ENGLOT FOREVER

Honestly, this show is so cheesy, I JUST LOVE IT.

For those of you that don't follow Miss Grand, that is absolutely okay! You have 2 girls that have great chemistry in every which way, it outlines the life of being a beauty queen and it shows the life of being not just that but a regular everyday person. It shows friendship, love, heartbreak and challenges all in one. I love the back stories, I love everyone together, I love everything about this tbh.

Engfa and Charlotte are doing amazing, they are naturally easy going and have wonderful chemistry in general so for the show to portray that for them, I love everything about that. The other girls as well, they're amazing friends in real life so just all of them together is a wild ride.

I'm a fan of the music lmao plus Engfa has a wonderful voice!

Because it's so quick and easy, it's worth rewatching. I go back and rewatch episodes often in general so I'm down for it.

Overall, I'm both glad and thankful that Miss Grand did this for these girls, I love the opportunities they give them and continue to help them grow as individuals so that's really what makes this worth it.

When in the mood for fluff and not much else

I’ll admit, I’m a little late to the party with this one. I kept putting it off after seeing so many negative reviews, but after some time, I finally decided to sit down and give it a try. Honestly, I went into it expecting to have to force myself through each episode, but surprisingly, I found it to be a pretty easy watch. In fact, I ended up binge-watching the entire series in a single day—something I didn’t expect at all.
Sure, there are definitely some plot holes, and there were moments where I wished they had explained things more clearly or focused on certain aspects a little longer. There were also a few storylines that could have used a bit more depth or attention. However, despite these flaws, I found myself enjoying it more than I anticipated. The drama is light, cute, and genuinely heartwarming. It’s the kind of feel-good story that, while not perfect, still manages to deliver a solid dose of warmth and charm.
One of the best parts of the show was the friend group dynamic. They were so endearing, and their interactions brought a lot of joy to the story. I loved seeing their friendships evolve and the moments of lightheartedness they shared. As for the acting, the supporting cast didn’t always hit the mark—there were some performances that felt a bit flat or overdone at times. But, on the bright side, the chemistry between the main leads, Englot, was undeniable. Their connection really carried the show and kept me invested in the plot, even when other parts were a little weaker.
All in all, while the drama wasn’t perfect, it definitely hit the spot when it comes to being a cute and easy watch. If I’m ever in the mood for a lighthearted drama to lift my spirits, I could definitely see myself rewatching this one. It’s far from groundbreaking, but it’s enjoyable, fun, and full of heart—perfect for those days when you just need something sweet and uplifting.

Gorgeous cast is not enough

The cast is absolutely stunning! As someone who has never followed any pageants, let alone foreign or international ones, I was quite surprised to learn that pretty much everyone competed in the Miss Grand Thainland / Miss Grand International! It also makes sense much more sense why they decided on the plot.

Meena & Cherine: I love seeing Engfa and Charlotte together on screen, I do think they have a lot of chemistry. Even if the show doesn’t give it a real chance. I really like the idea of Meena being this simple girl that makes it big. We often see her dress really casually and simple, her hair in a ponytail or an updo. It really moves away from that stereotypical idea of what beauty pageant contestants look and behave like. I do feel like the two, especially Cherine, act extremely childish when they are together. I did find it a bit annoying, e.g. their interactions in episode 8.

I do like the fact that the series addresses some problems related to the whole beauty pageant industry. Kudos to them for showing that mothers who force their children into such competitions at an early age can cause a lot of damage to their child’s self esteem and make them feel unworthy. It can go to the other extreme as well, but they focused on the lows in the series.

Sadly, I don’t think the plot and the way scenes were put together makes a lot of sense. This also makes the series feel both rushed and choppy at times, but also very confusing due to some jumps from the present to the past and back. Relating to that, what was the point of the pool scene? Fanservice? I don’t see how it actually connected to the story.

The “villains” seem kind of unnecessary to me. Maybe I am being too picky, but I feel like they didn’t really bring much to the plot. They simple took up time that could have been given to Meena and Cherine, showing us more of how their relationship develops.

The OST is nice though, and Engfa has a really nice and soothing voice.

Dropped the Ball

This show started off decent and honestly just went downhill from there. The first half or so was fine-- the acting isn't great throughout, but it's forgivable enough-- but once they actually got to the beauty pageant, it got so muddled and confused.

It was like the writers didn't know what story they were trying to tell, and in trying to tell a lot of things in a short amount of time they ended up telling us essentially nothing. There was a lot of focus on side characters that didn't matter and not enough focus on the ones who did, there wasn't a lot showing the actual beauty pageant or anything other than catty behavior that didn't really do much for the story. The timeline started to skip forwards and back, and we seemingly skipped over some important parts of Meena and Cherine's story. All in all, none of this felt cohesive. Many scenes just felt cobbled together, and often it felt like the writers forgot they were writing a romance. It was very clear that this was just a cash grab to capitalize on the Engfa and Charlotte's fans, and really there wasn't even an attempt to make it anything else.

Honestly, my rating should be lower, but it hurts my heart to rate one of the few GLs out there so low. Actually, I really wouldn't have stuck through this if it weren't a GL, or if it wasn't such slim-pickings when it comes to GL. It really wasn't worth my time-- honestly I wish I had just dropped it.

I would suggest people just skip this one and wait for 23.5 or Be Mine the series to air.

Honestly the series is not that good

i’m pretty sure a lot of the people watching it is engfa and charlotte fan watching it the series and supporting them but the series overall is not that great. Some part are just cringey and i feel like the directed just rush through it. And the the story is very confusing a lot of random side characters that is not needed and the whole series is just a mess. Also the episode is very short not that much to watch especially it feel like it was rush.

Would have gave it an even lower score but don’t want to since it a gl.
Tbh Gap the series is honestly way better.

Shipping Englot but this show didn't do them justice

The series had great potential, but it's been constantly having more and more flaws with each ep.
- TL:DR : cut scenes, cut stories, unmatching audio/vibe/FX, or fine details tune make cool moments feel a bit cringey.

so far counting for all the missed moments, it's been a let down on production part for me:
ep8 i witnessed some cringey moments ( all which could've been avoided with proper moment vibe setting with music and vfx).

Of course, taking in consideration all aspects they had to prepare for the show, it turns out ok,
but there are just more and more cuts in the story ( eg. the Grand finale is nowhere, their transition is skipped) plus the audio/video/key points rarely seem to match the vibe of the onscreen moment.

Maybe my OCD ruined the magic of this show, but they said good night and in the background, through the window the sun was shinning bright and high<-- fine details.
I adore and ship the girls and the crew's efforts are commendable , but i am sure, given the opportunity/time/resources this show could've gone bigger and better.
All in all i'm looking forward to see the finale, but also after the finale to find some good fan made edits, which i'm sure will raise the bar a bit on those rough edges.

Multi episode promo for Miss Grand Thailand

After a promising beginning with two likeable and engaging leads, what was billed as a romance devolved into a 9 episode paean to the Miss Grand Thailand (MGT) pageant. The upside is I learned a lot about MGT, the downside is I'm not particularly interested in MGT, and that isn't what I tuned in for.

The two mostly inexperienced actors, Charlotte Austin and Engfa Wahara, did a credible job of slogging through the script. Of course, they excelled at the pageant portions of the series, an accomplishment that was largely lost on me. For some inexplicable reason, someone (writer, director, actor) seemed to have unresolved issues with tall women, forcing Austin to trip over her own feet just to appear shorter than Wahara.

Aside from the focus on pageant life dragging the plot to a near standstill, the creators of this series exhibited a profound aversion to the characters kissing, to the point of employing thoroughly ridiculous avoidance mechanisms up until the final episodes. The result was that the considerable chemistry between Austin and Wahara was largely squandered.

Any popularity of Show Me Love is a testament to said chemistry and how starved for content the GL public is. The bar, it seems, is very low, and SML tripped over it anyway.

My honest review (●'▽'●)ゝ

I loved it!! The concept was amazing, the actresses were beautiful. Meena's voice is so angelic ♡
The plot isn't very deep but it's fun to watch! If you're thinking abt watching this, go for it. Don't expect a lot of drama and suspense and all though. This is a lighthearted and fun series. The chemistry between Englot is so good too.

I don't understand why ppl are giving such mixed reactions to this show. Sure they could have done better in some aspects but the thing you need to understand is that the thai GL industry is becoming more active only recently. There will be mistakes. Don't compare GLs to BLs because this is just the beginning!! With every GL that is released, there will be improvement. So pls support and watch ♡

A Tale of Love, Friendship and Woman Power!

“Show Me Love” is a story about girl power, sisterhood and falling in love. The acting is quite outstanding, and the actors are extremely comfortable in front of the camera and have great chemistry, which was refreshing to see (this has to be said because there are a lot of actors that get to lead series but are very stiff in front of the camera it’s uncomfortable to watch). Although the story itself is your run-of-the-mill romance story, it is not complicated, and the characters are able to talk through things to avoid any unnecessary prolonging of the story, which I quite appreciated. The chemistry between the leads was so compelling that even though a “special episode” was released to show the more intimate scenes, the scenes in which they were more oblivious of their feelings were much more captivating to the audience.

“Show Me Love” follows the story of Cherine (Charlotte Austin), a beauty pageant who has always dreamt of becoming a beauty queen but was discouraged by her past attempts and is thinking of giving up this dream, and Meena (Engfa Waraha), a village girl who runs away from home to the big city in pursuit of her dream of being a singer. Despite her talent, Meena sees that Bangkok is a tough city to succeed in, as her dreams of becoming a singer seem to be evading her every chance she tries. When Meena meets Cherine, her seemingly stuck-up neighbor, they do not immediately get along, however, this changes when Cherine and her friends witness Meena singing, and realize this talented and beautiful girl might be what their agency need in order to compete in the Miss Grand beauty pageant.

I wasn’t really planning to watch this show at first becoz they want you to pay a subscription fee to be able to watch it. But i decided to give it a chance when they released it for free after a few weeks i think. The first episode was pretty decent coz they atleast established a bit of a background for the main characters but it went downhill from there. I was honestly confused and disappointed at the story coz it looks like even the writers doesn’t even know where the story line is going and they were just going with the flow. I even saw 1 interview of the 2 main characters where they said that even they don’t know what’s up with the story coz to put it bluntly, the story line is crap and looks like someone just decided to make a beginning of a plot but didn’t actually finish it, hence the entire story line being all over the place. The acting of the 2 main roles was actually pretty decent for a rookie actor, but they probably would’ve done better if they were given an actual solid material to work on instead of this crappy story.
Would i recommend watching this? No. I would just suggest you watch a compilation of clips of their scenes together instead of subjecting yourself to long hours of watching and not getting the actual plot of the story. If they ever work together on a series again, i really hope they’ll be given a good story atleast.

Show Me Love: Englot’s chemistry shines amidst production challenges

The series is inspired by the true experience of the duo Englot, whose story captivated audiences during their participation in the 2022 edition of Miss Grand Thailand. Of course, this storyline is fictionalized for the sake of the script.

In terms of the plot, the core idea remains interesting. Show Me Love offers a glimpse behind the scenes of beauty pageants, notably through the lens of Miss Grand Thailand. This setting, rarely explored in depth, allows the series to address the expectations, pressures, and demands placed on the contestants, balancing competitiveness, public image, and rehearsed performances. This aspect could have provided a rich narrative playground, blending social critique with psychological development — unfortunately, it often remains only lightly touched upon and never fully exploited.

Moreover, the series clearly suffers from editing and storytelling issues. The episode cuts lack coherence, and transitions between scenes often feel rushed, as if moments were simply stitched together without real dramatic logic. This "patchwork" impression undermines the narrative’s fluidity: some scenes follow one another without clear connections, creating confusion that sometimes makes the story hard to follow. This lack of structural rigor weakens immersion and gives the impression of a rushed project, not fully controlled on a narrative level.

I have been a big fan of the Englot pairing since their meeting at Miss Grand Thailand in 2022. Their natural chemistry is undeniable: they share a rare, spontaneous, almost magnetic connection, which they know how to nurture and portray both in public appearances and daily interactions. This unique dynamic is one of the key reasons why Show Me Love is so endearing.

However, while their bond feels authentic, their acting in the series doesn’t always match the same intensity. At times, their performances fall short—sometimes too stiff, sometimes overly exaggerated—as if the sincerity of their personal relationship doesn’t fully translate on screen. There is clearly strong potential, but it remains untapped. Their presence is touching, yes, but it would have benefited from better direction and a more rigorous production.

Show Me Love had the potential to make a significant mark on the landscape of Thai GL dramas, especially thanks to the popularity of its lead duo. However, production and narrative issues hindered its full realization. That said, despite its flaws, Show Me Love remains a charming offering for Englot fans: an imperfect but heartfelt extension of the chemistry that so many admire.
