BEST VERTICAL DRAMA ❤️
100000000000000000000000/10What an incredible drama, this was the best vertical drama I've ever watched! From beginning to end it's perfect, very funny, I laughed so much my stomach hurt, the best part is that there aren't those intrigues between women and ML is in love with FL, she does everything to get a divorce and he does everything to avoid it (I swear, it's very funny), it's very good, I highly recommend it!!! 🤣❤️
BR:
MELHOR DRAMA VERTICAL ❤️

Passionate & tender moments + superb acting made this an A
I was in the mood for Yue Yu Ting's drama so I decided to watch this drama today. The video on Dramazone had 1 million views and wow, this drama met my expectations. I enjoyed it immensely. What I liked:
1. Romance - Passionate & tender. ML couldn't stop kissing FL at every opportunity and FL seemed to enjoy whenever she was kissed. I also enjoyed the sweet couple moments e.g. award celebration. You can see ML's gratitude during that scene.
2. FL characterisation - She was humble, hardworking and kind. She knew her true north and was proud of her achievements. It's easy to love her.
3. ML characterisation - Cheeky and in some ways, possessive. He was skeptical of FL's intentions but that did not stop him from loving FL.
4. Styling - I really liked her wardrobe - very chic. The dresses she tried on during her shopping trip were gorgeous on her. I also liked ML's wardrobe.
5. Supporting characters - I liked the lady who pursued ML then became FL's buddy. Unexpected moment there! Mr Ji, CEO of Voyage, was mysterious and oh I liked his arc. I also liked FL's adoptive father. The phone call was moving.
6. Acting - Superb performances by Yue Yu Ting, Lu Huan Yu and the cast.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - FL's sister was a bimbo. Their former classmate Ms Su was delusional. I also hated all the goons who supported her.
2. Deception - I disliked ML for concealing his identity to FL. She was right to be mad at him for being duped.
Favourite scene
When FL confronted ML about his hidden identity

The Land Gives as long as we look after it with love and care
I went into this drama not knowing what to expect and boy, I am glad that I watched it. I want to recommend this drama to other viewers. Before I start my review in earnest, I would like to add that I do think that this drama is more for mature viewers. It is not an idol type of drama. It is not a romance-centred type of drama. What I Liked A Lot:
- The cast was amazing. The actors and actresses did not have "ou bao" and were not obsessed with posturing and being peacocks for the audience. The cast looked almost perennially dirty and shabby and yet, they shone because of their stellar acting. Every single actor and actress did his or her part beautifully. I believed that they were who they portrayed themselves to be in the drama. Big thumbs-up for the solid acting. For example, I was very moved by how Ning Xue Xiang squeezed his son, Ning Ke Jin, when he came back after a long time. The father missed the son and wanted to know that he had truly come home. He wanted to feel his physical presence. It was so poignantly done. Ning Xiu Xiu's growth and development was great to watch too. I liked how she came to love Feng Da Jiao who had, from the start, loved her and did not look down on her in anyway at all. She was fine the way she was and whatever way it was. His love for her was solid and faithful. We need more of such sincere love and such upright people.
- The plot was excellent. Essentially, everything was explained and things came full circle. For instance, the bandit shouted that Ning Xiu Xiu remained pure despite being in their den and everyone was highly relived that she was pure and inviolated. As a viewer, I too felt immense gratification to have this important knowledge shared with those who needed to know. Next, the part about how everyone came together to fight the bandits was very riveting and so moving, I was hooked by the force of how they came together as a force to reckon with to keep the baddies out. Furthermore, different actors and actresses all had their important moments. For instance, the silly lass had a baby and Tie Tou adopted the boy. Yin Zi old man and had him wrapped around her little finger which was so gratifying to watch too. The plot was truly excellent.
- The ending was good too. I liked how Ning Xue Xiang decided to burn his crops and not give them to the Japanese. However, it was sad that Susu died. Susu’s life and that of her sister-in-law’s were sad to watch. I wished that they had a better outcome and ending.
I’d say, there’s a lot to like for this drama. Thus, I’m not going to do a “What I Didn’t Like” for this review.
This is a superbly made drama with an outstanding cast. I’d say it’s more for mature viewers but it’s truly an excellent drama.

the rates should be higher
I’ve just finished watching The Journey of Legend, and I have to say the ratings and comments I’ve seen don’t do it justice. A score of 7.8 feels far too low—this drama deserves at least an 8.9. The cast is phenomenal, true professionals who bring their characters to life with depth and emotion. The main character especially is outstanding, with incredible presence and even a kind of “chemistry with himself” that makes his dual roles fascinating to watch. Episode 27, in particular, was unforgettable. At first, I wasn’t impressed. I thought, “Why isn’t he strong right from the beginning?” But as the story unfolded, I realized how important that slow start was. We got to witness the hero’s growth and transformation, which made the journey far more rewarding. His second persona, Li Chen Zhou, was brilliant. The emperor, on the other hand, frustrated me so much that I almost disliked the actor himself! And honestly, they didn’t need to kill off so many characters—but I’ll leave that aside.
In the end, this drama is truly excellent. Every time Cheng Yi’s character died, I cried. His acting talent is remarkable, and I sincerely hope we’ll see him in many more Wuxia dramas. The Journey of Legend is a series that combines emotional depth, strong performances, and memorable storytelling—it’s one I’ll remember for a long time.

Enjoyable but completely off the rails!
I have mixed feelings about this adaptation. I enjoyed it, but was also really annoyed by many of its aspects. The first half was quite good, even though I thought it was too silly, made took things too lightly, and was a little slow. But after that ended and the second half started, it was just a crazy, nonsensical roller coaster. As if they tried to make up for the slower first half, they included all the drama from the novel into a few episodes, and it felt extremely forced and rushed. I don't even have the energy to write all the problems with this show, so read my summary points below or other reviews which also talk about these issues.- Huge differences between manhwa and drama, mainly in the last episodes
- Weird pacing and balance between drama and romance/fluff
- The first half is too silly, and the second has too much drama
- Last episode should have been only the epilogue
- Completely forgotten about Ms. Cha (stepmother of ml and mother of his sister)
- Grandfather hada completely different character
- The last episodes completely stopped making sense, and have gone nuts with the drama
- Terrible soundtrack
So if you read the manhwa like me or the original web novel, steer far away from this one because you will only be annoyed, but if you didn't read them, you will probably quite enjoy this show.

Power Couple Energy in a World of War and Strategy
I went into this drama with absolutely no expectations, and it completely blew me away. From the very first scene of the female lead, I was already hooked. We often see strong male leads in historical dramas, but seeing such a physically powerful, intelligent, and confident female lead felt like a breath of fresh air. Watching the two leads fight together, plan together, and stand side by side made the story instantly engaging. One of my favorite parts of the drama was the war and strategy scenes in the later episodes. Many historical dramas gloss over large scale battles, but this one actually showed soldier formations, tactical movement, and leadership in detail. It made the wars feel real instead of decorative. Every scene where the leads fought together, or even against each other, carried tension and excitement.
The chemistry between the main leads builds beautifully and naturally. Unlike dramas where romance suddenly appears and conflicts disappear overnight, here their relationship grows through distrust, hidden identities, shared danger, and mutual respect. They start wary of each other, constantly testing intentions, and that slow progression makes their bond feel earned. What makes it special is that their love is healthy. They support each other without losing their own goals or identities.
The battle scenes are grand and well directed. The female lead is spontaneous and bold, while the male lead is strategic and calculating, which makes them a perfect balance. There is also suspense around the mastermind behind the chaos and wars, which keeps the plot engaging beyond just romance.
What stands out is the portrayal of strong women who are both skilled fighters and intelligent leaders. The drama balances action with humor and tenderness, making it well rounded instead of heavy. The production quality, martial arts choreography, cinematography, and acting are all solid. The romance stays realistic. They flirt, care, and desire each other, but they never forget their responsibilities and missions.
The story begins more martial arts focused and slowly leans into political intrigue, and that transition works beautifully. Nothing feels wasted. The romance, the politics, and the personal ambitions all connect naturally. Their love story is enviable. Each is self sufficient, and together they are stronger. When the male lead chooses her over the world, it feels emotional rather than reckless because she truly becomes his home.
Zhao Lusi shines once again. Her character is well written, confident, and layered. She truly feels like a girl boss without losing vulnerability. Yang Yang surprised me in the best way. This was my first drama with him, and he fits the role perfectly. His character is methodical, witty, ambitious, yet deeply caring. Not everyone can pull off that top bun, but he definitely did. More importantly, he made the character emotionally believable.
The supporting cast is also strong, and the story is not afraid to hurt you. Characters are lost like in Game of Thrones style storytelling, and you really feel the weight of those deaths. The plot of Who Rules the World is well crafted, weaving action, romance, suspense, and politics seamlessly. The twists, character growth, and emotional payoff keep you invested until the end.
Overall, Who Rules the World is a powerful blend of action, romance, strategy, and loyalty. It delivers strong leads, meaningful battles, natural chemistry, and a satisfying emotional journey. It is one of those historical dramas that reminds you why you love the genre in the first place.

What if Strong ML & Strong FL conquers?
I watched this because of He Jianqi and Meng Na collaboration. This drama show obviously high budget for short drama. The pacing was fast, the entire cast delivered excellent performances, and the costumes and makeup were beautiful expect Meng Na obvious wig. The voice acting was quite destroyer of this drama. If you understand this drama, it was actually decent one. Since they explore more supporting character story, you need some brain to think and remember. There are almost no villains, and most of the characters are normal. The legal and monetary systems are normal. The pacing is tight, with no unnecessary trope. Even in this film, it's quite obvious that the ML's background is stronger than the FL's, and he does help her solve problems. However, the camera focuses on the FL's perspective.
ML knows what the FL is thinking, understands her methods and vision, so he goes along with it to help her. They are mortal enemies, yet they understand each other best. Their tacit understanding of each other, their scheming and manipulative relationship, intertwined with their bittersweet emotional entanglement, is delicious. Another appealing aspect of this film is that ML openly expresses his love for the FL later on, never taking off his ring, constantly calling her "wife," and even kissing her. But FL doesn't believe he truly loves her, questioning him every time, and becoming even more convinced that he's joking, has ulterior motives, or is plotting something.
Recommended to watch.

Don't listen to others, just watch it.
This is one my most favorite Cdramas out there. One of the few that made me think, "Wow, so China can do it as well if they tried". I watched this on a whim and just got hooked instantly on episode 1! It's been a while since I've watched this but I'm only giving a review now because I didnt have an account back then. Still, this cdrama left a very positive impression on me that I won't forget.Let me start with the female lead, Tian Xiwei, normally I wouldn't care to remember anyone's real name in a drama but she just perfectly executed her character and left me in a jaw drop. I then looked on the internet and found out that she's literally called the Sweetheart of china. She just nails the playful WuZhen at day and the cold cat lord Wu Zhen at night. Super impressed by her and this is the first time I've watched her in a drama.
The production of this drama and execution is so good too. I love every part of it as well as the writing and the osts. Literally I have nothing but praises for this drama, so if you're wondering if you wanna try it, just go for it. Overall, 9.5/10.

good vibes only
This was an incredibly enjoyable watch. So much so that I binged the whole thing in a day. It includes so many cliche tropes known to romance genre but they are very well used. Incredibly rich guy with generational wealth meets the financially struggling girl with bubbly personality and a passion for architecture which happens to be his job and from that moment, the universe decides these two need to coincidently connect many many many times. They end up being neighbors and wouldn't you know also co workers. This trope is so old fashioned I didn't know I can enjoy it still but I did. I wasn't even trying to guess the next thing,( something I've been doing unconsciously, ruining many dramas for myself) even blocking any guess you could say. I was just enjoying the moment. Seeping in the beautiful visuals of Shanghai city and main leads chemistry. It has a decent plot, amazing performances from actors, gorgeous cinematography, memorable dialogue and maintains a good pace through out. The story itself is nothing revolutionary but its told well. And big kudos to styling department especially for the scenes from the game. Hu Xiu has many dresses I love to steal.
Let talk about the game: Its the best part of the story both visually and story wise. Its a murder mystery pretend game in republic era where players are given instruction cards explaining their fake identities and missions. Our male lead has a secret second job as an important NPC in this game as an cutthroat general and female lead loves playing it mostly to have a chance at defeating said general.
First of all if such game existed around me I would be broke. The setting is so gorgeous its crazy.
Second of all it was a great concept for the story. They go there to escape reality. To finally be in control of what goes on their lives. As they get to know each other the two worlds start bleeding into one another forcing them to confront realities they were running from but at the end everything turns out just fine. One learns to communicate the other learns to draw boundaries
From then on its just more tropes getting piled up. Especially the love triangle here is on old formula. Early 2000s kdrama loved this. You can see that it was written with care. The plot is cohesive making you root for characters and no character is unnecessary. The writers enjoyed writing and actors enjoyed playing this tropey story so we enjoy it too.

Nope
I wish I could turn back time and not watch the first 2eps of this show....1. bombardment with disappointing AI slop
2. the OSTs: I know they're there to signal "what's going on where" in the show, but the viewers have eyes, ears and COMMON SENSE to decipher what's in front of them. The sounds in the funny scenes were over the top and forceful, the transition between OSTs was not always smooth, and many of them were unnecessary.
3. the show is just NC scenes, then one line of certain tropes presented as "plot"
4. the acting: WHY OH WHY is Peach acting like someone that's made it their life goal to be a mistress/side chick and presenting that as being "coy" in front of Sasom? Why is Sasom kinda posturing and not put off by this obvious fakeness? Based on his upbringing, shouldn't Sasom be able to tell when ppl are acting fake of front of him?
Why does In stand/talk like an NPC? Only Peach's best friend is acting normal rn and I'm even scared that's gonna change later on.
I already find the show less than mediocre, and i hear that Sasom wants to be called DADDY next week.........I'M OUT😂

Second couple story is so good.
I love the second couple on this drama. That's what im just gonna say since its been a while since i've watched this and cant really remember much but I remember the second couple being the best on this, 8/10 imo.I think the drama is great overall but I don't think its the best there is, also as much as I loved Kim Sejeong, I dont think she was the right fit here, she fits the fmc that has amnesia but for the Queen, not so much since the Queen is kinda the opposite of fmc's character.

What a beautiful historical drama.
I didn't know that this was based on true historical events and characters I'm not gonna lie, not until the very last episode where they showed on screen the text of what happened after. Probably the only cdrama that made me look up the characters and check their wikis, and even looked at the life back during the Qing Dynasty. I was so invested lol. So invested in reading wiki, I made it to Wu Zetianm Four beauties of China, etc. like bruh I don't how I even got there lmao.My favorite character is definitely Chenbi or the Noble lady Shun. I think her introduction into the very later episodes, just when we all thought no new character is gonna be introduced anymore, is brilliant imo. Her perfect character was just *chef's kiss*. Probably the only character in a Cdrama that have fooled me twice. Like I really fell for it when she said she wants to help Yinglou and the 2nd male lead because she was previously saved by him. I really wanted to cry at that time coz wdym you're not a part of the good gang T_T. Anyways, she quickly rosed as one of my most favorite characters in watching cdramas.
I think the part that I didnt really like is the emperor, like they tried to make him as someone competent but it doesnt really show. He's the most annoying emperor/king I've probably encountered.

Wang Xiaoyi and Wang Yanxin quite match for stoic character.
I watched this last year because nice premise and it turned out it was average. Both actor was quite stoic but it was decent watch.Wang Yanxin is perfect for playing a role within the system; his restraint and stoicism are very captivating. Furthermore, the ML's character is well-developed; he later realizes what he wants and bravely pursues love without hesitation.
FL seducing the ML for medical expenses, later develops feelings but isn't love-struck; she's capable of self-preservation, doesn't need help in dangerous situations, is kind and rational, and always prioritizes her life and career. I quite like this show, but the FL's seduction of the ML in the first few episodes was a bit awkward and didn't feel quite right.
Wang Xiaoyi dance shows her amateur level and it can be the problem since the FL job was dancer. Many of the dance moves are poorly handled. The production team should have hired a professional dance teacher to choreograph them.
The plot is plausible, and both the main and supporting characters are well-developed and memorable, such as the second uncle and ML's mother.
You can watch this if you dont have any idea to watch.

Good premise, but overrated.
I'm gonna be honest. I don't really know how this got such a high rating. I think this one is overrated imo.First things first, I think episode 1 was good, not until they introduced Jiangli and her maid. There's just no way that they are introducing two characters that just mogs the main character and make her look like the side character instead. I think it was bad casting tbh, original Jiangli and Tong er is just way too pretty.
But the main thing that I really don't like about this drama is the writing/script. This drama had such bad and unnatural dialogues, it was making me cringe by what I'm reading the whole time. The premise of this show was so good as well but the writing just ruined it.
I think the best part of this drama is definitely the Princess Wanning and Jiang Ruo Yao's arcs. I can't really comment on the other parts as the bad writing puts me off every time. The production was good tho.
I honestly think people only gave this a high rating because the main actress played the main character in Story of Yanxi palace which was a really good show and a very popular one.
Overall, a 6.5 and that's me being tempered.

Recoss
Honestly, it was hard for me to move on from the past dramas I watched, but this one felt different. It reminded me why I should keep watching Chinese dramas. Cheng Xingxu completely nailed his role here. I have seen many of his dramas before, but this one really stood out and made me appreciate him even more.As for the music and OST, it did not have a huge impact on me. I did not mind it, but it was not something that stayed with me throughout the drama. That said, there were a few moments where the OST worked well, and if a song truly connects with me, I usually save it.
In terms of rewatch value, I personally would not prioritize rewatching this drama. Not because it was bad, but because I would rather spend my time discovering new stories instead. Overall, this drama left a meaningful impression and reaffirmed my love for Chinese dramas, mainly because of the acting and emotional impact rather than the music.
