Perfection
You Are My Fateful Love is a heartfelt romantic drama that explores how unexpected circumstances can bring two completely different people together. What begins as a relationship built on coincidence and obligation gradually transforms into something genuine and deeply emotional. The story does a good job of showing how love doesn’t always start perfectly, but can grow through patience, understanding, and shared experiences. One of the strongest aspects of the drama is its character development. The female lead starts off as someone underestimated and overlooked, but over time she gains confidence and strength. Watching her growth feels rewarding and realistic. The male lead, on the other hand, begins as distant and emotionally guarded, but slowly becomes more open and caring. Their journey together feels natural, even with the misunderstandings and conflicts that arise along the way.
The drama also balances humor and emotion effectively. There are many lighthearted moments that make the story enjoyable, but it doesn’t shy away from serious themes like heartbreak, responsibility, and personal growth. This mix keeps the story engaging and relatable.
However, at times, the pacing can feel slightly slow, especially in the middle episodes where misunderstandings are repeated. Some plot developments may also feel predictable, especially for viewers familiar with similar romance tropes. Despite this, the emotional payoff towards the end makes it worth watching.
Overall, You Are My Fateful Love is a touching drama that highlights the idea that love can come from the most unexpected situations. It’s a story about growth, forgiveness, and the power of fate, making it a satisfying watch for fans of romantic dramas.

It was an emotional, beautiful, natural, playful, hilarious and a very sweet drama. I thoroughly enjoyed being with the main leads in their journey, sipping my cuppa leisurely, without skipping a single scene., thereby appreciating the little nuances and details which I would have otherwise missed. It was calming and healing for me.The dialogues, OST, visuals, bgm everything fitted nicely with the story.
The second couple were good too. I'm so pleased that they had a good ending too.
Li Shi Can! As much as I felt annoyed with him in those few episodes in Shenao, in the latter episodes I began to warm up to him😭😭. In fact I enjoyed the comedy he provided with Xu Huaisong.
Editor Chen was a surprise 😂
The cute highschoolers, the Ruan family, Xu family, the lawyer colleagues, Sun Miaohan and the rest of the supporting cast 💖
This drama is simple and delivers what it is supposed to, that is, mutual secret crush transitioning to mutual love through deep understanding , trust, shared vulnerabilities, communication.
No less than 10/10
Will definitely be in my rewatch list and the place to go to when I need that extra tlc
Recommended for romance drama lovers.
Not for people who like intense stories, complicated plots, multiple plot twists, toxic relationships.
Definitely not for those who critically appraise C dramas like a research paper 🤣🤣

My take- watch it for entertainment, for comedy, for visuals, for a low stress plot, sweet chemistry, slow burn nostalgic romance.
The best part is that there is no rush, all stories (including the support characters ) have a conclusion. The highlight is the proposal and wedding which most C dramas rush. Here it is done elegantly so we feel their joy and when their story ends we come out of their world feeling happy.
For viewers who like a slow-burn character driven love story (we can say slowest of the slow-burn until episode 24 when they confess and then its all sweet and fluffy moments making it worth the wait) it is recommended.
For Miles Wei fans who have been waiting since You Are My Secret (July 2024) for a romcom of his, (probably the last one of this kind from him) this is a must watch!
For anyone who have watched him in Flourished Peony and Love Beyond The Grave who want to see him in a green flag role.
It delivers exactly what it promises: a fluffy, satisfying romance with a definitive happy ending.
Realistic rating 8-8.5

Sweet Mutual Crush to Mutual Love Story ?
OMG, okay, I just finished it and I am LITERALLY screaming! 😭💖 It is so cute, it gave me actual butterflies! Here is why you HAVE to watch it, from a totally obsessed perspective:
• The "Long-Time Crush" Vibes: Ruan Yu (FL) is writing a novel based on her high school crush, and then—PLOT TWIST—she hires that same dude, Xu Huaisong (ML), to be her lawyer! It's that "I knew you when we were kids" energy but they are adults now! 👩❤️👨
• Miles Wei is TOO MUCH: Okay, I know dude is famous for being a "cold CEO," but here? He is so gentle and smart. The way he looks at her? 🫠 He is like a protective puppy, not just a boss.
(BTW, love love love Miles Wei! I swear dude is THE best for romantic ML roles 😭😭
• Hilarious Besties: The two best friend dudes are actually comedic genius. Their fast-talking banter in the background is the best part of some episodes, LOL. 🤣
• Visuals & Vibe: It’s super "fluffy" and lighthearted. Perfect for when you want a break from super dramatic stuff. Plus, the scenes with the "video call imagination" are actually pretty clever! 📱🎆
Cons? Ugh, the mid episodes dragged a bit with the "I’m not telling you I remember you" thing! I was literally shouting "JUST TELL HER!" at my screen! 😤 But it's worth it for the fluff later 💋😘
Overall Rating: 9/10 Butterflies 🦋—definitely watching again just for the cute scenes. Go watch it!!

Beautiful Funny Drama! Watch It!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Belated Joy Worth Every MinuteYou Are My Fateful Love is the kind of drama that reminds you why you fell in love with the genre in the first place. This sweet, charming romance follows Ruan Yu and Xu Huaisong — two people who secretly carried a crush on each other through high school, only to reunite a decade later under the most unexpected circumstances. The result is pure magic.
What immediately stands out is the production quality. The cinematography is absolutely stunning — feels intentional and beautiful. The costumes are equally impressive, adding an elegance that perfectly complements the tone of the story.
The casting is spot-on. Miles Wei and Zheng Hehuizi have effortless chemistry, and the supporting cast holds their own with memorable performances that keep the story fresh. The writing strikes a wonderful balance — funny and light-hearted in the right moments, yet genuinely moving when it counts. The humor lands naturally without ever feeling forced.
What keeps the story engaging is its stream of unexpected twists and layered characters. Just when you think you know where things are headed, the drama finds another clever way to surprise you, all while maintaining a pace that never drags. This is not a show that overstays its welcome.
Whether you’re a long-time C-drama fan or just dipping your toes in, You Are My Fateful Love is a delightful, feel-good watch that delivers on every front. A beautiful story, beautifully told.

Miles wei did not disappoint. I missed seeing him in modern drama as the rich, cold, aloof lead and glad this one was worth the wait. Sweet slow burn cozy watch. Also laughed a lot even though didn't expect it to be a comedy. May not be your cup of tea if your not patient with the romance but its beautiful to me and all about returning to love and not falling in. Though i didn't like how the leads kept secrets for so long.
Highly reccomend for Miles Wei lovers!!!!

Beautiful Story, Frustrating Execution — A Slow Burn That Waits Too Long
You Are My Faithful Love tells a genuinely beautiful story about fate, and at its core, it really does feel like a classic romcom. The premise is strong, the storyline is interesting, and there’s something very warm and enjoyable about the overall vibe of the show. It’s the kind of drama that should work perfectly—and in many ways, it almost does. The cast is honestly one of its biggest strengths. The characters are lovable, the actors do a great job, and the chemistry is definitely there. I enjoyed all the dynamics, not just the main couple. The second leads were actually one of my favorite parts—they got together early, their relationship felt natural and electric, and they brought a fun energy that the main storyline sometimes lacked. The sister storyline and the best friend dynamics were also really enjoyable and added a lot of heart to the show.
But the biggest issue—and really the only major issue—is the writing.
This drama had so much potential to be amazing, but the writing just drags it down. The pacing is messy and frustrating. It starts off well, but then you hit the middle stretch and it just… stalls. By episode 15, barely anything has happened. By episode 20, you’re still waiting. For a 30-episode romantic drama, that’s a huge problem.
What makes it more frustrating is that the main conflict feels unnecessary. Both leads clearly like each other—they know they like each other—so why drag it out for over 20 episodes? It doesn’t feel like tension, it just feels repetitive. There was no real reason for the male lead to wait that long to confess, and when he finally gains the confidence, it almost feels random rather than earned.
And by the time they do get together… you’re kind of over it.
That’s honestly the biggest disappointment. After waiting for so long, you barely get to enjoy them as a couple. Instead of giving us proper romantic development, the show suddenly shifts tone—introducing more of a crime-solving/lawyer angle right when we should’ve been getting relationship payoff. It feels like a missed opportunity. I kept thinking how much better it would’ve been if they had gotten together earlier and faced everything together instead of separately. Watching them grow as a couple would’ve been far more satisfying than watching endless almost-confessions.
There are even moments that feel unnecessarily frustrating—like when you think they’re finally about to get together early on, only for a new female lead dynamic to interrupt things out of nowhere. It just adds to that “why are we still dragging this?” feeling.
That said, it’s not a bad drama—it just requires a lot of patience. It’s a very slow-burn romance, maybe too slow for its own good. But it still has charm. It’s heartwarming, it’s fun in parts, and it’s easy to like because of the characters.
Also, I really enjoyed seeing Miles Wei in this kind of role. He always does well as a CEO, but here it felt lighter and less heavy than usual, which was refreshing. He still shines, just in a more relaxed way.
For me, the show was sitting at around an 8/10 for most of its run—but the final episode, especially the wedding, bumped it up to an 8.5. It gave just enough emotional payoff to remind you why you stuck with it.
Overall, You Are My Faithful Love is a drama with great characters, strong chemistry, and a beautiful concept—but held back by frustrating pacing and writing choices. It’s comforting and heartwarming, but you’ll probably spend a good part of it wishing things had happened sooner.

Chemistry is Chemistrying all the way
Subjective Gut Rating: 8.25I love the chemistry between all the actors in “You Are My Fateful Love”. And I am not just talking about the romantic chemistry between the leads, but actually everyone.
**ML + FL - great chemistry from high school to adulthood; slow burn romance but full of fluff towards the last 10 eps
**2ML + 2FL - funny pair and I LOVE the scene when 2ML poured his heart out, thinking it’s going to be a sad ending.
**ML + 2ML - these buddies are hilarious. They are so fun and I would watch their scenes all day long
**FL + 2FL - awesome supportive sismance in life and in the workplace
**Familial relationship - ML + sister, FL + parents, FL + ML’s sister = everyone is so adorable and supportive. The best family you can ask for
**Sis and her BFF/BF - young and cute together
The characters are the best part of the drama. We have two green flag MLs, but they are not boring. ML is smart, but petty. 2ML is sweet yet emotional. The girls are not without flaws, but are so likable. The two romance storylines are different but enjoyable in their own way.
The main romance is slow burn, but their high school stories are slowly revealed. If you are patient enough, you will be rewarded with a lot of sweet and romantic moments. “You Are My Fateful Love” is not one of those dramas with a rushed happy ending. It spends a great deal of time in the last couple episodes to show you this is a true romantic comedy.
Having said all this, why am I not rating this higher? It’s not a perfect drama. The plot could be written a little tighter. We could probably shorten the drama to about 24-26 episodes. The slow burn is really slow burn for a rom-com. Towards the end, you know ML’s father's story and why they moved to San Francisco will be shown. Yet, the way it’s done somehow breaks the rom-com feel and becomes a half-baked law/crime story. Although I applaud the actors for speaking English and not getting dubbed, it was still quite hard to understand. I like many songs in this drama, but some songs are overplayed. You also get the typical cheesy rom-com bright white light during a kiss scene, romantic music playing and slow motion twirling.
I did have a pretty good time watching “You Are My Fateful Love”. This is a good drama to watch if you want a low stress romantic comedy to kill time. Fans of Miles should not miss his handsome face and awesome kisses. In the end, my heart tells me 8.25 is probably the highest I can give because I like the chemistry and the characters so much, and the actors are not dubbed.

Cute show but a bit draggy
Honestly the show started off really strong, I was really invested in their story but as the show progresses, it just gets more boring. I really love slow burn romance but I feel this is way too slow even though they wrapped up the ending really nicely and it’s really cute, I even love the second lead’s story but I feel the middle part was really unnecessary especially when they went to the villageWas this review helpful to you?

a beautiful mutual unwavering crush
at first i thought this drama was like any other crush drama small memories from the past with leads getting together at the present but this was diffrent the present and the past hits the same multiple times we watch both the past and the present at the same time we even saw the FL predicting that the ML liked her back then while writing her novel espically the holding hand scene the ML hold the FL hands and instead of confessing hes crush he just said sorry wrong person while hiding a deep feeling only he knows about a feeling even 12 years couldnt make that feeling dissapear i wanna talk about the leads and the acting and how good the chemistry is honestly the kissing scenes wasnt too much after leads only got together at ep 24 sadly like a mutual crush story couldve been much earlier but they choose to make a new full slow burn for leads while returning to their old flames a flame that was cooking on a very low speed until they met together and that flame got even bigger and bigger the FL finally got to know the real ML the warm one instead of the cold and aloof one he was predicting to be and honestly if the ML never faked that personna and was real with the FL from the start maybe their interactions at the start wouldve been much smoother instead of many awkward scenes between them this ML acting is always top i remeber i watch you are my secret and he was good there too but honestly this drama did make 6 ep alomst fully focused on the ML and the FL but you are my secret did a much better job presenting the ML and FL dating and kissing even tho it was a one sided crush from the ML like there even tho it was a one sided crush they got together at ep 10 or smthing like that and the drama was 32 ep long with full growth of both the ML and the FL but overall I REALLY LIKED THIS DRAMA i was a bit dissapointed that they only got together at ep 24 but those last few ep already did the job espically their wedding night like it was like 3 or 4 min of them kissing this drama really hits diffrent butttt i really wouldve loved to see a time skip with their child and maybe second couple also get married (the ML bestfriend and the FL bestfriend) and maybe the ML sister and her friend confess and also get together we see the succese of the ML after comming back to china and the succese of the FL novel all over the world and the perfection of its adaption yes i really recommend this one dont give it up from the 15 ep the best ep are the last phew ay alomst forgot the story had sm thrill without drama between the couples the thrill was external tho this was one of the reason i liked this drama neither the second male lead neither the second female lead did anything to destroy the main couple relationship maybe a few tries from the second female lead but was a complete failure after the ML liked the FL for 12 years hes love cant be on impulse as she saidWas this review helpful to you?
Wasted potential that deserved better, but cute!
It had all the elements to be something truly beautiful, but it feels like MangoTV didn’t let it reach its full potential. The story and the emotional base are there, and you can clearly see what it could have been, especially in the softer, more meaningful moments, but something always holds it back from fully landing. The pacing and execution make it feel a bit restrained, like it never dares to go deeper when it should. I still enjoyed it overall, and the chemistry kept me watching, but I couldn’t stop thinking about how much more it could have been. I also wish we had seen more of the other two couples, because they added something interesting but weren’t explored enough.
I’ll definitely be waiting to see Wei Zheming in another drama, because he deserved a stronger project.

A beautiful love story, dragged out unnecessarily
Okay so I usually don’t write reviews, so I’m sorry if this is messy but I have to speak my mind. The plot itself is good, but nothing special - two youths fall for each other, but they both think the other one doesn’t even know about their existence and no one confesses. So years later they meet because our heroine is accused of plagiarism and our male lead is handling her case. The novel that our fl is accused of plagiarising is written by the sister of the ml, because she found her brother’s old phone and read his notes about the fl. I love this storyline and it would’ve been sooo interesting if our mains had better communication and didn’t take like 23 episodes to get together You know when a drama is 30 episodes you’d expect the main leads to confess around episode 15/16…Also 30 episodes for a normal romcom without many arcs and basically no villains (except for that one bad man in the last episodes and that girl that was obsessed with the fl’s friend) is wayyyy too much in my opinion. This story easily could’ve been executed within 22/24 episodes only if our mains acted their age earlier and talked everything out. Because tell me whyyyy the ml didn’t confess earlier🤔 Sure, because we have to get some drama and comedy they played around a bit, we got some bickering and stuff, but the ml knew that the fl liked him back then, he could’ve easily sat her down, told her what actually happened and they would’ve been together in episode 15 😭😭😭 Instead the fl had to be kept
In the dark and try to figure out who the hell wrote almost the same novel as hers, get hated on and in the end she accepted the ml and his sister’s apology so quick? I would’ve been fuming 😀 Still, I love the actors and as I already said I like this story, I like the side characters too but this drama definitely didn’t need 30 episodes.
I’m giving it an 8 because the story itself is good and the actors also did good, I also recommend it because some people might be okay with such a dragged confession, it’s just that I had to wait every day for a new ep and each day I sat in anticipation for the ml’s confession and I ended up being disappointed every time…🥲 So with all the episodes out, for the people that will watch it now, just know that it takes the mains quite a lot of time to clear up their misunderstandings. 😅😅
