Chinese drama that is as sweet as cotton candy
If you like Hidden Love, then try watching When I Fly Towards You. The storyline is fresh but also heartwarming.I love how the producer explores the story between the characters in a simple but also interesting way, especially the love journey between Zhang Lurang and Su Zaizai. Even though towards the end of the episode the storyline sped up a bit, I wasn't disappointed because they had a beautiful ending.
Watching this drama reminds me of summer and unforgettable memories of youth!

Best modern youth Cdrama!
This will be my first review, this drama was so good I am compelled to write a review now ;)I want to keep this short.
Sweet, funny, light hearted, fluffy romcom with no stupid love triangles, silly misunderstandings or unwanted break ups. I watched the trailer here on MDL and was immediately hooked. When I started watching it, I couldn't stop and binged it in a day. Although the drama is kinda tropey, its well executed and avoids the heartache tropes.
I would highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for a light hearted romcom.

Sweet love
It is very sweet and cute. It isn’t like any other drama plot. It is quite unique. The sad scene never fails to make me cry and the happy scenes never failed to make me smile and scream. Even though I rewatched it 10 times I am still not tired of it. It is very vintage and teenage vibes. It portraits everyone's dream teenage love and friendship. I highly recommend it. best cdrama ever. this drama helped me become positive in life, i aspire to be like zai zai who’s always happy and positive in life . after watching i started filming more videos and become more motivated in school. this also helped me shape who i am today and this was the start where i started to watch more youthful cdramas and never stopped looking forward to new dramas. overall this cdrama is the best thing ever and everyone in their lives deserves to watch this !! (hopefully we get s2 of gu ran and jiang jia, and pls a love life for guan fang)Was this review helpful to you?
GREAT COMING-OF-AGE DRAMA
when i started watching this i didnt expect to get really hooked since i just watched it because it was always on my fyp on tiktok but now that i have finished it i didnt regret watching it since its a feel-good cdrama!!! Zhang Lurang and Su Zaizai relationship are now part of my favorite cdrama couples! Their relationship is so secured and stress-free. They really scream LOYAL through out the entire show!!!! I also Guran and Jiangjia!! Though I wish a special episode for these two since we didnt get much of their relationship as a couple 🙏🏻 All in all great drama and excellent OST as well but some of the music arent on spotify :<Was this review helpful to you?

Sweet and fun romance I've been waiting for
This show is just wonderful, it made me smile so much. It's perfect if you're looking for fluff romance and friendship. There's little to no conflict in the story which is what I crave sometimes, but other dramas that attempt this style have bored me. Not this one.Characters- I found everyone to be very likable. The FL was a little obsessed with ML and fell in love at first sight which usually bugs me a bit, but you could tell Su Zai Zai just knew what she wanted and went after it confidently. ML is the quiet, no smiling type but he didn't push her away and was never mean. The second couple is also very lovable and fun to watch. It made me smile to watch all the moments these friends shared together. Each character has their strengths and weaknesses and are never tied down to a two dimensional trope.
Story- I'm pretty picky about the length and speed of dramas. I've found especially with C-dramas they tend to drag on too much and I end up dropping them. But I very much enjoyed how this one was paced and didn't fast forward once! It was beautiful to watch these characters grow from adolescence to adulthood. Sometimes dramas skip ahead too much in later episodes so you can see how they ended up and it feels rushed and not genuine. They did skip ahead quite a bit but i didn't have the same feeling, I was just happy to see their happily ever after. Also I LOVED the aspect of the camcorder, it kept things interesting and gave things a nostalgic and personal feel. Oh also have to shout out any drama that has basically 0 miscommunication/misunderstanding trope, thank the lord.
TLDR- beautiful fluff romance, great to escape to a happy world.

I couldn’t finish it before because I was so afraid that I would miss them, so I kept watching one episode per week. I’m being so real right now; every character was so special. Su Zaizai is one of the best characters of all time. She’s so bright, happy, and dedicated. And Zhang Lurang, what can I say about him? HE IS THE BEST. I love Jiang Jia, Gu Ran, and Guan Fang too; their friendship was so good to watch.I loved that Su Zaizai was 'chasing' Zhang Lurang with such confidence, and she breaks the stereotype that only the guy has to chase the girl. She was patient with Zhang Lurang being so shy, and I really, really loved that.
Zhang Lurang is a character I could relate to so much. People only see us as human beings without feelings, but it's completely the opposite. I hope in the future I can be more open with another person, just as Lurang was open with Zaizai.

Rang Rang and Zai Zai, I will miss them.
I have no experience for writing review. This is my first time. When I was depressed about my life, I started this drama with zero expectation. But slowly I am addicted in it. I knew male lead for ' Falling into your smile ' and female lead for ' Please don't spoil me '. In this drama their acting is totally different. They acted very well. There are many cliche in this drama, but it make this drama more beautiful. I wathed many drama where female lead chase male lead. Sometime it irritated me that female lead has no self respect. Su zai zai is totally opposite from them. She is cute, adorable and clever. When she is happy, I am also happy. The male lead also different from other cold male lead. He was introvert at first, but later he become extrovert for Su zai zai. Their dating era is too small for me! If I could get more episode. Gu ran, Jang Jia and Guan feng, they are also cute. It is too sweet for me that it makes me cringe but still it’s a good, youthful, and full of positivity drama with a happy ending. 😅
It’s a classic high school youth drama which begins in high school and continues into adulthood. Su Zai Zai is a cute, talkative, and straight forward girl who falls for the genius, aloof and introvert Zhang Lu Rang. They fall in love and get married.
Honestly, I watched this drama because they have the same writer of Hidden Love. Personally, I didn’t enjoy it that much because I have high expectations from it.
There are lot of scenes that are cute and sweet but sometimes it’s too much for me that it makes me cringe specially when I hear the word “Rang-Rang”.
I like their friendship though, the heartwarming relationship between the grandma and Guan Fang and the 2nd couple because they have a nice story line. The 2nd couple have love - hate relationship and one-sided love which is so natural. I feel that the 1st couple story is cute, sweet but flat. The only problem they have is the pressure of ML’s mother. No second lead or jealousy to make things spice up.
Overall, it is not my cup of tea. It is a good drama – classic, but maybe because my preference has changed a lot that this one doesn’t suit me. I watched A Love So Beautiful which almost has the same plot of running after their crushes or first love, but ALSB didn’t make me cringe. And I made a mistake of watching the intros that it almost spills the whole story of the drama.

Everyone should watch When I Fly Towards You !!
I honestly think that anybody could pick up wifty if they wanted to. It's a very light-hearted show that you could just keep watching without stress. The characters are sooooo well-written, loveable, and charming in their own way. I could go on and on for days about just how much I enjoyed this show and how well-paced it is.I'll start off with what I thought the whole time I was binging. Every episode I just thought to myself "love can be such a beautiful thing. It can be sunshine and rainbows too." I know, the thought isn't novel. That thought was left in my mind because (in my opinion) dramas these days don't portray love like that anymore. I have never felt this good watching a romance series without any setbacks or unnecessary conflicts and the likes.
How love manifests in each of the characters is also a topic I can speak endlessly about.
Zaizai shines so much because she is a lover girl. she is THE lover girl. She never puts up a front and is the most genuine character i've come across in a while. That's what makes her the perfect main girl. Her existence brings such a great warmth to everyone around her and you can tell.
Lurang seems like the typical cold, quiet guy at first. Zaizai definitely brought the best of him. Who would've thought the quiet guy would become the most adorable and understanding boyfriend out there? Words cannot explain how much I loveeee Lurang's development from a guy who seemingly had a fairly black and white world to Rangrang who would do anything for his Zaizai.
Oh god, GuJia., where do I even start...
I deeply resonate with Jia who felt lost among her peers that knew what path they wanted to take after high school. As everyone may know, i'm not new to experiencing existential crisis. I think it's because her journey of finding herself came first before she was able to allow herself to feel romantic emotions (or rather, her feeling being revealed rather later on in the story).
Guran [sighs] okay let me get this out of the way but I do have a bias towards him because he reminds me so much of junhyeon !! I'm sorry ANYWAYS. Obsessed is an understatement for how much I enjoyed seeing him pine for Jia ITS ABSOLUTELY CRAZY can you tell from how much I am straying away from my seemingly formal review ;-; crying screaming sobbing he is the personification of saymynameandeverythingjuststopsidontwantyoulikeabestfriend!!! i love them so much everybody should try out the gujia burger meal 100/10 would recommend.
Guan Fang :((( His relationship with his grandmother is beyond endearing. Their love and appreciation for each other proves itself time and time again. They live for each other, its SOOOO heartwarming to see there's no way anyone who watches this series will not appreciate his character.
OVERALL, I thoroughly enjoyed this series and highly HIGHLY recommend it to everyone in the market for youth-romance shows and are looking for something to watch right now!

One of the best romance dramas l have ever seen.
I finished the drama a long time ago (like the day the last episode aired), but l just couldn't bring myself to write a review because writing the review meant saying a final goodbye to my Rang Rang and Su Zaizai. This drama healed me in many ways and l cannot even explain it. It made me realize how lonely l was because l did not have friends like Su Zaizai, Zhang Lurang, Guan Fang, Gu Ran and Jiang Jia. I mean yes it was meant to be a typical cliche romance drama but it was more about that. The drama talked about friendships, trust, family expectations and yes romance.Let me start of with the main characters Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang. Su Zaizai was not your typical cutesy, brainless female lead. She was strong, independent and stood up for her man. She wax everything and more and l really admired her love for Zhang Lurang. Then my man Zhang Lurang "Rang Rang", although he was said to be a cold, male character he was not that. He was a tsundere if l do say so myself, he seemed closed off because of his situation at home but let me tell you that he was not all that. He was a sweet, understanding and all round great guy not only to his Su Zaizai but his friends.
Then l will get to Guan Fang, he was a great guy and l miss him dearly, his love for his grandmother was commendable, he is a perfect example of how people change for the better and for the people they love. Then my other man Gu Ran, his love for his friends and Jiang Jia was absolutely commendable, total love bug. Then Jiang Jia was just so relatable that l could not figure out why. I loved her and she had such great development.
I'm really happy that l was able to witness such a great drama. This drama went above and all for my expectations that l still feel the whole till now.
So till we meet again Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang.

Growing up and falling in love
Positives: no toxic relationships. There is a lot of plot giveaways - for example in the opening scenes we see a wedding, so we know from the beginning where the story is headed. Acting was good. The actors captured the awkwardness of being in high school and falling in love/like. It was not all love scenes, though. There is deep friendships and family respect. The story does not drag out as in too many dramas and each episode is 30ish minutes. Sub titles (English) are well done; I only saw one mistake.Negatives: at least one continuity issue - Jiang Jia is wearing one winter coat and then in the continuation of the scene, she has switched to another coat. Oftentimes, the plot is too coincidental. And as usual in Asian dramas, the female leads have an inordinate amount of winter coats! 🧥 Lastly, the scenery is not always consistent with the time of year. It’s snowing , but the bush in the background has spring flowers. It’s January, but all the trees have their leaves.
Summary: A pleasant, quick series with no excessive drama. Just real life teens growing up, and finding their way in the world. And a realistic ending without silliness. I don’t rewatch shows, so my rewatch value is 1.
