Web comic drama done right!!

I won't reiterate what many people have said about this drama because honestly there are so many great things.

I want to get at the drama's ability to embrace its absurdity. A lot of rom-com dramas fail to recognize that their plot is ridiculous and absurd, A Business Proposal takes the ridiculousness of its plot and runs with it. Like come on, Rich ML/Poorer FL, contract relationship, narcissistic ML, and hard-working FL are all classic pillars of K-Drama fluff. However, A Business Proposal rids itself of all the boring and eye-roll-inducing parts of fluff drama, no drawn-out miscommunication, no overly controlling ML/weak and indecisive FL, and most importantly NO TAKING ITSELF TOO SERIOUSLY. I have watched countless dramas that drag themselves out by adding unnecessary parental or past drama that adds nothing to the fluff piece that everyone was watching for.

This drama takes the advice I scream into my computer with at almost every other drama, "THE PLOT IS RIDICULOUS, EMBRACE IT!!!"

Treat yourself to this sweet cheese cake

so kdramas have taken a turn in recent years to more complex storylines (horror, dark, infidelity, etc) i started to miss the cliche romance, "rich guy poor girl", and "contract marriage" type of dramas. so i was really happy to try this this drama because i haven't seen a drama with this storyline in a while.

This is sweet but not cringe, the arcs aren't dragged out and there aren't many unnecessary scenes. you might need to hang on till episode 3 to get hooked but it will be such a beautiful ride. There are so many funny scenes (not cringe funny). and you will fall in love with all the characters really.

So in summary, it is not a revolutionary storyline, very predictable but done really nice with great acting . if you have missed the rich guy poor girl or contract marriage dramas, you will love this. they need to make light dramas like this once in a while the complex and dark dramas can get tiring. still hoping they will make more action romance dramas like healer

I'm not hating any of the actors , i'm just saying my review about it , and thanks .

Like everyone knows , this drama is still airing and it will end the next week after airing four more episodes . We don't know yet the end and what's going to happen at the last ep . So , basically , I started watching this drama after it aired 4 ep . My frien kept talking about it and she really liked the main couple and the story so I tried to give it a try . It was funny to watch it but I didn't like it that much 'cause it's like every classiqye drama trope . Anyway , without any spoilers , I'm just watching it just for thee second couple (seong-hun & young-seo) because they suit each other so much amd making it so easy for me to watch it .
These days , Ithink I've know why I didn't like this drama very much ; because almost every kdrama I've watched it is action , thiller and melodrama genre . So maybe it didn't suit me that much .
Thanks for reading my review and I hope it helped you !!

It was cute in the beginning but now.....

Some scenes are cringe and the love story is too fast. In the beginning Shin Ha Ri acting as Jin young Seo was awesome, it was giving me that feeling to keep watching, but then Kang Tae Mu started to like Shin Ha Ri a bit to fast. I overall like the drama, but at places it just doesn't make sense. Especially their first kiss. Shin Ha Ri fell on Kang Tae Moo. That was so cringe and unrealistic. Plus I still don't understand, why Kang tae Moo sued that secret video maker. By doing that it was JIN YEOUNG SEO he helped, not SHIN HA RI. But it's good overall, just lacks that factor which motivates me to keep watching. And the second lead couuple is the best stress reliever ~~~ Gosh I love them<<<<<<3 If you dont want to watch this because of main couple, watch it for the secound lead couple.

I LOVE THIS DRAMA AND IM GONNA MISS IT SM

Usually i don't enjoy watching dramas as their airing because i'm impatient and i don't like to wait LOL but seriously watching this drama weekly as it came out was one of my best decisions. The chemistry between Tae-moo and Ha-ri had me crying on the floor everytime i watched the episode. The romance is really fast-paced as there are only 12 episodes but to be honest i didn't even notice, so i'm sure a lot of people will also enjoy the shenanigans these two cuties get up to together! Furthermore Sung-Hoon and Yeong-seo, I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THEM. I usually have no interest in second lead couples but these two were adorable, i was giggling everytime they came up, in love <3 The friendship/bromance/sismance between the lead and second lead couple was to die for, made me so happy to watch them! Lastly, BYUNGCHAN!!!!!! IM GONNA MISS THIS SHOW SO FREAKING MUCHHH

This is now my favourite romcom drama ever.

It's RARE that I watch a drama while it's still airing, but A Business Proposal had me hooked since the first episode. I read the webtoon and was anticipating the release of this drama, and it certainly did not disappoint. This has now cemented itself as my favourite romcom drama ever, and with good reason! My husband loves it too, and he doesn't usually watch dramas with me!

1. Story
Fake dating turned secret office romance. It's tropey, sure, but the drama executed it so well! I'm not usually a fan of "fake" anything, but this was resolved very quickly and truths are revealed quite soon. In fact, a lot of the conflicts introduced within the episode are resolved by the end of the episode. Also, can we talk about how many tropes this drama subverts?? So many different tropes are introduced, but how the characters deal with them are unlike anything I've seen before. It results in so many hijinks and fun moments. This drama is so hilariously self-aware that it is refreshing to watch. EVERYTHING about this drama was refreshing to watch. I love how we get to see a very strong sismance and bromance. Ha-ri and Young-seo's friendship is so real. They're two strong, independent women who truly love and support each other. Then we have the bromance of Tae-moo and Sung-hoon. We see them act as boss/secretary, but also as two brothers who love to tease each other while still being each other's voice of reason (moreso in the case of Sung-hoon to Tae-moo, haha). And of course, the two love stories of our couples Ha-ri/Tae-moo and Young-seo/Sung-hoon are not to be discounted either! There were SO many swoon-worthy scenes that left me giggling and blushing. This drama has the TWO hottest scenes I've ever scene in a kdrama from recent memory.

2. Acting/Cast
Amazing. There was so much chemistry between all of the cast members that it almost felt voyeuristic watching the characters they play since it all felt SO REAL. It was like I was just looking on at someone's real life.

3. Music
Love the OST.

4. Rewatch Value
I mean... I kept rewatching previous episodes while waiting for the new ones to come out so I'd say rewatch value is a solid 10 out of 10! I can see myself rewatching this many more times in the future. This is the perfect drama to feel happy.

Overall, this was a wonderful drama and my new favourite. I am genuinely sad it is over. I can only hope we see the actors in more projects together. Their chemistry is unreal!!

One of the Best K dramas I've seen in a long time.

It's really funny, sweet, some romance already, good looking casts, and great storyline. Love it so so much....everyone should watch this if you still haven't yet. I wish there are more episodes than just 12 episodes. Or make a season 2. Please!!! I can't wait for each episode each week. Just too long to wait?? My daughter and I watch this together. That's also our weekly bonding time too. Come out more romance and funny storyline like these. What happen to Park Seo Joon, Cha Eun Woo, and lee je-hoon. Come back and give us more of your great dramas.

COMMON THEME AND UNLIKELY CHEMISTRY

i have a lot of expectation on this drama since i enjoy rom-coms... but after watching half of the 12-part series, i dropped it. First, i don't like the chemistry and acting of the two leads, i appreciated the 2nd leads more actually. Secondly , the story line is so common and expected. A usual "cinderella " theme type of drama. Maybe , its because I watched Twenty-One, Twenty-Five first, where I appreciated the chemistry and acting of the two leads there, wherein, the leads of this drama failed to show in my opinion.

Story wise, "A Business Proposal" has an obvious turn about of events and a noticeable "awkwardness" between the the two leads, which gives me the feeling of discontent, thus, ending up dropping the rest of the episodes.

One of the Best Rom-Coms ever!!

A Business Proposal, if not the best, is one of the best romantic comedies you can ever watch. Its romance and comedy are on point. And no matter how many clichés we've watched, they'll probably never be enough. ABP has all our beloved clichés. You name it, ABP has it.
One of the reasons why this was great is the fact that it was never unnecessarily dragged. The story went in the right pace and we didn't have to wait a lot of episodes to see things get in line. Mondays were never as enjoyable as they were the 6 weeks this aired. Its only flaw was that it was just 12 episodes long and maybe for the same reason, *minor spoiler* the ending seemed to have been rushed a little.
The acting was fantastic. Whether it was Ahn Hyo Seop, Kim Se Jeong, Kim Min Gue or Seol In Ah, everyone was perfect in their roles. There's lots of chemistry between the couples and also bromance and sismance that shouldn't be missed. The rest of the cast was amazing too. The soundtracks were all good but Love, Maybe is addictive. The direction, cinematography etc. were all very nicely done.
I'd recommend this a 100% !!!
If you're looking for a light-hearted show with not too much drama, A Business Proposal is what you need.
Happy Viewing :)

Grandfather

I hate the grandfather so much. He wanted his grandson to have a child but he oppose his gf. I like it because it has funny scenes and makes me laugh. I also like the part male lead gets jealous over Chef Min Woo. Shin Ha-ri is his employee and like Chef Min Woo for seven years. Male lead was busy with working and attending college so he didn’t have time to date anybody. They had a contract with each other.Male lead probably liked her from the start with the arranged marriage that he asked her to marry him.

Beloved romcom tropes done brilliantly

This show proves that when you take well-known storylines and write them well, the result can be delightful. Throw in an incredibly likable and talented cast and you have magic.

Business Proposal is an ice cream sundae of a show with a sweet delicious cherry on top, and I am enjoying every minute of it. The second leads are just as delightful as the main characters, too! I'm sad this show is only 12 episodes, but I also realize that if they made it a full 16 episodes and delved more fully into some of the characters and their backstories it would take away part of what makes this show so much fun.

I am sad this show is almost over but I look forward to rewatching whenever I've had a bad day.

Well Worth the Watch

I so enjoyed this Kdrama, it had literally had so many funny moments in it, at first I thought another boss / love story but this was a little better and had more humor in it.

This drama started with a bang and continued and the reason for this is that this drama is that it's fun and easy to watch, you will be swooning over the romance. whether it's the first lead or second lead, this drama is filled with amazingly passionate couple chemistry and makes this drama so swoon-worthy... A drama can't be any more cliché than this one, but the comic side of this drama is what kept going.

The cast were amazing, especially the main couples and the second main couples were just as funny if not more, you have a strong friendship between the two guys, and even stronger friendship between the girl, they each have they own story or funny moments but at the same time they always come together and be there for each other, you have a Grandfather who is so funny and determined but at the same time acceptable.

I did like the fact that it was 12 episode as opposed to the normal 16, however there are 1 hour long (which can be drag at times for Kdrama) but this was well worth the hours watched, the pacing was good and moved along really well.

Also the supporting actors in this drama. They were fun to watch. Be it the ML's grandfather or the FL's family members or coworkers. They all were a joy to watch on the screen. Especially the women of this drama were just too cute. A special shout out to Seo Hye Won and Im Ki Hong's characters. They both were just too good.

There are many other reasons to watch the drama which you would only know if you start this drama. So don't give a second thought and start this drama. As I assure you won't be wasting your time.

Overall: 110% Recommend
