cliche, enjoyable, and best of all, unproblematic
Honestly, this is pretty much your run of the mill highschool and young love drama. It took me two tries to get past the initial first few episodes, but after that I coasted right through. There are a lot of things to love about this WIFTY. The main fl is cute, witty, and bright. She has a good heart, but she can stand up for herself and knows how to prevent others from walking all over her. It's a refreshing change from other cute fl characters who need the ml to stand of for them. Although the ml was always there, it was more out of support and encouragement rather than a need to save her. The main couple quietly yet openly supported each other throughout, effectively cutting off many overdone and tiring cliches used to create drama. Because of this, it was easy to watch. All the problems were faced together and solved quickly through the power of good ol' honesty and respect, and honestly, loved that.
There is a second couple that is just as cute and loveable, which you sometimes fail to see. Both were great in their own rights and fun to watch.
The friendships and relationships really shine here. Besides the romance, they tackle things like societal pressure, respect of others and self, growing pains, the meaning of friendships ,and how parental love effects their children. It was all portrayed well and easily digestible without being too frustrating.
Some parts did lose my interest, but not for lack of pacing. This type of highschool drama is either hit or miss for me, and this one sat on the high end of hit. I went into watching with this knowledge and came out pleasantly surprised and with fewer tears in my tearducts.
All in all, this is incredible sweet, meaty in the right places, and just stinkin gosh darn lovable. I would recommend watching if you're looking for something light to keep you in a good mood.

A beautiful, wholesome coming-of-age drama
I haven't finished watching this drama yet but I had to stop and just begin my review. This has been one of the most wholesome and sweet Cdramas I have ever watched. I loved the pure innocence of our 5 main leads and although I love the main couple so much, I love that it focuses on all 5 of them, with their own little story ARCs and their friendship. I'm excited to see them go onto the next stage of their lives, and honestly I'm getting sad that I'm approaching the end of this drama. It has been a wonderful watch and I've been smiling ear to ear for the most part of it. It also has only been 2 days and yet I'm about to finish it just because I didn't ever want to stop watching. I wish they had more episodes instead of just the short, 30 minute, 24 episodes that we get. I'm going to miss this little group of friends dearly and I think I'll find myself rewatching this drama quite a few times after I'm done.EDIT:
I finally finished the remaining episodes!!! OMG!! I'm squealing and I'm over the moon, this was such a beautiful, cute, and sweet little story. I loved seeing our wonderful ML slowly but surely open up episode after episode as our little sun persistently melted all that ice. I really enjoyed seeing their full journey, really my only complaint is that we didn't have more episodes of them in their college/adult life. I also adored our second couple, and I think it was just a shame that they got together so late in the drama. And of course, we can't forget about Guan Fang, our adorable, loveable 5th wheel. His care and dedication to his grandma was so nice to see. This was such a wholesome and heartwarming drama, I just finished it, yet I just want to be able to go back and watch it again for the first time.
Also fun fact: Falling Into Your Smile was probably my top Cdrama before this and I've rewatched that so many times already but it looks like When I Fly Towards You might take that top spot. It was a joy to watch the outgoing, dedicated Ai Jia turn into a shy, cold, introverted ML. Anyways, I think that's enough to be said about this drama. If you're on the fence, please watch it, I don't think you'll regret it! Bye for now!(:

Good Series
This series offers an enjoyable portrayal of school life, elevated by strong performances from the entire cast, particularly the main leads. While the storyline follows familiar tropes, the series stands out for its simplicity and refreshing approach to conflict.Although antagonists are present, they are not overly malicious or toxic. Their appearances are brief and easily managed by the main leads, who demonstrate admirable resilience and problem-solving skills. This creates a viewing experience that is largely positive and avoids unnecessary drama.
Overall, this series is worth watching for its engaging portrayal of school life and its compelling characters.

Evoked feel good emotions, so it was lovely to watch
A very good youth romance that evoked feel good emotions, so it was lovely to watch.Had light comedy which placed a smile on my face as well as some difficulties that brought on the tears.
A good story that wasn't too cheesy with every day life events taking place through out high school, college, internships, etc. The actors did really well in their respective roles and the love between main leads were believable.
Production and Visual FX as well as OST were great as well.
Rewatch : highly likely when I am in need of a feel good series.

"When I Fly Towards You: A Tender Portrait of First Love"
"When I Fly Towards You" is a beautiful coming-of-age drama featuring a love story that many of us would have dreamed of experiencing in our youth. about love, friendship, family
the drama is really good, it's so good I've watched it twice even though I haven't watched the drama for a long time. I think this is the only Chinese drama that I give 11/10, starting from the storyline, Zhang Lurang made me want to have a boyfriend when I was single. the story of their friendship is very fun to enjoy, throughout 24 episodes I always laugh with 5 different people. This drama is highly recommended for people who like to watch light dramas and don't drain their brains and emotions, at least they just want to have a partner as soon as possible hahahaWas this review helpful to you?
Best modern youth Cdrama!
This will be my first review, this drama was so good I am compelled to write a review now ;)I want to keep this short.
Sweet, funny, light hearted, fluffy romcom with no stupid love triangles, silly misunderstandings or unwanted break ups. I watched the trailer here on MDL and was immediately hooked. When I started watching it, I couldn't stop and binged it in a day. Although the drama is kinda tropey, its well executed and avoids the heartache tropes.
I would highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for a light hearted romcom.

Sweet and fun romance I've been waiting for
This show is just wonderful, it made me smile so much. It's perfect if you're looking for fluff romance and friendship. There's little to no conflict in the story which is what I crave sometimes, but other dramas that attempt this style have bored me. Not this one.Characters- I found everyone to be very likable. The FL was a little obsessed with ML and fell in love at first sight which usually bugs me a bit, but you could tell Su Zai Zai just knew what she wanted and went after it confidently. ML is the quiet, no smiling type but he didn't push her away and was never mean. The second couple is also very lovable and fun to watch. It made me smile to watch all the moments these friends shared together. Each character has their strengths and weaknesses and are never tied down to a two dimensional trope.
Story- I'm pretty picky about the length and speed of dramas. I've found especially with C-dramas they tend to drag on too much and I end up dropping them. But I very much enjoyed how this one was paced and didn't fast forward once! It was beautiful to watch these characters grow from adolescence to adulthood. Sometimes dramas skip ahead too much in later episodes so you can see how they ended up and it feels rushed and not genuine. They did skip ahead quite a bit but i didn't have the same feeling, I was just happy to see their happily ever after. Also I LOVED the aspect of the camcorder, it kept things interesting and gave things a nostalgic and personal feel. Oh also have to shout out any drama that has basically 0 miscommunication/misunderstanding trope, thank the lord.
TLDR- beautiful fluff romance, great to escape to a happy world.

Rang Rang and Zai Zai, I will miss them.
I have no experience for writing review. This is my first time. When I was depressed about my life, I started this drama with zero expectation. But slowly I am addicted in it. I knew male lead for ' Falling into your smile ' and female lead for ' Please don't spoil me '. In this drama their acting is totally different. They acted very well. There are many cliche in this drama, but it make this drama more beautiful. I wathed many drama where female lead chase male lead. Sometime it irritated me that female lead has no self respect. Su zai zai is totally opposite from them. She is cute, adorable and clever. When she is happy, I am also happy. The male lead also different from other cold male lead. He was introvert at first, but later he become extrovert for Su zai zai. Their dating era is too small for me! If I could get more episode. Gu ran, Jang Jia and Guan feng, they are also cute. I will miss them and their bonding. I will miss grandma. No, I will miss everyone in this drma. I definitely rewatch this drma. Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best romance dramas l have ever seen.
I finished the drama a long time ago (like the day the last episode aired), but l just couldn't bring myself to write a review because writing the review meant saying a final goodbye to my Rang Rang and Su Zaizai. This drama healed me in many ways and l cannot even explain it. It made me realize how lonely l was because l did not have friends like Su Zaizai, Zhang Lurang, Guan Fang, Gu Ran and Jiang Jia. I mean yes it was meant to be a typical cliche romance drama but it was more about that. The drama talked about friendships, trust, family expectations and yes romance.Let me start of with the main characters Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang. Su Zaizai was not your typical cutesy, brainless female lead. She was strong, independent and stood up for her man. She wax everything and more and l really admired her love for Zhang Lurang. Then my man Zhang Lurang "Rang Rang", although he was said to be a cold, male character he was not that. He was a tsundere if l do say so myself, he seemed closed off because of his situation at home but let me tell you that he was not all that. He was a sweet, understanding and all round great guy not only to his Su Zaizai but his friends.
Then l will get to Guan Fang, he was a great guy and l miss him dearly, his love for his grandmother was commendable, he is a perfect example of how people change for the better and for the people they love. Then my other man Gu Ran, his love for his friends and Jiang Jia was absolutely commendable, total love bug. Then Jiang Jia was just so relatable that l could not figure out why. I loved her and she had such great development.
I'm really happy that l was able to witness such a great drama. This drama went above and all for my expectations that l still feel the whole till now.
So till we meet again Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang.
