Script was boring and unbelievable after episode 30

As usual the innocent face guy was the villain, the script was unoriginal after episode 28, i get that emotions were out of whack when hearing your wife to be may be your sister, but how do you forget a major investigation, especially when you were almost killed. The drama started strong but midway its like they changed the scriptwriter and replaced with someone who didn't have common sense. Main female lead was good until episode 30 then she got weak and stupid, especially for someone running a multi-million company. She added nothing to the show. The actress that played the part was ok. The main male lead was good until said episode. And then it seems like he turned into an idiot. The chairman was a skirt chasing idiot. The mistress was the only one who stayed true and was interesting. I actuall started fast fowarding a lot of parts because they were boring.

Beautiful cast but the mood is tense

The drama started out well with the strong cast, very photogenic and had great chemistry.
The mood between the couple is quite tense at the beginning. Everyone is having their own agenda.
Like many couples in the real world, the main couple is always so proud. They love each other but must pretend that they don't. This game, while playing with their feelings, is quite fun.

Xu Nuo has a fire burning lamp on her bed stand literally signaling her burning desire to win. Her jealousy is cute.
Shen Jia He always cares about Xu Nuo , he's very protective of her but she always gives him an attitude due to past misunderstandings. They eventually confessed their true feelings and everything was good again.

The thing about this drama is there are many forced kisses, it's easy to understand because it's a remake of a slap kissed Thai drama. Fan Zhi Xin suffered quite a bit of slaps to the point that he needs to ice his cheek.

The story took a bad turn after episode 33. I suffered with the couple and wasn't able to recover fully after this.
Overall, it's still worth a watch if you're a fan of the cast.

This is the summary of the their love game. It contain spoilers so don't read it if you don't want to know exactly what happened.

As Shen Jia He softens around episode 6, he started saying: "I can do anything for you." Xu Nuo started pressuring him with "Do you love me? Do this for me." Fan Zhi Xin is very good with these emotional scenes.

Episode 7 is the turning point for the couple emotionally. The outfit she wears in the morning made it so funny. She's still so proud at this point.

By episode 9, they're still playing with each other's feelings.

By episode 10, both are trying to cope with each other's lies but reach breaking point by episode 11. Love without trust can't last. That’s the lesson XN’s mom taught her.

After he saved her in episode 12, Xu Nuo started to change in episode 13. She tried to seduce him and it’s fun to watch.

Episode 14 is when he retreats slightly...but found his answer from the answering book. It said to trust your first instinct. If you're too greedy, you'll lose everything. He decided to pick her and cleared their misunderstandings.

Episode 15 is when he says he loves her, only her and leave it up to her to give him an answer. Her true feelings were revealed when she thought he was in danger.

I'll try to update the game progress up until episode 33 :)

Interesting cast but unlikeable main characters & soapy storyline

I had high hopes for this drama because I am a fan of Wang Zu Yi and Cheng Cheng and enjoyed Fan Zhi Xin's acting in Be Your Knight. I understand that this drama is an adaptation of a Thai drama - that's why the episode count is high for a mini drama. However after watching 20 episodes and a month long pause, I decided to drop this series.

What I liked:
1. Gao Hao En - His character is the best in the show. He was ML's unofficial therapist! Cheng Cheng was perfect in this role.
2. Visuals - I must admit that He Rui Xian and Fan Zhi Xin made a visually stunning couple.
3. Back stories - I appreciate that writers created back stories for Xu Ming Li and Bai Xia so their characters are more of substance.
4. Support roles - I liked Min Xing Han & Wang Xin - was pleasantly surprised when the latter appeared on screen.

What I disliked:
1. Romance - There was a good sexual tension between FL Xu Nuo & ML Shen Jia. However their on & off relationship is tiresome.
2. FL characterisation - She was interesting at the start because of her plans to secure her position in the company. However she came off like a petulant heiress who made a big fuss when she didn't get things she wanted. She never planned properly & was easily distracted by ML. I couldn't relate to her but there was one time that I sympathised with her.
3. Length - 54 episodes are too many for a mini drama. They should have cutdown on the misunderstanding & communication breakdown.
4. Chi Ye characterisation - As I said earlier, I like Wang Zu Yi very much so I was letdown by his character's arc. The writers could have made him a formidable love rival to ML like Korean drama Boys Over Flowers (Team Yoon Ji Hoo here!) but from the start, Chi Ye was never given a chance. What a wasted potential!

Favourite scene
Whenever Cheng Cheng appeared on screen

All this vitriol

Can't get past episode 4. The FL being a very aggressive, bitter, vengeful person is extremely unappealing and hard to watch. Generally, you would want to start a drama series with something, possibly positive, appealing to hook your audience to become interested and to like the characters. Here this series starts with a ridiculous Spanish tango between two feuding siblings ( how tacky is that?). Then continues with a violent, aggressive, vindictive entitled girl trying to ruin everything for everyone. Can't continue to watch something so awful and depressing, FL is definitely unlikeable and don't want more of her vitriol.
Life is short, love C dramas that are positive with likeable characters and intelligent storyline. A big NO for me.

Pri scéne kde v noci kričí a plače v záhrade mi nabiehali zimomriavky a mala som chuť robiť všetky tieto veci spolu s ním.

A čo mi najviac vadilo? Herecký výkon He Rui Xian. A to malo byť práve hlavným ťahákom Game of True Love.

Miestami doslova a do písmena až prepálené.
No musím uznať, že hlavného záporáka dobre skrývali. Netipovala som to naňho, až kým neprišli prvé náznaky.

No to sa už asi nedozvieme... Každopádne sme sa aspoň dočkali šťastného konca.

ZHRNUTIE : Zaujímavý, sympatický hlavný hrdina v kombinácii s neznesiteľnou hlavnou hrdinkou. Priemerné OST, ale vcelku dobrý príbeh a zápletka. Dráma má potenciál udržať diváka v napätí od začiatku do konca, no napriek tomu mi tam chýbalo niečo, čo by ma istým spôsobom viac oslovilo.
