Light, refreshing and a bit of comedy
This show brought me back to my shounen anime times and I love it! The comedic relief was well placed and the storyline was interesting but not too complex and deep. The cast did a great job brining the characters to life but I just didn’t vibe with the romance. Nothing against the actors, I just think the characters didn’t fit well together. In eyes, besties would’ve worked better.Hoping for season 2!

Good series, not addictive, worth seeing for Dylan Wang's performance!
Isékai adventure series with DYLAN WANG (immersion in a role-playing game)PLOT: A team of real estate salespeople does a role play. The ML finds himself in a universe structured by the Guardians (bronze, silver, gold), the Office of Astronomy, the Scholars and of course the nobles and the Court (with a paranoid and psycho emperor). He will make his way by solving cases, until he becomes a powerful warrior, helped by a band of rather mysterious martial artists.
+++ A role that allows Dylan Wang to show all facets of his talent
+++ Excellent actors, bringing endearing characters to life (family, martial arts gang, guards)
+++ High quality special effects (fight scenes, CGI)
+++ excellent OST
### Confused Storyline
### The viewer is aware that all this takes place in an immersive role-playing game, so this creates a distance, from the unfolding of the action.
### some characters are there to lighten the story (aunt, uncle, 2nd princess) but they are excessive.
=> Good series, not addictive, worth seeing for Dylan Wang's performance!

+++ OST excellentes

A very good Cdrama you will ever watch
You will never find a storyline like this. It's a very worth to watch! The entire cast are truly amazing. If you want to watch a humor and action, I really recommend you this drama. The plot twist is also good. Actually, I want to see why Qi An's father did all of the problems. Can't bear seeing Qi An not remembered by his family🥲Well, I hope the Princess and Qi An will be together even though Qi An only have a noue title. Can't wait to see the season 2. Hopefully there will be 40 episodes too!Was this review helpful to you?
Good start..
Visually, the costumes and sets were appealing, but the script failed to capture the depth and complexity of the period. The plot relied too heavily on clichés, and some historical details felt inaccurate or oversimplified. Performances were uneven, with certain roles coming across as one-dimensional.The storyline started with potential but quickly became predictable and repetitive. Character development felt shallow, and many emotional scenes lacked impact due to forced dialogue. The pacing dragged in several episodes, making it hard to stay engaged. Overall, it felt like a missed opportunity.

When is season two coming out?
Another masterpiece nobody talks about. This series is well-written, especially in the investigative, mystery, and comedy genres, which really kept me entertained throughout the entire series, and it didn't have a single flaw. What I really enjoyed about this series the most was the intellectual part some of the characters played, like Xu Qi An and Wei Yuan, which I find really engaging, from how they discover some of the mysteries in the story, to how they plan their schemes and execute them to forward their plans, had had me really excited as i like when characters play smart in series.Although the romance genre was subtle, it still gave us temporary satisfaction between the two main characters as they care for and support one another. I always love it when the time-travel genre is infused with the fantasy genre, which kind of makes me feel energised and intrigued to watch the particular series. However, I also don't like the movie directors and writers leaving me with a cliff-hanger, as I hate being left curious and wondering what will happen next. And the perfect example is My Journey to You.
Lastly, I would absolutely recommend this series for anyone to watch. ^~^

Dylan is the perfect fit for this role
Ok first of all Princess Lin'an is a super-annoying character, and I almost gave up on the show when she started getting more screentime. Luckily, I powered through and was not disappointed. This show was so fun and lighthearted for most episodes that I wasn't prepared for Xu Qi'an's transformation (albeit provoked) into a no-nonsense, bone-breaking, body-dragging, enemy-beheading executioner. I thought it was an interesting progression for his character development, and perhaps the start of an arc where he would be feared rather than loved. I was curious about what would happen next. But, to my dismay, the writers took the easy way out and essentially "reset" everyone's memory with a spell of forgetfulness.
Aside from the lousy ending, I felt like there were some lazy plot holes here and there throughout the show... but overall, it was still quite entertaining. Definitely looking forward to a second season.

Sweet and often humorous
Okay, the story has a predictable sort of story to it, but I have enjoyed almost everything about it. Sets are lovely, and the male players have good costumes (which is mainly how I got into Chinese Historical dramas).I laugh a lot, and have gotten quite touched by the male lead's family, and their honest love of each other.... and I enjoy the fantastical, as... after all? Our young man is in a game, for goodnesssakes.
So: Within this predictable sorta tale, there is a sweetness and a few surprises!
I'm a big fan of Ni Hong Jie. Her acting feels so sincere.

His master
The bond between Wei Yuan and Shu Qian is so strong that it moves me deeply. The way Wei Yuan protected Shu Qian, and Shu Qian's honest and playful nature, is truly charming. The courage to stand up and fight anyone just to correct a mistake is truly admirable. The way wei yuan protected and cared for his comrade was just like a father would. In the end, though, it's heartbreaking. The story feels incomplete. The ending is unexpected. It's one of the most beautiful dramas I’ve ever watched.

Through most of the episodes, this show had me cracking up every few minutes. Somewhere mid-series it also began to bring tears to my eyes. I'm always impressed when a show can successfully deliver such opposing emotions. I've decided that Wang HeDi is quite a talented actor. Daoming Si, Dongfang Qingcang, and now Xu ChiAn are three very different characters, but he plays each one so naturally, like it was tailor-made for him. In this one it seems like he is just showing up to work to play around and hang out with his buddies (but in a "it looks natural" way, not a "not putting in effort" way)-this just seems like his real personality. So who knows? At episode 8, my thoughts were:
Anyway, I'm liking it a lot so far. However, there is frequent gruesomeness that I wish were excluded. Torture. grrrrr
I decided that I need to go back and collect the proverbs that Wang He Di keeps tossing out. Golden. I need them for my students. And so far, none of the actors/characters are irritating me, which is a refreshing change. All of the major characters seem tailer-made for their actors (or vice-versa...?). In that way, I'm very impressed. I do have apprehensions though that some romance will be spilled in and mess up the groove. As much as I live for romance, in a few instances it just messes up a good thing. This is one of those where it is completely unnecessary.
Further along in the series I realized that there was one person who bothered me. That annoying gold guardian girl. I don't know what her deal was, but she rubbed me the wrong way. However, she did provide me with this little bit of amusement: "That annoying gold guardian girl. We'll call her AGG. So AGG is doing her cranky whiney thing, and Gold Guardian hyeong is not paying attention. She stops walking, smacks him, and says, "I'm sowing discord. Show me some respect." Wha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!! I'm sowing discord! I love it! How can I work that in to a casual conversation?"
Although I enjoyed the series as a whole, I had to skip most of the final three episodes because of the graphic nature (more torture). I think there out to be a warning keyword for torture and similar drama aspects. After completing the series I'm left with a lot of unanswered questions and I was not a fan of what felt like a rushed ending. Since I learned that a season 2 was coming as I watched this, I wasn't as bothered by the final as I would normally be, but I'm still not happy with it. In the end, I came for Wang HeDi, and stayed because of the fantastic relationships/interactions and natural acting. I lost track of how many times I thought of The Avengers or Ocean's while watching this. Oh, and Wang HeDi is right, he is perfect for this role.

It's Not a Cliffhanger—It's Like Everyone Just Left the Set
My relatively low score reflects my disappointment when I realized I'd watched 40 episodes and the drama just abruptly stopped without wrapping anything up. If season 2 comes out while I'm still alive, I'll revisit my rating and likely award more stars. At the moment, I'm disgruntled to have invested so much time to have been given an incomplete story.Slapstick isn't my thing, but I gave an extra half star for Dylan Wang. He's a natural at comedy, and his smile adds to the fun. FL has a cute smile, too, with her winking dimple.

Wonderful, Dylan nailed it
Overall it was a wonderful surprise that I was not expecting to enjoy. Dylan really nailed the acting: the humor and the serious parts. The characters were all wonderful and felt like they had more depth than what could be expected for this genre. The brotherhood, friendships, and family bonds were really touching. I can't wait for Season 2I'm mainly lowering my rating because there were parts that were rushed and glossed over: I feel like there were parts such as the introduction of Lin'an and that whole fiasco that could have been drastically cut in favor of fleshing out some of the later parts.

This is the first time I have given such a high score to a drama with poor logic
This drama deserves to be seen by more peopleAdvantages of this drama:
1. Many laugh-out-loud moments
2. There are some quite impressive scenes with emotional fluctuations
Disadvantages:
Logicality requires viewing without thinking。
