Train to Busan is a MASTERPIECE I tell you. I don't know if anyone would agree with the perfect 10's I gave it. I just feel that it deserves such a perfect score and all the other praises it got from IMDb and movie critics alike. It's thrilling because of its genre and makes you jump out of your seat quite often. But more than anything, underneath the gore and suspense, is a story about the human heart. Train to Busan reveals just how easy it is to be compassionate when you're in your comfort zone, in that safe and secure little bubble, doing your routine everyday. But what happens when at work, a mistake effecting catastrophic consequences of exponential proportion turns everyone's world upside down and human empathy and loyalty are severely tested by nothing more than a basic human instinct to survive? Train to Busan really makes you reflect about what it really means to be human in a world where everything--and I mean everything--literally falls apart. Society and sanity break down and all anyone cares about is how to stay alive. It shows just how devastating selfishness can be and how powerful sacrificial love is.

I can't say anything else about this movie. Acting, special effects, storyline, production all perfect. If you haven't seen it, go and watch without the slightest hesitation. Be blown away by how stunning this gem is.

I'm not a fan of zombie movies, but this one...is an exception.
My first thought was: how does a zombie movie go on a train? It actually worked xD
This movie really deserved an oscar, and I think Oscars should represent Korean films as well because there are so many good ones like this, Old boy, I saw the devil, A taxi driver (I have not seen this one, but I believe it will be incredible) and there are so many freaking good actors. Anyway I enjoyed every second of this movie.
The cast made a great job.
The cinematography it's amazing.
What I really like about this movie, is the relationship between the daughter and her father.
This is a MUST-watch

The Best Zombie Film To Date

I was recommended to watch this film by a close friend of mine, he knows I love horror/drama films and the fact that it's a Korean based film is even more up my alley. Then I found out this was on Netflix, so I finally got to watch it! I can honestly say this is the strongest zombie film I've ever seen, I know that's a huge statement to make since some U.S. based zombie films are well regarded. However I have my reasons, which I will get into.

First of all whatever cameras they used to film this movie I would kill to play around with! This movie was beautiful and so crystal clear in picture. There are fantastic shots done in this film and I really appreciate it for that. Also the special effects themselves were top of the line, that deer at the beginning looked fantastic. Seeing hoards of zombies running and falling over each other like a tidal wave was horrifying, there is so much great tension in this film. Also, the actors they got to play the zombies were fantastic in the way they moved and contorted. The movie also didn't need to use disgusting visuals to get it's point across, which zombie films/series do quite often. Sure there's some of that, but its not overly grotesque.

Every character had personality. I don't personally know any of the actors in this film (update: now I do lol!), but they made a lasting impact on me! Everyone was great, but the 2 that stood out the most to me were the dad (Seok-woo) played by Yoo Gong and Yong-guk played by Woo-sik Choi (update: who's my boy now haha). Both played emotion with such expression and guttural tones that I felt their performances were the most noteworthy. Also... Woo-sik Choi is very cute, so I'll be checking him out in "Parasite" as well (update: lmao sorry for the updates, but I did see him in Parasite and he's even better there!)

When characters die throughout this movie, you feel the loss. Which is the greatest compliment you can give a film like this. Seriously though I never in a million years thought a zombie film would make me cry, this one did that to me TWICE. Holy crap what a tear jerker, I won't spoil it but be prepared to have your heart broken. The action and drama flowed very well together, even when the scenes were slower paced I was still completely invested. Definitely check this one out and give foreign films a chance! Don't use reading subtitles as an excuse to skip fantastic movies like this one, it just makes you look lazy!

One of the best zombie movies i have ever seen! Everything about will make you love it.

It's scary. The zombies are the most bizarre looking things. They are running around, bitting others heads off. And then the noises. Wow! Is so good. You will enjoy it. I mean even Goblin screamed shit when he watched it (That was a Goblin reference).
The story is amazing. The dialogues are beautiful. The cast was perfect. And Gong Yoo was pretty amazing in it. Love him.

It is a really good watch in a rainy night with the lights turned off.

could’ve been different but still i <3 it

as someone who ugly sobs at the ending.. i really wish the ending was different but i think if they add made it different, it wouldn’t be as powerful as it was.. i’d love a part two and i don’t mean the one that already exists because that was garbage. a part 2 showing the aftermath of the situation. just throwing out some ideas on what i would’ve loved… part 2 but it takes 1 year later and we get the typical flashbacks of the aftermath.. would’ve loved the pregnant woman and dad together honestly but that’s just me loving romance.. but then again it’s far fetched as you could tell she was in love with her husband but seeing her connect and protect someone’s child? could’ve been a BOMB stepmother as the child’s mom was still alive (i’m pretty sure) either way this movie is worth all of the hype as it’s not your typical zombie movie tbh, the storyline may be typical but the feelings ? def not and the music choices? amazing.

jumpscares, laughs and tension (oooooo) and handsome faces

this was brilliant. i loved it so much and it got me so engaged, there wasn't a moment where this film didn't have my full attention. i'll rewatch this again some time and for those who like zombie/thriller movies, this is definitely a must watch! i watched this with my family and everyone loved it. Also got to love Gong Yoo (has to be one of my favourite Korean actors/actors of all time. Every character played a big part, nothing was meaningless although the tension and angst did make me shout at the characters quite a few times. i really could not recommend this enough. it was also really funny, i don't know what else i could've asked for.

Thrilling Zombie Masterpiece

"Train to Busan" is an exhilarating rollercoaster of tension, heart-pounding action, and unbreakable human spirit. A perfect 10/10! From the first electrifying moment, I was hooked. The dynamic characters are flawlessly portrayed, making their plight all the more gripping. The film's confined setting, the train, intensifies the suspense, and the zombies are terrifyingly realistic. But what truly sets this movie apart is its emotional depth. The father-daughter relationship at its core tugs at heartstrings, adding a poignant layer to the chaos. Each scene is a pulse-pounding delight, with the relentless pace leaving no room for boredom. "Train to Busan" is a triumph of storytelling, blending horror and humanity seamlessly. This cinematic gem deserves every star and more!

It's a no for me.

Could've been a good movie, especially with the train aspect but I didn't like it. The actors were so slow, like they were waiting for the zombies to almost get to them before they start running. I wasn't attached to any character because their storylines were boring. Like the guy from the high school sports team. Also the "villain" was plain annoying. He had no storyline, no substance, nothing. I only liked the ending because at least that was realistic. The zombies were good too. But that's it

I think every character in this movie represents a certain kind of person in society, selfish, kind, self-sacrificial, etc. Although the degree of character portrayal in the movie is different, they all clearly reflect the essence of each character. In the process from Seoul to Busan, every incident has its own meaning. The screenwriter really Very attentive.

THE MUST WATCH ZOMBIE MOVIE

I’m an avid zombie watcher and this really ranks high!!!! though the plot is fairly common, they really pull up in esp with the movie happening in the confines of a train. with the larger story of zombies, there’s an added layer of depth we get as we look into the families, their dynamics, and their personalities. this movie manages to do so much in its runtime. I’ve rewatched this multiple times and it always manages to make me cry. though there are a lot of predictable moments, it’s still really enjoyable.

This movie is the first ever movie that will make me cry. I cried for 5 straight minutes. I was soo heartbroken and wasn't expecting that ending.

This movie is one hall of a scary movie. The plot and acting was so great. Almost everyone made a sacrifice just so the other person can survive. Those scenes were really heart touching and heartbreaking. The last scene where the pregnant woman and the kid were passing through a tunnal was 😭. The little kid was singing and damn i broke down into tears. Even now that im dropping my review, im near tears.

This movie is 10/10. REALLY GREAT!!
