Love, Lies & Manipulation – Welcome to Secret Relationship
Wow. I don’t even know where to start with this one. Being my first-ever Korean BL, I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster this drama threw me on. But I do know one thing— it set the bar ridiculously high. For a drama with only 8 episodes, each around 30 minutes, it never once felt rushed or incomplete. The pacing was so well done. Every single episode left me wanting more, and somehow, they managed to pack in all the tension, angst, and emotional wreckage without making anything feel forced. It’s rare for a short-format drama to feel this full, but Secret Relationship nailed it.
The Plot – A Toxic, Twisted Love Web
Jung Daon is caught in a very complicated situation—stuck between a controlling toxic oppa, a sweet sunshine who deserves the world, and an absolute devil who enjoys playing with people's emotions like it’s a sport. It's messy, so messy, and that’s what makes it so damn addictive.
Characters – A Messy, Flawed, and Completely Addictive Bunch
One of the biggest strengths of this drama is its characters. They are not simple, one-dimensional tropes. They are deeply flawed, frustrating at times, and painfully real.
Jung Daon – Walking Emotional Damage
– If "walking heartbreak" was a person, it would be him. The poor guy has been stuck in this cycle of self-doubt and emotional torment for so long that he genuinely believes he’s not worthy of happiness. Watching him struggle, make questionable choices, and slowly fight to break free was one of the most compelling parts of this drama.
Seong Hyeon – The Ball of Sunshine
–This man? Too pure for this drama. The absolute sweetheart of the show, My precious, soft-hearted, warm-as-the-sun baby.. He’s the kind of person who puts everyone else first, even at his own expense. He’s pure, kind, and incredibly loyal, which makes it even more painful to watch him get dragged into this emotional battlefield. He deserved all the happiness in the world, and honestly, I just wanted to protect him.
Kim Su Hyeon – TOXIC Hot Oppa™
– Where do I even start? Sir, you need therapy. Immediately. This guy is toxic, obsessive, abusive and emotionally unstable and unavailable in the most frustrating way possible.
You are toxic and I hate you. And you are HOT
Jaemin – The Devil in Disguise
–If there’s a character that deserves an award for mind games, it’s Jaemin. A psychopath. A master manipulator. This man plays chess while everyone else is struggling with tic-tac-toe. Every action, every word, every little gesture—it’s all calculated. He smiles like an angel but manipulates like a devil, twisting people’s emotions and pulling the strings behind the scenes; he’s always one step ahead. And the worst part? Jaemin, you are a menace. He was just that terrifyingly good.
Brilliant performances – These actors delivered— They nailed it.
Music & Atmosphere - The background music? Perfectly placed. won’t say it was the most memorable OST ever, but it did its job so well that I can’t complain.
Final Thoughts –
If you want a soft, healing romance, this is NOT it. But if you’re looking for a dark, twisted, emotionally charged love story that keeps you hooked from start to finish. It’s messy, it’s intense, and it will ruin your peace of mind—but you’ll love every second of it.
For my first Korean BL, I don’t think I could’ve picked a wilder, more gripping watch. It was toxic, dramatic, intense, and utterly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a romance with real emotional depth and a chaotic love square that’ll have you screaming at the screen, this is it.

Why is it so hard to find happiness? Will this misery ever end?
This is the story of Daon's perfectly "normal" life which was turned upside down by Seong Hyeon, a lovely retriever. The plot takes a huge turn when this introduction of a good guy bothers his old college seniors. That's where this miserable life of Daon started, or should I say, that it's always been like this, unbeknownst to him.• Storyline: Was just brilliant! The writer perfectly knitted every twist so brilliantly that the audience can't even guess how the plot will take a turn in the second half of the episode. It was a thriller jam-packed with anticipation and excitement.
• Characters:
>From the beginning till the end, all the characters, Daon, Seong Hyeon, Jaemin and Su Hyeon, didn't even let me blink for a second.
>Daon's helplessness, Seong Hyeon's yearning for love, Jaemin & Su Hyeon's toxic maniac traits made me sit on the edge and feel all uneasy.
>Jaemin and Su Hyeon's obsessive nature towards Daon was hard to watch as we saw him suffer and suffer. Even if he wanted to love or be loved, they made sure not to let him live in peace, as they were both were burning in jealousy. Even if Su Hyeon was somewhat decent in comparison with Jaemin, who was a complete psycho lunatic!
>At some point, they thought of Daon as a possession that one is dying to possess by discarding the fact he's a human. He has feelings too. The burnout from the everyday pitiful life of Daon was visibly painful to watch. The scope of finding the light of hope seemed to be narrowing down the tunnel with each episode.
>On the other hand, Seong Hyeon was trying his best to be emotionally and physically available to Daon as he deeply fell in love with him without knowing that the other two would never give up on him and try their best not to let him succeed in love.
• Acting: Can you believe the actors are rookies and this is their first and biggest lead roles? I mean, I can't even imagine how hard work it needed to deliver this great acting.
• Music: The BGMs were enjoying it as they created a suspenseful environment throughout the episodes.
After so long, the BL industry understood who was the king of great plots, i.e. KBLs! There's no match! We've seen so many good guy-bad guy toxic romances, but this storyline was beyond my expectations. It's like a breath of fresh air among all the raw, poor, half-baked, NC-filled BLs out there. THE ANGST WAS ANGSTING LIKE NO OTHER! omg so hotttt ヾ(•̀з•́)ノ゙ YEAHHH!
Overall, a highly recommended drama for those who are bored with all the mediocre BLs out there and want to watch something that'll keep you on the edge, then this is for you. What a brilliant roller-coaster bumpy ride it was! I'm speechless!
HANDS DOWN-
THE. BEST. KBL. EVERR! PERIODT.
The way each and every episode was woven with intricate twists and turns, left me OPEN-MOUTHED!
(I'm giving it a 9.5 and deducting -0.5 because I'm petty af! Muahaha!)

"Toxic" is too mild...
First of all I will not dive too much into this series. You have lot's of reviewers who will explain any detail for you, but I can't be bothered.
While the acting was amazing all characters in this show do need psycho-therapy. All of them. While "psycho professor" & "angry director" do need it most, the other two need it too.
To have a BL where love is regarded as "business" leaves a bitter taste on my tongue. Also the co-worker who at least does not care about Daons background has also a problem with accepting a) rejection and b) listening. I find it quite annoying when characters refuse to listen.
And then there is the lackluster finale... Because it's a BL we get a happy end. Oh would it be so much better if Co-Worker just died and that would be the end for all. But no, he must get his Daon so all the fangirls are happy. Also the final kiss was not that good compared to the scene in his apparment when he was drunk...
Cinematography was top notch, all the details were amazing... but imho it was quite wasted on such a story imho. I liked the beginning but it then spiraled out of control especially with the "angry director" and the "psycho professor". Also who would go for a presentation when the co-worker got stabbed? Would you not inform the attendence and scrap it? Or is it a work-related thing in Korea, that business must go on regardless of what happend? That did not make much sense to me. And then Mr. Director appologizing? Nah, unbelievable, you can't reflect in such a short time on the 11 years you did all the crap.
So overall I'm a bit split about this series, even when I don't mind toxic storylines. It's an above average show, but the story will not be to everyones taste which is a plus in my book but the finale was disappointing for me.

Unraveling the Riddles of an “Imperfect Love Square”
The term “love triangle” refers to a romantic situation involving more than two people. But what if there are more than three sides? What if there is a fourth person involved?Although much less explored than the "love triangle", the "love square" has always been a recurring theme in the world of film and television series. 'Light on Me', the South Korean BL directed by Lee Yoo Yeon, is a good example of a teen fiction that depicts a romantic relationship involving four people.
You might think that audiences are tired of love squares, but there is a reason why writers keep using them: they work. The key is to make sure that the story is not overwhelmed by the love square.
In the style of mature young people and an office environment, but more elegant and sensitive than the aforementioned 2021 series, 'Secret Relations', the South Korean drama directed by Yang Kyung Hee, describes the complicated relationship between Jung Da On and the three men around him.
This is not the first time that the South Korean director has explored a love relationship that goes beyond the traditional one between two people. In 'The Tasty Florida' (2021), 'Love Tractor' (2023) and 'Kissable Lips' (2022), the "Queen Midas" of BL from that Asian nation narrates affective and emotional bonds between three people.
In the strongest scenes of the series, Ju Seong Hyeon (Cha Sun Hyung), Sin Jae Min (Kim Ho Young) and Kim Su Hyeon (Cha Jung Woo), three young rising stars of South Korean audiovisuals, break the barrier hitherto explored by Yang Kyung Hee to portray a trio of young, nervous, recently graduated university students, slightly crazy and who do not care about keeping secrets, who rush headlong in unison to win the love of Jung Da On (Kim Jun Seo in his acting debut). It is a story not without manipulation and unknowns.
One of the great successes of 'Secret Relations' is, without a doubt, its four main characters. Absolutely credible, charismatic and with a "feeling" that goes beyond the screen. The quartet of actors eat up their co-stars, they fill the screen and you identify with them from the first moment. Kim Jun Seo, a newcomer, stands out above all, and this series establishes him as a promising actor.
Their performances are so spontaneous and explosive that you immediately identify with these reckless lovers, who embody antagonism and certain controlling and narcissistic traits that BL series rarely show. However, you will arm yourself with your best judgment to encourage two of the boys to form a couple capable of aspiring to happiness. Because do not doubt it, dear reader: The public has immediately chosen sides, the fandom has created "teams" to be on... and this only means that they are involved in the story and connected to the characters.
The adaptation of the eponymous Kakao webtoon, produced by McQueen Studio, delves deeper into the narrative with extended dialogues, monologues and additional episodes that were not fully explored in the original work.
With a solid fan base and high artistic value, the weetoon saw the light in drama formats on February 27, 2025, and web novel, on the 14th of the same month, in an unusual reverse adaptation movement.
Yang Kyung Hee opted to create a series that likes to tell its story in retrospect, in which three protagonists will remember how they met and became friends seven years ago, when Da On began her university studies.
To describe the story written by Lee Yoo Jin about the complicated relationship between Jung Da On and her three lovers, the director of 'The Time of Fever' (2024) and 'The Director Who Buys Me Dinner' also joined Jung Soo Yoon ('Boys' Flight' and 'Your Taste'), an experienced screenwriter who has accompanied her throughout the course of the series. Together they form a duo that has been able to cleverly weave together each adventure from the written and the visual.
Why does the love square work?
What would happen if one of the three lovers confessed their feelings to Jung Da On? What would happen to the two remaining jealous people in the love square?: Only the imbalance of the love square can happen: The series is rich in creating the instability of the love square, because in turn it creates great material for conflict, feeding the plot of this series. In this way, it also creates opportunities for dramatic situations and provides a basic story arc to follow, since there is a romantic choice to be made.
Knowing that love squares cannot be the only support of the story… that is, seeking the effectiveness and functioning of the love square, Yang Kyung Hee introduces something deeper, such as the personal confusion and identity crisis of the protagonist.
Like a great magician, Yang Kyung Hee will conceal important elements of the story, as well as important personality traits and desires of those involved in the love square, and will pull out the essentials little by little, like rabbits from a magic hat, only when it is necessary to reveal them to the viewer. In this way, we can discover the main characters and personalities gradually while there is still some mystery. Likewise, the series is skilled at giving a good and a bad side to Da On's suitors.
But, who are the members of this love square:
Jung Da On: A young man who has a difficult family and financial situation. He works hard to overcome his poverty-stricken past and create a brighter future for himself. This has shaped his life and occasionally causes misunderstandings with other people who see his wit as a negative. Sometimes his past experiences lead to misunderstandings with others. A very witty, positive, and tender guy, although a bit absent-minded, especially when he is around his crush.
Joo Sung Hyun: Da On's coworker. They have a tense relationship at first, but Sung Hyun soon develops feelings for Da On and is always shown to be open and honest about his feelings, while Da On is too preoccupied with his one-sided love for Sin Jae Min. He is the kind, caring, and empathetic man who continues to protect Da On from the office; he also adopts modest and respectful attitudes towards others.
The relationship the two establish is from enemies to friends... Will it become from friends to lovers?
Kim Soo Hyun: A man who grows while experiencing hurt and pain. He lacks the courage to confess his love to Da On. Having been in love with him since his college years, he then realized that Dao On secretly loved Jae Min, so he decides to play along with his rival, and they both pretend to have a romance. Objective?: To ensure that they can both stay close to Da On forever. He is an explosive, enigmatic and very interesting character.
Shin Jae Min is Da On's cynical, hypocritical and manipulative tutor in high school. He has helped Da On through difficult times, and Da On trusts and depends on him. Da On harbors lingering feelings for Jae Min. He proposed to Kim Soo Hyun that they should pretend to be in a loving relationship in exchange for neither of them confessing their love to Da On. Jae Min is aware that it will not be easy for him to express his feelings for Da On since Soo Hyun will interfere because he is equally in love with Da On.
Four-way speaking, Da On struggles with his feelings for his co-worker and his former tutor, while being unaware of being pursued by Soo Hyun. He is grateful to Jae Min for his previous support and still has feelings for him. However, he is unaware that Jae Min does not want anyone to show loving feelings for him, so he has decided to manipulate both Soo Hyun and Da On himself. At the same time, Da On is attracted to Sung Hyun's genuine and caring personality.
Both Jae Min and Soo Hyun respected their mutual agreement, until suddenly Soo Hyun returns to South Korea from the United States, ready to admit that his relationship with Jae Min is fake and confess his love to Da On. He even intervenes from a position of power: he has been elected CEO of the company where Da On works. This will force Jae Min to act quickly.
Jae Min and Soo Hyun's problem is that neither of them can stand the other receiving more affection and love from Da On. And this is the basis of deception and manipulation, making Da On believe that there is a romance between them. What these two characters couldn't foresee is that the arrival of a noble knight in shining armor will turn the complicated love triangle into a thorny square.
What each of these men symbolizes for Da On and how the three of them try to win him over is what makes the love square of 'Secret Relations' so attractive.
The series shows audiences which of these three men would be the best choice for Da On, and his final decision ultimately comes down to much more than love: it's about which version of himself he truly wants to be.
But we can't forget that just as the story must have something more, the main character must have something more. Da On, our protagonist trapped in a love square, cannot be defined by his romantic choice. It's time for the obvious question: Who will Da On choose?
With great visuals and cinematography, the series is rich in incorporating personal desires and needs of the protagonist, as well as those of his suitors to motivate him, as well as something really at stake in the romantic choice to be made (not just one boy, or the other boy, or the third boy).
The series carefully ensures that the love square works. Why? From script to staging, everyone involved kept in mind that although the square is, in reality, a perfectly stable shape, in storytelling, a love square is inherently unstable.
With the love square, they successfully create conflict and tension that can feed into the plot and the narrative makes sure there is something deeper and more meaningful at the heart of the story for the audience to really care: each suitor must represent something of the main character's desires and needs, from which he must choose.
However, the series masterfully violates the principle that each suitor must be of equal dignity. If all three of Da On's love interests were noble and empathetic, it would be much harder for him to choose. Right?
Seen another way: If out of the three lovers of the protagonist there are one or two villains, wouldn't it be easier for his heart to decide? But... Would we as audiences be attracted to a story with such a "simple" solution? Of course not. So, how do you get the audience to stick to their seats and wait week after week for the next episode? And this is one of the great mysteries to be solved in the course of the episodes.
Because there is a great reality: if one or two of the suitors is not a good option and the choice between the three is painfully obvious, the love triangle does not work and the audience will notice it immediately. With the cards on the table, with the viewer taking into account the characteristics and actions of the three men, how will the script and the staging be convincing and be aware of expectations in order to take advantage of them or subvert them, if that is the case?
The brief but original introduction and farewell, and the musical themes "True Love" by BTOB's Lee Chang-sub and "Careless I Love You" by Paul Blanco, invite you to follow in the footsteps of these four young people as they explore love as a four-way band.

Light On Me - version Noir
The similarities between those two ends at the four leads, there is quite literally no comparison between the two in terms of themes, or cinematography or story, but both are, in their own rights, some of the best K Dramas I've seen. This stuff is DARK. Messed up and will mess up your head with a hundred thoughts. The plot is all over the place but so intricately and most importantly, flawlessly connected, that even though it takes around six episodes for all the dots to connect, you can step back and take a look at the bigger picture in the last two and just sigh in awe. The story will keep you on edge, it never got boring even for a second and I truly envy everyone who gets to binge all eight episodes because this is not something you can wait patiently for.
The characters: simply brilliant. The way they were written, of course, but some of them were brilliant as is. The four leads are four very distinct characters, they might share some similar traits but at the end of the day, they're very different. Writing them in such a way not only made for a great plot, but also made for some very interesting internal struggles for the viewers. Trust me, everyone I watched with had a minute deciphering the actions and motivations of the characters.
The acting, the cinematography, the music: all brilliant. They used so much symbolism to foreshadow major plot points, which once again alludes to the moments when you look at the big picture in the last two episodes and just go.. wow..
There were so many plot twists and surprise reveals, one after the other and just wrapping your head around everything that's going on can easily take an hour after each episode, but it is so worth it.
There is one other similarity between Light On Me and Secret Relationships though, now that I think about it, one of the characters is an absolute cinnamon roll and I love him.
Irregardless (he is genuinely amazing), watching this gave my brain some great exercise, I already feel a gaping hole and it hasn't even been an hour since I watched the finale. This is truly one of the best dramas I've watched in a while, scratch that, one of the best dramas I've ever watched.

Did not have high hopes for this one mostly because I watched it without seeing any trailers and the past few kbls have been a disappointment to say the least won't say which tho. This one was a breath of fresh air and the running time being half an hour? Yes please. It had me checking my calendars to see when Wednesday would come for another episode to drop. The storyline was insane.

The Ten Commandments of KBL
Here are the commandments that have been handed down to us by the gods of Korean BLs. They shall be the commandments by which any present and all future KBLs may be judged.(For more on ratings and my thoughts on the show, see below.)
1. Thou shalt not kiss. Thou shalt not, in any meaningful sense of that word, "kiss". Thou mayst, however, press thy lips against another man’s as thou wouldst a leper’s.
2. Thou shalt not utter the word ‘gay’. For it is a sin. Thou mayst love another man, but if any man shall ask of thee if thou dost, thou mayst answer, “I like not men, I like only you.”
3. Thou shalt refrain from all carnal desires. For it is a sin. The submissive shall resist all attempts at intimacy, and the dominant may not pursue the submissive unless it is known that all his attempts shall prove fruitless. (Aptly mayst thou call this 'ironical'.)
4. Thou shalt respect the difference in height between the dominant and the submissive. Six inches will suffice, a foot too much, three inches too little. As below, so above.
5. Remember thou that there exist only three acceptable settings for a KBL. School, university, and office. For these do encompass all of life. Thou shalt invest thy characters in white jackets with blue borders if at school, leather jackets and hooded sweaters at university, and ill-fitted suits for work.
6. Remember thou that there exist only three acceptable plots for a KBL. Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, and (adopted) brothers to lovers. Thou shalt entertain no other plots besides these.
7. Thou shalt employ no actor that is not thin, wanting of water, and starved for nutriments. The actors must have defined chests, six (or better yet, eight) pack abdominals, and flawless skin. Thou mayst coat the skin with three inches of wall paint to whitewash all flaws.
8. The writer shall inscribe in each tale at least one instance of timejump, forced separation or miscommunication. The unimaginative shall employ all three.
9. Thou shalt choose from among the following ornaments at least three to embellish thy tale: accidental fall and catch, gentle wiping of the lips (for there is a general want of raiment in our kingdom), gentle forehead kiss, gentle forehead pat, gentle lock-of-hair restoration, gentle fever (oftenest from a mere drop of rain), a gentle towel bath for that fever, gentle wound-tending, gentle somnolent confession, gentle amnesia (from a mere drop of wine) to wipe out the memory of that confession, and, forget not thou, the not-so-gentle eleventh hour crisis that shall precede the felicitously ever after.
10. Thou shalt by no means indicate homophobia in thy tale — in this, our most homophobic realm — unless it furthereth thy plot and our cynical purpose. Friends and family shall be universally supportive, unless it force a separation between thy characters. Remember thou always that this is a world of pandering fantasy, not reality.
Biblical Proportions (so far):
Commandments Broken: 1 (!!!).
Commandments Obeyed: 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Purpose:
* I wrote out these commandments as a review for another show, because, let's face it, KBL has basically become an IKEA assembly line, built out of the same few plots, not to mention drawing from the same pool of well-worn tropes. I tested the commandments with two other shows before, and their predictive power astonished even me. So, this is my tongue-in-cheek way of poking fun at KBLs, and drawing attention to those that are more original.
* My system is this: I’ll start with 5.5 throughout. For each commandment broken, I’ll add half a star to the story. (If the first two commandments are broken, I’ll add a whole extra star to the overall rating.) And for each commandment obeyed, I’ll deduct half a point from the story. If a commandment is obeyed, but in a subversive way, I’ll count it as broken.
* On how I rate the cast, I shall be unabashedly shallow. A hot cast automatically gets 5 stars. Shirtlessness gets an extra star. Decent acting adds another star or two. Nudity, or proper kissing, or any sign that the actors have no fear in portraying gay intimacy, will add a whole star to the total rating.
Ratings:
— Well, well, well... This is the first time I have seen both the first and third commands broken in KBL, and that too in the first half of the show. And one of the leads is an idol, no less! Is KBL finally getting past its Prudence Clearwater phase?
— Other than that, it has so far obeyed every commandment from 4 to 10, all of them in the first two episodes.
— The actors are all quite cute, and the leads have shown that they are not afraid of portraying gay intimacy, all of which earns them a rating of 6. I'm not convinced, however, that they are good actors. (But then, that requires a decent script.)
Further Impressions:
— This show is so stupid. Even by the first episode, it’s clear that Da On and Seong Hyeon are end-game. Seong Hyeon is such a ‘green flag’ he might as well be a leprechaun celebrating St Patrick’s Day in an Irish pub. He's also quite dull. Plus, it's always been always clear to me, from the cartoonish monstrosity of Su Hyeon, that he's not the real villain, that Jae Min is. And, of course, Da On is a hothouse flower throughout, who has no agency, and who just bends to the will and whim of everyone else.
— I'm sorry, but who writes these plotlines? In what universe does a "contract" of mutual restraint make sense? And in what universe is that a viable plan to keep a man by your side forever? And, and, and... in what universe will anyone agree to abide by that contract? I can't for the life of me imagine a gay man coming up with any of this, because we are far more likely to just fuck and be friends, or enter into a polyamorous arrangement, than contrive any of this Hallmark Channel/Lifetime Movie nonsense.
— No, seriously. Who comes up with these plotlines? JaeMin is supposed to be this manipulative mastermind, who was devious enough to come up with that meaningless "contract", yet, for 11 years, he stood next to Da On, and did nothing? 11 years? You waste a decade of your life on a relationship that is yet to be, that you desperately want, for which you will go to any sociopathic lengths, and yet, you sacrifice the best years of your life by being celibate and warding him off?
— Does Da On have a magic b***y or something? Why are three men into him? No, seriously, why? I see that he's cute, and is a shy maiden, which is of course a catnip for monsters in KDrama. But it's not as if there aren't others out there. Nevertheless, three men are devoting their lives to this wet blanket, scheming and pining and plotting and stabbing themselves... Does he wear a secret perfume called 'Pour Drapeaux Rouges'?
— As for the finale, let's just say, it was worthy of the best (or worst) KDrama by way of Mexican telenovelas, with some Bollywood melodrama thrown in for good measure. It was gloriously silly.
Verdict:
Well, it had everything: love quandrangles, passive bottoms, cartoon villains, self-harm, kidnapping, a near-homophobic 11th hour crisis, gay kisses (in KBL!), utterly ridiculous plotlines, and the most boring green-flag seme I can think of. If this is your thing, go for it!
Reader's Digest:
DO SAY: The key to an Open Relationship is honesty & communication.
DON'T SAY: The key to a Secret Relationship is mistrust & manipulation.

Speaking of the actors and their performances, I am delighted. None of them annoyed me in the sense of making me cringe or feel embarrassed . I want to praise four of them, they did a amazing job. I wished each of them a happy ending and felt sympathy for the characters.

Perfect
Not much to say, because everything is perfect, the only things that I would want more is a better ending, because the ending was very simple,it would be better if there were another episode, with a bit more of the final couple.overall very good drama.Another thing is that some Korean bl dramas sometimes are very quiet, idk why, this one didn’t have that much of the silent happening so I was really happy about it,would love to see another drama with the final couple, like Thai companies do.Same couple different story.
Thanku for reading!

THE PLOT TWISTS
What kind of plot twists are these. I'm obsessed! I couldn't predict most of the things that happened. And that's the reason why this series is a "must watch". All actors played so well their role. The toxicity is so subtle and loud at the same time. This isn't just a love triangle. It's way beyond. And written in a very nice way. In each ep I was screaming to my screen to finally choose the colleague and escape the whole friend zone environment. The trauma Da On had to deal with bc of his "friends/crushes" actions is enormous. He needs peace in life and to finally be happy with no such big concerns. He deserves someone who's kind, honest and caring and not THAT possessive and crazy (giving a side eye to the characters). Glad we got a nice closure in only 8 eps with a full developed story! Shout out to the whole team that created this series and captured so nicely all the emotions. Was this review helpful to you?
