Friends to Lovers!
8.75!I binged watched this in 3 days...
The first few episodes are kind of questionable, but the more you watch, the better it gets.
Story:
-there's this sort of safety you feel when watching this, because the first scene is the main leads getting married. So you know whatever comes their way, they'll overcome it!
-friendship was shown, but they still focuses on the main leads
-the main leads relationship got healthier with each episode (that was really great)
-both main leads were able to reject others in a graceful and honorable way
-main leads were adorable
-ml isn't a jerk! Although he was a "lone wolf" kind of guy, he was never actually mean. He was a chill guy
-Although they only realized feelings kind of late, I really enjoyed the main leads purely platonic friendship (with random intimate hugs that they don't talk about đđđ)
-was realistic, but still eventful. The conflicts that happened made sense and were reasonable (and similar to real life)
-usually when there are study for school scenes and work scenes, it's easy to get bored. But the way how they did it made me anxious about those problems too. It made me care about these other plots and not find them boring (like I usually do)
-time skips were done well. They actually looked older each time.
-ending was adorable, but could have been better. Slightly tropey.
-there was a plot that had to do with fl, that was dropped and never picked up. I wouldn't call it a loose end, but I wished they'd gone farther with it. But, this is a fluffy youth drama, not a thriller
-I wish there was more romantic tension between the main leads, but this is a fluffy youth drama, so.... Like, they hugged a lot, but kiss, not so much.
-2cp was chaotic. If you feel a lack of angst with the mcp, you can find it in abundance with then 2cp. I don't like too much conflict, so I skipped them.
-bit of a love triangle, but wasn't very bad. Actually, it was a decent love triangle that I don't dislike (which is a rare occurance)
-EDIT: 1/28/2025: The script writers did us dirty. The ml and fl have great romantic chemistry in the bts shots, but didnât write any in to the actual drama. I thought that their chemistry was just not that romantic, it is. You should watch the bts!
Acting:
-both leads acted very well, even though they don't have much experience
-their chemistry was cute and fluffy.
-both leads are really good looking
Music:
-cutesy and enjoyable
-will add to my playlist when I get the chance
Rewatch:
-some plot twists
-but I'd still rewatch when I get the time
To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much. I kind of randomly picked a drama from my Want To Watch list, and I got this! Recommend that others watch too!

Ok Drama
I love the friendships in this drama it feels like a Slice of Life drama. The graduation episode is where I started to feel disconnected from the drama when they finally got together I didnât feel any chemistry between Lin Xi and Ji Jun Xing.I like Lin Xi a lot but I thought she had more chemistry with Qin Kai than the male lead, I feel the male lead and Lin Xi are better as friends. I think I watched Lin Xi and Ji Jun Xing as friends and while I saw that the ML was in love with Lin Xi but she didnât seem to show any signs she felt the same way.

Warm, Fluffy, Feel Good Drama
Watched this for the 2nd time. Hands down! One of the best HS drama! I loved the story line and also the ending showing how they progressed đ got a little teary. I am sucker for those type of happy endings. It was really good. You will love this is if you like series similar to "when I fly towards you". You get a similar vibe - full of charm, friendship, family, no love triangle, romance, etc...

I got swayed by ML
Hehe... the story is ordinary.. but the cast is good.. specially the ML stole the show. Sweet romance with no drama drama. No villain.. so if you want to watch something light romantic then go for it. There's no adult romance and things in this drama so i am sure even 14+ can watch this... loved watching this.đ«¶đ»â€ïžWas this review helpful to you?

SOOO WHOLESOME AND ADORABLEEEE
oh man this almost gave me diabetes with how cute it was it ALSO made me cry. :Dthe storys follows two individuals falling in love, growing up and experiencing life with their adorable friend group,
its everything i ever wanted in a highschool cdrama.
the story progresses very smoothly, the sweet days in their high school to the harsh unforgiving environment of the ''grown up life'' was so beautiful and entertaining to see.
all the characters were extremely likable like no one toxic character here, it felt so raw and real.
the groups friendship was one of the most real i've seen bcz yes friendships have ups and downs and you part ways sooner or later but this was immaculate.
the ending was so fluffy, i love the leads trust and love for eachother, no stupid misunderstandings so breakup so nothing just pure love and commitment.
the other characters dynamic was fun to see the second leads hurt me so bad they're on and off thingy was tiring but man they are just so cute i cry for them.
overall a solid 9/10 WATCH IT

Dull, Teenager drama
Teenager love story in high school
I really wanted to like this, but it was just a mehhhh for me. Nothing special.
It's not bad, It's ok to past time. But you dont real-life get anything from it.
The main good thing about this drama is the friendship between them that lasted until the end.
High-school life until ep17....
Episodes 17 and 18 main plots are lazy writing misunderstandings. Relationships starts at ep 20
First kiss at the end of ep20
Then romance is just ok....
Storyline started good, but then turned into daily High-school life.
I appreciated that there was no irrational love triangle.
We all know that they will get married at the end.... wedding night was a disappointment.... FL talking about marriage life agreement......
You can watch it if you like High-school stories, youll like it.đ

Pretty good
Itâs been a while since I watched this and Iâm just reviewing it now, kind of forgot majority of the plot but reading some comments reminded me a lot about the plot. Obviously nothing extraordinary about it if I needed to read comments to remember most of the plot but It was a pretty good and quick watch and I found it interesting at the time.I did watch this after watching Lighter & Princess. I doubt most series going forward are going to come anywhere close to the chemistry and romance that was masterfully displayed, directed and produced in Lighter and Princess for a while. So I will try not to judge most series with those lens if not most of them will definitely fall short. But this drama did rather ok in the chemistry and romance part compared to other highSchool/College dramas.
Rewatch Value 5/10
Overall 8/10

BASIC AND KIND OF LAZY
i dont understand how this show is so hyped when it was just ... okay?i dragged through the entire thing hoping to understand what everybody saw in this that i just didn't have the ability to see.
the storyline could have been interesting but then it was just.. okay
the friendship aspect was also just....okay
everything about it was just okay and honestly towards the end it was DRAGGING
bit basic and bit boring (but i think i'm the only person that thinks that))

This is a movie that really reminds me of my childhood memories. It's very good, I recommend everyone to watch it once in their life to know the love story between Lin Xi and Ji Jun Xing. I really have to say that Jun Ting and Yu Xiao's acting is so good when I watched it I thought it was good that you really love each other. I must be addicted to those two friends!! I've watched it over and over so many times that I already know the lines. The acting of the actors is also very good , they work well together . Now I think I'm just a little sad for Gao Yun Lang and Yue Yue's love story, they look very nice together. Anyway, I like Chen Mo and Gao Yun Lang as well, they're so cute. As for the duo Mian Mian and Xie Ang . Hia she acted together was also very good and cute, but at the end I almost cried because I thought they broke up. And also the Cuu Dong group, it's such a beautiful friendship of youth, I miss them so much Was this review helpful to you?

I almost dropped this drama after watching the first episode, because Iâm not really a fan where the ending is at the beginning of the drama. Itâs not that I donât want to know what happens, and letâs face it, romcoms typically end with a Happy-Ever-After. It wonât veer from this formula, but Iâm already resigned to this fate without even giving me the chance of speculation. After delaying it for months, I finally got around to watching it. I was mildly surprised I didnât hate it as much as I expected. Maybe this is also due to me failing to recognize Lu Yu Xiao from her Antagonist role in âMy Journey to You.â Here, sheâs a perfect fit as Lin Xi, neither too clingy, nor over-bearing. Although I almost ditched this drama for another reason: I misunderstood her intentions in approaching Ji Jun Xing at the start. Thinking that she would be one of those females chasing the man around with no self-respect. ISWAK really traumatized me in that regard. Â
For his part, Wu Jun Ting is convincing as the aloof Ji Jun Xing, but later warms up to those friends who became part of his inner circle, mostly thanks to the efforts of Lin Xi. Jun Xing and Lin Xiâs journey from strangers to friends to lovers, was really heart-warming to watch. Their romance was a natural progression. Â
In contrast, Yi Mianâs and Xie Angâs on-and-off relationship gave me a whiplash. They break up at the slightest disagreement and get back together when they miss each other. After the nth time they did this, I couldnât care less whether or not they end up together. Â
As for the third pairing, we all know that they are not really your typical type of friendship. There are plenty of hints that there is more going on between Gao Yun Lang and Chen Mo than meets the eye. But alas, we have to play to the hetero-normative construct in order to pass the censors, so we are just presented with the âSocialist brotherhoodâ that seems acceptable.Â
The rest of the characters were not as memorable, except maybe for Qin Kai. He wasnât a strong enough of match for Lin Xi, that I didnât feel any second-lead syndrome at all. But he served his purpose, as well as the rest of the cast. Â
The pacing was well-maintained in the beginning until the tail end, where all the time skips happened. I wanted the dramaâs second half to address or at least include a few things. One being: where were all the parents after their high school days? Somehow, all of them disappeared from the scene, only to be reunited at the end during their wedding. I would have liked to see more of their interaction, especially since Lin Xi and Jin Xingâs family were supposed to be distant relatives. At least, I would have imagined them eating at each otherâs house more often when they became a couple. Â
Also, after all that effort of making the heart-monitoring bracelet, I thought they would show Jin Xingâs brother making use of it. After all, it was for his sake that the idea came to fruition. He, along with the parents, seemed to vanish into thin air once they went to university. Â
Instead, we get a high school reunion of people we hardly saw in the drama, as if I would remember who they were in high school. Iâm not convinced that all their classmates will take part in the surprise marriage proposal that Jin Xing meticulously prepared for, but thereâs dramaland for you. Â
Aside from those things, this drama is decent enough to pass muster. It mainly talks about how people are fated to be together, and how important it is to chase your dreams. Â

The main couple deserved a better story
The story was all over the place, the friend group was boring and didn't make me root for them at all, and even the OST was bad. The secondary couple was terrible and their back and forth was a huge waste of everyones time. The only good thing was the main couple, I really liked their acting and chemistry but the plot made them dirty, they deserved better and I hope to see them together again in a good drama with a better story, cast and production, they would be cute in a fantasy drama togetherWas this review helpful to you?
