Don't waste your time with this drama. Awful script and onscreen chemistry between YY and WCR,

YY has better onscreen chemistry with ZLS in WRTW and acted better in that drama. I rewatched that drama so many times I lost count. Whereas, his onscreen chemistry with Wang Churan sucks. I would not recommend you watch FWOMH with Yang Yang and Wang Churan. I was frustrated watching this drama because of his awful onscreen chemistry with WCR. I have already watched 20 episodes of this drama, and the pace is so slow, and the script is stupid. I don't like WCR's character in this drama, and YY isn't convincing as a fireman. I think William Chan is a better fireman in ADWTF.

Twenty episodes in, they are still not together and bickering, and her overbearing adoptive mother is a hateful woman and a bitch.
WCR's character is weak and annoying to me. She is a strong ER doctor who speaks up about her viewpoints with her superiors but is annoyed and timid when standing up for her relationship with YY's character.

Who at this stage still interferes with their children's love lives. It is unrealistic to have doctors co-exist and perform medical services with firemen. The drama forced their unions to the point that it was ridiculous and unrealistic in real life.

I am dropping this drama. I like YY, but he needs to pair up with a better actress to make him a better actor where he can stretch and grow. I think WCR had better onscreen chemistry with Peng Guan Ying in "Have a Crush on You." Her character in that drama is better; she acted better in that one than in FWOMH.

Let's hope that they will not be paired again in the future. I give it a 4.0 rating, so Don't waste your time with FWOMH.

Romeo and Juliet lost in thinking, plus lots of cliches

The story has some interesting starting points (adopted children, disfunctional families and upbringing, social classes, nepotism, fear of incest between adopted siblings, etc.), however it all loses meaning due to main characters' back-and-forth bickering that is, besides leading nowhere, difficult to understand or follow.
FL clearly does not know what does she want, but she wants it.
ML is, basicaly, barking his way through it all.
On the top of it, lots of 'correct' cliches: brave, honest firefighters, blood-thirsty media, strict father-like doctor mentor, crying and/or screaming girls, ect.
It seems all involved in production tried their best, but were losing the battle with a confusing script.
Finally, the poor dog should not be kept on chain!!! Don't encourage unscrupulous dog owners.

I think this drama is truly wonderful. Whenever I started one episode, I couldn’t stop watching the next ones for hours. Everything related to the work of firefighters was presented in great detail — living far from family, the immense pressure, constantly risking their lives, and the possible physical and psychological consequences of every mission. At the same time, the work of doctors was portrayed in a very similar way. Not every case ends happily for the victims, and that was shown as well. The acting also deserves special praise — it was excellent. Both the main characters and the supporting actors did a fantastic job in their roles. You could truly feel the emotions they were portraying.

The entire series was carried out very smoothly and realistically. This also applies to the relationship between the main couple — Xu Meng Qin and Song Yan. From almost the very beginning, we can see that both of them still have feelings for each other, which show through their smaller and bigger actions. Despite that, their relationship develops gradually, and personally, I didn’t mind it at all. Considering their past — especially on his side — being cautious made sense. Over time, we increasingly saw the depth of their love for each other. Around one another, they radiated happiness and became the best versions of themselves. Another big plus for me is that once they entered a relationship, they faced problems together. There were no forced dramas meant to separate them or unnecessary arguments, and yet they were together for a long time throughout the series. Overall, Song Yan is a wonderful man. His family was also wonderful, and I watched most of their scenes with a smile on my face.

I was also incredibly happy when Qin finally started setting boundaries with her “parents” and eventually cut off contact with them. However, I was slightly disappointed when her “mother” suddenly changed her attitude and they reconciled, because I was hoping Qin would cut ties with them — especially with her — forever. In my opinion, she caused far too much harm and pain to everyone around her to suddenly sit at the table smiling together. It really irritates me that she faced no consequences for her actions after everything, but maybe I just have a different mindset.

Staying on the topic of family, I personally found the storyline of Meng Yan Chen disturbing. He was in love with her and tried to drive a wedge between her and Yan. After all, he was her brother (adoptive, but still). They were raised together as siblings from childhood into adulthood. She always treated him like a brother, yet he still wouldn’t let it go. His storyline with Ye Zi is also quite strange — starting from the fact that she looks like his sister, the one he had feelings for, and ending with the fact that toward the end it is hinted that they might have a future story together — after she falsely accused him of attempting sexual assault.

Aside from that, there are also a few points that I think could have been interesting but were only briefly introduced and never developed:
→ The military character (Lu Jie). I expected them to meet again since they talked about it, but it never happened, so I’m not entirely sure why he appeared in the first place. Though I did laugh at the scene where he thought Xu was his wife and called her that.
→ The storyline of Song’s mother. Honestly, I thought that as an adult he would try to find her and we would see some kind of confrontation — especially after the scene where, as a teenager, he went to her house with Xu and she looked at him.

A more personal complaint — or rather sadness. I loved the duo of Song Yan and Suo Jun, and Suo Jun’s departure really hit me. I was hoping that despite the distance they would keep in regular contact and that we would get many phone calls between them. It’s a pity that didn’t happen, although I’m glad we at least got one call that softened my heart.

And one funny little detail that I noticed. When Song Yan’s cousin ended up at the police station, Qin drove him there by car. Later, her “brothers” arrived and she went back with them in their car. To this day I’m still wondering what happened to her car that she left at that police station XD.

Lastly, I’ll mention Da Peng’s fate. I won’t go into too much detail here, but I’ll just say that I loved him from the very beginning. Together with Doctor Nan, they were my second favorite ship in the drama, so my heart broke into a million pieces and it took me quite a while to recover.

My Favorite Of All Time

I recently bought about 200 Chinese dramas on eBay over the past 3 months, and I had a very hard time deciding which ones to watch first. I’m happy I chose Fireworks of My Heart. This drama checked every single box for me: romance, bromance, action, drama, heroism, etc. Wang Churan is tall, light-skinned and beautiful, and that matches well with Yang Yang’s great looks. Both of them acted very well. I liked the supporting casts as well. This drama had a lot of touching and moving scenes. The storyline had me engrossed from the beginning to the end. I love this drama more than I can say.

Firefighting is a thankless job. I admire firefighters' courage to do what they do.

Many have negatively criticized this film, but how do they know what the actors were asked to do? I think the main leads did a pretty good job of portraying their character. I thought the story moved along at a nice pace with enough action to keep one entertained. I enjoyed the film and thought the fire scenes were realistic. This is Wang Chu Ran's second film as a doctor and she is really stiff and unapproachable, but again who knows what the script calls for. If you want to see actors and actresses in their natural personalities and out of script watch them on variety shows. Most of them appear very different from the films. Overall, I enjoyed the film and that's entertainment!

A second chance at forbidden love : hihh - stakes duty meets unwavering patriotism

#fireworksofmyheart #yangyang #whangchuran
I recently saw this series, and for me it's a must-watch! A bridge between Asia and the West. #yanyang#'s acting transcends the screen. it tells the powerful story of reconciliation between fire chief Song Yan and Doctor Xu Qin, separated ten years earlier by family opposition. Couple Dynamics and Healing: Healing occurs through overcoming past traumas: Xu Qin, raised in an oppressive adoptive family, finds in Song Yan the strength to rebel against an upbringing that had made her insecure and dependent. Their love is not merely romantic, but a journey of realistic maturation that leads them to choose each other again as conscious adults. The drama addresses critical issues such as: Family Psychological The suffocating influence of Xu Qin's adoptive mother, who used guilt and economic control. The social barriers that saw Song Yan (from a humble background) as an unsuitable suitor for Xu Qin's prestigious family. The direction excels at balancing personal drama with high-tension sequences: Realistic Rescue: The firefighter rescue scenes and medical emergencies are described as very well-executed, adding a sense of urgency and "grit" to the narrative. The production is of high quality, with particular attention to technical detail (they enlisted the help of real professionals) and the ability to integrate action scenes with the emotional development of the characters, avoiding the classic clichés of the genre. A product, despite its Chinese cultural underpinnings, that has a production, direction, and acting style that is understandable worldwide. Congratulations

Mixed Feelings watching

Not realistic. Qin Qin is a surgeon. Real life won't marry a fireman.. Sex crazy over the man. Even though her adopted mother is authoritative, she has her happiness at heart. Bring her up when she was an orphan. Should be grateful for this situation. Can see the heartbreak of her parents. I gave 3 stars because I am happy that Master Meng the brother was focused and realistic. Telling the waitress girl there's difference between moth and butterfly. He didn't fall into her trap. Good thing didn't fall for her and this saved the drama. I was hoping Qin Qin marry his adopted brother instead. If only his mother didn't forced Qin Qin to change surname.

If you're debating whether or not to watch this drama - YOU 100% SHOULD!

I loved this show so much that I binged it in 3 days!! Came here for yang yang but stayed for WCR's AMAZING acting. Her skills were REALLY showing in episode 23 - so much so that I wanted to cry when she said the iconic like "he is my life". And, of course, Yang Yang was perfect as always - his acting always has me amazed because of how good he is at expressing emotions with his eyes!!

Another thing is that I loved every single one of the kisses and romantic interactions between the main couple. They didn't have that many kisses (there were a lot of small pecks, but I mean longer ones), but there was so much chemistry that they didn't need to kiss to keep the viewers engaged.

As for the story, I loved that it doesn't revolve around just the MMC or FMC but shows us both perspectives. I was on the edge of my seat every time the firefighters had to solve a tough problem and kicking my feet while giggling when the leads were being all cute and romantic. I would say that the show's main themes revolve around romance, family, and also thriller (for the firefighting and medical scenes). The creators of the show totally knew what they were doing when making this, as there's a good balance, and viewers can get the best of all three worlds.

Like I already said in the first statement, the acting in this show is amazing. Not just from the leads, but also from all of the supporting characters. If a show has good leads but the rest of the cast is bad, it ruins the show and makes it insufferable to watch. Thankfully, FOMH wasn't one of these cases. I started liking the characters of the firefighters and they brother-like bond from the first episode as well as seeing the tension between Xu Qin and Song Yan. Also fun fact is that Yang Yang and Zhang Bin Bin were reunited in this show, and as someone who first discovered Yang Yang in Love 020, this was a more than pleasant surprise.

This show has also genuinely changed the way I think because it's shown me how hard it is to be a firefighter and has given me so much respect for professions like that. And this is just my opinion, but I love it when I can also gain knowledge and learn facts about certain professions or lifestyles that I didn't know before, on top of just watching for fun.

I hope this helps you if you're trying to decide to watch it or not!

Unfaithful To The Novel Details

First of all, to be fair, I'm writing this review and giving rate to this drama as a reader of the novel and Yang Yang's fan. So, this review and rating might be biased.

As the novel's reader, I'm a bit disappoited with the plot because they added too much scenes that unrelated to the main plot. If they did the drama according to the novel faithfully, I don't think it would be 40 episodes. I don't mind some additional plot like Suo Jun or little bit of JiangYu/LiMeng, but honestly the most annoying thing to me is MengYanChen/YeZhi's scenes.

As a shipper of ML/FL couple, naturally I don't like SML. There are too much scenes for MYC, that even though you counted him as the SML, they told stories that don't have anything to do with the main couple. In the novel MYC only like ten scenes with the FL, and here in the drama they give him like a half of the drama. In the novel, YZ was supposed to be a character that appeared like twice, but she appeared in most of MYC's scenes. And that annoyed me. Another thing that annoyed me the most was the scenes when Song Yan's cousin, Zhai Miao, got arrested. In the novel, SY could pay the fine himself and it let him keep his dignity. In the drama, because of MYC's help, it made as if SY owed him something. In the novel, SY was supposed to have the upper hand from the beginning till the end since the Mengs owed him his military career because of their past schemes.

The only good thing that was included in the drama but not in the novel is the scene when SY rescued XQ's mother and the implication after that. Though I wished the mother got more of the "just dessert", but at least she was humbled by the rescue plot.

Plot wise, I don't mind they added some medical or rescue scenes to show off the action scenes. I can't comment much about the firefighters scenes since I don't know how they're supposed to be like. But I think they looked cool and accurate enough. I don't have medical knowledge in real life, but I did watch some medical korean dramas, and I gotta say that this drama is not on par with them. I know that Xu Qin is a surgeon but I don't know what kind of surgeon she is. It seemed she did all kind of surgeries. I know that she worked in emergency department, but I think even other surgeons did all kind of surgeries too. Either they don't differentiate between general surgeries with others or I just don't understand much. I just think that on the medical side, there's plot hole.

Acting wise, I can't say much. For me, Yang Yang did well in portraying Song Yan. And if people said that Xu Qin looked awkward, I think her character was supposed to be awkward, at least in the beginning. She looked okay when acting cute in the later part of the drama.

Soundtrack wise. I like it well enough in the drama. But, it's not memorable to me. Not that easy listening to my ears.

Overall, this is a good drama. Not exactly entertaining, since it's more like the serious type of drama. I like it, but I think it would've been better if it was faithful to the novel plot.

Too lengthy

Decided to watch this drama because of Yang Yang. The storyline was interesting and thanks to this show, I have a better insight of what a firefighter does besides saving the fire.

There were too many filler episodes in the middle around eps 15 - 22 with literally no progress at around. But nevertheless, the chemistry between both leads, the OST was what really capture my attention. The heartwrenching love story between both and how they fought hard just to be with each other is definitely a fantasy I can only dream about.

This show has taught me to cherish the people around me as you won't know if every meetup is going to be the last.
It has also taught me to enjoy the present and let go of the past for it is gone and will never be back.

If you are into evil mother who tries to break the couple up, give it a try at 2x speed.

A Casual Flicker in the Drama Galaxy! ??

Alright, fellow drama enthusiasts, let's talk about "Fireworks of My Heart" – a show that's cruising along with a storyline that's just okay, neither setting the skies ablaze nor fizzling out. 🎆📅

Our protagonist, Li Wei, takes us through her journey of dreams and ambitions, but it's like watching a firework that's missing a little sparkle. Her trials and tribulations don't exactly launch us into an emotional rollercoaster, but rather provide a leisurely stroll through her life's landscape.

When it comes to romance, Zhang Hao, the charming love interest, is more like a gentle glow than an explosive burst. Their interactions are cozy, like watching a campfire on a calm evening. It's not exactly a love story that sets the heart racing, but it emits a warm and steady glow.

The supporting characters, including Li Wei's spirited best friend Chen Jia and Zhang Hao's wise mentor Zhou Yi, add a touch of color to the drama canvas. Chen Jia's comedic interjections are like little sparks of humor, while Zhou Yi's advice is like a compass guiding us through familiar terrain.

Plot-wise, "Fireworks of My Heart" doesn't stray too far from the well-trodden path of drama storytelling. It's like watching a classic firework routine – you can anticipate the bursts, but they don't catch you off guard. The twists might not be hairpin turns, but they do manage to keep the narrative chugging along.

Production quality is a bit like watching a firework show on a comfortable summer night – you're not awestruck, but you're content with the view. The scenic backgrounds and costume designs don't steal the show, but they play their part in creating a pleasant visual experience.

Emotionally, the drama doesn't soar to great heights, but there are sporadic sparks of sentiment. Li Wei's moments of self-discovery might not elicit tears, but they do leave a pleasant impression. It's not the kind of drama that leaves your heart pounding, but it does offer a gentle tap now and then.

In the grand scheme of things, "Fireworks of My Heart" might not be the dazzling explosion we hoped for, but it's also not a damp squib. It's a drama that fits snugly in the category of "good" So, if you're in the mood for a casual watch that won't overwhelm your senses, give it a shot. It might not light up the entire night sky, but it's a comfortable twinkle in the drama galaxy. 🎬🌠👍

Shows Respect to all Rescue Workers with Romance as Sub-plot.

The thing I loved the most about this drama is that it shows hardwork of the Rescue Workers. Many people in society don't have any respect for the rescue workers, army, doctors and more, they think that this is just their job to protect people in the emergency. The actual thing they don't know is that it takes dedication, sense of responsibility, willingness to take risks of their own life and bravery to protect people when they also have their own families waiting for them at home. This drama shows it all in a very beautiful way.

🍁CHARACTERS:

🌿Song Yan : Yang Yang played his part very well when it comes to as a rescue officer, as a friend, as a leader and as a lover. He knows how to train and motivate his team and keep their moral up. He was obsessed to become number one but never forget to take care of his team members. He is not an unreasonable person and have valid and solid reasons for his actions and decisions. He was badly hurt in his first relationship and showed that dissatisfaction and disappointed to his lover when she wants to come back in his life, also give her chance to be brave and decide and respects her decision whether she wanted to be with him or not.

🌿Xu Qin : Xu Qin was an orphan and adopted by a rich family who loves her very much but wants to have a full control over her decisions whether it's her career choice, studies, behaviour and even her love life. She have gratitude and love towards her family to brought her up and give her love but also feels dissatisfaction with their control over her. Her mother forced her to break up with her love and threatened her with destroying her and Song Yan's career. She broke up with Song Yan but never forgotten about him. She became a very professional doctor to become independent and live her life with Song Yan despite her mother's objection. When Song Yan gave her chance to be in his life again, at first she couldn't decide 'cause she neither wants to hurt her family and nor Song Yan but finally she choose to pursue her love after so many interaction and incidents happen and they both go through life and death situation together. Loved her character 'cause it's not easy for a girl to decide what to choose between her family and love. Totally understandable. Wang Chu Ran totally nailed her character.

🍁ACTING:

Acting by whole cast was pretty good and I hate her mother literally, for destroying Song Yan's career. Her mother was very cruel to Song Yan but when it comes to her own son she was even ready to kneel before Song Yan and wanted him to forgive her. Xu Qin's brother was a good person although he also didn't like Song Yan but he always wants his sister to be happy and be free from the cage of their family. I loved many characters in this drama.

Finally I wanna say that it's a good mix friendship and romance. Worth to watch.
