The English version is highly censored, grrr

Having read some of the reviews I now realise it was not me going mad, but there are bits that made no sense because whole sections had been edited out, for example the consent and cond*m scene between Rain and P’Payu was completely missing - I saw them chatting in the bath then all of a sudden Rain was alone in bed so there was no understanding of the fact that their relationship had moved to a whole new level. Another example is that I couldn’t understand why P’Pai was so interested in Sky as the version I saw didn’t even have them chatting at the race meet (where they ended up in bed together) so future references made no sense whatsoever. These are two of the most obvious examples (can’t think why…) but there are several more.
If anyone can recommend how I get to see the complete story I would be most grateful
The chemistry is off the charts for both couples and I loved how P’Payu wanted Rain to put his studies first and P’Pai was so supportive, understanding and protecting of Sky. They really are wonderful examples of loving and nurturing couples.
Rewatch value? 100% if it was the complete, non censored version

I MEAN ITS VERY GOOD BUT ITS TOO CRAZY Y'ALL, at least for me.. im too scared to rewatch it... okay I will continue review it in my mother language. JADI INITUH POKOKNYA MANTEP BGT DAH. awalnya mungkin kalian bakal mikir kayak "ooh ok dia gila ok" tp trust me, jangan didrop, nikmati sampe tamat and u will find the reason why people call this drama CRAZY. buatku ini oke bgt, alur thriller yang bagus banget, plottwist juga oke banget. ini salah satu contoh gimana seharusnya genre "thriller" itu ada.

For you who love plot dense, no romance drama!

FINALLY, a plot dense drama without romance. I really love when a plot is focused on theme and stay on track, like this one.

This is now my favorite Cheng Yi's drama after Mysterious Lotus Case. I really love to see a different side of Cheng Yi's acting. He portrays a darker side we usually don't see much. Plus, he doesn't fight here, can you imagine? When I think of Cheng Yi, I think of him flying around with swords lol

Of course, at the core he is still our heroic character. I really enjoy this show a lot.

On a sidenote, I am low key wishing to see Cheng Yi play a lighthearted, funny, happy character with happy ending, just for once.

Intriguing concept undermined by unclear plot.

I liked the reverse storytelling, it felt fresh and initially did a great job of holding my attention, only to be disappointed when the first chapter was revealed. At that point, the plot began to feel confusing and poorly connected. Karina’s motivations were never clearly defined, was she driven by revenge, subtly corrupted by the kulariot, or simply acting out of cruelty?

Also, the supernatural element, the "kulariot", was underdeveloped and seemed to exist solely for horror value rather than serving a meaningful purpose in the story. Because it wasn't fully explored and integrated into the narrative, it felt unnecessary and disconnected from the overall plot.

Confused? You will be!

What a brilliant concept for a BL storyline that keeps the audience guessing!

PLEASE NOTE: Don’t bother watching the English version put out on YouTube by Me Mind Y as there are whole chunks missing (the child swap thing towards the end of the series is a perfect example and you won’t get some of the dream sequences either) that make an already confusing plot almost unwatchable. Make sure to watch it on iQIYI where you can view the whole thing as well as the special episode (I’ve left a review for this too).

The plot starts at university where we meet P’Cir who wakes up from an accident telling everyone that Phu is his boyfriend and then he escapes from hospital to run to Phu’s student apartment to check that he’s ok and to tell him they they are in a relationship but that he is from a parallel universe. Phu is completely surprised as he’s never spent any time with Cir but is so worried about him that he decides he needs to help him return to his own world.
There are plenty of humorous, steamy and poignant moments in a drama with an excellent cast (the two main leads work really well together with fabulous chemistry and the secondary pairing is also believable and engaging).
There are twists and turns and by the end you realise that although Cir is not from a parallel universe, there are other versions of himself that exist with other versions of Phu and that he’s met a couple of his counterparts.
The special episode that aired independently and after this series also helps join the dots so is well worth a watch too.

Would I watch this again? I originally watched the YouTube version then found it on iQIYI so have already seen it a second time.

The series follows Yao Shun-Yu, a naïve and kind-hearted young man who lands a job as a male secretary at a company that had previously only hired female secretaries. His boss is Xia Shang-Zhou, a strict, demanding, and difficult manager. As they work together, the tension between them grows… and so does something more than just a professional relationship.

The story offers many fun and sweet moments at the beginning, with playful interactions between the leads that feel genuinely adorable. However, midway through the season, the narrative loses strength, and some subplots feel underdeveloped or forced.

You Are Mine is a light and easy-to-watch BL, perfect to enjoy without high expectations, featuring sweet moments and characters that can be charming if you enjoy the genre.
That said, if you’re looking for a romance with deeper development and healthier dynamics, it may not fully meet your expectations.

For fans of office-setting BLs with an adorable romance, it’s a moderate yes. If you prefer more mature or less controversial storylines, some scenes may feel a bit cringe.

Lovely romance

I’m giving this a perfect score on my vertical drama standards. I absolutely enjoyed this. Story is definitely typical of rich guy poor girl so not exceptionally unique. Writer though stuck from start to end in wonderfully developing the building of their relationship without unnecessary disruption of side stories or third wheelers. ML had no one else but her once he fell and likewise, she managed their secret office romance without silly misunderstandings. They were professional at work and perfectly aligned personally. First cdrama where two consensual adults had no coyness about skinship, and it is so welcoming and hope to see more. So if you are up to a story where actors are mature and pointed, while giving fluff to the way of the heart in their relationship, this is a good one. No not overly fluffy as it’s slow burn but meaningful enough and engaging.

A Realistic Look at History, Business, and Human Life

This is a purely business and political drama. If you’re looking for fluffy romance, light entertainment, or wuxia-style fantasy where characters fly between mountains, this drama is probably not for you.

However, if you enjoy realistic historical storytelling and are curious about how people actually lived in the past, this drama is worth watching.

What I loved most is the realism. I’ve always been curious about how ordinary people lived during that time—how marriages worked, whether common people had concubines like the upper nobility, and how daily life really looked. This drama portrays those aspects in a grounded and believable way.

The exile arc of the main lead is especially memorable. The scenery and locations during that period are beautifully shown and add depth to the story.

Another strong point is the depiction of business interactions with other countries. The drama shows how trade was conducted, how different cultures interacted, and how people adapted foreign influences while still preserving their own traditions.

I also appreciated that the main leads are mature and realistic, not overly sweet or childish. There’s no excessive makeup or doll-like appearance. When characters work hard or go through difficult situations, they actually look tired—messy hair, worn expressions, and natural faces. This makes the drama feel far more authentic compared to others where characters remain flawless no matter what.

The supporting cast is equally strong, and every character feels well-written and well-acted.

Yes, the pacing can feel slow at times because it focuses heavily on politics and business. But once you get invested and understand the storyline, it becomes very engaging.

Overall, this is a solid, realistic historical drama with strong performances, meaningful storytelling, and a refreshing lack of artificial glamour. If you enjoy serious, grounded dramas, you’ll likely appreciate this one.

A little to calm for its own good

This was a likable series depicting childhood trauma being healed through patience and love. While there were nice moments, in the beginning, I couldn't connect with Minato. He's close with his brother due to family issues of abandonment, so he keeps pretty closed off to any romantic emotional ties to anyone. He sleeps with drunk Shizuma but gets angry as he doesn't remember which is understandable. Then he proceeds to teach him a 'lesson'. He admits Shizuma is kind and loving, and after spending time with him, yet still he continues the plan.

It just felt hollow. Shizuma and those around treated him like he was like fine china. He's not shallow, but his actions seem lacking credibility. When it switches to him finally accepting Shizuma's honesty and love, the journey still ripples along. In the end, he admits that he has always loved him from the moment they met. The warmth he feels while being held by Shizuma is something he can't let go of. So why continue the pretense when Shizuma clearly shows the conviction of his love and commitment to him? It feels too light to be impactful. Go to therapy and learn to trust what you both share. It's not that his fears aren't valid, but I kept asking myself, "Does he love himself?"

Everything was done right, from production to acting, so that leaves the script. It lingers on with no real info or insightful moments. The background characters at the bar were a compliment to the story. I understood Shizuma's mindset from his position from straight to gay. His expression of well wishes for his ex even though she hurt him would make his love for Minato true. Most films have a gay awakening moment, his transitioned naturally as he showed he genuinely cared about people.

As I said, I liked the series, but the issues dealt with seemed surface value and could have been a little more meatier.

vibes over substance

I took out a Disney sub just for this show and all I can say is, I'm so glad there are so many other options to watch in the lineup because this show was a wild disappointment. Part of it was high expectations - good premise, strong production values, actors that didn't look like plastic. Based on a review that said it picked up in episode 3, I persevered past episode 2. Yes, it picked up for a couple of episode, only to flatline again. The overall plot lines are interesting but too many random details were shoved into a story of 9 episodes, the romance was never deserved and I could just not get over how bad the dialogue was. Maybe it's pedantic but it just threw me out of the world of the story so often. And while I get that Seo Munju is stoic, she often reads as blank. The best performance was probably Oh Jung-se, maybe it was a saving grace he didn't have much screen time to mess it up. Perhaps what is most frustrating is how highly rated this series is, DESPITE almost everyone recognizing the problems.

It had Everything to be a Wonderful Drama

Things I would have changed…

If ML and FL kept chemistry of the first 2 episodes when they reconciled and during the drama.
Removed the love triangle
HaYeong crush for 2ML who didn’t deserve it
Amnesia part
One year and later 3-4 years trope

Would have been over a 9 rating for me.

Writers please need to get new ideas and change these old tropes.

should have been called The Clumsy & Injured Woman not Dynamite Kiss.

I've never seen a woman get injured so many times... a record...

it should have been called The Clumsy & Injured Woman not Dynamite Kiss... is absolutely disappointing...

So many accidents, injuries... nothing profund... so many clichés, unfinished storyline... so superficial and haotic...Ridiculous, annoying, boring, disappointing, messy, rushed, and extremely cliche.

Yes, we have a Green Flag Man. The chemistry between FL & ML is fire, is Dynamite. But after the first two episode they have lost the script.

The SML did not deserve any relationship with SFL. She deserved better. She was so lovely and treating him so nice, and he did not deserved her.

I'm tired of so many rescues, emotionally immature women. It had mega potential, their chemistry could have been a mega drama, both are very good actors.. but the script was absolutely horrible.

The chemistry between the main couple carried this drama. That's why has so much success. Otherwise it was a 6.7 raiting.

I'm almost speechless..

Someone in the comment section said this show is so bad that it's good, while I wouldn't quite go that far, the script really does surprise again & again at how bad it is. Even in the last episode where I thought they couldn't possibly make it any worse, I've gotten surprises.

Normally I would bash the writer for this ehm "performance", but upon further thought I don't think it's humanely possible for a professional to write something like this willingly, without external influences. Surely a sponsor of the show or someone similar must've interfered with the writing on a daily basis. For example they've retroactively changed the ending of one of the episodes, live filming or not that is an incredible new low in my kdrama history.

To say something good about this drama, it's still better than `Forecasting Love and Weather`. Even though the second ML here is a strong contender with the two leads in that, I still think Dynamite Kiss is lacking a bit of an X-factor to become the worst kdrama I have ever finished / not dropped.

Gothic fantasy about blood, magic elixir and true love

I discovered this drama when I was doing a reddit assignment on Xie Yu Wang. Darn, both Xie Yu Wang and Han Jia Hui are my favourites so I was excited about this drama. I watched it last night and wow, I was surprised.

What I liked:
1. Fantasy - I never thought this could be a fantasy drama - I liked the fantasy element a lot. Magic blood and its healing properties. Experimentation for an elixir.
2. Romance - Yes, finally a ML having a spring dream. That dream was spicy and it made sense why he had that dream. They had a rocky relationship with their circumstance going against them but I enjoyed their love story.
3. ML characterisation - I liked that ML got curious about FL and figured out her secret in the first act. Then he offered a partnership deal to FL. He too had a mission to accomplish.
4. FL characterisation - She's a complex character. She had to put on a mask to save herself from being exploited. In third act, she was conflicted between revenge and love. Good character growth.
5. Acting - It's good to see Han Jia Hui in a dramatic role - she challenged herself. Xie Yu Wang played his role well too. I liked the chemistry between them - there was a tacit understanding and strong sexual tension between them.
6. Styling - Great outfits worn by ML. I liked most outfits worn by FL except the first dress. The red stains looked like blood and the colour tone - hhhhmm it wasn't a pretty dress to me.

What I disliked:
1. Abuse - I pitied FL for the abuse she had to endure. I hated that the kids were part of the experiment.
2. Antagonists - FL's father was evil. Her half-sis and stepmother were horrible people as well.

Favourite scene
ML's dream

what does the director do professionally ?

It was one of this year’s series that I was most looking forward to, especially because I love BillyBabe who nailed their roles in the Sign, so it was only natural that I was excited to finally see them back on the big screen after waiting for so long (nearly 2 years to be precise). The trailer and the pilot had me super hyped as it looked like the series had everything to be another hit : a story of love that transcends time and space, beautiful traditional costumes, a couple that has insane chemistry and according to thai netz a promising director.

Nonetheless, I have to say that I got thoroughly disappointed with the series, well at least the 3 episodes that I watched. It was really difficult to get into the story and I’m one of those people that if I don’t get hooked by the 2nd episode, it’s very rare that I can pull through until the very end. Because it was BillyBabe I gave it a chance until episode 3 and it simply didn’t convince me to keep watching and spending my time on something that I'm not thoroughly enjoying. The plot had so much potential, but the execution wasn't up to my standards, so with a rather heavy heart I had to drop it…

What threw me off most of the time were the dialogues/monologues. They felt extremely stiff and unnatural, especially Kaewta’s parts. I don’t know if the script wasn’t good or if it was Babe’s execution as well as the director’s guidance that were lacking, but you could literally see that it was acted (yes i know they are acting, but it's the actors job to make us feel part of it all) and that prevented me to really immerse myself into the story and the characters.

From the few episodes I’ve watched as well as some of the clips I’ve seen on tiktok, Billy and Heng are doing a phenomenal job! Babe’s dancing looks great, but I was expecting more improvement in his acting. When I’m looking at Kaewta’s expressions and the way he talks, it feels like I’m looking at Tharn… I truly see no difference in acting between these 2 - and no I’m not hating but just stating my personal opinion as someone who can objectively judge my faves and say that more acting workshops would have been useful.

Another factor that made me drop the series was the editing as well as the camera angles, especially those random zoom ins on the faces. Considering how nice the trailer/pilot looked, it’s weird how totally different the series’s color scheme and cinematography is…

And out of curiosity I also watched the episode with the NC because BillyBabe did those scenes beautifully in their previous series “The Sign”, but in this one you can see that this was completely improvised and had no professional guidance from a director/coordinator. It looked (imo) vulgar and had nothing to do with aesthetic or good directing. I felt uncomfortable watching it and not in the “omg i’m blushing” type of way, but more in the “wtaf are they doing?” sense. The way the scenes were cut was simply a disaster; the way they jumped from one scene to the other, no coherency or fluidity (like why am I seeing Kaewta's/Babe’s ass in front of my salad when he was just one second ago drawing Khun Yai/Billy??)… i’m sorry but i’ve seen adult videos which were more aesthetic and better directed than this one. I honestly feel sorry for BillyBabe because they deserved to have a nice series with a good plot and director, but this one really isn’t doing it for me.

As a side note, for a director so widely praised by both the cast and Thai netizens, my expectations were understandably high. Yet after watching these few episodes, I find myself questioning not only his reputation, but also the public’s taste and discernment.
