Just right and then more..
I love this youth drama, it is the usual coming of age drama that we see mostly in cdrama. Yes, it is predictable but has its own uniqueness from other high school drama. The FL is actually smart and make sense all the time, she can stand on her own. The ML is not some jerk who feel sorry afterwards and he actually fell in love first with the girl. Plus there is an emotional background story on how they met and why the FL follows the ML which makes more sense and have emotional effect on me.The chemistry between the fl and ml are overflowing and they really act naturally that make me wish they date in real life.
Overall, just watch this all light, fun and emotional.

Dang...it was a pretty good run until...
I picked this drama up randomly since I saw it on Youtube and just wanted something nice, sweet, and easygoing. After just a brief look at the reviews, I decided to take a chance on it. From what I saw, everyone said this was such a good, underrated drama and the only reason why it wasn't popular was because of a lesser known cast. So I was all for it and I was really enjoying the episodes honestly. Some of it didn't really make sense but I didn't mind, as long as our little group was having their enjoyable, happy high school days. This drama reminded me a lot of When I Fly Towards You, which I loved so much and so I was very much enjoying this drama as well. That is, until now when I decided to write this review. We'll see how the rest of this drama goes but I reached the point of the drama where Lin Xi is being held back a year because randomly, her father got injured from the people from the car accident. I have a huge issue with this and it just feels so unnecessary for this to happen. I'm not sure why they decided to go this route but I hope it makes sense when I continue watching. If they were going to go this route, I feel like they should have fleshed out the accident story a lot of more and hinted to these troubles prior to doing this. So as of now, I have a bad taste in my mouth from this drama and hence the 7/10 score since I was thoroughly enjoying it before. We'll see if it gets better but I don't have high hopes. Also it's episode 17/25 and our main couple is STILL not together? It's giving draggy at this point. Anyways, I'll be back after I finish this drama, if I finish this drama. Bye for now!UPDATE (beware of spoilers):
I finally finished watching and man, those last 9 episodes were honestly a struggle to get through, even if I was 2x speeding most of the way through. I feel like after they graduated high school, it went downhill. The misunderstandings were dumb, I really hated seeing the second couple and felt like it dragged on way too long, and even though I loved Qin Kai, I can't believe they kept the useless love triangle go on for so long. Honestly, I almost would've preferred to see our FL together with Qin Kai, I feel like their love story had more connection than our main couple. Yeah so overall, I'm quite disappointed and I'm glad I'm done so I can move on to another drama.
UPDATE 2:
OMG. BUT. I did forget to add that I love that this drama decided to sneak some subtle LGBTQ themes in there. Our couple is so cute and even though, it wasn't fully confirmed, I think we all know what really happened. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see it develop completely but the insinuation is there. Hopefully this has a snowball effect for future dramas.

Already In My Rewatch List
I expected this to be a bootleg “A Love So Beautiful” but I was wrong. Very wrong. This is AMAZING! It's similar to "A Love So Beautiful" but doesn't have the horribly rude male lead who the female lead falls in love with. Yeah, Ji Jun Xing had his rude/mean moments but those aren't comparable to Jiang Chen's. Plus Lin Xi isn't as much of a doormat compared to Chen Xiaoxi. She at least knows to stand up for herself when needed. And these two are so cute! They have my heart definitely. So in conclusion, go watch this! :))Was this review helpful to you?
The main couple deserved a better story
The story was all over the place, the friend group was boring and didn't make me root for them at all, and even the OST was bad. The secondary couple was terrible and their back and forth was a huge waste of everyones time. The only good thing was the main couple, I really liked their acting and chemistry but the plot made them dirty, they deserved better and I hope to see them together again in a good drama with a better story, cast and production, they would be cute in a fantasy drama togetherWas this review helpful to you?

Friends to Lovers!
8.75!I binged watched this in 3 days...
The first few episodes are kind of questionable, but the more you watch, the better it gets.
Story:
-there's this sort of safety you feel when watching this, because the first scene is the main leads getting married. So you know whatever comes their way, they'll overcome it!
-friendship was shown, but they still focuses on the main leads
-the main leads relationship got healthier with each episode (that was really great)
-both main leads were able to reject others in a graceful and honorable way
-main leads were adorable
-ml isn't a jerk! Although he was a "lone wolf" kind of guy, he was never actually mean. He was a chill guy
-Although they only realized feelings kind of late, I really enjoyed the main leads purely platonic friendship (with random intimate hugs that they don't talk about 😏😏😏)
-was realistic, but still eventful. The conflicts that happened made sense and were reasonable (and similar to real life)
-usually when there are study for school scenes and work scenes, it's easy to get bored. But the way how they did it made me anxious about those problems too. It made me care about these other plots and not find them boring (like I usually do)
-time skips were done well. They actually looked older each time.
-ending was adorable, but could have been better. Slightly tropey.
-there was a plot that had to do with fl, that was dropped and never picked up. I wouldn't call it a loose end, but I wished they'd gone farther with it. But, this is a fluffy youth drama, not a thriller
-I wish there was more romantic tension between the main leads, but this is a fluffy youth drama, so.... Like, they hugged a lot, but kiss, not so much.
-2cp was chaotic. If you feel a lack of angst with the mcp, you can find it in abundance with then 2cp. I don't like too much conflict, so I skipped them.
-bit of a love triangle, but wasn't very bad. Actually, it was a decent love triangle that I don't dislike (which is a rare occurance)
-EDIT: 1/28/2025: The script writers did us dirty. The ml and fl have great romantic chemistry in the bts shots, but didn’t write any in to the actual drama. I thought that their chemistry was just not that romantic, it is. You should watch the bts!
Acting:
-both leads acted very well, even though they don't have much experience
-their chemistry was cute and fluffy.
-both leads are really good looking
Music:
-cutesy and enjoyable
-will add to my playlist when I get the chance
Rewatch:
-some plot twists
-but I'd still rewatch when I get the time
To be honest, I wasn't expecting too much. I kind of randomly picked a drama from my Want To Watch list, and I got this! Recommend that others watch too!

Definitely a wasted potential but, it was okay-ish
Before I dive into why I wrote a headline that way, I'd like to share the positives of this drama:- The intro to mid plot are awesome. Both leads are tangled in an unfortunate, yet strange relationship where one is the family of the donor, and one is the family of the donor receiver.
- The entire genre and story summary is very promising - as it is supposed to be a love story between 2 successful, smart individuals from teen years.
- The friendship story is always my go-to, and love a strong and solid friendship moments.
- The chemistry between the 2 leads are very cute and refreshing.
- Almost all the characters are likeable, which is rare in the drama world.
- As an additional, the leads are very good looking people. :)
Now let's go for the negatives: (entirely based on my opinion and taste as a watcher)
- The mid-to-last episodes are totally different as it felt like a different drama compared to the first episodes. What I mean especially is how the female lead is breaking her own character. She felt like a stranger when I watched her in mid-to-end episodes.
- Female lead character is poorly developed. Every drama leads needs to have a character development. Especially in this genre where the entire story is about journey to adulthood. Yet, it felt like the female lead character became worse each episode. For instance, where the female lead misunderstood the situation and acted immaturely.
- For the side characters too. Male lead parents are supposed to be open-minded and kind. But for some reason, the writer decided to turn the father into someone very petty and low, where he manipulated female lead to convince male lead going to different university of dad's choice. It's totally out of character and doesn't make any sense whatsoever.
- The side couple story is not very interesting enough to watch. I can't comment on that one since I skipped almost all of the side couple's scenes, but it isn't convincing enough for me to actually watch the side character's story.
- Would like to see more on how smart the female lead is. Here is my issue, female leads are sometimes or often portrayed as weaker than men, and this is a great example of that. The entirety of this story is supposed to be how female lead is smart and hard-working enough to become a doctor in the future, and yet, all I see is a female who likes to play around and let the emotions come to her.
- I feel like the plot twist is very unrealistic too. What I mean is when the female lead's parents were attacked, which happened to be at the same time when the female lead was about to take national examination. Thus she had no choice but to retreat the test. I know dramas can be unrealistic for entertainment purposes, but it just left a bad taste as a viewer.

Ok Drama
I love the friendships in this drama it feels like a Slice of Life drama. The graduation episode is where I started to feel disconnected from the drama when they finally got together I didn’t feel any chemistry between Lin Xi and Ji Jun Xing.I like Lin Xi a lot but I thought she had more chemistry with Qin Kai than the male lead, I feel the male lead and Lin Xi are better as friends. I think I watched Lin Xi and Ji Jun Xing as friends and while I saw that the ML was in love with Lin Xi but she didn’t seem to show any signs she felt the same way.

Warm, Fluffy, Feel Good Drama
Watched this for the 2nd time. Hands down! One of the best HS drama! I loved the story line and also the ending showing how they progressed 😭 got a little teary. I am sucker for those type of happy endings. It was really good. You will love this is if you like series similar to "when I fly towards you". You get a similar vibe - full of charm, friendship, family, no love triangle, romance, etc...

I got swayed by ML
Hehe... the story is ordinary.. but the cast is good.. specially the ML stole the show. Sweet romance with no drama drama. No villain.. so if you want to watch something light romantic then go for it. There's no adult romance and things in this drama so i am sure even 14+ can watch this... loved watching this.🫶🏻❤️Was this review helpful to you?
Cute, typical coming of age Cdrama
You can never really go wrong with a coming of age cdrama-- they're all so good! This is no exception.I LOVE LOVE the two leads, literally obsessed with Return of the Queen and Love Between Lines so seeing both leads in a drama together was such a surprise.
The high school part had the best plot, and cute moments here and there, but really focused on overall friendship and growing of relationships.
The college part fell on the plot, but the romance was made more solid and thus very very cute.
I'd give this a 8/10, I did hear this was before the leads were big in China and so the drama was low budget, but honestly you couldn't really tell. Very easy watch, though I did skip some filler plot in the last few episodes. Hope we can see them together again!
