Please just recruit doctors!!
I really like season 2 I don’t know but I wanted to wait to watch season 3. Maybe I scared because sometimes seasons can’t work in Korean dramas. I really like Dr. Romantic. It should be good, must be good. Its good but they are always in the fight. They have a lot of patients. Maybe they should hire more doctors to hospital. It’s not realistic. Seo Jin runs everywhere. every episode end we see Seo Jin is in danger. Call more doctor please! we never see their normal days. gunshots, collapse building , fights… just give them normal day I am still watching. So we will see…
Also Cha Eun Jae’s family especially mother get me sick. 🤢 I really hate to watch her. She is a very good actress😂
In the end they still need doctors. They are saying trauma center but just 2 anesthesiologists are there. When one of them go somewhere, they start to think what we do now. Find more doctors. I’m getting angry. I can’t handle this.
And Kang Dong Joo-_- Dude didn’t you cure your trauma in season 1. What happened to you again. You and your ego. OMG

Healing Hands, Wounded Hearts: The Legacy of Doldam Continues
Dr. Romantic Season 3 continues the emotional and heartfelt legacy of the Doldam Hospital universe, bringing back everything fans love intense surgeries, moral dilemmas, and deeply human stories. This season expands its world by introducing a military hospital collaboration, allowing the drama to explore new ethical conflicts and the ever-present question: What does it truly mean to be a doctor?Kim Sabu (Han Suk Kyu) remains the heart of the story wise, stubborn, and endlessly compassionate mentoring a new generation while challenging his old students to rediscover their purpose. Seo Woo Jin (Ahn Hyo Seop) and Cha Eun Jae (Lee Sung Kyung) return stronger than ever, their chemistry more grounded and mature, reflecting how far they’ve come since Season 2.
The new characters add refreshing energy, blending personal growth arcs with powerful emotional beats. The medical scenes are gripping as always perfectly balancing adrenaline-pumping operations with quiet, reflective moments that remind viewers why Doldam isn’t just a hospital; it’s a home for broken souls trying to heal others while healing themselves.
Beautifully shot, tightly written, and emotionally resonant, Dr. Romantic 3 proves that the series still has a strong pulse. It’s not just about saving lives it’s about living with purpose, integrity, and heart.

favorito
Was this review helpful to you?

Became one of my favorite dramas :D
After finishing Dr. Romantic season 3 I can comfortably say it has become one of my favorite K-dramas ever. This drama was something special for me and always put a smile on my face when watching. The medical side of the drama was super interesting and exciting throughout and the different patient cases were perfectly paced and mixed in the drama. I only would have wished for a bit more variety in the medical cases.
The characters are all absolutely amazing and the acting is excellent. I was sceptical at first of the big casting changes in season 2 but I ended up loving all of the new characters too. Yun Seojeong from season 1 probably still remains my favorite character (and I was super excited to see her at the end of season 3 :D)
The actual story is also great. There was just a perfect mix of medical cases, relationships, and events outside of the hospital. I really appreciated how the drama focused on the medical part and the relationship parts were a nice bonus, sprinkled in here and there. The hospital politics I could have done without but in seasons 1 and 3 there wasn't too much of it at all.
The heart of the drama, Kim Sabu, was also prominent in all seasons and I was left impressed in almost every episode by his profound and wise teachings and dialogue. A consistent theme throughout all seasons is Kim Sabu teaching younger doctors what it means to be a good doctor with good values and a positive outlook on life.
Everything in Dr. Romantic put a big smile on my face. I will be remembering fondly the staff of Doldam that felt like a big family, the profound and memorable dialogue, the heartwarming and heartbreaking medical cases, the cozy and comforting feeling/atmosphere of the drama, and of course Jang Gitae's ridiculous laugh :DDDDDDDD
Dr. Romantic is a must-watch for everyone!

Once again, an astonishing story from Dr. Romantic. This show has successfully hooked me for 3 SEASONS. They are really good on creating such malicious plot. But everytime you think something evil going to happen at "this" point they always able to twist it, because it's all about humans and saving their lifes after all! The storyline this season is more instense than the previous one. But we still can see the thrilling stories from all doctors and nurses in the team. They all have overcomed their hardships once, now they're free to chase their dream. Massive shout out to doctor Jung In Su, he was once "accidentally" dragged to Doldam. But with his hardwork and commitment, he's now the Head of Trauma Center EM. I like this season more because it has less political issue and focus more on the patients and treatments. Dr. Jang Dong Hwa is a good representation of us, how we are shocked, thrilled, impressed and hooked by all of the stories around Doldam Hospital. They should give second title to this show: The Downfall of Yang Ho Jun. Man has gone from the second-hand of director to being left behind during evacuation.
I don't need to mention, this is the peak performance of the casts across all seasons. Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung performance improve a lot here, to the point of outstanding.
Still there's a flaw in this story. Across the other season in this franchise, this show has the less showcase of the Master Kim's skill. During the shooting incident, it is unknown what is the cause of the shooter to shot the thugs and kidnap doctor Seo U Jin. It is also unknown how he manages to survive the bullet and walk away from the incident. On the day the Trauma Center lost their first patient, there is a shortage of doctors due to Cha Eun Jae being on another operation, making Kang Dong Ju has to deal with three patients all by himself. However actually there is another available doctor: Yang Ho Jun, but somehow they don't page him. Dr. Bae Mun Jung is also originally belongs to Cha Jin Man's trauma team (he joins the preparation briefing), but somehow he's removed and returned to Doldam. The final episode is somewhat makjang and I personally think it's lower on quality compared to the other episodes. The fate of Cha Jin Man is also unknown. I mean he's Eun Jae's father after all and we want to see whether he finally regrets everything, but maybe they're saving it for another season?
Such and intense yet heartwarming story. Even there aren't many more to explore, I think it's good to see another season!
"Don't give up asking questions about why we live and what we live for. The moment you give up on that, the romantic life ends."

A precious gem, each part of it beautiful.
Dr. Romantic Season 3 is hands-down one of the best K-dramas ever made, and honestly, the strongest season of this absolute gem. It’s not just about doctors saving lives—it’s a deeply inspiring, motivational love letter to living.Master Kim hits you with a line that’s pure poetry: “Never stop asking yourself why you live and what do you live for, otherwise your romance is dead.” Life’s truest romance isn’t just love for another person—it’s the spark of purpose that keeps your heart beating. It’s the courage to question, every day, what drives you, what makes the dawn worth greeting. Without that curiosity, that inner fire, life risks becoming a hollow echo, a motion without meaning. This quote is a reminder to cradle your dreams, no matter how fragile, and to let them guide you like stars through the dark. It’s about living with intention, where every breath is a verse in your own unfinished poem.
The drama captures the preciousness of life itself—chasing even the tiniest dreams, pushing through ambitions, or just fighting to make it through another day at your fullest. It’s raw, emotional, and makes you reflect on what keeps you going. I’m so grateful for how this drama made me feel and see life differently.
If you want a show that’s equal parts heart-pounding and soul-stirring, this is it.

Beautifully showcases the enduring charm and emotional depth of all the seasons
I came into Dr. Romantic initially to watch Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Sung Kyung, but I stayed for the riveting story and the poignant charm that exudes from the franchise. While I might be a bit biased since I haven't finished the first season and instead dove headfirst into the second and third, I can confidently say that the third season is my favorite so far.I loved seeing new faces interact with the franchise's veteran characters and the return of some familiar faces from season two. Every episode delivered meaningful life lessons—whether it was about overcoming anxiety, guilt, insecurities, or addressing important issues like understanding one's physical health.
While at its core the show is a medical drama, it does an excellent job of leaving viewers with something to take away beyond the medical cases. The third season, in particular, captured the sense of family within the hospital, bringing the series full circle. Each challenge faced by the staff kept me on the edge of my seat and eagerly awaiting more.
I definitely plan to watch the first season to experience everything in action from the start. The ending of season three was slightly open-ended, and while I’d love to see a fourth season, I’d also be content if this is where the series ends. Dr. Romantic is hands down the best medical K-drama I’ve seen!

Season 3 was better than ever
Season 3 characters, especially the new characters, was not disappointing. I am more disappointed that I’ve watched all the episodes already.I just love how Master Kim can turn a difficult moment into a teachable and encouraging moment; and that his most loyal students had also in turn done the same thing with their juniors even when the seniors were still learning. They even gave Dr. Kang something to think about.
I hope there’s a season 4 because I would love to see Drs. Kang and Seo work together.

A masterpiece series
A masterpiece seriesSo for those who love series related to medicine, this is the series, for those who love to see vision, hope, dedication, perseverance, healing and recovery (of both doctors and patients) and that everything is combined in a love story (and not just for the medical profession) this is the series. Perfect casting for the three seasons, perfect script, perfect acting, perfect soundtrack that is already on my playlist, I saw the three seasons in less than a week, I was captivated, not a single episode was unnecessary, simply a wonderful and recommended series, and for those who ask whether to watch all the seasons, then unequivocally yes, do not give up, no season. If it were possible to rate more than 10, I would do so with love.

Legacy in Every Stitch: Doldam’s Heart Beats On
Some sequels feel like reunions. Dr. Romantic 3 felt like a homecoming — not just back to Doldam Hospital, but to a way of storytelling that never forgets where it started, even as it pushes forward. It’s rare to watch a three-season drama that evolves this organically. No whiplash. No gimmicks. Just deepening bonds, widening circles, and the kind of emotional consistency that speaks to the integrity behind the camera as much as on-screen.Teacher Kim, still magnetic, still maddeningly brilliant, remains the compass. Han Suk-kyu continues to play him with that now-signature mix of intensity and quiet grace. He’s older, maybe a touch wearier, but he hasn’t dulled. If anything, his fire burns brighter — not louder, just deeper. He teaches through challenge, through confrontation, through care disguised as frustration. He’s still the moral spine of the show, and watching him hold the line in a world that keeps moving the goalposts? It’s strangely comforting.
Seo Woo-jin and Cha Eun-jae return not as students this time, but as surgeons anchored in their roles. They’ve grown into themselves — Woo-jin no longer running from his ghosts, Eun-jae standing taller in her own name — and it shows. Their relationship feels lived-in now, all rough edges worn down by trust. No need for fireworks; this is the quiet loyalty of people who have been through hell together and decided to stay. Their journey isn’t about whether they can do it. It’s about how they choose to.
And the Doldam team? Now more ensemble than ever. What was once Teacher Kim’s world has expanded into a genuine ecosystem — nurses, administrators, residents, even the returning faces that pop in like old friends dropping by. The show doesn’t just give them names. It gives them purpose. Everyone’s part of the rhythm now, and that sense of camaraderie makes every crisis hit harder, because you care — not just about the patients, but about the people holding the scalpel.
What hit me hardest this season was how earned everything felt. The risks weren’t just medical. They were personal. Ethical. Institutional. And when they paid off — and they often did — it wasn’t because someone gave a dramatic speech. It was because we’ve watched these characters become the kind of people who choose to do the right thing, even when no one’s watching. That kind of payoff is rare, and god, it feels good.
But let’s talk about what you said — because yes, I feel it too: that deep, unshakable craving for one more chapter. A reunion. A collision of eras. Teacher Kim, Dong-joo, Seo-jung, Woo-jin, Eun-jae, In-beom, all in the same OR, clashing, learning, saving lives, driving each other up the wall. It’s the kind of dream that lingers after the final scene — not because the story was incomplete, but because it was so complete, so loved, that we’re not ready to let go.
If this really is the final season, it bowed out with elegance and fire. But something in me still hopes. Not for fanservice, not for nostalgia’s sake — but because Dr. Romantic has never been about just one doctor. It’s about legacy. About handing off the scalpel. And there’s one last handoff I’m still dying to see.
