Probably the quickest drop
This is probably the quickest that I ever dropped a drama .. just 2 episodes in and I knew I won't be able to tolerate this till the end. Watching third episode was already test of patience.Reasons this didn't worked out for me:
1) lead characters are not inspiring enough : the big fat bully Male lead who forced the demon lord fella to give his core even when clearly demons were the first ones to suffer.. I have zero to negative affinity for such protagonists.. he borrowed the power of FL divine fire and bullied the third party .. I mean what's next , giving him nobel peace prize for this? .
The FL character is equally bogus .. she has absolutely no say in anything ..whosoever takes her power for their use ..she literally like the stinky towel wrestler use after each rounds to wipe them off.
2) main cast : I don't know if the character disappointed me more or the cast .. not a fan of yun long nothing about his acting or looks fancy me ..just not my type. He is old enough yet his acting is so mediocre, I mean what's his excuse ?? there are so many actors like geng xin ( lead from legend of shen li) who are about his age but you can clearly see the difference in quality of their performance.
Female lead was fine . though over shadowed by the sizzling guest appearances.
3) A big bouquet of popular faces but plot was not doing any justice , looks like they spent all budget on cast and no allowances remain to hire a good writer .
4) I watched till ep 3 but I already knew this show is going to have an unnecessarily long list of characters.. well I don't mind if the story is good .. but I cant say that for this one.
And let’s be real—if I pushed through two more episodes, I’d find five more reasons to ghost this drama, so why waste the brain cells?
Will i ever be revisiting this ?
Hell No .. I will chose watching something like moonlight mystique tenth time with eating plain oats over watching this even once.
PS: 3 out the 3.5 star rating I gave, goes to ming hao ..boy saved the day for me ❤️

reset made me lose it (in the best way possible)
i think i can safely say that i loved it. i’ve always liked dramas that stress you out and make you wish everything gets resolved already so you can stop losing your mind, and this was exactly that. i spent the whole time making theories, being suspicious of everyone, laughing, crying, getting mad… there was even a point where i almost dropped it, not because it was bad, but because i was so stressed i couldn’t take it anymore (though obviously i didn’t, it was way too good to stop watching).the story, even though it’s about a time loop, doesn’t feel repetitive at all. each loop brings something new and it’s super interesting to see how they handle every one. i really liked both leads, i didn’t know the actress before, but she did such a good job. you could really feel every emotion she was trying to show. i also liked getting to know the background of each character, it gave the story a lot more depth.
i usually don’t mention music much, but i have to say the ending song, “my only” by zhou shen, really stood out to me. from the first episode, it caught my attention and fit the vibe of the drama perfectly.
i loved it. it was intense, exciting, well acted, and had a story that really pulled me in. i wouldn’t mind rewatching it someday just to catch little details i might’ve missed the first time.

An Absolute Masterpiece
Dear Hongrang is a masterpiece that captivates from beginning to end. The storyline is amazing—richly layered with emotional depth, cultural nuance, and compelling twists that keep viewers fully engaged.
The cast is exceptionally talented, bringing their characters to life with great acting that feels both genuine and powerful. Each performance adds emotional weight to the drama, making every scene resonate deeply.
What makes Dear Hongrang especially poignant and moving is its exploration of love, sacrifice, and identity. The emotional undercurrents are skillfully portrayed, leaving a lasting impact.
Visually, the drama is a treat. The excellent cinematography captures both the grandeur and intimacy of the story, enhancing the narrative without overshadowing it.
Altogether, Dear Hongrang is a remarkable drama that combines stellar storytelling, exceptional performances, and stunning visuals. A true gem worth watching.

Zhang Jingyi’s Bold Charm Meets Xiao Zhan’s Intensity
After so many days, I'm finally watching a Zhang Jingyi drama again — and also a Xiao Zhan drama! Let me talk about Xiao Zhan first. His acting here is so powerful 😭 and he’s insanely handsome. I seriously can’t take my eyes off him. I originally started this drama for the Zhang Jingyi and Xiao Zhan pairing, but now I’m falling hard for Xiao Zhan.In just one episode, he’s already showing us his innocent side, his thirst for revenge, and his good looks. After watching the first episode, I cried a lot and thought, “Yes, we need revenge!” His acting is truly praiseworthy — I honestly can't put it into words.
Now about Zhang Jingyi — as a fan of hers, I can say this role is completely different from her previous ones. She’s extroverted, cunning, and a total badass lead here. I’m eagerly waiting to see more scenes of her with Xiao Zhan. I already know she has great chemistry with her co-stars, and this time is no exception. Even though they’ve had only a few scenes together so far, they’re killing me with their chemistry.

Great Actors with excellent chemistry between them
The Best New Drama from 2025 do far, the script so simple , how the director put all the ingredients i to this story a good storyteller , Liu Yuning is getting better and better I’m do glad for him, and Song Zuer the first time I saw her wws on The Demon’s Hunter and I liked very much her acting, but in this drama she’s awesome , the plot between the Main characters, sometimes they don’t have a dialogue, but those silent scenes are great, the couple They communicate with each other with furtive glancesWas this review helpful to you?

If you like Welcome to Waikiki (Eulachacha Waikiki), you'll love this!
My opinion, this series absolutely hilarious and easy-to-watch, it's been a long time since I've enjoyed a comedy k-drama. It's giving the same vibe as Waikiki because it's setting in workplace, leans more towards bromance/friendship (found family), have multiple love interest and comforting characters! both main leads also have the opposites-attract (grumpy x drama queen) but still work out as a team. The support roles also cute (i adores them so much). the main points is just try giving it a shot (i find the very 2 episodes boring and dumb but it's getting better and better in episode 3!). I'm dare to say all the male characters are green flags when it's comes to relationship (I REALLY LOVE KANG PD AND SCREENWRITER WANG LOVE STORY).Last but not least, this show taught me to get to know more people before you judge them, my introvert side will never match their energy and personality but once i adapt and accept it, they're very loud (maybe some of you will find their characters annoying) but they all have very warm heart!! i'm very relatedtable with lee minjae as an ISTJ need to work with loud and crazy people everyday.

Its good but not super good .
im loving everything bout this drama except A LOT of cut scenes ? the story feel like it rushing to end it and throughout to the end suddenly FL get back with ML without proper show how the progress of her opening up to him again, like it so sudden for her to soften her heart . I saw a lot of vid for their suppose scene were cut, if they didnt cut those scenes it will be more proper explain of the storyline . They shoulda stick to 30ep instead cut it till become 28ep only that aired ! The romance too , there were suppose to have a scene where they do a passionate kiss but it were freakin cut 😭The promo poster of the two bear , there also a scene for that , they did wore it , it was during those progress where they will get back as a couple again and it was cut 😭😭😭
a lot literally A LOT good scenes were NOT include , that was sooo disappointing bout this drama . Its good but if just the production/editing team do better job , it will be easy to rate 10 but ugh i dont mind the long flashback cause thats how in the novel too .
btw Sabrina is so pretty ! I've been hook with her drama since then , i love the Mountain and Ocean and You Are Desire . The best drama from her .

An uncomfortable student x teacher drama... which is why it's a gem
This was the most uncomfortable dorama that I’ve ever watched with characters that made so many wrong decisions along the way.Which is why it’s my favorite JDrama of all time.
To note, I hate student-teacher dramas with a passion. I hate that it tries to romanticize a very serious issue regarding a relationship between a minor and an adult, and in some cases they try to condone it; saying that the minor is “mature for their age” and the adult “cannot choose who they love.” Chugakusei Nikki absolutely did NOT go that route.
Instead, it presented the relationship as it is in reality: a uncomfortable relationship that shouldn’t happen, and why it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Here, the characters are portrayed as they would in real life. Hijiri, the teacher, is recognized to be an adult where everyone expects her to have good reason, but she did not. Akira, the student, is presented to be immature, impulsive, and passionate; just like an actual teenager and not that “mature for his age” type of guy. It clearly showed that even though there is an emotional foundation for the development of their feelings, the unequal maturity level between both Hijiri and Akira were the ultimate teller of the downfall of their relationship. The show never once shied away from this fact, and even reinforced it. In the end, [SPOILER ALERT] even both Hijiri and Akira realized this fact, and voluntarily decided to back away. For Hijiri, she realized that she was getting in the way of Akira fully realizing his true potential and dream of the future. For Akira, he realized how much of Hijiri’s life was disrupted and destroyed simply because of their relationship. While they've made a LOT of bad decisions that I would never agree with in real life, finishing the drama left me feeling so empty; I felt pain for the characters, that remained even after hours after watching (like what I felt with the ending of Your Name).
Moreover, the side characters are not one-dimensional, especially Akira’s mother. Despite the occasional use of ominous music as Akira’s mother tries to interfere with the relationship of the leads, the show has made it VERY clear that she only does it out of pure love and concern for her son, rather than just being antagonistic. The poignant moments where she tries to fight for Akira’s future, even at the expense of her own son hating her, was heartbreaking. Because in real life, a mother’s love would always choose their children’s well-being even if it meant that their children would see them as a “bad guy.” I felt particularly empathetic of the mother in one episode, after [SPOILER ALERT] Hijiri has signed a legal document promising to never meet Akira again after her persistence. Instead of bragging this signed document right in front of Akira’s face, she instead chose to calmly relay Hijiri’s choice to Akira. She even explained that Hijiri’s decision to stay out of Akira’s life was made out of love, and encourages Akira to think how he could respond to this act of love. This, for me, made her a very empowered character, and I never thought she was a villain.
Technicalities wise, all the cast exhibited strong performances. In particular, Arimura Kasumi, Yoshida Yoh, and Natsukawa Yui delivered the best performances amongst all the actors. They portrayed the characters with so much sincerity and you can feel their own pains and regrets. Mizukami Koshi, on the other hand, delivered a good performance that it's shocking to know that Chugakusei Nikki is his very first ever acting project. He naturally showed the impulsiveness of being a 15 year old boy (which, tbh required more from him since he was 19 at the time of filming and had the build of a 19 year old too). While there are areas for improvement, he undeniably showed good potential which is why he's named a rising star.
Lastly, the SOUNDTRACK. IT HAS THE BEST SOUNDTRACK AMONGST ALL THE DRAMAS I'VE WATCHED. It contributed SO much to the emotional weight of the story and it matches the tone of each scene well. I still play the soundtrack to this very day, years after the drama ended.
Ultimately, this show was one of the very few gems where you have to be open to watching it, to be able to be comfortable with the discomfort it brings, before you can truly realize how special it really is. At the end of the day, it makes you realize why love is never enough and that sometimes love is in the form of selflessness.

Pls dont always believe the reviews, try watch it yourself .
The reviews for this story here make it seems like the drama is worst and not worth to watch . Its not even that bad, kt can easily pass 8.0 out of 10 rating . Most of people also review that it lack of romance , like they want more kiss scene . Not all drama need a lot of kiss scene to make it as romance, there's a lot other way to show romance is . This story is how they grow up endure the pain, struggle together despite their family problem . The youth friendship, young-adult people who first time fall in love .Its the way how you see the meaning of life that will effect on how you view this drama . If you are someone who like romance a lot , sweet scenes , not a fan of conflict , its not recommend to watch it cause it will break your expectation . This drama barely have romance BUT their deep eye love staring , warm hugs , awkward-cute hands holding live it up for their young-adult romance , its really cute to ignore tbh .
Just how real life is, not all relationship need to be romance, hyper-active all the time . Some just keep low, support and trust each other but still both know they will always have each other side no matter what happen , one of mature way of relationship .
Clear your mind and start watch this drama only when you are not in any expectation . Pls dont trust all reviews since different people have different genre taste and expectation that they like . Start watch it yourself and give it a rate based on how you see the drama is :)

Resident Playbook: Nostalgic and Heavily Dependent on Former Series
I have a tendency to watch some of the most formative dramas during my exam season.Last year, I had two weeks filled with exams, and to keep myself from getting stressed, I decided to start a little K Drama called My Liberation Notes. It had a few quotes I saw online, and some beautiful characters, so I thought what harm would it do to start the show and just watch an episode a day?
Five days, sixteen episodes, and three crucial exams later, I had finished the whole series, and my life forever changed. My Liberation Notes, and it's anthem of "Something Good Will happen today" continues to echo on my lockscreen and everything I o. Son Sukku and Kim Jiwon continue to live on in my heart.
Obviously, I didn't expect Resident Playbook to have the same effect. But somehow it did.
All the actors were enthralling, and absolutely played their part perfectly: the bored Yiyoung, the bright Jaeil, the stubborn Sabi, and the romantic that is Namkyung. All of the characters were lovely, and their actors were even better. The fact that this is Han Yeji's (Sabi's) acting debut is insane, and I hope to see her blossom in other dramas as well.
I also want to give a shoutout to the actor that is Kang Youseok. I thought he looked familiar in the show, but kind of brushed it off as he may have looked like a character from When Life Gives You Tangerines. Then after a bit of a deep dive, I realized that he was in WLGYT, but a few years before that he was on a little show called Light on Me, where he played the main character. I, of course, genuinely DIED when I found that out because, WHAT??!! HE WAS SHINWOO FROM LIGHT ON ME??!! CLUMSY, INTROVERTED SHINWOO??!! And I think that shows how good of an actor he is, so props to him.
I apologize that was a bit off topic with the rant, but ANYWAYS.
So yes, of course the acting was phenomenal as expected, but the story?? well....
I didn't love the story. I didn't really like Yiyoung's motivations at all. I know it was important to the development of the character, but it jsut felt a bit odd. Despite the actor's best efforts, all the characters felt a bit two-dimensional. I am going to be honest, I don't think there are any character's that I am going to necessarily remember or anything. I think this is going to just become a show I watched. And I think that's okay.
I think the one thign that kept me going through this show were the CAMEOS, which I was so excited for. I really liked how Junwan's cameo was so him: I absolutley loved it. And Andrea's cameo?? Guys, I sobbed my eyes out it wasn't even funny. The depiction of grief was so honest and real that my heart genuinely hurt. Ikjun and Songhwa's cameo was amazing of course, and seeing them on screen in the same manner as usual, but just a bit more intimate made me so happy. Lastly, the fact that I got to see Seokhyung and Chu Min Ha on the same screen again??!! Words cannot describe how ecstatic I was.
So ya, overall, I believe the cameos really did carry. However, there was something also special about the year that this show was set in.
2023 was genuinely one of the most interesting years of my life. I was going through the worst heartbreak, was living one of the best memories, and was battling my inner demons if you will every day. I thought I wasn't really going to make it out the same way I did. I was in such a hole all year, and was miserable to everyone around me all year. However, when 2024 was about to come, I swore to myself that I was going to make it the best year ever, and that I wasn't going to let everything from 2023 follow me into 2024.
And it didn't.
So there was a bit of a sentimental thing going on with the year that this was set, which is why I may have liked it as much as I did. And if you are maybe looking for a piece of home, and a piece of yourself, maybe you can find it in this drama.

- Non con is still SA
- SA is a major deal
- Trauma porn is exhausting
Now I am being a major hypocrite by giving it a 7/10. But despite throwing up in my mouth from the "plot", I could not stop watching. I guess Boom "got me infatuated.. Just by the way that" he acts LOL!
I'd still recommend it. And we NEED to talk about all the problematic parts.

A Phenomenal Journey Which You Become A Part Of!!!
Once in a while comes a drama that is little over-the-top and yet a perfect slice of romance!Sequel to the popular 2019 hit “Hospital Playlist”, “Resident Playbook” doesn’t immediately offer solace or warmth that was so characteristic of its predecessor. The show revolves around four very burned, unsure resident doctors who are still finding their own path. That being said, this isn’t their individual journey, the storytelling focuses on the inner workings of the OB-GYN, something that has never been catered too before. In the backdrop are the lives and journeys of our first year residents who are trying to figure out what they want from life in general. This show doesn’t automatically turn them into geniuses without the span of twelve episodes; no it doesn’t. When the show ends, these characters are still flawed but on their way to becoming better. I loved how realistic it was, how it perceived its characters and gave them room to breathe!

Good until the last episodes.
I really enjoyed most of drama, even though the character of the female lead got really annoying at times. The first 23 episodes were good, then the last three episodes were insane. It was like the writers all got fired and they asked some drunken high school students to write the craziest scenarios they could imagine. I can't imagine what it was like for the actors to play the scenes in the last episodes. Too many Chinese dramas fall off a cliff in the last episodes - I don't know if they run out of funding and really do get some drunks to finish the scripts or what. This could have been a much better drama if the last episodes maintained the quality the others, but sadly they did not.Was this review helpful to you?
