This was a cute drama. It's not a new or groundbreaking story, but it is charming. It has just the right amount of teen angst to be enjoyable without making you want to pull your hair out, and it is often very thoughtful and heartfelt in how it presents its characters and themes. I do think the second half of the story veers a little too far into the angst and drama department at times, but it's not to a degree that is excessive.I'm also mostly pleased with the messages the story conveys. The female lead lives with a lot of shame and regret as an adult and traveling back in time provides her with an opportunity for a do-over. But eventually, she realizes that she doesn't really belong in the past trying to fix all of its mistakes. Her life is back in the future. In coming to this realization, she decides it's time to make peace with her life rather than trying to change it. What she experienced in high school is part of who she was, which in turn influenced who she became, and she chooses to embrace that. My one complaint is that this realization and decision should have been accompanied with the acknowledgement that she is an adult, and that makes her different from her teenaged friends. As a 29-year-old woman, she's at a very different place in life then a 17-year-old would be. She has more wisdom and maturity, and her goals and desires are very different. It is simply not tenable for her to date a 17-year-old boy and have a 17-year-old best friend. Even in her 17-year-old self's body. So if there were one aspect of this drama I would change, it would be that.
Admittedly, the writers did create a plot hole in their story and their time-travel mechanics in the last couple of episodes that has already created some confusion for some viewers. My recommendation is to ignore the plot hole and just go with what the story gives you. For some stories, the science fiction/fantasy elements are meant to follow strict rules as part of the storytelling/world-building. For other stories, they are meant more to serve the narrative of the story, and if some rules are broken in the process, it doesn't really matter. This drama is in the latter category, and for my part, I think that's fine. The plot hole is not enough to break the world or the narrative, so I don't consider it a major flaw.
This drama was sweet and easy to watch, and I would recommend it.

Not too bad for a time travel plot!
I read a lot of bad comments about this 1! But imo the story was really good, except last 8 mins of episode 10! They just needed a wrap and ended it anyway they could without really making it believable at all!The love story was nice, but there was no chemistry between those two main leads at all!
They also cast aside and trampled upon the second female lead's feelings completely! She was a sweet girl in love with that guy since long back! Just because a new girl showed up, she gave up on her first love in favor of her friendship: it's absolutely heartbreaking!
Though J Dorama tend to be low rated, they have nice plot, this 1 had truely great potential for an awesome ending! But trust them to ruin the end, like they always do!!!

A typical Japanese high school romance
A typical Japanese high school romance but I love them so idc.ML was an ass in the beginning and that image of him sorta stuck to me until the end. Although he had sort of redemption, knowing his heart was ugly was a little disappointing.
FL was likeable but spending 12 years sulking over a rude asshole and trying to woo him again is crazy work, girlie- have some self respect pls. Her slow character development was nice to watch and I liked how her personality towards the end was- someone who appreciated all that she had and acknowledged all her hard work.
Plot was nothing new but was executed well so I enjoyed watching. Bingeable- I binged in 2 days.

for the most part it was okay
im a big fan of supernatural / sci-fi romcoms, so when i read that this j-drama has time travelling as a part of its plot i decided to watch it.I'd say for the most part it was okay / cute ! except for the part that after FL time travelled back to 2010 (her highschool days) she was still attracted to ML who was 17 at that time (FL was basically 29 but since she time travelled she's back to being 17).
also, kaoru annoyed me because she wanted FL to be miserable just bcs her life is miserable (i know what she did is what caused FL to time travel but still).
i also want to add that the characters were pretty good but the chemistry wasn't that good. sure they looked cute but it just felt weird and awkward 😭 idk sorry 🥹🥹
so yeah, if you're into time travelling stuff then you should give this one a try (the plot is really good and the loop was just perfect) ! but keep in mind that it's not the type of jdrama that will make your heart flutter lol but it was a nice watch (might i add that ML is cute so yeah lol)

Stereotypical with a twist but not my cup of tea
Firstly, I did enjoyed the witch plot line and how that created the twist. However I did not enjoy the main actress, she didn’t do that great of a job and tbh the male lead’s character was also quite confusing. Tbh the second female lead- her best friend was more likable than the main lead herself. And I was more interested in what would of happened if the second female lead and the male lead got together.Overall, it was a good drama to watch while doing other things. Interesting parts in some episodes but the rest mediocre.

Was this review helpful to you?
