Great Chinese-drama that causes me to anxiously chasing for the upcoming episodes to release...
This is indeed a very nice C-drama with suspense story plot that makes each episodes a mystery to watch. Everytime I thought the story is leading towards an outcome I predict, it ends up with a surprise tweak with the storyline and makes me to be anxiously wanting to watch the next episode like... right now! However, we have to follow the release time of the studio that broadcast this drama that we follow.I like the overall story flow as it managed to show the details of the storyline for me. In each of the scenes, I find the lighting and props for this C-drama capture are well planned, and the acting expression of the actors and actresses are all very well executed. Hence, the cast of this C-drama indeed have shown their great acting skills to my level of liking. Best part for this C-drama is that at the ending of each episodes, it also comes with Bonus Footage that became the filler for viewers to better understand the storyline. I kind of like how the Director came out with this idea...
I highly recommends all to watch this C-drama, if you have not done so. It's indeed awesome and entertaining to watch with family together. Once you start watching it, you'll be anxiously watching until the last episode and only in the final episode, it will reveal the true mystery. I will classify this C-drama as semi happy ending with a nice closing, which many new recent drama failed to achieve this classification and left the viewers with cliff-hanging feeling.
P/S: The opening OST is very nice to listen as it comes with nice melody and the singer vocal is great too. Kudos to the singer for this opening OST.

Absolutely unpredictable!
Amazing drama!!! I really liked its uniqueness; its creativity and the story were absolutely fascinating!!! I really enjoyed it, and I believe it has a hidden meaning in everything that happened and a teaching. Thank you so much for producing this series! for me is 10/10 I highly recommend you watch it if you need something fresh and different and unpredictable.Was this review helpful to you?

At first I didn’t really know that she was dreaming I just thought she was time travelling but When I was on episode 17/18 I got an spoiler saying that she is just on her dream none of these things are real.. So I thought I might not understood the ending & there will be a lot of question on my mind but there wasn’t... They explain the whole thing in the last episode she was just traumatized.... ..
Btw there was One thing that bother me a lot
I was so confused about the male lead but at the end I realized that each of them was a male lead of her life (dream) as she always wanted everyone to love her....... So in her dream everyone loved her.....
But as she couldn’t trust anyone so she created an another character & he was the only one who earned her trust & was there for her no matter what happened or what she did ......

Hua Qian character touched me soo much as sometime I don't really want to wake up from my dream as reality hurts me even if I wake up I try to sleep again so that I can be in that dream again & be happy as I was there.........
The female character is just ❤️ would love watch her future work ✨

Plot twist was done so beautifully.
I didnt expect to like this show as much as i did. Even though the scenes between the ML and FL is less they do such a wonderful job and their chemistry is awesome. The ending and the twist had me crying my eyes out, it is so well done. The only issue i have with this show is i wanted more scenes with FL and ML but the twist kinda explained why it was not written that way. A superb drama, fabulously interpreted and masterfully produced
This is a super addictive series with great actorsPLOT: The FL forced the ML2 into a marriage, even she knows he loves the FL. 2 years later, she lost everything: divorce, father beheaded, family ruined, herself on the run and beaten in court... She wakes up 2 years earlier, on her wedding night, and decides to "put everything back in order", but it turns out to be more difficult than expected ;)
What I liked:
+ the CL, adorable, with Zhou Ye & Wang Xing Yue (no kiss, but an intense chemistry)
+ The FL is intelligent, determined.
+ The story is well constructed, credible, respecting the statutes, rules & protocols of his time.
+ The production is effective, without length, giving clues little by little, and maintaining the suspense skillfully.
+ The OSTs are well suited to the emotions of the different scenes.
+ Even the ending is satisfying, credible, logical.
What I liked less:
# The ML2 and FL2 display a poker face in the majority of scenes. FL2 is supposed to be very beautiful (so that all the men who meet her will fall for her) but I find her much less pretty than most of the servants in this series...

Série super addictive et avec de grands acteurs
PLOT: La FL a forcé le ML2 dans 1 mariage, sachant qu'il aime la FL. 2 ans + tard, elle a tout perdu : divorce, père décapité, famille ruinée, elle-même en fuite et battue au tribunal ... Elle se réveille 2 ans + tôt, le soir de ses noces, et décide de "tout remettre en ordre", mais cela s'avère + difficile que prévu ;)
What I liked :
+ le CL, adorable, avec Zhou Ye & Wang Xing Yue
+ La FL est intelligente, déterminée.
+ La story est bien construite, crédible, respectant les statuts, les règles & protocoles de l'époque.
+ La réalisation est efficace, sans longueur, donnant des indices peu à peu, et maintenant le suspense habilement.
+ Les OST sont bien adaptées aux émotions des différentes scènes.
+ Même la fin est satisfaisante, crédible, logique.
What I liked less :
# Le ML2 et la FL2 affichent une poker-face dans la majorité des scènes. La FL2 est sensée être très belle (pour que tous les hommes qui la croisent soient en admiration) mais je la trouve beaucoup moins jolie que la plupart des servantes de cette série.

Surpassed my expectations exceedingly!!
Oh my - my only gripe is that this needs to be another 5 episodes longer!I read some comments about how good this drama is but I have been hindered by how tricky it is to source the drama. I have an Iqiyi and Netflix account and I don't really want to start another subscription. In the end I had to use a streamed website ( with ad blocker) which I don't normally used. After finishing I realized I should have just paid to join amazon Prime or HBO. The drama alone is worth a subscription.
This drama deserves a 9 in MDL in my opinion. I think the rating is on the low side because it is so difficult to find it. I watched the ever popular Pursuit with Jades in Netflix prior to SOT and I must say the later drama blew my mind away so much more. The story telling and the pace are brilliant. There were no dulled moments and the story kept me guessing right to the end. Scripts are great and kept the momentum right to the very end. It reminded me of my first time watching the drama Reset. There were no fillers. I love all the actors.
Do watch this. It has surprisingly landed in my top 10 list.

Wasn't expecting to be so beautiful
I really loved the story and the acting of this drama. Started to watch it with no expectations and ended hooked to every single minute. Very well played by all the characters and filmed very nice, but the FL did the most amazing job. I will rewatch after sometime.It starts with a story which i was confused at the begining, but it all makes sense allong the way. In period dramas i always watch the ending first, even if i watch the 30-40-50 episodes i will not be as disappointed as if i don't know it. When i fast forwarded the last episode, i thought ahh what is this, but gave it a chance and no regrets here. I wish they could show a little bit more of their life together, how she beats the illusions and returns to reality.

Appreciation for the message
Some spoilers ahead: I really enjoyed the drama, there was always the feeling of: I'm not sure who is who and why they do things exactly - wich honestly gave of real life experience and really brought home the ending. For me it was a hard and beautiful message. I truly felt katharsis watching the last episode and having the villainess realise there are no redoes but life goes on and and ther might be a chance for repentance and change. But consequences of are actions stay.I enjoyed the actors the script and the tropes being turned on their heads. FL ending up with staff being one of them. The subtlety of the FL falling in love with the Lord. And the unexpectedness of him falling for her so fast and out of nowhere. Later on everything was explained by the ending. Truly a good drama with good idea and a true message.

So realistic!!!
I was skeptical to watch this, I'm glad I did!!!So unexpected ending it's so realistic. I really love this show. Cast did a very good job!! The story is amazing though I really wanted more into it but the writer leave this for the viewer to continue the ending on our own imagination.
Love both FL and ML finally I'm not feeling sad for the 2nd lead.
It's Amazing work from beginning to end.

second time in my life im writing a review and it coincidentally is also a time-changing drama (the first one was the bl triage AND BOYYY that was so good. different type of time messing around but yaknow)bro. this show was SOO fucking good. best drama ive watched in the past year hands down. the ACTING from my girl. the intelligence, the humor, the romance, the constant energy and pace and storytelling. brilliant. all the tropes i love done so fucking right.
if youre on the edge of watching or not, i truly recommend it.

This show is a love.
If you crave for a slow burning romance than this series a must watch for you.I dont like cringe romance in chinese dramas which is very common.
This show is something I have seen for the first time in chinese drama.
Female lead has potrayed her character with so much versatility. I just loved her in this show.
Story is complex but very engaging to make us hold on to it till the very end.
I liked the romance arc between female lead , her guard and the lord.
Almost every character in this show has shown as grey and which is relatable to our real life. Thats why I am loving this show very much.
