin is so funny, like an energy bunny, even in the midst of her crying moments during the eel fishing trip. Dex knows his role and always helpful with his sisters.
I like that there are no foul language, and though they joke around, they are still respectful to each other. It was also good to see how they interact with the village people as they work and give food. They did not come as celebrities for a fan meeting but seriously working.
I like seeing the different meals that they prepare and enjoy with or without guests. And am getting hungry seeing them eating together :)
I like the houses they lived in and how they are provided with bikes or scooters.
I hope they continue this show with more guests to work with them and enjoy each other's company.
