Could've been done better

I'm always happy to see more thriller or different genre bl so when i heard of this i knew I'd try it.
Started it then about 5 minutes again felt like i needed to stop, didn't try again for a few days.
Very overly dramatic and not often in a good way.
As for the main couple it felt like decent chemistry (though alot of staring and flirting when someone's niece has died) until like halfway through and i just started feeling dissatisfied.
The repetitive will he won't he betray him and sell off the recording annoyed me too.
It was interesting having a dark lawyer charecter but they didn't really do the idea justice.
The secondary couple had potential, the bodyguard was obviously smitten but it seemed to just suddenly happen though with no weight to it, no connection. Similar can be said about the main couple becoming a thing, it was almost like the tension they tried to build up just fell pretty much flat.
Overall i was entertained for about 4 or 5 episodes then i just got more and more disappointed.
Not really attached to any charecters here and i don't see myself rewatching this.

Lawful Manners of Deadly Attraction

This title was supposed to be a (poor) homage to Manner of Death aka one of my favorite crime Bls to this day.

Laws of Attraction was all over my dashboard and timeline for MONTHS, so I did have quite some expectations. I was hoping that this could be the Manner of Death of 2023. The premise was very interesting and I did enjoy the first episode. Though, the show didn't manage to keep up my interest throughout the other seven episodes. I'm not entirely sure if I want this show to be longer to flesh out some characters and arcs or if I need this show to fix the pacing and speed things up and use the gained time more efficiently. I'm not super nitpicky about the fight scenes, the VFX/CGI and other stuff, but the budget was noticeable. This show reminded me a lot of Manner of Death, the amount of times they get beat up or chased and almost killed is nearly identical. The acting was also a little over the top or stiff. The main couple was nice in theory but Tinn seemed a bit too good for Charn. Like there was no "okay they are both unhinged, I can see it work". On one hand you have squeaky clean goody-two-shoes big bro and on the other hand you have a corrupt lawyer who has no issue faking evidence and putting innocent people behind bars and burning down houses to get what he wants. I feel like Charn had great potential but was screwed over by the writing and pacing of the show. The side couple managed to steal my heart. What can I say, I am a sucker for the bodyguard trope. Though I gotta admit, that I did struggle with Thaenthai quite a lot in the first few episodes. Specifically his apathy and disregard for other people and their death. But his character arc and storyline was interesting. The execution was fine, nothing groundbreaking or new, but fine. The sapphic couple was a nice addiction though very minor. The scene about marriage equality was brief and a little too on-the-nose, but I liked it nonetheless.

Emmmmm

I just started and although I have read the “good reviews” so far this is not giving @ all. Of course the main lead can’t die in ep1 but like seriously, the brother of the dead guy shooting all those shots and not even one bullet grazed him especially in such close proximity, puh-lease and then the push from our other lead, who shocker, materialized out of nowhere, I don’t even know if it was a push or a hit and the guy just flew so dramatically. I will keep watching and hopefully all those “good” reviews were actually onto something. Fingers crossed.
I will update my rating after watching.

Тот самый случай, когда я говорю да. Два главных актера Филм и Джэм, которые творят чудеса. Да все актеры здесь были настолько естественны и прекрасны сыграны, что даже злодея ненавидишь всеми фибрами души, хотя актер Нот Ворарит по другим ролям, всегда душевный и добрый. Актерская игра восхищает всех. Даже детей. Филм, с его проигрыванием эмоций. Он может в одно мгновение превратиться из хладнокровного и хитрого адвоката в влюбленного щенка. Какое удовольствие видеть его здесь. Романтика между героями, невероятная химия. Актеры бабушка (Дундао Чарунинда), Майя (Силви Павида), два молодых актера Си и Перл - все невероятны. Экшн-сцены правда, были смешные. Этот взрыв офиса -просто заставил смеяться до икоты. Учитель тхэквондо дерется как начинающий. Второй парой мы насладились мало к сожалению. О ненависти отца к сыну и вечной психологической травле своего ребенка - мы узнаем лишь в конце, это было эмоционально, но я не поддержу ребенка (Си) в прощении отца, я с радостью приму его смерть. Потрясающая криминальная драма. Рекомендую к просмотру. Прекрасные осты в исполнении актеров данного лакорна. У меня уходит в любимые.

Lorsque Loi(s)/Charn et Attraction/Tinn s'attirent...

En ce moment, de nombreux BL thaï semblent se concentrer davantage sur l’intrigue que la romance. Laws of Attraction possède la même direction avec une intrigue qui mêle mystère, enquêtes, corruption et quête de vérité. Bien que l’histoire ne soit pas parfaite et possède quelques failles, l’enchaînement reste cohérent et l’écriture correct. Laws of Attraction trouve notamment tout son potentiel dans son duo principal.

Je ne vais pas m'attarder des heures sur l'intrigue. Elle n'est pas parfaite. Il est aussi facile de remettre pas mal de points en question. Cela dit, c'est franchement honnête et correct sur le reste. Si les motivations de quelques personnages est discutable, que le méchant est une caricature sans surprise, l'ensemble fonctionne avec un bon rythme qui permet de ne jamais s'ennuyer. Cela dit, si l'intrigue fonctionne autant, c'est aussi grâce à ses personnages, notamment son duo principal.

Charn (Film Thanapat Kawila) est un avocat qui assume pleinement son statut. Véritable tête à claques aux sourires narquois, Film prend les traits de son personnage et nous l’offre sur un plateau d’argent. Parfois, il était hautain à souhait, alimentant le mépris envers lui, avant d'être déroutant lorsqu'il se montrait vulnérable. Si l’acteur est parfois dans un léger surjeu, le reste de sa performance accroche et donne envie d’en découvrir plus. Mention spéciale à son passé qui apporte vraiment du corps au personnage, bien que je me demande si l'homme n'est pas fait de titane.

De l’autre côté, Tinn (Jam Rachata Hampanont) est son opposé. Il vit noblement et est animé par un sens aigu de la justice avec un amour profond pour sa nièce. C'est un personnage touchant avec des épaules solides qui ne recule devant rien pour obtenir justice. Côtoyer Charn va le pousser à voir une partie du monde différemment, bien qu’il ne s’éloigne jamais de l’honnêteté qui a forgé l’homme qu’il est. Jam nous dévoile un personnage charismatique et fort d’émotions au regard de feu.

À aucun moment l’un éclipse l’autre, au contraire. Charn trouve son apogée dans la lumière et le regard des autres. Contrairement à Tinn qui préfère agir dans l’ombre et ne nourrit pas le besoin d’avoir des spectateurs. Pour cette raison, s'ils sont solides indépendamment l'un de l'autre, ensemble ils ont chacun un rôle bien précis qui est en adéquation avec leurs personnalités respectives.

Au sujet de la romance… Le jeu de séduction entre Tinn et Charn était très bon. Ma scène favorite reste celle de l'épisode 04 dans le club de Rose. C'est du flirt total, mais sans être concret, car ce n'est ni le lieu ni le moment. Mais clairement une excellente scène. La romance est jolie et agréable sans prendre le pas sur l'intrigue. Même si les dernières minutes de l'épisode final n'étaient pas nécessaire.

Pour parler rapidement de Thaenthai (See Parattakorn Kaiyanan) et Thee (Pearl Satjakorn Chalard). Thaenthai est un gamin pourri gâté qui ne connaît qu'une façon d'extérioriser sa colère : briser quelque chose (un objet ou une personne). Sa peur se ressent dans chacune des menaces qu'il prononce. Ce qui fait de lui une personne tristement pathétique, mais aussi tristement seul face à un père violent. J'ai commencé à avoir de sérieux doutes quant à la culpabilité de Thaenthai au milieu de l'épisode 03. Et bien qu'on puisse comprendre son état, il reste un personnage mal exploité (ce qui lui fait perdre tout l'intérêt à mes yeux). L'acteur était moyennement bon dans son rôle. Et non, mon gars, tu n'impressionnes personne en faisant les gros yeux. Thee (Pearl) est le garde du corps de Thaenthai. Il pourrait tout aussi bien être mannequin vu le soin apporté à son style tout au long du drama. Après quelques roustes, il est aussi frais qu'un nouveau-né. Même Rocky ne sort pas d'un ring tiré à quatre épingles, mais ok. Je ferme les yeux (non).
Leur relation était un peu étrange. On comprend dès le début qu'il y aura quelque chose. Mais on prend un virage à 180° d'un coup. De "je suis ton garde du corps, mais je me dois d'obéir aux ordres de ton père" on se conte fleurette. Leur relation existe et c'est tout. Je ne lui ai rien trouvé.

En réalité, le plus grand défaut de Laws of Attraction, c’est sa technique catastrophique. Les scènes de combats ne sont pas convaincantes avec un ajout de bruitage risible et des ralentis ridicules. Elles ne servent pas tellement l'histoire et permettent seulement aux personnages d'avoir l'air cool. Ils ont même rajouté un bruitage d'une braguette de jean... Les maquillages ne sont pas très bons, mais ils en deviennent aveuglants à partir du moment où personne ne s'est soucié des filtres. Le grain de peau devient inexistant et la peau devient si lumineuse qu'ils deviennent des poupées, tout simplement. C'était aussi mauvais qu'Enchanté sur ce point. Certains plans sont loupés avec des images floues ou brouillées. Pour finir avec des éclairages médiocres. Sur plusieurs scènes, c'est deux ambiances à cause des éclairages (lumière naturelle vs lumière artificielle). Quant aux incrustations de fond vert en voiture, je ne vais pas m'y attarder, seulement le mentionner.

En bref, je chipote pas mal sur la technique, mais j'ai franchement passé un bon moment sur Laws of Attraction. J'ai aimé le changement de décor. Si le drama manque de charme sur sa technique et ses décors, son scénario et ses personnages sont des bases solides.

Um dos melhores lakorns que já vi, não entendo pq está mal avaliado

Eu realmente não entendo porque essa série tem uma nota tão baixa (7.9 no momento que escrevi isso). É um dos melhores BL's que já vi. Nornalmente basta um BL não ser um completo horror e ele já consegue ao menos uma nota 8. Nesse a história é boa, original, o plot é redondinho, as atuações, ao menos do núcleo principal, são dignas e o maior diferencial dessa série: Charn.

Eu estou completamente obcecada pelo Charn. Não conhecia o trabalho do Film, mas pra mim ele é em absoluto a melhor coisa da série. O Charn é um personagem anti-herói, esse tipo de personagem normalmente é bem popular. Charn tem carisma, então é difícil não gostar. Agora o jeito que o Film interpreta esse personagem é brilhante. As risadas psicóticas, as cenas de drama bem feitas, sem overacting e, principalmente, as cenas onde ele tá todo "meloso" e carente perto do Tin. Ele faz um personagem tão realista, gay, com trejeitos bem discretos, que são perceptíveis, mas não são caricatos, é tão bem feito que eu estava até acreditando que ele era mesmo gay (não sei se é ou não). Além disso, é perceptível como ele está acima de todo o resto do elenco em questão de atuação, ele devora todo mundo em cena. Virei fã.

Já o Tin é um personagem típico "brutamontes super honesto" que seria interpretado por Malvino Salvador se fosse uma novela brasileira, o que não tira de forma alguma o mérito do personagem. Ele é bem feito, bem construído, gosto muito no final quando o Charn mente e ele em nenhum momento acredita. Tin é um personagem sensível e inteligente e foi muito bem interpretado pelo Jam, que é extremamente charmoso e incorporou esse charme no personagem.

Eu gosto de como a história se desenvolve e como vamos descobrindo as coisas, de como o Charn vai voltando às origens a medida que vai se envolvendo com o Tin. Pra mim é tudo muito bem feito e, em termos de séries de ação, entrega muito bem.

Também gosto muito da avó e das amigas do Charn, elas trouxeram um toquizinho muito legal pra série.

Minha única ressalva é sobre o núcleo do Tan. Pra mim o núcleo mais fraco. Cenas muito violentas e as atuações muito abaixo em relação ao núcleo principal. As cenas de drama envolvendo o See não me convenceram, nem me emocionaram. Não sei se ele é inexperiente, mas foi uma das atuações mais fracas, porém, não muda em nada a qualidade da série.

Enfim, esse foi não apenas um dos melhores Lakorns como um dos melhores BL's que já vi no geral, vale muito a pena e a única parte ruim é que são apenas 8 episódios agora não sei como vou suprir o vazio que Charn deixo no meu coração.

Una serie accattivante che degenera poi nella glicemia

Questa è una serie che esordisce in modo accattivante. Schietta e senza filtri, mostra immagini violente anche di un certo impatto (vedi la bambina investita per strada). Una volta tanto le motivazioni alla base della trama hanno un certo spessore, senza ridicoli drammi inventati sostanzialmente sul nulla. Da una parte poi abbiamo Tin, onesto e affranto, dall'altra Charn, cinico, bramoso del potere e più che disposto a vendere l'anima al diavolo. Il suo sorriso mordace è quasi un ghigno, un elemento che stona spesso col contesto ma che in realtà sottolinea quanto poco si faccia scalfire da tutto ciò che sconvolge le persone perbene.
Certo, sotto la scorsa c'è un passato di sofferenza, ma la scorsa non è una maschera, è reale: non finge di essere cinico, la sua storia lo ha portato ad esserlo per davvero. Un pesce, che non è più un pesciolino, e che mira a diventare un pesce grosso. Ed è tanto ambizioso e pieno di sé da voler divorare uno squalo come il politico corrotto di turno. Il suo modo di muoversi è un machiavellico "il fine giustifica i mezzi", totalmente incomprensibile per una persona che vuole ostinatamente confidare nella giustizia come Tin. La prima parte della serie è incalzante, il rapporto tra i due mantiene un buon ritmo, tra la mancata fiducia di Tin e le uscite pungenti di Charn. Il clou con la serata nel locale frequentato dal giovane presunto colpevole, dove l'affiatamento tra i due protagonisti è al massimo. Poi, però, accade qualcosa. Finita la serata la tensione scema e quando i due si salutano andando ognuno a casa propria con tanto di "ciao ciao" con la mano e sorrisi...boh, ho avuto l'impressione che la storia avesse appena virato su un binario parallelo. Il problema, è che su questo binario parallelo ha continuato poi fino alla fine. Se la caccia al colpevole sostanzialmente continua fino a trovare il giusto epilogo, i due protagonisti perdono tutta la verve e si riducono a una serie di sdolcinati e banali cliché. L'interazione accattivante si dissolve e lascia posto a sorrisi glicemici, scenette ridicole, siparietti da sit com. Nulla di male in sé, peccato che questo drama nei primi episodi fosse tutt'altra cosa. Rispetto alla scene intime, non sono contraria né a quelle esplicite né a quelle non esplicite: semplicemente, ritengo debbano essere in linea con la tipologia di ogni singola serie. Questa serie, per il taglio dato all'inizio, doveva trovare un riscontro simile anche nelle scene tra i due protagonisti, che sono state invece molto più all'acqua di rose del dovuto. Niente di insormontabile, per carità, ma quasi a ribadire che la seconda parte del drama cambia completamente angolazione. Merita la visione? Sì...mettendo in conto che all'iniziale entusiasmo probabilmente seguirà una piccola delusione.

Me sorprendió

No esperaba que fuera así de fuerte y que tocara los tópicos en los que se fue la serie. En general me gustó harto, a pesar de que me cuesta ver violencia en situaciones de poder tan explícita: la muerte de la sobrina y el maltrato al hijo del senador fue siempre impactante de ver, pero bien, era necesario mostrar lo horrible que son estas personas y cómo el poder siempre corrompe. Me gustó la historia de Charn, quizá podría haberse desarrollado más desde el inicio para ir absorbiendo mejor los detalles, no de golpe como pasó. Tinn, me gustó que siempre fuera sensato y que su motor principal fuera la justicia por su sobrina. Me faltó sí que le hiciera más luto; en el epílogo podría haber estado un poco más la tristeza o algo que lo indicara, después de que le bajara el modo venganza de los episodios anteriores. Amo que haya una pareja lésbica buena y que se mostraran estos tipos distintos de familias.

Es un montón, pero bien

Es una serie muy dramática y sería, y toca temas como la moral, la injusticia y sobre todo, la impunidad, la cual aparece como objetivo del protagonista al principio de la serie, entrando en cuestionamiento con la aparición del coprotagonista y su trágica historia. No recomiendo verla si no querés sufrir, la historia es un montón y se me pinto un lagrimón básicamente en todos los capítulos. Hay una pareja secundaria que ame por completo, incluso más que la protagónica porque sentí que les faltó desarrollo como pareja. Al ser una trama tan contundente con tanto desarrollo de personaje, me faltó más conexión y evolución de ellos como pareja independiente de su trabajo, y por otro lado, sobró drama y crueldad, es lo único que les crítico. Eso y algún que otro efecto especial berreta sjsjs. Pero es muy buena, diferente y deja un fuerte mensaje
