The action was good but the story was trash, sorry
badland hunter netflix movie as the main lead is Ma Dong Seok the action was good and fight also okbut when it come to the main course that is story for every movie it not doing anything new and a very bad story telling
if you want to watch this show only look for action other then that theres nothing to watch
and as for the second main lead Lee Jun Young i thing his roll in the movie is totally unnecessory
But if you are a fan of Ma Dong Seok you can watch it for action.

The sceneries looked quite fake here and there and the lighting felt wrong. CGI was well done sometimes, and bad other times.
For a postapocalyptic environment they displayed not enough desperation of the people.
Without getting into too much detail, the backstory was too short (there was just too less explanation of everything), the introduction of the characters was almost nonexistent, which made it quite hard to get their motivations - just a bunch of stereotypes colliding - and the action scenes were all over the place. There were too many action scenes and even though the fighting itself looked good, the shaky cameras and blood/body parts flying everywhere turned it into a bad rollercoaster. A lot of "deaths" were totally exaggerated.
If they made the movie a bit longer, put more effort into the backstory and its characters and created a more logical rescue mission, this could have been an enjoyable movie.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but don't waste your time on this, guys.

Contrary to my expectations, it’s not that bad. First the actions, I appreciate it. They use continous shot a lot. This is really hard to take. And for non continous shot, the action and reaction is well filmed, so the actions really flow, so to speak.
The weapon they use also varies, and the way they use gun is also quite exhilarating to watch. Ma dong seok is truly made for action. If you see the movie, his character can be said to be very efficient. Compared to jiwan who use lot of bullets, namsan makes sure he shot the head.
The plot, as people says it’s not revolutionary, but it’s not bad. There are too many end-of-world movie these days that it’s hard to create something unique. But it’s true that I wasn’t able to be emotionally invested in the plot. No supposedly sad scene was able to make me cry. Well it’s normal, I don’t think the character even cried. I would’ve love if they put more effort in crafting emotional scenes.
The comedy is okay too. It didn’t make me laugh uncontrollably, but it did make me chuckle. I especially like the stepmother joke lol
I’ll add something about the gore. I don’t like gore and this movie didn’t bother me in that aspect. Even if the scene is considered gore, it moved fast. Since it doesn’t focus on the gore itself, it’s not sickening.
Another disadvantage this movie had, there’s almost no tension, where you’re scared the main cast gonna die or something bad gonna happen to them, since ma dong seok character nam san is too invincible. He doesn’t really face meaningful obstacle that can threaten him. This is common problem a lot of action movies face.
When physical obstacles can’t be added since the character is set to be invincible, they should’ve added emotional obstacles.
They should just kill someone in the main cast. That emotional explosion would be good. I would have cried if ji wan died.
It doesn’t feel that rewatchable so I want to put 7.5 rating… but I don’t wanna lower rating of lee junyoung work so I’ll put 8 🙈

Cliche apocalypse movie
Not really extraordinary but not bad either. It’s definitely a movie you can enjoy with your family during movie night, or by yourself. I played this movie as background noise as I played my game lol, it had its moments where I would put my game down to focus on a scene but then it would get boring again, making me shift my focus.I feel like the pacing of the story is extremely fast and everything happens at once, as if the movie couldn’t wait to be finished.
Nothing too good. It reminded me a bit of that kdrama called the black knight, the apocalyptic setting was very similar, but i’m not sure why Korea pictures the end of the world as a desert everytime 😂 I’d love to see an apocalypse movie where everything is overgrown by grass and plants for once. I get that it’s apocalyptic so they have to give a bland setting but that doesn’t mean viewers should get bored of it visually.
I won’t nitpick further, entertaining enough to watch once.

Weak Movie, Too Much Action
Hmm, how can I say this? It was decent at most.Yet another film with a post-apocalyptic premise, where the main threat is human instead of a natural disaster or wild animals. Wow, I did not expect that. Can we get something unique?
The introduction of the film is too fast; they might as well not show the earthquake scene. It was too brief, and the introduction of the seductive character isn't good enough. Secondly, how? How did the organization find those teens? How did the female sergeant find Nam San? Why did she need him? She specifically asked him and emphasized his name like she knew him but didn't bother to explain.
The plot is weak, with nothing interesting. The female sargeant (Ahn Ji Hye) and Suna (Roh Jeong Eui) acting is soooo bad. Especially Ahn Ji Hye, her acting is soulless. The action is brutal but at the second half of the movie, it became dragging, with to much action.
As much as I love Ma Dong Suk, I did not enjoy this movie. Not recommended at all.

ENTERTAINED ME...
The utilization of the same location as "CONCRETE UTOPIA" for the building scenes appears to be a curious choice, adding a layer of familiarity for viewers. While unconventional, this sequence provided an enjoyable diversion. The visual effects maintained a consistent level of quality, with CGI that, while not groundbreaking, was competent. However, the reliance on clichés such as the mad scientist, zombies, and transformed humans felt uninspired and failed to captivate. As a result, the film may ultimately be relegated to the realm of forgettable entertainment, lacking the originality needed to leave a lasting impression. Despite this, there's still some enjoyment to be found in its execution, making it a passable option for casual viewing. Was this review helpful to you?

What is even this plot?
The plot goes nowhere. What caused the earthquake? What is the mad scientists backstory? What does the serum actually do? How does it work? What are the main characters relations and how do they meet? etc. I could line up many more unanswered questions. The glimpses of any sort of backstory were directly told to us in an unnatural placing, and what wasn’t told to us is left to for us to guess with much uncertainty. I watched this for Ma Dong-Seok and was left disappointed as his character was so terribly written I somehow managed to dislike him despite the writers attempts to make him the righteous, unbreakable character. Was this review helpful to you?

wasn’t what I expected. Overall I enjoyed this movie
it’s not a masterpiece or a mind blowing film, but in general I enjoyed this movie. I was barely on my cellphone while watching, so that already a good point. The casting and acting is good. The actions/fighting scenes were also good, I didn’t expect this much blood and everything. It also not what I imagined before stating with the experience on human and the people become « monsters ». That was a surprise, I don’t know why I was just expected a girl kidnapped and not monster people ahahThe plot is okay, we already know from their first appearance that they are bad guys and that they would killed the older people. It was kinda predictable plot, don’t expect big plot twist. However, his daughter in the jar, that surprised me. Also at first when we realized that they weren’t dying maybe…. Anyway
Good ending though : bad people dead, happy ending, all our leads alive and happy. But I would have like to see the woman too with them at the end
The guy character with ML is really handsome, I was like I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere. I was right ahah he’s the guy in the upcoming drama The impossible heir… See you soon

Mix fantasy ben assortito
