It is a watchable movie with love lost and love again. Steven Zhang is a good actor

"All These Years," a movie starring Sun Qian and Steven Zhang, is about the love story of Chen Jian Xia and Li Ran that span over 10 years.

Chen Jian Xia grew up in a patriarchal environment and did not have a good relationship with her mother. She did not feel the love of her parents, especially her mother, as they were at odds with each other. Li Ran is a rebellious but kind young man who did not get the love of his father and stepmom after his mom passed away at a young age.

Li Ran's good grandfather left him with a large inheritance upon his death. Li Ran became a successful businessman. At the same time, Chen Jian Xia ran away and worked in Singapore.

She returned ten years later when her father was sick and passed away. She ran into Li Ran and rekindled their love for each other.

The movie is a slow start, but eventually, it gets to the main CP's good character building. Steven Zhang is a better actor in this movie than Sun Qian. It is a watchable movie, and I give it a 7.0 rating.

Brilliantly done movie about two people in love

From start to finish the movie main focus was just its two main leads. Perfect or not, it is a story of their love and how they get through life hardships while being true to their feelings. While this is definitely a LOVE Story, there is never a verbal mentioned of that word and yet you can feel the deep feeling of love that they have for each other through their expressions, actions and decisions. An otherwise simple plot can easily turn to a bore if it were not beautifully done with such amazing actors of leads and supports, beautiful cinematography, captivating dialogue and I am sure a lot more work of editing and other related works that goes into movie making, that made this movie such a delight to watch from begin to end. Kudos to all the actors, producers, directors and crews of this film. I thoroughly enjoyed its slow pace and focus. Though we wish it can be longer so we get a lot more screen time of the leads, the film still leave us satisfied. In 1 hour and 56 mins, the film managed to give a satisfiable closure to all issues it brought forward.
Veteran actress Liu Dan was powerful as a mother that is traditionally biased but secretly caring. Sun Qian was perfect as a determined, strong and single minded young woman. But to me Zhang Xin Cheng was to one who nailed it all together. Not only because that was how his character was written, but because he played it so very well. He was 100% believable and relatable as the ever supportive Li Ran. Of course him being super handsome helps a lot but it was his speaking voice that was so perfect for the whole drama. When speaking, he managed to captivate and grab the audience attention, invoke feelings and that really seal the deal for the whole movie. Their chemistry were on point and with minimum contact and kissing scenes, they manage to get us rooted for their love. That there, were excellent acting.
To me this movie is a prefect 10 except for its music or songs. I am not a non speaking Chinese person so maybe I don't understand the songs to enjoy it but it wasn't the case sometimes. Anyway I still think this movie needs more love and support than what it is getting now.
EXTREMELY WORTH WATCHING.

A Timeless Love Story: The Emotional Journey of All These Years

This was truly the best Chinese film I’ve ever seen. Every element was flawless—the story, acting, music, and plot all came together perfectly. There was no loose end or lack of explanation; everything was beautifully crafted and thoroughly thought out. The ending was incredibly satisfying, bringing closure in a way that felt earned and authentic. The relationship between the couple was portrayed with such depth and tenderness, making it a highlight of the film. Every challenge they faced was handled with excellence, showing us profound truths about life and love. This movie is a powerful reminder of what it means to live and grow through both hardships and joy

A high school-to-adulthood unrequited love story

The script is tight, coherent. Beautifully sad and hopeful at the same time. The characters well rounded with very real problems based on actual contemporary issues, such as social classes and expectations based on gender, which makes it even more heartbreaking. You understand the decisions they are making are the best option for each other, even if it means being apart. Still, their love always makes them cheer for the other to become the best version of themselves.

Sun Qian and Zhang Xin Cheng’s chemistry in INSANE. Like, DAMN! Not once I didn’t believe in their performances or the story they were telling me. They carried the entire film flawlessly. Bravo.

I enjoyed every single minute of this film right up to the end, which left me with a chuckle and the biggest smile.

pretty good romance movie

i stumbled upon this movie randomly but truly didn't regret watching it. even though story was a bit cliche, the acting and the chemistry of the leads truly made up for it. i LOVED the highschool flashbacks. their romance, the dormitory, the music aspect of their relationship was especially CUUUUUTE ^^

Review of the film All These Years, in my opinion this is a very good film about romance and family.

Here it is told that Chen JianXia, a student from the village, gets accepted into a high school in the city because she is ranked first in the school in her village. In the city she meets Li Ran, a rich student who also goes to school there.

Chen JianXia and Li Ran both come from troubled families so they can understand each other and go through their daily lives together as students.

But when they were in college JianXia and Li Ran separated because JianXia studied abroad. A few years later they met each other again.

When watching this I cried when I was in the scent of her family because I also felt what Chen JianXian (played by Sun Qian) experienced who was opposed by her mother and her father's inability to defend her because her mother made decisions at home and in her life.

I like the romance between Li Ran and JianXia even though their relationship sometimes goes up and down, sometimes angry, sad, and disappointed Li Ran is still good to JianXia and only wants to do the best for JianXia.

In the end I also like it because it's a happy ending even though there's a lack of conversation between her mother and JianXia but in my opinion with her younger sister who is getting more mature who finally doesn't look for trouble with her older sister (JianXia) and JianXia knows that her mother cares about her even though she's often rude to her that's enough because in my opinion the wounds that were caused by her mother when she lived with her mother before can't be healed immediately it takes time and to change someone and people's thinking especially our mother who feels she's right is very difficult because I've tried and in the end it's still only us who are wrong and she herself is right.

I really like Li Ran's sentence telling JianXia to ignore them and be yourself. I think people like JianXia who have a problematic family or patriarchy find it very difficult to ignore the words of those closest to us such as our family, friends, or acquaintances sometimes we want to reply to their words sometimes we just listen silently but in our hearts it feels very painful and sometimes their words will fill our heads for days or even months. To be ourselves is also very difficult because even though we know what our likes are, what our weaknesses are, what our fears are, we are often forced to make choices that our families think are right and do not burden them.

Chen JianXia's life at school, he only focuses on studying and his cellphone contacts are only his family when watching this I feel grateful that JianXia met and even dated Li Ran. Because I really remember that I used to have many friends and didn't even have close friends because I wanted to focus on studying and my mother scolded me for often being close to my friends. So I also felt that Chen JianXia couldn't be close to school friends. In this film I also feel grateful that Chen JianXia, who was initially a quiet person and didn't want to explain anything when he was accused of being someone who dared to say what he wanted to say to people who made rumors about him. So I also hope that I can be as brave as Chen JianXia because I am the quiet one and don't want to explain to people when people make rumors or badmouth me. I also hope that I can meet someone like Li Ran who doesn't force me, helps me, will support whatever decision I make, and will always be by my side.

Unending love

It starts with their story unfolding in their highschool years and then shows the present. The entire movie had me hooked on the cinematography the cast everything was spot on. These are these type of movies that once u finish them it has you feeling warm and wanting to watch more almost like a hug on a cold winter night.
Their story is something to look forward too. I watched this movie with no expectations but it exeeded any expectation i could have set for it. Loved it till the end.

Its a beautiful story

If you’re looking for a romance movie with a happy ending, this is a great pick. I wonder why it took me so long to discover it!

A Quick Look at the Story (Minor Spoilers Ahead):
The movie follows a small-town girl from a middle-class family with little support as she fights to build a better life. No matter how many challenges come her way, she stands strong. But, as we know, life can be tough, and she finds an unlikely ally in a rich, spoiled boy. If you haven’t guessed already, they end up together—but how? You’ll have to watch the movie to find out.

Why This Movie Stands Out:
What made this movie special to me was the pacing and, most notably, the ending. It was epic. The story spans from school years to adulthood, weaving the pieces together seamlessly. The female lead (FL) is highly likable; her strength, determination, and character development are inspiring. By the end of the movie, you feel like you’ve witnessed Jianxia’s personal growth, which is the most rewarding part.

The male lead (ML) is kind at heart, and their school days' friendship blossoming into love is beautifully portrayed. The transition from friendship to romance feels genuine and heartfelt. As the ML once said, he was like a scarf to her: “She could use it when it was cold and put it away when days were warm and sunny.”

The ending is especially satisfying—not the typical tale of a poor girl marrying a wealthy man, but rather a strong, independent woman marrying a man in debt. It’s empowering, showcasing her journey and resilience. And there’s a touch of humor when the ML jokes, “You’ll have to sponsor our honeymoon!”

Final Thoughts:
This movie is impactful, leaving you with a feeling of hope and strength. For me, it’s a solid 9 out of 10.

Happy watching

Beautiful Emotional Romance Drama

First thing first, this film is a happy ending, unlike many Movies and Drama ive watched from this Genre!!!
This Movie is ultimately about Chen Jianxia, a girl who grew up in an environment where males were chosen over females which made her have low self-esteem and felt worthless other than doing well in school. That was until she met Li Ran, a defiant but kind-hearted boy, on her first day at Zhenhua High School, and he became the only dazzling spot in her life.
They both saved each other from different misfortunes in their lives however unfortunately had to part ways during their university years as Chen Jianxia wanted to from as far away as they could from her family.. It wasn't until they reunited years later that they recognised that they thought they had fallen in love with each other persistently, but in fact they really never felt out of love with each other or confess to each other.
Their story in movie was told in just a way that you could feel all their emotions. From frustrations to sadness, pain , lost and to love. Amazing chemistry from both actors and their acting was nothing but astounding
This drama Also fundamentally shows how a friendship grows between these two social opposites. And I was soo happy this was a happy ending because I’m a sucker for Romance lol. Defo a rewatch movie for me

"It's not that I've fallen in love again. In reality, I've never stopped loving you."

simple youth movie, that started way back in high school but were separated due to what we call "fate". however, life had other plans. they reunited amidst a very chaotic adulthood, yet love doesn't die that easily🥹 how heartwarming the story and the flow is smooth. i love the cast esp their chemistry, and the music made me feel more into the story. it have a good rewatch value mainly cause its a feel-good movie and cause of the lit cast. they really mean and help for each other. how was the feeling if loved with someone like Li Ran😢😭
