Ramil is an edgelord discord mod
If you are looking for a wig-snatching supernatural romance series that has epic combat scenes, touching emotional moments, an intriguing story and deep nuanced characters, then keep looking, because this series will give you absolutely none of that!Tell me you don't know what a vampire is without telling me you don't know what a vampire is...
Common sense was chasing those characters but they were way faster because none of what happens made sense at any point...
I think it's my fault for having expectations but I was soooo hyped for this series when the trailer came out, but now I just wish I could hypnotize myself to forget what a failure this was.
I mean just look at it: BounPrem in a vampire setting?? Yes please!! But turns out we weren't even robbed, we got full on bullied by GMMTV.
The casting is top notch but I think they forgot to give them the script until the day before the shooting because tell me why it all feels so improvised?? The acting is so awful and wannabe edgy and dark, it hurts to look at... I spent the whole time watching in x2 speed because of second-hand embarrassment...
The pacing is so weird. This series focuses on everything and nothing at the same time. It spends such a long time on unnecessary details and forgets to get anything done. It just throws some plot details here and there like "i love claw machines. oh yeah also I have a century old evil vampire brother that's still roaming free and probably wants to kill me and everyone I love but I guess that won't be an issue. also did i tell you i love claw machines?"
The romance feels so forced... Don't get me wrong, I love BounPrem and their previous works. But what the fuck is going on here?? It feels like Ramil and Punn never really got over that weird awkward first stage of trying to get to know someone and now they're stuck with each other unable to bring themselves to break the awkwardness, like an everlasting uncomfortable first date.
"I want to stay with you forever." MY BROTHER IN CHRIST YOU HAVE KNOWN THIS MAN FOR A WEEK AND ALMOST DIED 1000 TIMES CAN'T YOU CATCH A BREAK??
I absolutely HATED the last episode. It's so rushed it felt like a joke... What do you mean Ramil gives the title of vampire leader to Methus because he is "the best and most reliable brother"?? What was the point of all the bonding scenes and playing house with everyone for 3 episodes if you are just going to say you dislike your family? Aren't things in GMMTV supposed to be ruled by the power of friendship anymore??
Early in the series, Pokpong had a whole crashout about going to live abroad (which is so valid by the way, like wdym you're my financially stable, independent, living in a huge house brother and you can't even take me in even though we literally don't have anyone else and I STILL work part time to support myself??). So tell me why he seems ok that Punn is going to live forever inside a fucking painting with his vampire boyfriend that he's known for a week?? PLEASE BE ANGRY DO SOMETHING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.
So you're telling me Pokpong is just going to watch his brother not age while he's still gonna grow old and wither and die??
I could say that Punn and Ramil are incredible lead characters that carry the whole story, but I won't, cause I don't like to lie.
From his very first apparition, I instantly KNEW that Ramil would be very laughable. That man has no depth whatsoever. His only personality trait is that he has none. I hate his alpha male demeanor, breathing heavily turning red and screaming in the last episode. Please sir stop thinking you're so mysterious and edgy when really your claw hands are making you look cringe. I mean this whole show is just so cringe it becomes the norm... We saw one scene of his past and suddenly he is this tortured figure that's lived through the apocalypse...
Punn was so devout of life it physically hurt to see him interact with other characters. From the first episodes, I was constantly screaming at him to wake up and FEEL something, because tell why that man isn't even phased about falling inside a damn PAINTING and dragging home a VAMPIRE that later on invites his BROTHER inside Punn's house without even asking?? THE WHOLE TIME PUNN WAS JUST LIKE "yeah typical sunday 👍"
I mean yes the whole time he was actually a hunter so he knows about vampires and their whereabouts so that kinda makes sense but still??? Have at least the decency to make your enemies think you're a normal human being instead of being so mysterious and suspicious...
I could seriously go on and on about this show and give one argument for each year Ramil has lived to show you how bad this series really is...
Spare yourself, don't watch it. Even My Golden Blood wasn't that edgy. Don't lose your time on this show and go rewatch Between us...

A vampire story that didn’t bite
Unfortunately, a bit of a disappointment — I had hoped for more. I really liked the two leads after seeing them in Between Us, so my expectations were quite high. I was excited about the mix of vampire lore, romance, and mystery, but sadly, the execution didn’t live up to what I’d hoped for.I really liked the premise and the cast duo had promise, yet it somehow never truly took off for me. The pacing felt uneven — the build-up to the vampire mythos was interesting, but halfway through I found myself skimming episodes rather than being drawn in. The emotional stakes seemed shaky, and the supernatural elements sometimes felt more like props than essential parts of the story. While the visuals and setting were decent, the series lacked the strong character development that would make me care deeply for Punn or Ramil. The romance between them had moments of charm, but more often it felt rushed or overshadowed by side plots that didn’t quite land. There were flashes of good chemistry, but the subplot with the Hunters and the vampiric past felt cluttered and confusing rather than engaging.
In comparison with Golden Blood, which also aired this year, this one felt like a pale copy — lacking the same heart, tension, and spark between the leads. It had potential but never quite found its rhythm.
Overall, despite its hype and solid casting, Revamp the Undead Story is one of those shows that had all the right ingredients but didn’t manage to blend them into something memorable. Still, I genuinely hope to see the main pair together again in another project that suits them better.

Revamp : the undead chaos
I need to start by saying that I'm a broccoli. I really love Bounprem since uwma but...I'm brave enough to admit this was a complete mess.To get it over with, the acting was okay. I have to say that the "holy trinity" (as I call them), Barcode, Mark and Aun were AMAZING! They were really shining! I loved them. Kay and Stamp were also pretty good. Unfortunately I was not that impressed but neither the acting nor the chemistry on Bounprem. Where did their amazing chemistry go?! (I blame gmmtv for that)
Now to the story :
From the very first episode the editing and story telling was all over the place. So many things happening at once but at the same time the story was not moving.
Many things did not make sense but we were promised an explanation at some point. And that explanation came on ep9. (I was really pissed with many things throughout the story but ep9 was what made my blood boil so I will only talk about that).
So, Ramil went to Pun's memories to search for Feratu. Perfectly logical till now. Ramil walks around and starts changing things... (?!) How is that possible? He saved Pun when he was a child and then again when he was a adult (by Methus). And those changes he made on his memories changed the past (?) somehow. HOW?
Ramil was only walking through memories. He should not have been able to interact with anyone. But not only did he but he also changed the past! This was not a time traveling, this was practically mind reading!! How was he able to do that!? Makes no sense.
From the very first scene they created that mystery around their past encounter and Pun's dreams about Ramil, which was so interesting. I was waiting to see the "big reveal" only for it to make no sense. (And if someone seas "We were seeing the story through Pun's memories", no, that is not true. Pun was SAVED on his memories by Ramil TWICE! That means that originally he would have died!)
The story was a mess from the beginning but I was really expecting a good explanation and I was really open on liking it, unfortunately that never happened. I just got so pissed by that fake time traveling-memory changing thingy. (I'm obsessed with time traveling series so that annoyed me way too much)
Some extra things are the romance that I did not feel. I felt more romance from Pong and Mekhin that Ramil and Pun. Everything happened so fast. How were they in love already in episode 2?
Now I will mention some things that I like because I don't want to be completely negative (even thought I don't like this series, like at all) :
- Barcode. He was a gem on his own.
- The three brothers. Icons.
- Pong and Mekhin's relationship. I wanted to see way more of them.
- the twins were fun.
- The fight scene between Elise and Mariah was pretty cool (on the early eps)
Things I didn't like (because I wanna put my thoughs in order.):
- somehow, minimum chemistry (not Bounprem's fault)
- editing was crappie and all over the place
- Story did not make sense (I just had a rant above)
- Pun was kinda an indifferent character. I wanted more personality!
- Ramil was supposed to be the vampire leader but he was silly (and kinda stupid at times) not a serious bone in him. He was also so in love with Pun from the very beginning which made no sense. I wanted to see them fall for each other. A tragic romance between a vampire and a human.!
Lastly I will talk about the ending. I liked that we were not given the cliche "He turned him into a vampire so that they can live together forever". Entering the painting was smart. But at the same time, isn't it extremely sad? Pun just left his brother, who btw just started having a good relationship with, to go live with his vampire boyfriend.
And tbh after the ending of ep9 they were like a family, all of them. So separating them by making the couple leave to stay in a magic painting, all on their own forever was really... Not it? I just really did not like the idea. (also MekhinPong (whish I would die for) would also have the problem of eternity (they are a couple in my mind) so then what are they gonna do? Go to the painting too?)
Now, the very end was interesting... I SCREAMED when I saw Junior. OMG! And I'll be honest here, I'm sure they were teasing a second season. Did I like this one? No. Would I watch a second season where JuniorMark are the protagonist, MekhinPong second couple and Bounprem cameo? Honestly, hell yes! (don't judge me)
This review is all over the place because my mind is also all over the place now. I would not recommend this series tbh. If you want to watch Bounprem they already have uwma which is a masterpiece (and between us). Honestly, I believe that if this project was not produced by gmm and was made before they got in it, it would be good. Lately, gmm is giving such low quality shows that is making me disappointed (and rather angry because they have so much potential!). Well, that's how I feel. Thank you for reading my rant.

My first impression was ass
Let's be honest. WTF IS THIS STORYLINE!?- GMMTV wasted BounPrems potential.
- Barcode's and Boun's face card was the only good thing about this
- I feel like Ciar could've show more emotions in the scenes where he was angry at Punn for being a human.
- The direction was ASS. not gonna lie, the director of this drama also directed many other dramas such as 'We Are' or 'Perfect 10 Liners', they were actually good!. I don't think he was built for this type of BL's.
- I don't understand the useless scenes and characters.
- The ending where Jett went possessed was ASS. Let me tell you, the actor of Jett was really good at the past 9 eps, but he didn't do much in the 10 ep. He was not build to play a psycho role!
- This was my first drama of BounPrem, and I regret not watching 'Between Us' first!
- GMMTV wastes their ideas and time on hopeless couples instead of hopeful ones!

TRAILER BAIT AGAIN
YALLLLLL 😭LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING.
THIS SERIES TRAILER-BAITED ME SO HARD I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD FILE A POLICE REPORT.
Because when I watched the trailer I was sitting there like “OKAYYYYYY THIS IS ABOUT TO BE DARK FANTASY. VAMPIRE × HUNTER. TOXIC CHEMISTRY. MORALLY QUESTIONABLE ROMANCE.”
LIKE HELLO???
VAMPIRE × HUNTER??? THE SEXUAL TENSION SHOULD’VE BEEN SO THICK YOU COULD CUT IT WITH A KNIFE. I was expecting enemies-to-lovers. Suspicion. Knife at the throat. Slow-burn tension. But what did I get instead? FUCKING FLUFF. FLUFF WITH MID FANTASY AND SOFT ROMANCE. EXCUSE ME????
Where is the darkness?
Where is the danger?
Where is the 'I might kill you but I also want to kiss you' energy?
Nowhere. And listen… am I surprised? Considering the director is New Siwaj? Not really. This man LOVES turning potentially dark concepts into soft emotional fluff and today I am once again the victim of that creative decision.
________________________________________________________
a) Plot
So the story revolves around Ramil, a vampire who got trapped inside a painting for a hundred years because apparently backstory is optional in this universe. He was cursed by Lilith, the demon goddess, and the only way to break the curse is for him to choose a human. Cute concept. Love that. Then slowly the human and the vampire fall in love blah blah destiny blah blah romance. The main conflict is supposed to be that Punn is a vampire hunter and he has to decide between killing Ramil or betraying his family.
Keyword: supposed to be.
Because honestly??? Punn barely even tries to kill Ramil. I was waiting for some intense hunter vs vampire conflict and instead we got "I’m conflicted but also in love.” Okay girl. And the villain reveal??? Feratu / Dracul. BABE. The moment I saw the name I already knew he was the villain. LIKE HELLO??? If someone named Dracul shows up in a vampire story I promise you he is not there to sell cupcakes. Now let’s talk about the ending because I have questions.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN PUNN JUST FOLLOWS RAMIL INTO THE PAINTING AND DECIDES TO LIVE THERE FOREVER?? HELLO??? SIR YOU ARE A HUMAN BEING WITH A FAMILY AND A LIFE. YOU CAN’T JUST ABANDON REALITY LIKE YOU’RE MOVING INTO A STUDIO APARTMENT. Make it make sense. You know what ending would’ve been better? Ramil learning to live in the human world while Punn grows old and dies naturally. Then Ramil finds him again when he reincarnates.
HELLO THAT’S ROMANTIC TRAGEDY.
That’s the kind of emotional damage I signed up for. But no. We got magical painting retirement instead. Also can someone explain the Methas and Moon Dai situation at the end??? WHAT IS HE??? IS HE A VAMPIRE??? WHY ARE HIS EYES BLUE???
WHY ARE WE INTRODUCING LORE IN THE LAST FIVE MINUTES OF THE SERIES??? SIR PLEASE GIVE CONTEXT BEFORE ENDING THE SHOW I AM BEGGING.
Now let’s talk about the action scenes. Because girl… WHY ARE THEY SO WEAK??? The fights involving Methus, Mekhin, and especially CIAR were actually good. Sharp movements. Good choreography. But when it comes to Ramil??? Suddenly the fight scene becomes:
*punch*
*kick*
*grab neck*
THE END.
EXCUSE ME??? This man is supposed to be a vampire leader. The final fight with Feratu was literally just them grabbing each other’s neck like two drunk men arguing outside 7-Eleven. I was sitting there like "BFFR PLEASE THIS IS THE FINAL BATTLE."
So overall the pacing is okay, but the cinematography, CGI, and action scenes feel… not bad. Just weak. And the biggest missed opportunity is that the show could’ve been a full dark fantasy romance. The intro was already giving dark gothic vibes but then they put a soft fluffy OST over it and I immediately went "WHAT THE SHIET IS THIS MOOD SWITCH."

b) Characters
> Ramil — played by Boun Noppanut
Listen. This man is my bias. So believe me when I say I WANTED HIM TO SLAY. But something felt off. Why does it feel like his acting went backwards a little bit??? Some scenes looked awkward, especially the action scenes at the end. And I’m sitting there like "THIS IS NOT THE BOUN I FELL FOR WHAT HAPPENED." Maybe it’s just because he hasn’t been on camera for a while. I’m going to be generous and blame rustiness.
Now Ramil as a character… I’m sorry. But he’s a weak ass vampire leader.
He lacks strategy.
He lacks strength.
He lacks intimidation.
This man is supposed to lead a vampire clan but he spends most of the time being emotionally vulnerable because of love. During the confrontation with Feratu he literally lets his subordinates fight while he stands there protecting Punn and Elise. SIR??? YOU ARE THE LEADER. WHY ARE YOU STANDING IN THE BACK LIKE A VIP GUEST AT YOUR OWN WAR. Also the way he treats Ciar??? Don’t even get me started. Ciar is loyal to you and trying to protect the clan but the moment you escape the painting you’re like “Anyway I’m dating a human now.”
BRO????
In conclusion: Ramil is a weak vampire and I said what I said.
~~~~~~
> Punn — played by Prem Warut
MY SHIEYLAAAAAAA ❤️ Okay I need to confess something. I used to dislike Prem’s acting because it looked stiff and awkward. I was literally hoping Boun would get a new partner at some point. BUT BABY. WHAT IS THIS GROWTH??? Prem showed up in this series acting like rent was due TOMORROW MORNING.
The emotions.
The expressions.
The delivery.
He ate. Acting is officially not an issue anymore. Now Punn as a character is actually one of the more rational people in the show. He has a genuine conflict between family loyalty and love for Ramil. Compared to everyone else he feels the most normal. Well… aside from the part where he falls in love with a vampire. Minor detail.
~~~~~~
> Methus — played by Mark Jiruntanin
YOOOOOOOOOO WHY IS HE SUDDENLY SO HOT IN THIS SERIES??? I’ve seen him in other shows before and thought he was just mid but suddenly he shows up here looking mature, confident, and lowkey serving acting skills. I was like "WAIT DID I MISS SOMETHING???? Now I’m actually excited to watch My Romance Scammer because of him. Methus as a character is basically the most functional supporting character in the show.
Need help?
Need strategy?
Need backup?
Call Methus.
He’s loyal, capable, and honestly deserved the vampire leader title when Ramil passed it to him. But I really wish they gave him a proper backstory with flashbacks. That would’ve made his character even stronger.
~~~~~~
> Mekhin — played by Aun Napat
I’m not even going to talk about the acting. That’s not the main issue here. The issue is… WHY IS THIS CHARACTER HERE?? Yes he has healing powers. But does the story actually need him for anything else? Not really. He heals people. That’s it. Congratulations you are the magical first aid kit of the vampire squad.
~~~~~~
> Ciar — played by Barcode Tinnasit
Okay listen. I admit I judged Barcode too quickly before. BUT OH MY GOD. THIS MAN IS FINE. Like dangerously fine. I was watching his action scenes and suddenly felt a TINGLING SENSATION I was not prepared for. His fighting choreography is sharp, clean, and honestly better than Ramil’s. Sorry Boun. It’s the truth.
Ciar as a character is hot-headed and believes violence solves most problems and honestly? Given the circumstances... VALID.
He doesn’t trust humans and keeps warning Ramil about Punn but nobody listens to him. Meanwhile I’m sitting there like "BRO HE’S LITERALLY TRYING TO PROTECT ALL OF YOU." His emotional crashouts are completely justified and honestly I wish Ramil had a bit of Ciar’s fire.
~~~~~~
> Feratu / Dracul — played by Dunk Natachai
First of all… This man is illegal levels of fine. Watching him wipe blood from his mouth??? OH MY GOD. Blood is literally his best accessory. But as a villain he needed more menace. More intelligence. More manipulation. I wanted him to constantly outsmart Ramil so we’d all scream “WHY WON’T YOU DIE ALREADY.” Instead he felt like… plain rice. Edible. But lacking flavor.
p/s: yes I only reviewed the characters that interested me 👅
________________________________________________________
c) Steamy scenes
Weak. Next question. I remember BounPrem kissing like the world was ending in other series and here the steamy scenes were just… meh.
And honestly? I should’ve expected that from GMMTV.
________________________________________________________
d) OST
The main OST is not my favorite.
The supporting OSTs are a mix of hits and misses.
________________________________________________________
e) Overall
This series had the potential to be a dark fantasy romance masterpiece but it played everything way too safe. After years of waiting, the payoff just wasn’t strong enough. The show isn’t bad, but it definitely didn’t reach the level it could’ve. And unfortunately… I’m not rewatching it. I love BounPrem, but they deserve heavier stories. Give them something chaotic like Only Friends energy or something emotionally devastating.
STOP GIVING THEM FLUFF.
I AM TIRED.
Final rating? 8/10.
Great concept. Mid execution. 👅
What a waste of talent
This was kind of like watching a train wreck and two of my favorite actors were being killed. What a horrible story made no sense whatsoever it was all over the place. I felt so bad for all the actors they were trying to do their best but it was ridiculous. The two main leads have such wonderful chemistry and it wasn't even used in this series. I too had been anticipating this thought it looked really good but who wrote and directed this show! They need to be fined and sent back to school. I hate to rate it so low because I like all the actors in it but it's just one of the most awful BLs I have ever watched.Was this review helpful to you?
Another Boun & Prem drama of course I watch this…Punn, the owner of a vintage shop, is asked by a friend to restore a painting that was mysteriously vandalized in their gallery.
While working on it, Punn accidentally injures himself, and his blood stains the artwork. Unbeknownst to him, that single drop of blood awakens Ramil, the last descendant of an ancient vampire lineage who has been trapped inside the painting for over a century.
However, Ramil emerges weak and powerless, becoming the target of relentless Vampire Hunters. To reclaim his lost powers, Ramil needs to find his former servants—vampires who now live discreetly among humans. After reuniting with them and reclaiming his powers, the time finally comes to face the Hunters head-on.
And when they uncover who’s truly behind the hunt… it turns out to be someone unexpected. Someone close.
So now, can the conflict with the Hunters be resolved?
And who is really pulling the strings?
That's pretty much the story without giving anymore spoilers. Now what I like and don't.
What I like:
+ Seeing Boun & Prem in another drama together.
What I don’t like:
- Interesting concept, but unfortunately very poor in implementation. Such as that horrific fighting scene…Thai or maybe just GMM-TV need better choreography for the fighting scene…
- All the cheesy acts that Boun did as Ramil.
- Too good of an ending… I don’t know how to put this into words… But I just feel they rush it toward the ending…
Overall I'm happy Boun & Prem can have a drama together again… For the drama itself I've seen better for sure…
“BE SO SERIOUS RIGHT NOW—WHO SIGNED OFF ON THIS PLOT???”
The storyline? BABE. It was giving car crash in slow motion, vampire in Crocs, Twilight if it were written during a sugar crash — and yet here I am, invested like a clown with premium seating.And that MAIN LEAD???
A radioactive red flag dipped in immortal thirst-trap sauce.
I swear he walked on screen and my brain went:
“I HATE YOU.”
“I LOVE YOU.”
“I HATE THAT I LOVE YOU.”
“I NEED A RESTRAINING ORDER AND ALSO A HUG.”
The emotional whiplash is insane. I need therapy, financial compensation, and possibly an intervention.
The pacing??? LMAO PLEASE.
Half the time it was doing parkour like it was running from debt collectors, and the other half it lagged like my WiFi during a monsoon. CHOOSE A SPEED, YOUR HONOR.
World-building? Don’t get me started.
They served crumbs. CRUMBS. Not even the good soft crumbs — the dry, corner-of-the-cookie crumbs you give to pigeons.
HELLO?? I am a lore-goblin. I need FEASTS. I need MYTHOLOGY. I need WHY IS HE IMMORTAL AND ONE'S ALSO SAD ALL THE TIME???
And yet…
And yet…
6.5/10.
Because it irritated me, entertained me, and emotionally violated me in a way I cannot explain.
Would I watch it again?
Absolutely not.
I value my mental health.
But also… I might hate-rewatch a few scenes because I’m weak and stupid and Boun looked hot TT TT.
A story that blends vampires, friendship, family, and love. This series explores how love can take many shapes — from the eternal bonds of family to the mysterious allure of the undead. There’s something timeless about vampires, and this show captures it perfectly.You can find more of my reviews on Instagram. :D See my homepage about my Instagram account. I've Seen Enough
I only watched this for Kay & Code. Overall, they're great. I feel terrible that Code and Kay's acting capabilities were wasted with this show.As for the show, the acting, the plot, and the script are terrible. BounPrem has no chemistry, and despite having been paired for quite sometime remind me of the days in BL when fish lipping was the go to kissing method. I only gave the acting/cast a 4 for the side actors, but the acting is a 1 star. There's far too much filler and useless moments that should've been scrapped in favor of furthering the plot. It's hot garbage and an entire mess. If I could give it 0 stars, I would.
