Vampire premise seems to be a hard one for GMMTV.
The writers seem to struggle a lot with the concept of Vampires. My Golden Blood was NOT good and I feel like it struggled from episode-to-episode esp with how the characterization of the main leads went. Anyway, that's a tale for another review which I have already written. While I liked ReVamp way more and thought it handled the premise of vampires and hunters' way better. I still feel like ReVamp struggled past ep 8., Once we got closer to the climax it felt like the series was struggling to what the writers wanted to do. The characters became emptier as we hit ep 8 and beyond. The pacing was rushed, and the show lost the darkness of the first episodes that I enjoyed. Once Pong found out the truth everything lost meaning character's ractions to what was going on felt empty. Even the scenes that were meant to be emotional I felt nothing. I don't know if that was the purpose or the writers just didn't know how to connect the right emotions to the characters. That damaged the series for me. I wanted to see how it ended but me feeling about less than 50% in the final episode was not good. I did love the first 7/8 episodes though. I felt like they had the right sense of emotion and darkness that the writers wanted to achieve. Had it kept going that way I think I would have given it a better rating.BounPrem, Mark, Barcode etc did a good job with the material that they were given but even them couldn't save the last two episodes sadly. As for entertainment value, ReVamp was a good popcorn series. Which is why I gave it the rating I did. It kept me entertained for the most part, but it wasn't something that made me think or made me emotional like some other GMMTV series did. Overall, I give it a 7.5. It won't be on my rewatch list that much. Looking forward to what's next for BounPrem as I did like their chemistry and them as a cp.

Revamp, most anticipated bl we waited for
Spoilers of course if you haven't watched it yet 👀Revamp - the much awaited bl series that had us waiting for years.. Was somewhat of a let down. Well for me at least.
The ending... So they gonna live forever in a fantasy world inside a painting??
Why? Why didn't Ramlil just turn Punn into a vampire?
So they could share their lives with their loved ones.
I found that a bit selfish. Leaving everyone behind. Him his brother and Ramlil his vampire bro's.
Sad not to see the development between Punn's brother and the doctor vamp.
The crow vamp, did he have feelings for Ramlil. Kinda got that impression. 🤔
Again, in a painting? And if there's a fire and the painting burns down. 😏
And forever is a long time to stay with just one person... Imagine not having anyone else to speak to but just the same person... Forever.
And when they fight? 😁
I'm really hoping we get a season 2. From watching the ending with the credits, it sounds like it. Also the dude with the blue eyes, apparently a wolf?
Please don't make us wait another 2 or 3 years 😭

Not what i expected but still very good.
I liked this drama, though it was not what i expected from the trailer. Even though i am a fan of BounPrem, i am going to be real honest about their performances. The story was not a typical vampire story, but had a bit of a comedy twist to it. There were a bit too many sound effects to enhance funny moments in the beginning. At moments it was a bit silly, but i wasn't mad at it. Boun did a good job in portraying the silly vampire, he is the cutest vampire ever! But i didn't think he was very convincing as the vampire leader.
The story was really good. I loved the intro, it is really stunning! I love how they get to be together forever without Punn becoming a vampire.
I am sad that we didn't see more about Mekhin and Pokpong, they hinted about something going on between them throughout the whole drama, but in the end nothing happened.
The acting was overall very good. For me, Mark really stood out with his acting as Methas, he is becoming one of my favorite Thai actors. He and Barcode gave me the most real vampire vibes.
Boun and Prem have amazing chemistry, but their kisses weren't very good. Prem is the best actor of the 2 and Boun gives the best chemistry.
The visuals were stunning and the special effects amazing! It was also very well thought through that the vampires didn't show in mirrors and photo's. Also great special effects when a vampire dies and with Ciar transforming. And the way Dracul looked when he was old and almost dead was very well done.
I really loved the music, it was so beautiful.
The most fighting scene's were good, ecspecially the fighting scene with Methas in Ep. 6 was very good.
But some fighting scene's looked a bit too much choreographed. And the fighting scene with the 2 women was really bad.
Overall i liked it and i recommend watching it.

BOUNPREM
BounPrem's acting in Revamp is really good and has improved significantly. After 3 years, I finally got to see them in a more mature and new version. They completely immersed themselves in their characters, I was impressed by the emotional scenes when both of them cried, even the scenes talking to each other were so sweet. Revamp's wonderful colors, sounds, and scenery are undeniable. I wish the show could be shown for more, for me 10 episodes is not enough. I will always support BounPrem and look forward to their future development ❤️💙Was this review helpful to you?
One of the main problems with Revamp is that it never quite settled into a singular genre and stuck with it. In the first couple of episodes I thought this show was going to be a romcom, it was very cute and funny and I was very much looking forward to cute vampire fluff, but then the genre shifted. Out of nowhere it changed into an action show and it was very intense and exciting, really had me on the edge of my seat. I happen to love fighting choreography so I wasn't mad about the change, just a bit confused... and then it changed to a family drama. No more fighting, romance on the back burner, Ramil cleaning the antique shop.... This change was definitely a choice that the script writers made.
With that being said though, the show still succeeded quite well in every genre it took up. The fluff was fluffy, the romance was steamy, the action was exciting, the drama was dramatic. It never flopped in whatever it was trying to be and I think that was wholly due to the great casting. GMMTV really brought in the best and every member did their best. I think the only actor that really got the short end of the stick was Prem/Punn. Everybody else was given one narrative, one genre for them to act in, but with Punn being the main character he unfortunately had to bounce around into different roles. One minute he's an antique's dealer, the next he's fighting vampire hunters, and then he's playing older brother, etc etc. Prem had a lot on his plate for this role and unfortunately this hampered his abilities. There were a few moments where he shined through--the intimate scenes with Boun were lovely, the five seconds we got to see him use a sword lol, and the cottage scenes were all done very well.
As for the ending, I really don't understand why everybody was hating on it. It made perfect sense to me. Ramil hated being a vampire--he never drank blood, kept shirking on his duties as the leader, not to mention with Mekhin's awful backstory I thought it made perfect sense that Ramil didn't want to turn Punn into a vampire, especially when there was a perfectly decent second option for them to take.
Also if there does happen to be a MarkJunior spinoff (which there likely won't be, but who knows), I would gladly pay to see Junior playing a more serious, bad boy type of character. l think he would be fantastic in that type of role and it would play off of Mark's prince character so well.
Overall, I gave the show a 7/10. I liked it, I think it could have been better if someone had bothered to trim down the script and make the story more cohesive, but it's still a watchable and enjoyable show.

tonal switches
Overall: the comedy and darker vibes did not mesh well for me. 10 episodes about 45 minutes each. Aired on iQIYI and GMMTV's YouTube channel.Content Warnings: murders, blood, fight, held against will, manipulation, past: murders, violence, blood
What I Liked
- seeing Boun and Prem again
- mystery elements
- the broccoli reference was fun as was My Golden Blood on the TV
- caring moments
Room For Improvement
- jarring tonal switches between attempted humor and mass murder
- several nonsense character actions/reactions and convenient world building, for example characters blaming something that happened 10 years ago on a character who was imprisoned during that time
- comedy sound effects didn't make things funny
- styling: the black robes and black outfits were corny

Does not deserve the time of day
I just want it to STOP!I always hope for a good series with Boun, but THIS wasn’t it! I wanted to give up on it, but instead I let each episode play, while I’m playing games on my phone. It doesn’t deserve being paid attention to.
The story’s a hot mess. I don’t know what else to say, because even writing a real review is giving it too much attention, and effort, that I refuse to expend.

?♂️ Series Review: [GMMTV Vampire BL Series]
wish the action scenes felt more realistic or that they had been excluded altogether if they couldn’t be executed well. A supernatural theme doesn’t excuse unrealistic physical fights; it should enhance them. When it doesn’t, it just becomes laughable.Acting & Characters
It was fascinating to observe how each actor handled their role.
I once thought Boun was the stronger actor and Prem kept a wall between himself and his character, but now I feel the opposite—Prem seems to have improved and connects more deeply with his role, while Boun feels slightly detached. This makes me think it’s all about how well a character’s traits fit the actor.
Some of the supporting cast felt wooden, but Barcode has shown noticeable growth—both physically and as an actor. And I must praise Mark (Methas) for his portrayal; I truly enjoyed both the character and his performance.
Story & Structure
There were some inconsistencies between the trailer and the actual series, but after finishing all ten episodes, I was pleasantly surprised. It turned out better than I expected.
The story flows nicely, even though, like many Thai dramas, the final episode feels padded with filler. The last episode could easily be shorter. Still, I appreciate that the show didn’t drag out unnecessary melodrama—it kept things relatively focused.
One big issue I have with many GMMTV series (including this one) is emotional detachment in the final episode. The supposed “big fight” between good and evil lacks emotional impact because the villains are never fully integrated into the story. If the evil side isn’t active in the main characters’ lives throughout the series, viewers can’t care about the final conflict. It ends up feeling like an afterthought rather than a climax.
Romance & Chemistry
The relationship between the main leads was interesting but could have used more emotional exploration. The romantic storyline feels solid though.
Still, I appreciate that the show avoided unnecessary comic relief—a refreshing change from the usual GMMTV formula. The overall atmosphere stayed consistent, and I was never pulled out of the story by misplaced jokes.
Themes & Execution
This series feels a bit different from the usual GMMTV lineup—it’s slightly darker, more mature, and not reliant on cliché humor. That’s probably why I ended up liking it more than expected.
It’s not fiery or groundbreaking, but it’s stable, safe, and competently done. The main weakness lies in the lack of real tension or danger—vampire stories should make you feel unsettled, but this one mostly made me feel relaxed. The danger between the lovers was stronger than the danger between good and evil, which unbalances the tone.
Dialogues
Dialogue remains one of GMMTV’s persistent problems. Too many lines feel staged, as if the actors are simply delivering words without real emotional connection. Crying scenes alone don’t equal good acting; what’s missing are authentic emotional shifts—anger, excitement, vulnerability—that make characters feel alive.
Final Thoughts
This isn’t a masterpiece, but it’s definitely one of the better vampire-themed BLs from Thailand. It’s well-structured, atmospheric, and emotionally consistent, even if it never reaches the intensity or innovation of other top-tier BL series.
If we rate it out of five, I’d say 3+—good, enjoyable, and relaxing to watch. It may not excite seasoned viewers or win new audiences outside the BL community, but it’s still a solid entry that proves GMMTV can handle something a little different when it wants to.

I Live For Ramil & Punn's Sweet Moments
I honestly thought from the trailer that this would be a pure dark vampire drama like My Golden Blood, but when I started watching it, I was immediately drawn to Ramil’s sweet and funny personality. Punn, on the other hand, almost broke my heart at first! Good thing the story changed direction later on—well, of course, since they’re the main characters. Anyway, I actually liked that it had a mix of comedy besides the romance and the whole vampire-human conflict. It’s just a bit unrealistic that Ramil fell for Punn so quickly despite the curse. I feel like it would’ve been better if there was a bit of a boundary between them at first and their relationship developed more naturally. I’m not sure if Ramil’s sudden attraction was because of the curse or if they were really meant to be soulmates. But I’ll admit—I’m biased because I love BounPrem, and I’m sure many would agree that they have amazing chemistry. There are lots of cute and lovey-dovey moments in this series; they kiss in almost every episode! The side characters did a great job too. The storyline isn’t too complicated, and it’s easy to follow even with the twists and side stories.
For me, I enjoyed the series overall—it’s okay, but not exactly impressive or masterpiece level. The conflict between Feratu/Father Dracul felt a bit shallow and underexplored. Like, how did Feratu end up in the human world and that orphanage? Why did he attack the people there that one fateful night? We later see him as an old man in a hospital bed, but what happened after that? So many unanswered questions.
The pacing also felt a bit rushed, and I wasn’t completely satisfied with the ending—I wanted Ramil and Punn to live in the human world. But I have to say, the visuals were captivating from start to finish. The dark, moody tones really fit the vampire theme, and I appreciated that they didn’t overuse effects. I think they learned their lesson from My Golden Blood, where the CGI looked kind of limited due to the budget.
Honestly, if it weren’t for Ramil and Punn’s constant sweet moments, I would’ve been disappointed because my expectations were high after watching the trailer. For me, Revamp: The Undead Story isn’t bad at all—just don’t expect too much.

Would totally recommend this, especially for the pilot (the actors)??
Okay, first of all, I absolutely loved P’Boun’s acting in this. I don't know why no one is talking about that, but he was actually great. Secondly, to be honest, I'm a TVD fan and I've watched vampire BLs before like 1000 years old, My Golden Blood, etc so I did not have much expectations from this one either, story wise. But the story itself was not so bad, so I ended up liking it. I mainly watched it for Boun Prem and Barcode🤤 Bro I just loved his character he's soooo good I wanted to get kidnapped by him tbh😭 So yes, it was totally worth watching this and I loved it's storyline, actors😌 and their acting in this. Would totally recommend this for the pilot (the actors)❤️Was this review helpful to you?
It's a BounPrem gem
It's been 3 years in the making and a long wait for another BounPrem story, but in the end it was worth it. An intriguing plot with a layered storyline and endearing characters. Each episode, a revelation. Boun and Prem has matured emotionally and professionally and it showed in this drama. Peak music score and cinematography. Ramil's character a multifaceted Vampire and Punn a 'play it close to your vest' antique dealer forms an unlikely bond after Punn releases Ramil from a 100 year old curse. Thus a struggle of Vampires vs humans begins. Was this review helpful to you?
