predictable and confusing but entertaining
there are definitely parts of this series where it makes no fuckin sense lmaoo but i wanted to add first and foremost: i can’t believe that the gay man died to house a hetero in his body and live his hetero romance im sickkkkkk😭😭😭the 5 minutes of gay representation eliminated by what happens next and i absolutely don’t think it’s okay 😀 they could’ve made him a straight man why did they erase his identity AND kill his partner 😭
ANYWAY. other than that i predicted pretty much the flow of the story but there were some twists/turns about it. there are some times where it’s not believable bc how the characters act are so out of whack to reality but we have to suspend some belief in order to enjoy our time-traveling shows lol.
i’m sure there were some loopholes but i don’t remember them much now—should’ve wrote them down on the spot.
but i did enjoy this, though not as much as i wanted to. i didn’t really like the turn of events where the girl returns to her own body and completely ignores the fact that she’s a murder target and someone in her school legit got brutally murdered as well—all bc her crush is finally paying attention to her. and i also didn’t like the fact that the male lead turns his back on the girl once he finds out that she’s back to her normal self. they were friends before all this body swapping happened so it’s sad to believe that he would not care about her after the person he had a crush on left her body (sorry i forgot their names already; i’m reviewing a couple weeks after i finished).
i also don’t understand why the brothers would have swapped ?? what is going on with that town!!!! lmfao
overall enjoyable if you don’t mind being confused and annoyed lol

a yearning man
Nam Si-heon, the yearning man that everyone could ask for."What if I miss you so much that I could not bear with?"
A! YEARNING! MAN! Ive repeated myself that the male lead is such a yearning character. I love how he potrayed his love towards Han Jun-hee. How he instantly knows how to differentiate between Han Jun-hee and Kwon Min-ju. Trust me;
'To be yearned for, to be seen" has been the criteria that I am looking for in a man.
A Time Called You is a time-travelling series and it is hard to understand all hence you need to watch till the end, then you will start to understand the storyline. I am happy that Jung In-gyu deserves his love line after all the hardships in the beginning, and the jealousy. We will never can be another person. It's always us, ourselves that need to change anything related to us. Someone's help can be considered, but it's always you.

Woah
I liked it, it’s worth the watch if you want to watch a meaningful love story and if your interested in time travel, soulmates kinda thing. Honestly I didn’t like one of the main characters for her personality but the story is good and ends well. The music from this really STUCK with me, so I think very positively of this kdrama it felt so meaningful and fulfilling to see how it ended.
Gather my tears by Seo Ji Won is a song I’ll listen to for a while now lol it really reaches my heart and so did this kdrama.
Note this tho, if your a sensitive person do recognise this story involves murder/suicide/violence and can get creepy which is what I didn’t like but the ending is rewarding and calm :)

Quite the Love Story
This was an amazing show to watch and I geuinely loved it especially the 'Gather my tears' by Seo jin-won as it was my first time hearing it...but the last 2 episodes made the show seem inconsistentThroughout the series from episode 1-10 the show was foreshadowing and evoking the themes of a thriller murder mystery which made the show exciting and seemed to pass by quickly with each episode...but in the final 2 episodes they switched it to promote a different theme entirely, this in turn made the final 2 episodes seem so draggy and frustrating as it felt all the built up of the first 10 episodes was quickly undone in the final 2 episodes.
I guess it highlighted the serious topic of "suicide' because of the true unfortunate story of Seo Jin-Won, the artist of the song "Gather My Tears" who took his own life on January 1 1996 at the age of 19 only for his song 'Gather My Tears" to be released not that long after his death and becoming a big hit in South Korea, knowing this much the emotion pain in his song hits so much deeper
The show is worth watching but I most likely wouldn't consider this a comfort show
7.8/10

Watched for the leads
I watched this drama for both the leads and I was not disappointed in terms of the acting. The acting in this drama was really good. Was up with the kiss scenes, both ML & FL can kiss as seen in their previous dramas so I’m guessing this was on the director and that was super disappointing, they had really good chemistry only to be let down by such mannequin kiss. Anyways luckily the story was good enough to let it slide. Now the plot was a little confusing at first with all the timeline changes and whatnot but after awhile you get the gist of it.
One of the reasons I didn’t rate this higher is because I refuse to accept the reason giving for why MinJu wanted to kill herself, claiming it’s depression, I disagree, IMO she wanted to kill herself because a boy didn’t like her back, when she came back in ep11 instead of Jun Hee, she was all well and good as long as Si Heon didn’t notice and continued to like her but when he finally realized she wasn’t Jun Hee all of a sudden she wants to kill herself, and also Si Heon and In Kyu were friends with her even before Jun Hee showed up, so that whole monologue of nobody talking to her and liking her was complete BS, In Kyu liked her but apparently that didn’t count because it wasn’t Si Heon, so I don’t agree with the reason giving for why she wanted to kill herself.
Anyways I don’t think I will be rewatching this but I recommend for a one time watch.

Required a flow chart...
...to really get the details of what was going on. And a spread sheet would’ve come in handy too.The time travel elements were confusing, even for people like me who read a lot of a time travel novels. The trajectory of characters going backwards and forwards in time wasn’t always clear.
Two characters were sharing bodies with other characters in at least three time periods. One character, with two different names but a single identity, was hopping back and forth between decades and even managed to get together with himself at one point–so the two of them (one of them?) could figure out what to do. AAAaaarrgh!
The dubbed English actors all spoke in monotonous voices, and the acting seemed stiff, awkward, and mechanical. It was a noble attempt–with a lot of problems. Five stars.

Dropped at 4 episodes.
I'm intrigued with the concept and the mystery. Unfortunately, the romance is not romancing for me. There was zero chemistry. I don't buy the whole epic love that transcends time and space. All they've showed is a typical, cliched love story complete with corny and cringey qoutes. It's like they're trying too hard to convince you that it was the greatest love ever that would defy science and logic. Sorry, but their love story wasn’t noteworthy nor special enough to be doing all that. I wanted more and maybe we'll get that in later episodes but four episodes isn't enough to pique my interest, and it fell short. Was this review helpful to you?
Good Enough
Korean Drama " A Time Called You " is the remake of the Taiwanese drama "Someday or One Day", and somehow it makes it work. It does follow the story closely to the original, but it makes it fit the Korean standards, altering the storyline slightly, but without ruining it.The drama, first of all, is pretty entertaining, with the main mystery being intriguing and reaching its full climax in the final episodes, which were full of action and twists. The ending, in addition, was just right for the story, bittersweet yes, but appropriate for the story and leaving it up to the viewer to imagine what will come next.
Moreover, the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job with their performances and they handled their characters masterfully.
Finally, the drama managed the fantasy paranormal element smoothly without complicating the story or confusing the viewer.
So, overall, eight and a half out of ten.

Good but confusing
This was really good but I spent too much time trying to figure out who was who. Beautiful love story and it turned into two. So happy with the ending.I’m a huge Ahn Hyo Seop fan. Loved him in Business Proposal (my first K-drama ever) and also Dr Romantic 2 & 3. That guy never disappoints!
Kang Hoon was just the sweetest and cutest guy and his story was heartbreaking. Will look for more series with him.
Jeon Yeo-been did a fantastic job in the dual roles. So much so that I had to look it up to make that was her. Very talented.
I would recommend this series if you like time travel but don’t try to figure it out logically. That nearly made me crazy and literally kept me up one night.
Would love to see Ahn Hyo Seop and Rowoon together again! ❤️❤️❤️

The ending made me infuriated.
This show was a 10/10 for me until somewhere in episode 11 or 12, then something just totally derailed in the story. The acting for this show was amazing and het main characters have amazing chemistry. Everything was smooth sailing and the story was on its way to become one of, if not my favorite kdrama of all time. I really liked the main song used in the series, maybe because I have not heard Last Dance of Wu Bai before. I have not watched the original, so I do not know if the story ends exactly the same, however the ending just feels rushed, like the writers didn't know how to continue the story, and therefore magically fix some stuff, and leave everything unexplained. Now for the explanation about what I disliked, Warning spoilers ahead!!!
For me it all went wrong when Kwon Min Ju started taking over, and left Han Jun hee in her head. Don't get me wrong I am all for some character development for Kwon Min Ju, as it felt kinda unfair that Jun hee got everything that Min Ju wanted. However the way it was handled was poor at best. At first she is really stubborn, but when Jun Hee takes over again, she is like allright maybe I do not want to kill myself, because suddenly Jun Hee "understood her". Instead of this ending I would have liked if there were more time travel attempts, instead of the final one were Jun hee suddenly gets back in 1998 right at the moment of the accident after praying to the lord that is Nam Si Heon. They should have realised Jung In Gyu was the answer for Min Ju's sadness and attempted to get them together, like Si Heon tried from the very start before the time travel interference. However in the current storyline this is not possible as everyone is dead and only Jun Hee can do something, but she can only watch. Maybe they should have had Si Heon time travel again to Jun Hee instead of the random prayer bullshit at the end, and somehow fix it. I am not opposed to them finally destroying the tape. But the reunion in the new timeline also is underwhelming. All the memories are gone, but somehow they just feel that they belong together. I get it they averted the crisis and got their happy ending, but come on at least give some subtle hints. Show the new timeline where Min Ju, In Gyu, Jun Hee and Si Heon are all happy and maybe even friends. What has happened to Oh Chan Yeong, is he in jail like he should be, or is he out there killing other people? What about the uncle, did he become a barista? The final episode had all those little problems which made the conclusion not counteract all the suspense and sadness we went through to get there. Sorry if this is more like a rant, but I just had such high hopes, and the end was an enormous let down.

Whoever came up with this plot is a genius
The plot is quite complex so it’s not the type of show you can just have playing in the back while you fold your laundry or something, but I can guarantee it’s interesting enough that you won’t want to pause and go off to do something else. However, I must say, if you’re someone who gets headaches easily, this isn’t for you.The way the mystery aspect comes together and slowly makes sense was so perfectly done.
The amount of episodes is just right too. I’m glad it wasn’t dragged on to 16+ episodes.

Ignore the noise, this is a solid remake that honours the beloved original
With a story as unique as this one, making it feel as fresh and original the second time is challenging. The element of suspense and surprise is gone, along with the initial magic of discovery. Any remake of Someday or One Day is already at a disadvantage right from the start; making comparisons somehow feels a bit unfair. Given this context, I thought this remake did an admirable job honouring the original material, while introducing the story to an entirely new audience.I watched the original Taiwanese series shortly after it aired and the nostalgia and haunting beauty of what happened to our protagonists lingered with me long after the series ended. At the same time, enough time had passed that the twists and turns were a bit hazy. Watching this remake felt like I was taking the journey again -- somewhat familiar, but with different friends to make the experience fresh. There were some elements I liked better in the original and some I liked better in the remake. (I thought they did a slightly better job "explaining" the time travel element in the remake than the original, for example. (I didn't have to draw a diagram this time!))
I wasn't overly familiar with the casts in both productions, but thought they all did a fantastic job bringing everyone to life; if anything, I found myself warming up to the characters more quickly than I did while watching the original. Ahn Hyo Seop and Jeon Yeo Been both did a wonderful job portraying Nam Si Heon and Han Jun Hee/Kwon Min Ju at different ages, stages, and experiences in life.
The music in A Time Called You is perhaps the main element that fell short for me, but this isn't necessarily the show's fault -- just something that sometimes can't be helped when watching international dramas. I am not familiar with older Korean songs and don't really understand the language, so there was a certain nostalgia, mood and emotional connection that was ever-present in Someday or One Day through its music that was somehow missing for me here. At the same time, the Korean version's more polished feel may have also contributed to these missing elements too. There is a certain roughness that comes with nostalgia, because it is a feeling rather than something clear and tangible.
Another factor that unfortunately affected my experience with A Time Called Love was the somewhat toxic discussion comparing the two productions. I started watching the early episodes without thinking too much about the original and came into the comments section to express my enjoyment for the remake, only to find a lot of silly and infantile behaviour. Instead of helping people discover the joys and magic of the original through this adaption, i'm sure it turned people off instead, which is a real shame. I started thinking too much about the original while watching the remake, which made the experience less immersive and consequently less emotional, unfortunately.
If you are unsure whether this is worth watching because of all the criticisms coming from fans of the original, I would definitely still give this a chance, especially if you are new to the story. You'll be able to enjoy it without being coloured by the original. I also encourage you to watch the Taiwanese version too. If you end up liking the original more, at least you were able to still enjoy this one too without the comparison. Those who feel Someday or One Day is significantly better do make a valid point, however: that it's better to experience such a complex story at its best first, especially given the tension, build-up, and plot twists in the final episodes. (Either way, I would still try to give some time between watching the two versions so the details have faded a bit!) I would be curious to see whether some of the magic and excitement is inevitably lost when watching a retelling of the same story, regardless of the order.
Final verdict: I really enjoyed both versions and thought the casting was very good here. For various reasons, however -- and many not exactly the fault of the production -- there was a certain nostalgic and emotional connection missing for me when I watched the Korean version. Overall, still a solid remake.
(Slightly spoilery) lingering questions/thoughts:
* Based on the timeline, I didn't think Jun Hee stayed around long enough to be putting up Christmas decorations at the record store. Was this a continuity error or did I overlook something?
* Are we to assume the real person died in the 2007 car accident when NSH transmigrated into their body, since they don't seem to have any memories of the other person?
