First Impression: Eye Contact
Overall: I'm giving this series the benefit of the doubt though that first episode was both all over the place and boring. Based off a book which I haven't read and I will review the series on its own merits. 6 episodes about 45 minutes each. Airing uncut on WeTV https://wetv.vip/en/play/fva9tft4vxjyol2/j4101l2vf7x and cut on on WeTV https://wetv.vip/en/play/efp3uken3u5ahjm/w410159dtry (the first episode seemed to be the same run time)Content Warnings: manhandling, hit, maybe something at the end of episode 1
What I Liked
- though kind of random, I did understand the plot
- actors are doing a decent job with what they are working with
Room For Improvement
- started with a voice over to describe a character instead of showing it thru actions/interactions
- choppy, characters are in university and then suddenly we're seeing high schoolers with seemingly no connection between them
- love triangle set up
- if what is hinted at in the end of episode 1 is what happened
