Beautiful in its own way
Know this title from YT. Quite surprise there's another BL from China. And more surprise after watching this to find out this more daring than Stay With Me. Wonder how they surpassed the censorship....Story of 2 childhood friends, Cheng Yi (CY) & Ling Zi Ming (ZM). They're neighbors, both have no parent and live with their relatives, CY with his grandma & ZM with his aunt. And when they start hit puberty, their feeling toward each other slowly change into something more.
At first, CY still tried to deny his feelings & try to chase a girl. But when they have a new friend, Lu Xiang Lin (XL), that show more attention & getting closer to ZM, make CY had to admit his feeling for ZM.
It’s beautiful story about teenagers that try to know their sexuality & dare to admit it to their own self. Unfortunately the last episode a little bit dissapointed. But i just can't give this drama lower score.

There's a little coercion toward SA between ZM & CY in the end. The pissed CY forced himself to ZM, cause ZM still don't want to acknowledge his own feeling for CY. I'm not justify what CY did to ZM, it's wrong. And how much I hope the director add 1-2 more ep for closed the relationship between CY & ZM than this.
This is an open ending. Oh i really wish they give us second season. But I don’t pissed too much with this kind of open ending. It's the open ending that I can make peace with & beautiful in its own way.

Disappointing, but surprising CBL
I watched this a couple of years ago, probably when it aired.Then I was watching some short BLs then I came across this. At first I thought it would be a Taiwanese production, but shocking to me it is not and it LGBT chinese series.
The ending is disappointing as most of other reviews and stuff pointed out, but what can we expect for a Chinese gay media?
The ratings are also a tad bit low for what this production aimed and delivered, I had the displeasure of rewatching it though and this was a mistake, it has 0 rewatch value and made me feel anger of what could be done to make this better because there is so much room for a good series.
So, if you are reading this, watch it and forget, but also mark it down so you don't waste your time like me.

BFFR
Are you for real?! I started watching this show and I thought it was GREAT! I really did. Every episode made me happy and I genuinely shipped the couple, but here come the last 2 episodes.THEY COMPLETELY RUINED THIS SHOW
Like I'm so upset because it was so good but they just completely messed it up and now I feel bad about ever starting the show, smh.
Like please don't even start this because you will get attached and then feel like you need to fight the story writer. I don't want to spoil so if you watch, good luck. And those who think this show is still good... be for real.

In Your Heart?
Overall: choppy BL with a bad ending. Watched on Gagaoolala (also on Viki).Content Warnings: rape (portrayed as romantic), non con kissing/trying to kiss, punches, beaten up (off screen)
What I Liked
- the OST and intro sequence was well done
- there were a few funny moments like the music when they were sitting on the wall, broom fighting
- good production value
Room For Improvement
- the non con was totally unnecessary and the ending was stupid, it didn't make me throw my computer in rage but I was disappointed
- the female love interest part was confusing and unneeded
- that mom looked the exact same age as the high school student (actor is 29 apparently, the mom should have been an older actress)
- choppy editing/plot
- the side characters needed more development
- continuity error, after being beaten up with visible injuries, they are injury free in the next scene
- the scene in the principal's office/that money thing were too long

Chinese BL
Well, let’s get started.I personally DID like the first episode. The story itself, adds nothing new to the BL world but it’s it’s interesting see regardless of this, at least for me it is.
I have so critique points though.
First of all, the editing. The editing is choppy, specially the last few minutes of the episode. I hope this issue is resolved in the following episodes.
The acting is good but some of the supporting cast could do better, I was not feeling it with them. The main leads were ok, there’s room for improvement too.
The music is good too. I like it.
Now, the dubbing. Let’s talk about it, I’m already familiar with Chinese dramas and dubbing so this is not new for me but it did throw me off when some parts of episode 1 where dubbed and others were not. I don’t know if it was a budget issue or not but it was definitely not good.
Overall, the episode was good, considering it’s a Chinese production with very limited budget. It’s not amazing but it’s watchable and I appreciate the effort the production team put into this project.
The drama is worth checking out, it’s nice, it has a few negative things about it but overall, it’s really nice.
I’m excited to see the next episodes, I’m hoping for them to be better.

China reverted back to rhe 70s with over censorship
China really has to be ashamed. Real people everyday do not live without full expression of themselves. Only through repression can productions like this be made. It’s goes against human rights and is so demeaning to GL TIQA+ people in China. I’m so afraid for them them, it’s 2024 and illegal to live like they want to. If we don’t do anything ourselves imagine what fatalities will incur to the GLBTIQA+ chinese people in the future, join me in standing up for their rights as free living people.Was this review helpful to you?

Surprise endearing Chinese BL drama
this is endearing drama、 though low budget in production it does not matter they manage to bring out such emotions and interaction between the characters I cannot understand the low ratingsas for the ending、 bitter sweet but separation is part of life : if that was all、
however for me the failure here was Cheng Yi’s forced lovemaking knowing he intends to separate from Zi Min、g this comes into the category of playing with someone else's feelings which can have serious psychological impact
significance of phone call ambiguous I feel calling but unwilling to say where you are suggests further selfish emotional manipulation probably just unthinking not calculated ？
though this also leaves open the possibility for future reunion but of course it is unlikely this would pass censorship in China in fact it is surprising this drama seems to have fallen below the radar
though it is very welcome to find such a moving same sex Chinese drama
but anyway we are free to make our own imaginary sequel ❤️🌈

Étonnamment décevant
Quand je repense à la façon dont les scénaristes ont tissé cette fameuse (b)romance unique entre Wen Ke Wing et Zhou Zi Shu de Word Of Honor, je ne peux qu'imaginer ce à quoi pourrait ressembler un boyslove de la part de la Chine.In Your Heart est arrivé avec quelques enjeux. Allait-il prendre le même chemin que Addicted ? Il faut rappeler que tout le monde n'a pas aimé Addicted - ce qui est mon cas. Comment la romance allait-elle se profiler ? Ça avait bien débuté. Un joli générique, deux acteurs qui passent plutôt bien à l'écran. On sent un manque de moyens, mais ce n'est pas le pire que nous ayons vu dans un BL. L'histoire était banale. Juste deux amis d'enfance dont l'un est amoureux et l'autre, on ne sait pas vraiment. C'est tout ! Ni plus, ni moins. C'est assez pauvre. J'attendais plus de matière sur l'intrigue. Le temps passe et les personnages sont là. Ils manquent de développement, mais avec 8 épisodes au tableau, on accélère. Les personnages secondaires servent-ils vraiment à quelque chose ? On pourra dire qu'ils n'éclipseront jamais le duo principal, mais à quoi bon les ajouter à l'intrigue s'ils ne sont qu'une partie du décor ?
In Your Heart ne révolutionne rien. Le jeu d'acteur est passable, rien de bien vivant, mais nous dirons que ça fait le travail. J'ai déjà vu bien pire dans les drames chinois, alors. Et lentement, les amis deviennent cette vapeur toxique avant que l'un des personnages prenne le mauvais filon et ça y'est. On s'engouffre dans la brèche du dernier épisode qu'on avait évité jusque là.
L'épisode final est une déception. Sur 20 minutes, on retire les génériques et les flash-back (dont il est composé à 80%) on se retrouve avec 20% (15% ?) de scènes inédites dont une scène sur laquelle on aurait aimé faire l'impasse. Non, forcer la main de son/sa partenaire pour faire des roulades dans les draps n'est pas correct. Mais à force, je fini par penser qu'en Chine ces comportements sont acceptables et plus ou moins dans les normes.
Le montage n'est pas agréable. Le son est parfois mauvais (bruit ambiant). La musique ne marque pas (ou du moins, elle ne m'a pas interpelé).
J'étais enthousiaste à l'idée de ce drame simplement parce que « Chine + boyslove » ne sont pas communs dans la même phrase. Il est évident que la Chine a encore du chemin à faire pour nous offrir de jolies romances entre garçons - ce qui est assez fou quand on voit le succès des couples gays chinois sur les réseaux sociaux. En attendant, ils maîtrisent la bromance et c'est déjà un grand pas.

BL chinês com beijo, agora o meteoro vem
Bem, mais uma série revista, e vamos às considerações...Primeiro, eu lembro muito bem, que quando a série foi lançada eu tive medo de assistir, pois a China tem o histórico de estragar quase todos os BL's transformando-os em bromance, e eles só sobrevivem nosso imaginário se o plot realmente for incrível. Esse fator me fez resistir um pouco, mas optei por dar uma chance. Foi a melhor série que já vi? Não! Mas não acho que mereça todo o hate que sofreu.
Vamos falar do roteiro, na verdade, um grande clichê. Dois amigos de infância, um deles apaixonado e consciente disso, e o outro também apaixonado, mas tapado o suficiente para não perceber, e ainda magoar o outro com suas atitudes infantis e idiotas. Quando eles perceberam o sentimento, creio que muita coisa se misturou na cabeça de ambos. Ling Zi Ming tinha certeza de sus sentimentos, mas não ficou pulando de alegria ao ver uma centelha de sentimento em Cheng Yi, talvez por conhecê-lo tão bem a ponto de saber que poderia ser apenas um fogo de palha, do qual ele seria o único a sair queimado.
Por outro lado, quando Cheng Yi começou a perceber seus sentimentos, talvez a confusão mental que se formou nele foi maior do que ele podia enfrentar, era como se ele não se reconhecesse diante dos sentimentos que agora ele via que sempre estiveram ali. Talvez esse foi o motivo que o fez decidir ir embora com a mãe a quem ele aparentemente desprezava. Óbvio, há quem ache que foi por causa do pedido da avó, mas eu acho que não. Talvez a pessoa mais sábia em meio a isso tenha sido Lu Xiang Xin, que percebeu os sentimentos dos dois e jogou isso na cara dele, o que levou ao meu surto: o beijo... a China liberou um beijo, esse foi o motivo do meu colapso.
E enfim chegamos aos dois últimos eps. Há quem diga que eles são desnecessários, que a série deveria ter acabado no ep 6, que foi tudo estragado por esses dois capítulos, enfim... tenho sentimentos conflitantes quanto a isso.
A maior e mais pesada crítica, paira sobre a relação sexual que eles tiveram, onde aparentemente Cheng Yi forçou em relutante Ling Zi Ming a transar, e na verdade a sensação de estupro que a cena passa é terrível (me senti lendo Addicted heroin). A cena não foi mostrada inteira, mostra a parte em que Cheng Yi se impõe, e a cena corta para após o ato, quando eles estão bem, conversando sobre sua relação e sentimentos. Não acho que posso dizer com certeza que foi um estupro, ele se impôs, mas como a cena é cortada, posso também sopor (hipoteticamente) que Ling Zi Ming cedeu, vai saber o que se passa na cabeça desses roteiristas... de qualquer forma, havia inúmeras maneiras de fazer essa cena de outra forma mais suave, sem gerar esse sentimento negativo, que para muitos, manchou a série inteira. E mesmo que aqui no ocidente não entendamos tanto da cultura chinesa, é perceptível que a visão que eles tem de pessoas e relações homo afetivas é bem preconceituosa, como se essas pessoas sejam promíscuas, más, sujas... talvez venha daí a ideia de certas cenas que nos deixam desconfortáveis.
O que realmente foi desnecessário pra mim, foi a separação dos dois, foi o fato de precisarem estar tão longe para poderem finalmente dizer que se gostavam.
Sobre os aspectos técnicos, já falei sobre o roteiro, o que automaticamente nos leva a direção. A série não tinha um grande orçamento, até pq não creio que exista muito patrocínio para séries BL na China, mas a atuação, fotografia e ost estiveram impecáveis.
É uma série que recomendo, com aviso de gatilho, mas recomendo.

In Your Heart foi uma experiência bem morna para mim. Dei nota 6,5 porque, sinceramente, não consegui me conectar com a história ou os personagens. O enredo parecia promissor, mas acabou sendo muito básico e sem profundidade, não entregando nada que realmente me emocionasse ou marcasse.O maior problema, para mim, foi o final. Não teve aquele grande momento ou um fechamento significativo que deixasse alguma impressão. Foi um desfecho tão comum que, quando acabou, fiquei com a sensação de "é isso?". Não trouxe nenhuma surpresa, emoção ou algo que realmente justificasse o tempo investido assistindo.
Os personagens também não ajudaram muito. Eles não tinham aquela química ou carisma que fazem você se apegar, torcer ou mesmo sentir algo por eles. Tudo foi tão raso que, no final, pareceu que eu assisti mais por obrigação do que por vontade.
No geral, In Your Heart foi um BL que passou sem deixar nenhum impacto. Não é ruim a ponto de ser insuportável, mas também não tem nada de especial que faça valer a pena. Olhei só por olhar, e é só isso mesmo. Não recomendaria para quem busca algo envolvente ou emocionante.

Na minha opinião a série destaca a importância e a inevitabilidade do amor na nossa existência ao explorar de maneira poética e filosófica a relação entre a gravidade e o amor.
A gravidade, uma força invisível que atrai os corpos, é usada como metáfora para descrever a força do amor que atrai as pessoas umas às outras. Assim como a gravidade mantém os planetas em órbita e dá forma ao universo, o amor mantém as pessoas conectadas e dá sentido às suas vidas.
Mesmo com toda censura, com toda homofobia, morando em cidades diferentes, o amor, assim como a gravidade, é uma força fundamental e inescapável que molda nossas experiências e relações.
Foi uma série inteligente que conseguiu transmitir a mensagem desejada enquanto navega pelas restrições impostas.

Decepção.
Eu não sei nem como começar isso aqui de tão revoltada que estou. Se eu fosse fazer uma resenha desse drama antes de assistir os dois últimos eps, eu daria um sete, por mais que ele não seja incrível e revolucionário, eu estava achando legalzinho e fofo. Mas esse final???? O que eles estavam pensando quando decidiram fazer o que fizeram?? Conseguiram estragar TUDO em apenas dois eps. Sinceramente, estou decepcionada.A história, como eu disse, até o episódio seis é boa. Um romance simples e clichê de dois melhores amigos que começam a sentir coisas a mais um pelo outro, ok, tudo bom, tudo legal. O que quebra é realmente o final, que não faz sentido, eles destroem o protagonista, e ao invés de usar o tempo pra concertar o erro, ficam botando flash back de coisa que a gente já viu (inclusive de cenas que passaram a segundos atrás).
Pra mim, é um drama sem nenhum ponto forte. A atuação é ok e a música é ok também. Tinha tudo pra ter uma notinha maior, porém o surto do final não tem como deixar passar.
