Main Leads with great chemistry!

Started watching due to reviews… After watching the first chapter just did not want to stop. The story was smooth, the leads chemistry was on point. Story seemed interesting and their acting was on point and there always comedy embedded which made it more interesting and funny to watch. Basically enjoyed it from the beginning to the end and actually wanted it to be longer. Definitely hoping for a 2 nd season or another movie with the same leads! They looked great together on or off screen. Side actors was also on point as well. Definitely a must watch!

Forced marriage/ childhood friends to lovers

At first I really didn't like the whole forcing him into marriage, but then as I continued watching I slowly understood why. I really recommend watching this Chinese drama, it has comedy, sad scenes, romantic scenes and so many other stuff. 10/10 recommended plus if your into little kids being in drama this drama has yoyo, in the almost end yoyo is absolutely adorable and just so cute. The parts where i really loved is the little flashbacks of their happy and sad moments, and how the ml sees the fl and how the fl sees ml, the second fl and ml are hilarious they're like old married couples that got divorced and love each other again. Both the fl and the second fl have the best and amazing friendship and they support each other and give each other advices, etc.

Honestly, this story was so cheesy, I loved it. Lmfaooo. We love strong independent woman that don't need no man but even if that's the case, someone needs a little bit of love. The FL was OBXNOIOUS but not in an annoying wtf is going on way, but she was HILARIOUS. She was aggressive, sweet, caring and annoying all in one but she was a baddy too and I adored that about her. ML was sweet, amazing, tough and they just really clicked and I loved that chemistry. I thought the annoying characters were going to be worst, but it wasn't. It had some twist that were totally unnecessary and the shoe being 35 episodes was a little excessive but the chemistry was off the charts so you just gotta vibe.

I loved the chemistry between the characters, it's like no one was really that evil and I was cool with that. Everyone kind of clicked and vibed in their own way but in a positive way.

Music was chill, I wish the OST was on apple music but it's on YT fr fr.

I wouldn't rewatch it for the fact that it took me so long to even watch it in the first place, it was cool but I wouldn't have minded if it was a little shorter, towards the end it seemed kind of dragged out so I enjoyed it and the story but we could've done without all that ya feel me?

Overall, 8/10, I liked it, it was a cute watch, super vibe, just chilling.

This drama is very good and also from this drama there are many moral messages about life that can be taken from this story. Actually, I almost didn't want to continue watching this drama because I really didn't like ML's character at the beginning of the story, but I don't have any dramas that are more interesting than this drama and there is also something that makes me keep clicking on the next episode.

But fortunately the ending was good, and the character development was also visible. It's just that if you ask me about the shortcomings of this drama, in my opinion, how could someone who really hates someone be able to easily say "oh I was wrong, now I understand."

Oh yeah, one more thing, in my opinion, I suggest you stop watching until episode 35 after ML proposes to FL. I think it is the best and most touching ending to the story. after the proposal there is only a transfer of shares and some unimportant points so enjoy watching

An Uno Reverse on Cliche tropes

Warning: if you want tro watch this drama please make sure you’re looking for something light and silly
Warning:: I have spoilers written in the second half of the review

Synopsis: Lu Faning is an overbearing, pushy CEO. She stereotypically steps into a role dominated by men, and she does it well, but behind the assertion and dominance is an weight of guilt that is her driving force to fulfil three needs/wishes before the age of 30.
1. To be married
2. To have a child
3. To establish Infinity.
Enter our male lead Ling Rui, who is a sweet, sensitive doctor dedicated to his craft and his family, and the perfect foil to our female lead. Once she sets her sights on him there is no turning back. She manages to persuade him to enter a one year marriage contract in order to fulfill her three wishes, but things never go as planned.
Happy Ending: Yes!

Review:
This is something I decided to watch when I was super bored, and it did just the trick for me. I liked all the characters and their relationships with one another. I think Lu Faning has to be one of my overall favourite dramaland characters, because she does a complete 180 in the second half of the drama. We see her going from impulsive and dominant to reserved and compliant. What I really liked about her character is that she was 3 dimensional and well thought out. Yes she was overbearing, but she was a hardworker and dedicated to Infinity. She was bossy, but not cruel, observant and often very rewarding. In a role where most male leads would be creepy she didn’t give that vibe to me. Maybe it was because they introduced her issues to us earlier on and made it obvious why she chose to pursue Ling Rui? also maybe it was because she was possessive but not controlling and there wasn’t a power imbalance in their relationship, just a financial one?

Anyways… Ling Rui is still a good male lead character. Him falling for LFN first is so funny to me, because it was SO easy. I love how he had feelings for her but still held her off in order to let their relationship mature naturally. It was so cute how he’d fight with Simon and then block LFN attempts at babymaking. I do love how their relationship progresses in the first half. The other relationship are cute too. I love how PingPing gradually becomes LFN’s friend, and how they. come to cherish one another. Cai Si Yu friendship is also cute too, you see how LFN is strict, but still playful. LFN as an older sister is just as refreshing, seeing how she completely supports LFY because she wants him to be happy, sincerely. I can see why she has such a complicated relationship with her dad, but he silently supports her while she still is resentful towards him, and i do like that they resolve it in a way.

[SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!]
I expected Gao Er Fan to be the main antagonist, but I couldn’t hate him. His character was so pitiful and I can UNDERSTAND why he did what he did. I hated him in the moment, because it became a catalyst for the worst. In this half we really see LFN selfless nature, and how the trauma of her sister’s death effects her. She sees herself as a burden to everyone, and blames herself for holding everyone back. My heart broke for her in that moment as her only plausible solution was for her to take herself out of the narrative. Then six years pass and she has a child!! YouYou is adorable and I love his banter with LFN. She has obviously been a good mom the last five years but he really wants to see his dad. I think LFN set herself up by leaving with that stuffed pillow. Youyou could only come to one conclusion, that the only man for mom was dad.
EP25 and on is mostly them making up, and I love how the tables have turned. LFN is shy and trying to hide from him but Ling Rui is taking front and center. I didn’t like that his way of getting LFN to stay was threatening her with a custody battle. I loved how LFN didn’t assume that he still loved her and decided to work with him to keep Youyou. It made his battle more pleasant to watch. Them not changing numbers after 6 years and revealing that it hadn’t changed was SO hilarious. Like damn you really could’ve called her, but you didn’t. I skimmed through the other romantic plots cause I didn’t really care that much about them, but they were still cute in a way. Cai Si Yu and Little Grandpa, made me laugh so much with their fighting.

Anyways…. This was a super light drama to watch and I’d definitely rewatch it because it’s so cute and I think Zhou Yu Tong and Simon Gong are so cute together.

Perfect light and fluffy love story~

I made an account especially to write a review for this drama and because I was annoyed by some reviews lol.
DO NOT watch this drama if you're looking for an Oscar worthy story with complicated relationships and deep storytelling.
DO WATCH if you're looking for a light drama with lots of lovey moments, 2 amazing leads with lots of chemistry, lots of fluff, a strong female lead and a male lead that is caring and not a jerk.
If you're like me and you just want a nice, light, romantic drama without too many twists and turns and without having to wait till the last 3 episodes for the leads to get together or have lovey dovey moments this is the drama for you!
Oh right another thing I like is that the problems they face never last too long, its usually solved within 1 or 2 eps so that's another plus for me.

So-so…

Don’t know FL (Zhou Yutong), came for Gong Jun. I feel he could step up and choose more complicated, intense roles to
broaden his acting resumé.
Second couple ( Garvey Jin & Wu Man Si ) had a silly but sweet story.
Storyline is relatively simple minded, yet quite draggy in several episodes. If you don’t mind that, and some repetitive scenes.. it’s alright.
Both couples do not have great chemistry which fizzled out romantic scenes, but they got the msg across.
I feel this is a series to watch while cooking or light exercise.. if you miss something, 85% it may happen again, or its probably not crucial to storyline.

simple and light romance

"Begin Again" (2020), starring Gong Jun, was an enjoyable watch that I would rate 8/10. I really appreciated the simplicity of the plot, which provided a light and heartwarming romance without unnecessary complications. The drama delivered plenty of sweet and charming moments that made it a comforting escape.

However, I couldn't help but feel that the characters lacked depth. Their development felt rushed and one-dimensional, leaving me wishing for more complexity and emotional growth. A deeper exploration of their personalities and relationships would have made the story even more engaging and memorable.

Despite this, one standout element for me was the little child in the drama. Lu Youyou's presence added an extra layer of warmth and cuteness that I absolutely loved. The child's scenes brought joy and tenderness, making the drama all the more enjoyable and funny.

Overall, "Begin Again" is a pleasant and easy watch, perfect for those looking for a straightforward romance with sweet moments, even if it falls short in character depth."

A Heartwarming Journey from Convenience to True Love

A marriage of convenience that gradually blossoms into true love unfolds with interest and emotional depth. Although it begins as a rather predictable romantic comedy, Begin Again manages to evolve into a heartfelt story, thanks to the strong chemistry between its two leads, Zhou Yutong and Gong Jun.

The performances are natural, with Zhou Yutong convincingly portraying a character who is both assertive and vulnerable, while Gong Jun brings a sense of moral steadiness and tenderness to his role. The script, while staying within the familiar boundaries of the genre, offers pleasant twists, light-hearted humor, and touching scenes that keep the viewer engaged.

This is a series suited for those who enjoy love stories told at a relaxed pace, with gentle humor and a moving conclusion. Without breaking new ground, it manages to charm and deliver a thoroughly enjoyable viewing experience.

I loved the main leads, they were perfect for each other

Simon Gong has such SOULFUL eyes. I love watching his drama's. Thought it'd be weird seeing him with short hair after watching Unique Lady, but it's not. He suits long and short hair really well.
I loved him as Ling Rui. I think the role really suited him. His charecter was soft, maybe a bit too soft, but so charismatic and Simon did so well expressing this.

I loved Lu Fangning the since moment we met her:
- She's a 'Boss bitch' like Se Ri from Crash Landing on You. She's a successful business woman whose entire life at the start of the drama, is revolved around her business and succeeding in her business.
- She is very forward with her opinions like Ko Moon Young from It's Okay Not to Be Okay. They give off the same vibe to me. It's the poker face and smile. They both seem like they could explode any second. Fangning, like Moon Young also used blackmail to get the ML at first, but the ML immediately sees through her. She's also the one to first chase him and does everything to get him.

Not to mention her outfits. They were gorgeous, like all the women's outfits from above.

Ling Rui and Fangning were perfect together. Their personalities fit so well together and they completed each other. I don't mean that in a cringe way. They helped each other become their true selves and helped bring that person out.

I loved (Uncle) Simon since the beginning, but for the for the first half of the drama you don't know where he stands. Whether he is good or bad. But his charecter was hilarious throughout. After the time jump, he became the comic relief character, which I loved, but I wanted to see more of his business side. I loved his scenes with Fangning, when he's the supportive uncle and businessman. I loved his scene with Yoyo even more, it was hilarious how he became a "grandpa" and suddenly he's an old man.

Siyu really grew on me. I loved her character development and her hillarious intentions with Simon before they got into a relationship and after the time jump. I also loved her friendship with Fangning, they, looking from an objective view, didn't seem like they'd be friends, but somehow became really good friends.

I liked the second lead couple (Siyu and Simon) but only AFTER the time jump.

Tang Ping also really grew on me. I never hated her, but I did dislike her and find her annoying. But after episode 21, I LOVED her. She seemed more in love with Fangning then she ever was with Ling Riu. Who wouldn't be in love with this FL though??

A lot of reviews and comments mention how the time jump was too big. It was 6 years. But I liked it because we got to see Yoyo, Fangning's son as a really smart and adorable child and not just a baby. Yoyo was the best part of the time jump and the best character as well. All the characters also, essentially got a life after the time jump. Everyone had a career and were doing really well, maybe not Simon (I don't know what he was doing). There was also a big change of scenery and not an extension of the same plot prior the time jump.

Original storyline

This drama starts off by introducing this strong, independent and lonely rich woman, who desperately wanted to have kids, but never wanted a sustainable family. So she cajoled a good looking and smart doctor, whom she just met, into marrying her for kids. The male lead didn't know the actual reason but married her after learning that she was the girl he knew when they were young. She was his first love and the female lead did not know/remember him. So he didn't mind marrying her for a year to clear off his aunt's debt. The first episode has already got me addicted to it. The plot was funny because she kept psychoing him into marrying her and she did manage to trick him into the marriage. It has an original storyline, despite using a cliche marriage contract in the plot. Usually, the male lead of such dramas are overbearing boss. But no, they swapped that personality between the genders. Now that we have an overbearing female lead, I was afraid that the male lead will look like a simp. But that wasn't the case either, the male lead was an extremely nice, caring, understanding, clever and supportive husband which made me hooked to this drama. He was indeed upset when he found out her reason for marrying him. But they resolved it when they both revealed that they loved each other. The only issue I had about this drama was that she broke up with him and left the country for good after going bankrupt (why do all dramas have amnesia and such breakup scenes?) and the second leads start to have a lot of screen time (all of which I skipped? But here is also when they spiced up the plot even more with the introduction of their kid. She had a kid without him knowing (kind of impossible you know?) and decided to visit China for a business trip. The kid acting as their son was such a great actor. He managed to portray both his supposedly parents' characteristics that I almost had a delusion that he was their biological son. He had his mom's feisty character and dad's intelligence. His presence made us fell in love with the chemistry and relationship of the characters.

If I were the writer, I wouldn't have the female lead trick the male lead into marrying her. Instead, I would have the female lead trick him into having a checkup on her sperm cell counts and steal it for IVF. Sounds more original right?

I watched this drama because I want to know more works of Gong Jun after his excellent drama, Word Of Honor. Although I am not fond of modern romatic drama, I found this drama is interesting because the story is different from the usual modern romantic drama I have ever known. The two main leads portray their roles very well and they have a good chemistry. Gong Jun not only is good looking but also act well either in modern or costume drama. Some scenes in this drama are hilarious which make me laugh and feel relaxing. This drama is worth watching for those who like modern romantic drama.
