Another Revenge Story
For the first time, the ending of a Chinese drama actually surprised me. It was technically a classic finale, but Chinese dramas usually end with a happy ending or stay ambiguous. Honestly, even though the male lead died, it’s not a big deal because the leads have starred together in at least four different dramas.I really don't like the male lead's acting; it feels like he’s about to burst out laughing in every single scene. On the other hand, the female lead is very beautiful and her acting is actually good. I don't understand why they keep starring in so many dramas together when they don't even have any chemistry?!

I wish I could tell how much I love this drama I watched like 100 of cdramas but this one is my fav how could a drama being so GOOD even though its contain dramatic scenes and kinnda 18 plus I say this is my go to dramas the ML hot as always you might know and FL lead she was super pretty but I didn't like the ending girls please note HE DIED AT THE END it broke me tears and btw i didn't like the fact this story contains RAPE so uhmmmm be careful and just as there relationship gets better he got killed LIKE DIRECTORS PLEASEE oh btw guys just to tell u they ML and Fl have 2 more dramas together FOREVER LOVE and RAINKISSEDFACE and don't worry FOREVER LOVE and RAINKISSEDFATE have good endings but STILLL enjoy watching and BE PREPARED CUZ U WILL BE OBSESSEDWas this review helpful to you?
Cheesy but excellently told and executed
There are plenty of mach man, damsel in distress tropes in this short drama, but the cast do an excellent job keeping them grounded, meaningful and human feeling. I particularly like the scenography, lighting and camera work in this series, they made the most of the location. The main leads have incredible spark, the female lead Chen FangTong projects character growth from sheltered somewhat clueless to in charge of her life, while Dai Gaozheng as always broods well, projects the powerful military man well, and shows of his body (which is a treat even if cheesy). The plot devices are a bit thin and compressed by I've come back and watched this several times and every time it's a treat in setting and dynamic. Also it's nice to see some genuine-feeling desire on screen in Mandarin given its relatively chaste screen tradition. Chen fangtong work very well in that department, affection feels unforced, even the tug and pull of feelings and desire is wellportrayed.Was this review helpful to you?
This one is a Rotten Tomato
I blame myself for picking this one. GF usually takes the lead on what to watch. Like the dutiful BF, I sit, suffer, and watch with her while taking my potshots on her choices. I saw the review stars on MDL and didn't bother to read the description, reviews, and comments to even figure out what this was about.Wow, this doesn't get any worse and had to drop this one. I get it, some folks like that six pack the ML constantly flashes to the viewers. The dude is half naked for part of the time, I guess it saves on the costume budget for the drama. The FL is constantly getting beaten up or she's being forcibly grabbed by the ML. It definitely breaks some of the conservatism of mainstream Asian dramas for sure.
One can only take so much with BAD acting, story line, bad plotting, and bad production. I had to sit through this with potshots being thrown my way by the GF before I shut this whole thing down five minutes into the third episode.

Tv series’s short but sweet
I thought I wasn’t gonna like it cause of the short episode but I got into after 6 episodes I really like it.It’s about girls family getting shot in Republican Era, her fiancé saves her but she don’t know thats her fiancé and her maid pretends to be her.
There is love triangle. It’s only episode 6 so I’ll come back and write more but what I’m thinking she not gonna kill the governor cause she falls in love that’s match hutch I’ll write back lol .

It's so violent but the male lead is so hot
If you are into those revenge melodramas with a love-hate relationship and a domineering but sexy male lead then this drama might be worth your while.The plot is full of cliches that can draw you in. Tingyao has lived a sheltered existence as the only daughter of the Dong family and fiance of Fang Fuze (note: they never as adults). On the night her family was annihilated, she met Tianyi who she then blamed for the massacre. She went to the Fangs for help but to her shock, her half-sister was already there pretending to be her. Unable to provide proof of who she was, she was beaten but was saved by Fuze. She was then forced to become a maid in the house but was surprised once again when she came across her fiance's uncle, the governor that she thought would be able to help her, and discovered he was actually Tianyi! He took her to a bed to make it look like they slept together then announced that she's his personal maid. So by now she hates Tianyi and thinks Fuze is nice. But based on previews, what she didn't know was that Tianyi tried to stop the massacre but was too late and it actually Fuze who brought disaster to her family. The two men will fight for her attention while she tries to prove who she is and complete her revenge. I think she will definitely prove her identity and will try to marry Fuze while having complicated feelings for Tianyi.
The Republican setting gives an elegant feel. But while I understand that this was a violent time, I don't think it's necessary have over the top violence. I was shocked when the Tingyao was beaten until she bled just because she insisted that she's real daughter of the Dong family. I hope there won't be too much of this in future episodes.
The actors are good looking, Tingyao looks sweet and Tianyi looks fit. The preview I've seen of their kisses exudes chemistry. They seem to have a love-hate relationship. I just hope it won't be the usual toxic mess seen in other dramas of this time setting.
So for now I'll chase this drama but may drop it if my tolerance level can't take it anymore.

Yucky
The writing for the plot was very poor, the situations were completely contrived and did not make sense at all. You might think with "revenge" in the title that the FL would be strong or find her strength, but she is a damsel at best, and more honestly she is just continually a victim. This show has a very weird and gross worldview where it wants to portray a man's love as inherently violent and disregarding consent, and the entire experience is really disgusting.Was this review helpful to you?
Il protagonista, una vera rivelazione!!!
Nel complesso drama davvero carino e ben fatto…peccato per gli ultimi 5 minuti che rovinano praticamente tutto, motivo per il quale farò finta di non averli mai visti.Il protagonista è stato eccezionale, recitazione e presenza scenica impeccabili; ottima interpretazione anche della protagonista femminile.
Second mono espressivo e mamma/nonna non all’altezza del ruolo.
Decisione di dividere il drama in 30 episodi da 8/9 minuti sbagliata perché lo stacco tra un episodio e l’altro fa perdere, in un certo senso, la continuità della storia.

Bizim dizilere taş çıkartır
Bölümler kısa olması sebebiyle haftalık izletti kendini ama o kadar saçmaydı ki, bu dizinin senaryosunu yazan hadi yazamadı anladım, çeken dönüp biz ne çekiyoruz da mı demedi? Olayların açıklaması da bir o kadar saçmaydı. Kızın gözü önünde akrabasını öldürdü, açıklama akraba seni öldürecekti. Neden? Kıza ilk tanıştığı andan beri tecavüz etmeye çalışıyor ama aslında iyi niyetli(!) Kızı ilk gördüğü yerde yatağa attı. Kızın ailesini yakışıklı olmayan çocuk öldürdü, sadece ailenin yerini bildiği taşı almak için :D İşte bu kadar aklı var, mantık bu dizideki. Yakışıklı çocuk gerçekleri kızdan sakladı ve kıza ailesinin katillerini o normal insan olduklarını düşünürken vurdurttu :D Peki kızın kendine tecavüz etmeye çalışan ve ailesini öldürdüğünü düşündüğü çocuğa sürekli acıyıp yanına gitmesi? Kız da gerizekalı oğlan da. Yazarların akıllarıyla ilgili bir şey söyleyeceğim, hakaret kaçacak, o yüzden eleştirimi burada bitiriyorum.Was this review helpful to you?
raiva e amor
que serie foi essa ??????????????????.........................................tinha tudo pra ser perfeita uma historia de amor de 'dominação esubmissão' mais essa dong ting me deu muita raiva só fui sentir simpatia por ela no final que ela já tava mais esperta..................................fiquei esperando rezando pro meu marido aparece mais kd ????????????????? ................................................

Bel drama con troppi cliché e poi...
Ho iniziato nonostante sapessi già praticamente tutta la storia ma mi piaceva l'ambientazione e la locandina mi ha davvero incuriosito.La storia di per se non è affatto male un po' banale se vogliamo poi è raccontata un po' così,per non parlare di certi cliché che non potevano mancare anche un po' troppi, ma per fortuna non mi infastidisco più di tot.
E un storico con matrimoni combinati ,rivalità tra parenti e massacri famigliari.
Lei e lui molto belli e i loro momenti tira e molla fanno continuare a guardare il drama.Lui rude solo in apparenza lei un po' sciocca.Purtroppo i momenti di tenerezza sono comunque troppi pochi.
Il finale lo avrei preferito diverso.
Nel complesso visto che dura poco non mi è dispiaciuto guardarlo.
