watch this for the cast chemistry!

I have read the reviews and yes it’s a trope we’ve seen… but this drama does it perfectly! First of all the cast is stellar! All the characters are so well developed I was sucked into each story as much as the main leads. I loved loved the chemistry with the FL and ML, but the second leads story gave me equal heart flutters… Everything in this drama just worked perfectly - even the Grandpa fit into this just beautifully. He just loves his grandson so much he wants him to be happy… no picky snobbish elitist - he wants his grandson to be happy.. very refreshing…
Here’s the real treat about this drama- the FL and her best friend stole the show for me. They were just adorable… true best friends -no drama,no love triangles just pure fun together. I found myself wanting to watch those two together even more than the romances (which are sizzling) The girls would do anything for each other which is how the FL got into the situation in the first place. The ML
and his best friend the second ML equally as attached and devoted to each other. This drama was so well done - nothing was missed and I am watching it for the 3rd time already. Once all
is revealed the couple works through every obstacle together. No ridiculous plot twists just great character development. Lastly, I dare you to not find the theme song running through your head-‘it’s that addictive!! Enjoy you won’t regret it!

Why should someone watch this ? You obviously should !!

First of all, major thanks to the writers and the whole team who made this possible. It was indeed such a treat to watch ! Such a refreshing drama. The actors have made complete justice to their roles. They have truly lived the parts. This is what you need to unwind.

# The main leads were just amazing. Did not feel a lag in their acting at all.
# The second leads were also equally amazing.
# The rest of the supporting cast have also carried the show seamlessly
# The comedy element has worked out perfectly. Absolute delight !!

Overall whoever is planning to watch the show please don't miss this gem.
It is saddening that this show has come to an end.
Eagerly waiting for more such beautiful content.
Once again, kudos to the whole team !!!!

"YOU GOT THIS! FIGHTING GIRL!"

I found this drama a well-executed webtoon adaptation as compared to True Beauty in terms of editing and acting.

STORY: (8.0/10) This drama catch my attention because of hype and I expected a lot. Well, I had so much fun watching the first few episodes and experiencing all the romantic excitement in all the cliché scenes. This drama is lighthearted. No complicated plots and issues encountered are being solved easily.

ACTING/CAST: (10/10) Casting was on point! Kim Se Jeong is really good in acting this kind of character and Ahn Hyo-Seop has that vibes of a young, cold yet good-looking president! The second leads has their own charms therefore you won't find yourself skipping their parts only to watch the main leads.

OVERALL: (8.0/10) To be honest, since this are no complicated plots and this is just a light drama, I am glad that it has only 12 episodes. Actually, I am thinking if 8 episodes will do :D The last episodes felt rushed and reduced the drama's charm. I don't know. Maybe its just me. Haha!

PS: Well, the English conversations between Young-So and her cousin is always so fun to watch! You got this! Fighting girl! LOL.

Typical Romcom kdrama

I honestly feel like the show started out as funny and enjoyable but dramatically declined after a couple episodes. the (main) characters were interesting and actually had some individuality to them. gum-hui, for example, was such a fun and unpredictable character and gave the show the “quirkiness” that it desperately needed. after a few episodes, it just got so mediocre, stoic, and cliche…i couldn’t get the hype over it. i think i’ve watched atleast 5 other dramas with the same exact office setting and hot-rich-ceo dude x poor-girl-trope. we got the typical hospital episode, beach episode, field day, uncomfortably fancy restaurant date, and most importantly, the dramatic girl slip and mid-air catch with one hand. it’s actually impressive how these script writers fail to change up the storyline even after like 20 years of the same plot. and honestly, i was much more interested in the second lead bc they actually had some chemistry. overall, i don’t think it’s the worst drama ever but definitely not the best and most unique. i honestly expected much more seeing the high ratings and continuous hype around it. maybe they’re newer k-drama fans who are just getting around romcoms? for us oldies, it’s nothing too special. just a typical romcom kdrama to watch whenever you’re bored. that’s my take!

It surprised me how much I enjoyed it

This drama is full of cliches and corny moments but it didn't made me cringe at all. What makes this drama so different is that it doesn't take itself too seriously and Sejeong's acting is amazing. The cast make it very enjoyable and fun and the script is definitely better than most of the dramas in this genre. I'm not a fan of the fake dating trope but the way it was developed it was very fun and dynamic. This doesn't only apply to the main couple but the second one too, I enjoyed watching them both. Kim Minkyu really impressed me and I can't wait until he gets a male lead role. Something I found lacking was the OST situation but its not that big of a turn off. I'm happy I started this drama and I'll definitely rewatch it in the future.

Lighthearted, comedic, rushed?

While the ending is rushed (side storylines deserved better resolutions), most of the season has decent pacing. Many romantic cliches are turned into awkward moments/jokes and they go all in with over-acting, editing and sound effects to play up the comedy. (As a heads up there is A LOT of second hand embarrassment, it is their main comedy device.)

Most of the actors are selling it. The friendships are definitely one of its strengths & the family and workspace dynamics are usually fairly entertaining.

--- spoilers below ---

My list of highlights would be:

* Young Seo and Shin Hari's friendship! It feels most solid and fleshed out – they genuinely feel like close friends. They bicker, they are supportive whenever they need it & call each other out without reservations.
* Young Seo's acting overall is just so fun to watch.
* Shin Hari's appearance & acting actually changes with her roles.
* The work team dynamic is mostly entertaining and has a few touching moments.
* Shin Hari & Tae-moo have a few very lovely bonding moments.
* The second love interest wasn't really a doable love interest at any point. They part ways on good terms.
* The guys are mostly respectful when it matters the most?
* The editing and sound effects are great.

But some things were really dragging it down, too:
* Most characters are exactly the same in the beginning and at the end.
* Too many characters only exist for comedic purposes, but are used in serious plots. (Like Young Seo's cousin ruining her meeting with Sung Hoon's parent figure.)
* Most plots don't actually have consequences. For example, no one ever did anything after Shin Hari's defamation. She was supposed to be forced to resign/move away, she said no, and the editing specifically hid the response to that. Then they move on as if it never happened.
* I also really, really hoped for defamation lawsuit. When your entire career and reputation is ruined after the same person broke your friend's heart, you don't just shrug it off. On that note–
* The show's morals are very confusing and inconsistent. Min-woo thought his friend is in an abusive relationship and punched the assumed abuser, then got scolded. He found out he got cheated on & got scolded for being upset about it. I have no idea what moral stance the show was trying to take there??
* Or like when Young Sae's cousin does almost the same thing she did (pine after Sung Hoon that rejects her and make scenes about it), but it's framed as pathetic instead of funny/romantic.
* Young Seo mentions being in heavy debt, but that's just one-off comment again.
* The families never meet. Shin Hari's parents could get along with Tae-moo's grandpa, but they are never even in the same room. The show completely forgot Tae-moo's grandpa complains about living alone and having meals alone. Extended family dinners when?
* Hitting people is still supposed to be funny when it's the mother doing it.
* Last few episodes have very confusing flashbacks.
* Tae-moo doesn't appear traumatized from having a car accident when rushing over to Shin Hari, even though the theme of the episode is dealing with his trauma from his parents' car accident. It's just not even addressed.
* Last minute sickness for drama, yet easily curable off-screen. Come on.
* Forced separation/time skip. Really thought we avoided that one, but no.
* We never even learn what Young Seo's new business plan is?

I'll stop here as the review is getting too long, but yeah, tl;dr don't think about the plot too much and then it can be fun!

A pure shot of dopamine

Suuuper cute and fun in the beginning but sadly fizzled out by the end. Full of tropes and cliches, but self-aware and doesn't take itself too seriously, the show is an absolute delight in the first 5-6 episodes. I literally almost squealed and laughed out loud on PUBLIC TRANSPORT multiple times while binging this. It's like a pure dose of joy and sunshine.

The second main pair grew on me sooo much and I felt more invested in them than in the lead couple. Young-seo and Sung-ho are just 🥺🥺🥺 so precious 🥺🥺🥺

Sad that the second half of the drama became like a conventional kdrama (just like Extraordinary Attorney Woo), losing much of the liveliness and character of the first half.

Rom-Com lovers assemble!

This show is the epitome of a cliché K-drama, but in the best way possible. It has all the classic tropes: the male lead pursuing the female lead, a domineering CEO (with *trauma*, of course), a badass(kinda) female lead, and steamy romance.
The chemistry between the ML and FL is OFF THE CHARTS. They share a deep understanding, zero insecurity, and unwavering trust. Once they’re together, they MOSTLY stay together—no unnecessary angst, just two people who go out of their way to be with each other. And as if that wasn’t enough to make you feel painfully single, the second leads come in. The second FL is hands down the coolest character in this show, and her chemistry with the second ML is INSANE; you’ll be begging for a spin-off just for them. The only missing cliché? "Take the money and leave my son." No ugly jealousy plots from "rivals in love".
Plot-wise, there’s nothing groundbreaking, it’s the classic "CEO falls for Cinderella" story, but executed SO WELL that you don’t even care. The music gets a high rating ONLY because of *"Love, Maybe"*—that song is never leaving my playlist. Ever.
This show has become my ultimate comfort watch. Whenever I’m in a slump or out of things to watch, I rewatch it. And since there's no real plot to spoil? ENDLESS REWATCH VALUE. The acting? Decent for a romcom. Expect laughs, butterflies, and falling completely in love with the characters. Most importantly: HAPPY ENDING.

Best Besties and a Drama with REAL CHEMISTRY? This is it!

Okay it's been a week since I watched it and i had to let it sit and marinate before I leave a rating.

This drama was HELLA GOOD! I loved the acting and the humour a lot and. there. was. chemistry!!!!
The plot itself was really interesting too, even though it was your almost typical "poor woman meets rich man" drama. It still was very entertaining and I was amazed by the way the characters interacted with each other. Hari's Style is IMMACULATE BY THE WAY. I also adore how hardworking she is.

No Besties Best-ied as hard as Hari and Young-so before. My 21-year-old-heart craves such a friendship even though I feel too old to hope for one haha.

All in all a great drama that portrayed everything really well and stuck with me for a while.
There are some small scenes that i skipped because as far as I can remember, the pace slowed down too much sometimes. Still enjoyable and recommandable! Very nice work!
